[Bouncy music plays]

One red block with eyes has the number one over it. Beside it runs Two, a stack of two orange blocks; Three, a stack of three yellow blocks; Four, a square made of four green blocks; and Five, a stack of five blue blocks.

Voices sing, ONE, TWO, THREE,
FOUR, FIVE, NUMBERBLOCKS.

Six, two columns of three blocks, jumps into the air. Seven, a stack of seven different coloured blocks; Eight, two columns of four blocks; Nine, three columns of three blocks; and Ten, a stack of ten white blocks outlined in red; jump into the air.

Voices sing, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT,
NINE, TEN, NUMBERBLOCKS.

ONE AND ANOTHER ONE IS TWO
AND ANOTHER ONE IS…

Three sings, ME.

Voices sing, THAT’S THREE.
FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE,
TIME FOR SOME NUMBER FUN.

YOU CAN COUNT ON US,
WE'RE THE NUMBERBLOCKS.

Rain falls from a dull grey, cloudy sky over a grey castle. A rainbow sparkles as it arcs through a window and lands on Seven. Seven jumps jubilantly past bookcases filled with colourful books that correspond the colours of the Numberblock that matches the number above each bookcase.

[Rain pitters, chiming, gasp]

Seven says, A RAINBOW!

[Nine groans]

Nine says, IT MUST BE NICE
BEING SO MANY DIFFERENT
COLOURS. I'M JUST GREY,
GREY, GREY.

Seven says, CHEER UP, NINE.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN
YOUR LUCK WILL-- OH!

Seven leans against the bookcase labeled ‘Seven’ and it opens to reveal a secret passage. Seven falls in just as One walks up to Nine.

One and Nine say, OH!

One says, OH!

Four says, I HEARD A NOISE.
OH, A WIZARD'S DEN.

Two, Three, Eight, and Ten peer into the room.

The Numberblocks say, OH! WOW!

Seven looks at a book open on a pedestal.

[Upbeat music plays]

Seven says, THIS MUST BE YOUR
LUCKY DAY, NINE.

"DRAW A NUMBER IN THE AIR.
THAT MANY COLOURS YOU
WILL SHARE."

Three repeats, "DRAW A NUMBER"?
YOU CAN DRAW ME IF YOU LIKE.

One says, I THINK IT MEANS DRAW
A NUMBER LIKE THESE, OUR
NUMBERLINGS. AND A NUMBER
ONE IS ONE STRAIGHT LINE
GOING DOWN. ONE COLOUR!

All the Numberblocks say, OH.

[Chuckling]

One waves a wand and red mist fills the room. All of the Numberblocks turn red.

Three takes the wand.

Three says, WE'RE ALL RED.
ONE COLOUR ISN'T VERY
EXCITING. LET'S TRY THREE.

MAKE A CURVE JUST LIKE ME.
THEN ONE MORE, AND YOU'VE
GOT THREE.

Yellow, orange, and red mist fills the room and the Numberblocks change colour.

The Numberblocks say, OOH!

Nine says, WHAT COLOURFUL STRIPES!

One says, OOH!

Two says, THAT'S FUNNY

Three says, THREE COLOURS
EACH. SO, WHO'S NEXT?

Nine says, I'M THE LARGEST HERE.
THAT MEANS THE MOST COLOURS.

A LOOP AND THEN A DOWNWARD
LINE. THAT'S THE WAY TO MAKE
A NINE.

[Bloop]

Purple, grey, green, and cyan mist fills the room and the Numberblocks change colour.

The Numberblocks say, OH.

Nine smiles and says, NINE COLOURS.
BEAT THAT.

[Laughing]

Zero appears from under a wizard’s pointed cap.

[Boinging]

Zero says, THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN.
CAN I HAVE A GO? ROUND IN A LOOP
LIKE AN EMPTY HOOP MAKES ZERO!

ZERO COLOURS!

The Numberblocks disappear.

Zero says, OH. WHOOPS.

Three asks, WHERE'S
EVERYONE GONE?

Nine says, OH, SORRY!

Items in the room wobble as the invisible Numberblocks bump into each other.

[Chatter]

Eight says, OCTOBLOCK, BREATHE.
ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE,
SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT. BREATHE.

Bright yellow light flashes.

[Majestic music plays, sighs]

Eight says, THAT'S BETTER.

[Boinging]

Zero says, I'M SORRY. THE WAND
TURNED US ALL ZERO COLOURS,
AND ITSELF, TOO.

One says, THE WAND-- WHERE IS IT?

Zero says, I DON'T KNOW.

SOMEONE BUMPED INTO ME,
AND I DROPPED IT.

[Gasping]

Seven says, MAYBE THERE'S
A COUNTER-SPELL IN HERE.

Pages turn in the book.

[Pages rustle]

[Upbeat music plays]

Seven says, UH... AHA!

"YOU'LL STAY INVISIBLE UNTIL...
YOU DRAW YOUR NUMBER WITH
THIS QUILL."

Zero says, MY NUMBER'S EASY
TO REMEMBER.

ROUND IN A LOOP LIKE AN EMPTY
HOOP MAKES ZERO!

NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

[Laughs]

One says, MY TURN.

ONE LINE DOWN LIKE A
STICK MAKES A ONE.
THAT WAS QUICK.

OVER TO YOU, TWO.

[Pop]

Two says, I CAN'T REMEMBER
HOW MY NUMBER LOOKS.
I'LL BE INVISIBLE FOREVER!

[Nine gasps]

Nine says, WE COULD COPY OUR
NUMBERS FROM THE BOOKCASE!
QUICK!

[Chatter, thumping, grunting, chiming, upbeat music plays]

Zero says, OUR NUMBERS.
LET'S TRACE THEM TOGETHER.
ROUND IN A LOOP LIKE AN EMPTY
HOOP MAKES ZERO!

One says, ONE LINE DOWN
LIKE A STICK MAKES A ONE.
THAT WAS QUICK.

Two says, ONE CURVE DOWN
IS WHAT YOU DO.

THEN STRAIGHT ACROSS TO
MAKE A TWO!

Two appears.

[Pop, slide whistle]

Three says, MAKE A CURVE JUST
LIKE ME. THEN ONE MORE, AND
YOU'VE GOT THREE!

[Pop, slide whistle]

Four says, DOWN AND RIGHT.
OFF ONCE MORE.

CROSS THE LINE.
THAT'S A FOUR.

[Pop, slide whistle]

Four says excitedly, IT'S WORKING!
IT'S WORKING!

[Cheering]

Five says, DOWN AND AROUND,
THEN A LINE UP HIGH.
HIGH FIVE!

[Pop, slide whistle, upbeat music continues]

Six says, START WITH A CURVE.
ROUND WITH A SWISH. THAT'S
THE WAY TO MAKE A SIX.

[Pop, slide whistle]

Seven says, A LINE IN THE SKY AND
DOWN TO THE GROUND. THAT'S
HOW LUCKY SEVEN'S FOUND.

[Pop, slide whistle]

Eight says, AN S TO START.
LOOKING GREAT.

LOOP BACK UP, AND THERE'S
YOUR EIGHT.

[Pop, slide whistle]

Nine says, A LOOP AND THEN
A DOWNWARD LINE. THAT'S
THE WAY TO MAKE A NINE.

AND WHAT FINE FIGURES WE
ALL MAKE.

[Cheering]
