Messy drives onto a loop de loop and underwater.

LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS!
Messy runs into a domed shaped house. Inside, he joins a blue haired boy who wears a striped blue shirt and blue hat.
Messy shouts, FELIX!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
A red haired girl wearing red overalls and a red hat waves to Messy.
Messy shouts, ZOE!
Zoe high-fives Messy.
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Messy cheers, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Zim, who has a square shaped body and computer face appears with Zam, a green triangle, and Zoom, a pink creature. Zam’s science experiment explodes, filling the room with smoke.

In OKIDO, Messy dances down a street with his friends.

A red balloon floats through the air among the tops of trees in a yard.
[Grunting]
[Rustling]
The balloon floats through tall grass beside a table of birthday hats and party decorations.
[Messy grunting]
Messy jumps and reaches for the balloon.
He groans, OH!
I REALLY WANTED THAT RED
BALLOON.
I LOVE FLOATY BALLOONS BEST.
THEY'RE SO COOL!
[Messy sighing]
Messy says, HMM.
In the distance, the balloon floats up into the sky.
Messy says, WHY DO SOME BALLOONS FLOAT BUT
OTHERS DON'T?
Two balloons lie on the ground.
Messy says, WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO TO
OKIDO!
[Magical music plays]
A green and white tunnel transports Messy to OKIDO. Messy bounces down a set of trampolines to the ground where he greets Zoe and Felix.
Messy says, HIYA, ZOE.
HIYA, FELIX.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Felix says, HEY, MESSY.
WE'RE OFF TO SEE –
Zoe says, SHH!
She holds her finger to her mouth.
Messy says, WHAT?
Zoe whispers, YOU MUSTN'T TELL ANYONE.
Messy says, I WON'T, I WON'T.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO SEE?
Zoe whispers, WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE
BRAND-NEW, MASSIVE HADRON
COLLIDER SLIDE BEFORE ANYONE
ELSE.
Messy says, WOW!
THE HYDRON CAULIFLOWER SLIDE?
BUT I THOUGHT IT WASN'T OPEN
YET.
Zoe quietly says, IT'S NOT.
THERE'S GOING TO BE A BIG
OPENING CEREMONY THIS AFTERNOON
WITH MAYOR OKI!
Felix says, WE CAN'T WAIT, SO WE'RE GOING
TO GO AND LOOK AT IT NOW.
BUT WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL.
[Zoe giggling]
Zoe says, WE DON'T WANT TO GET CAUGHT!
ALL SET, FELIX?
Felix says, CHECK.
Zoe says, LET'S GO!
[Messy whistling]
Messy’s white and blue convertible leaves the garage beside the house. Messy, Zoe and Felix hop in. The roof closes over them.
Messy says, LET'S SKI-DOODLE,
OKIDOODLE!
[Upbeat music plays]
Messy drives down to a park.
[Tires screeching]
Zoe and Felix follow Messy up to a park entrance blocked by a ribbon. A giant red cover hides the tall slide.
Messy cheers, WHOO-HOO-HOO!
He runs through the ribbon.
He says, WOW!
LOTS AND LOTS OF FLOATY, BIG
BALLOONS!
Messy and the kids look at a huge bundle of floating red and white balloons.
Messy says, I LOVE BALLOONS!
THEY'RE SO FLOATY, FLOATY!
MUST TOUCH.
Zoe whispers, MESSY, WAIT!
Messy says, I JUST WANT TO LOOK AT THEM.
He admires the tied down balloons.
Zoe says, PLEASE, DON'T TOUCH THEM!
Messy says, JUST THE ONE, JUST TO HOLD
FOR A BIT.
He touches one of the balloon’s strings. The balloons float up out of Messy’s grasp and into the sky.
Zoe wails, MESSY!
Messy yells, BOOM!
Zoe says, MESSY!
Messy says, OOPS.
Zoe and Felix say, OH, NO!
The balloons float further away.
Zoe says, WE'VE GOT TO GET THE BALLOONS
BACK, OR THE OPENING CEREMONY
WILL BE RUINED.
Felix says, OH.
DON'T WORRY.
I'VE GOT JUST THE THING!
He pulls deflated green balloons out of his bag and places them on the ground.
Messy says, THEY LOOK A BIT, UH, THIN,
FELIX.
[Felix laughing]
Felix says, THAT'S BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T
GOT ANY AIR IN THEM YET.
He blows up a balloon with an air pump. The balloon slips off the pump and deflates.
[Air hissing]
[Felix and Messy laughing]
Felix offers Messy the hand pump and a yellow balloon. Messy pumps air into the balloon. It grows bigger and bigger, then pops.
[Popping]
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, WHOO!
[Zoe laughing]
Messy tapes a green balloon to the red cover.
Zoe says, THEY'RE NOT THE SAME AS THE
OTHERS.
Felix says, THERE AREN'T AS MANY.
A balloon falls to the ground.
Messy says, AND THEY'RE NOT FLOATING.
DO YOU THINK ANYONE WILL NOTICE?
Zoe sighs, UGH.
She rolls her eyes.
She says, WE BETTER GO AND FIND ZIM, ZAM,
AND ZOOM.
THEY'LL KNOW WHERE WE CAN GET
MORE BALLOONS, LOTS OF THEM,
AND ONES THAT FLOAT.
COME ON!
LET'S GO!
[Upbeat music plays]
Messy drives to the city with Zoe and Felix. They ride up an elevator in the convertible.
[Dinging]
Inside, Messy opens the lab’s door.
He says, HIYA, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM.
Colourful beakers line a shelf. Zim waves as he walks by. Zam turns away from a table filled with beakers. She holds a mug.
She says, HELLO.
[Zoom buzzing]
Zam says, I'VE JUST GOT TO MOVE THIS CUP
OF...
Smoke billows out of her cup.
[Explosion]
Soot covers Zam. Messy, Zoe and Felix look worried.
[Zam coughing]
Zam says, ...PEPPER TEA.
I DIDN'T THINK THAT WOULD
HAPPEN.
PERHAPS I SHOULDN'T HAVE ADDED
THAT PINCH OF CHILLI.
Zoe says, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!
WE NEED YOUR
HELP!
MESSY…
Messy shakes his head.
Zoe says, …UH, WE... SORT OF…
ACCIDENTALLY…
UH, WELL, THE THING IS, WE NEED
A REALLY BIG BUNCH OF BALLOONS
THAT FLOAT, NOT ONES THAT DON'T.
Messy says, I WAS JUST TRYING TO HOLD
ONE, JUST ONE SPECIAL FLOATY
BALLOON.
Zim says, OOH!
IF YOU NEED BALLOONS THAT FLOAT,
YOU'LL BE NEEDING HELIUM-FILLED
BALLOONS.
Zoe and Messy say, COOL.
Zoe says, YES!
WHAT'S HELIUM?
Zam explains, HELIUM IS A GAS THAT'S
LIGHTER THAN AIR.
She wipes the soot off herself.
Felix says, UH, I THOUGHT AIR WAS LIGHT.
Zam says, WELL, IT IS, BUT TO GET
SOMETHING TO FLOAT IN THE AIR…
Zoe says, …IT WOULD HAVE TO BE FULL OF
SOMETHING THAT'S EVEN LIGHTER
THAN AIR!
GOT IT.
Messy says, UH, YEAH, I KNEW THAT.
Felix says, BUT WHERE DO WE GET HELI…
WHAT'S IT CALLED?
FLOATY BALLOONS?
Zim says, COME ON, ZAM.
LET'S SHOW THEM.
Messy says, OH, YEAH!
WE GET TO GO IN THE SHIP!
He follows Zim and Zam to the ship.
He asks, CAN I DRIVE, ZIM?
PLEASE, CAN I?
Zam opens the door to the ship.
She says, I'M NOT SURE THAT WOULD BE
SUCH A GOOD IDEA.
Messy says, OH, PLEASE, GO ON.
CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I?
CAN I, CAN I?
The ship is flown out of the lap.
Messy says, PLEASE, CAN I?
OH, GO ON.
CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I?
CAN I, CAN I?
[Messy giggling]
In the ship, Zoe, Felix, Zim and Zam sit at the control panel wearing seat belts. Zoom floats around them. Messy runs up to the controls between Zim and Zam.
[Messy giggling]
Messy says, RED BUTTONS, GREEN BUTTONS.
OH, I LOVE BUTTONS.
Zam says, MESSY, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING.
Zim says, MESSY, WHY DON'T YOU COME AND
SIT DOWN, PLEASE?
Messy asks, WHAT MAKES THIS SHIP FLY,
ZAM?
He takes a seat in front of levers and buttons.
Zam says, THIS SHIP USES A SPECIAL
ECO-STEAM FUEL TO FLY.
SEE?
She points to icons on the wall behind the controls. Part of a green circle circles the tree icon. Messy puts on his seat belt.
Zam explains, THAT TELLS US HOW MUCH FUEL WE
HAVE.
Messy glance at the tree icon, then back at the buttons. He grins and starts pressing buttons.
Zam continues, I DREAD TO THINK WHAT WOULD
HAPPEN IF WE HADN'T GOT...
[Messy giggling]
Messy says, I LOVE BUTTONS AND LEVERS.
I WONDER WHAT THIS ONE DOES?
He pulls one of the levers.
[Clanging]
The tree icon changes colours. Messy frowns.
Zim says, LOOK!
The others look out the front window.
Messy asks, WHERE ARE WE?
Zam says, THE LEGENDARY VALLEY OF THE
LOST BALLOONS.
The valley is full of colourful floating balloons.
Zoe gasps, WHOA!
Felix says, AMAZING!
Zoe says, AMAZING!
Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA-BOOM-BOOM!
He looks amazed.
Zam says, YES.
IT'S QUITE A SIGHT, EH?
The team admires the balloons in the valley.
Zim asks, HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT
HAPPENS TO ALL THE BALLOONS
THAT SLIP THROUGH YOUR FINGERS
AND DRIFT UP, UP, AND AWAY?
Zoe says, THEY COME... HERE?
She points out the window.
Zim confirms, THEY COME HERE.
Felix says, OH, WOW!
OH, DO YOU THINK THOSE BALLOONS
MESSY…UH, UM…WE LOST HAVE
COME HERE?
Zoe says, YES!
FELIX, LOOK!
THERE THEY ARE!
The bundle of red and white balloons float past the ship.
Zoe says, QUICK.
GO FASTER, ZIM.
WE'VE GOT TO CATCH THEM.
The ship lands in the valley as the balloons float by.
[High pitched chittering]
Zoe and Felix chase after the balloons. Zoe reaches for the balloons.
[Zoe grunting]
The balloons float out of reach. Felix jumps toward the balloons.
[Felix grunting]
The balloons float away.
Messy cheers, WHOO-HOO-HOO!
He hops up to a single red, floating balloon.
He says, HELLO.
HEY, YOU'RE COOL.
SO FLOATY.
I'M MESSY.
I'M A MONSTER, BUT I'M NOT
SCARY.
[Chittering continues]
Zoe asks, WHERE'S THAT NOISE COMING
FROM?
Messy grabs the red balloons string. He holds the balloon against his eat.
He says, IT'S COMING FROM INSIDE THE
BALLOONS!
[Chittering continues]
Inside the balloon, different coloured particles float about.
The particles say, LIGHT.
[Zim clearing his throat]
Zim says, AS YOU CAN SEE, THE HELIUMS
ARE VERY LIGHT.
One of the helium particles says, HELLO!
Messy says, OH, HELLO!
Zim says, AND IN THIS BALLOON…
He hands Messy a purple balloon. Messy lets the red balloon float away.
Zim continues, …THE AIR
PARTICLES, THEY ARE MUCH
HEAVIER.
[Deep toned chittering]
In the purple balloon, the larger particles slowly float amongst each other.
They say, HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY.
Messy says, OH!
HELLO!
Zoe says, COME ON, MESSY!
Felix says, WE'VE GOT TO CATCH THAT
EXTRA-BIG BUNCH OF BALLOONS
AND TAKE THEM BACK TO THE
PLAYGROUND.
Zoe says, QUICK.
YOU GO THAT WAY AND, UH, WE'LL
GO...
[High pitched chittering]
The red and white balloon bundle floats past the friends.
Zoe says, … THIS WAY.
She points to the direction of the red and white balloons. She runs after the bundle with Felix. It dips toward the ground.
[High pitched giggling]
Zoe reaches for the balloons.
[Zoe grunting]
Felix reaches for the balloons.
[Felix grunting]
Felix chases after the balloons as they float further away. Messy runs up to Zoe.
Zoe says, MESSY, WE NEED YOU TO JUMP
REALLY HIGH.
Messy says, OKI-DOO!
He runs after the balloons.
[Messy panting]
[Messy grunting]
Messy leaps off the ground with his arm reaching for the bundle of balloons.
Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA-BA-LA-BOOM-BOOM!
He grabs the balloons and pulls them back down to the ground.
[Chittering continues]
Zoe cheers, YAY!
Messy cheers, I DID IT!
I DID IT!
The red and white balloon bundle lifts Messy off the ground.
Messy says, WHA?
Zoe jumps off the ground and grabs Messy.
She yelps, WOAH!
Felix jumps and grabs Zoe’s ankle.
[Felix grunting]
Felix sinks back down the ground.
He says, GOT YOU!
WHOA.
He pulls Zoe and Messy down.
He says, THEY NEARLY CARRIED YOU AWAY!
Zoe holds onto Messy.
She says, WE NEED TO TIE THEM ONTO
SOMETHING HEAVY.
She and Felix pull Messy to the ground as he starts to float away.
Zoe says, UH, UM, ZIM, ZAM!
COULD YOU...?
Zim says, OF COURSE.
[Zoom beeping]
[Helium particles chittering]
[Helium particles giggling]
Zam holds onto a rope that is tied to Zim, who is tied to the balloons. Zim floats underneath the balloons.
Zoe says, LET'S GET THESE BALLOONS BACK
TO THE PLAYGROUND.
Zim says, OH, YES, WE'D BETTER GET
GOING, OR THERE WON'T BE AN
OPENING CEREMONY.
[Felix and Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, COME ON!
WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!
The team hurries back to the ship. Inside, Zim, still floating, is tied to his seat at the controls.
[Zoom buzzing]
Zam pushes a lever on the controls.
[Clicking]
[Whirring]
Zam frowns. She pushes another lever.
[Whirring]
Zam looks frustrated. The tree icon at the back of the ship is pink. It pulses.
Zam says, WELL, I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S
HAPPENED.
YOU DID FILL IT UP BEFORE WE
LEFT, DIDN'T YOU, ZIM?
Zim says, I MOST CERTAINLY DID.
THE FUEL TANK WAS DEFINITELY
FULL WHEN WE LEFT.
Messy looks at the tree icon.
He says, OH, SO THAT'S WHAT THAT
LEVER WAS.
The others look shocked.
[Gasping]
Messy says, I'M REALLY SORRY!
I WAS SORT OF PLAYING WITH THE
LEVER, AND, WELL, IT MUST'VE
EMPTIED THE FUEL.
Zam says, OH, DEAR.
UH... WELL, NEVER MIND, MESSY.
[Zam laughing nervously]
Zam says, WE'LL JUST HAVE TO THINK OF...
SOME OTHER WAY TO GET BACK...
HOME.
[Echoing]
Zoe and Felix say, OH NO.
Messy asks, WHAT ABOUT USING SOME OF MY
MONSTER PUFF?
[Messy blowing repeatedly]
[Zoom beeping]
The others frown. Zoe glances at the bundle of red and white balloons.
[Helium particles chittering]
She says, WAIT!
I'VE GOT AN IDEA.
Zim says, LIGHTBULB MOMENT.
LIGHTBULB MOMENT.
He displays a light bulb on his screen.
[Soft music plays]
[Helium particles chittering]
Multiple bundles of balloons are tied to the ship. Floating, they carry the ship out of the valley. Back in the park, Mayor Oki stands at the steps of a podium. He wears a key charm around his neck. The bundle of red and white balloons are tied down in front of the hidden slide.
[Mayor Oki clearing his throat]
[Fanfare plays]
Mayor Oki walks up to the podium. Messy and his friends stand in the crowd facing the mayor.
[Microphone feedback]
[Mayor Oki clearing his throat]
Mayor Oki says, CITIZENS OF OKIDO, CHILDREN,
MONSTERS, ROBOTS, FUTURE VOTERS.
IT IS WITH GREAT PRIDE THAT I
DECLARE THE AMAZING,
UNBELIEVABLE, STUPENDOUS,
OKI-TASTIC, ENORMOUS, NEW HADRON
COLLIDER SLIDE... OPEN!
He cuts the balloons strings. The balloons float upward as the slide is revealed to the crowd.
[Crowd cheering]
[Cheerful music plays]
The balloons float high into the sky above the twisty slide.
Messy says, BYE-BYE!
BYE, BALLOONS!
Felix says, SEE YOU, BALLOONS!
Zoe says, BYE, BALLOONS!
Felix says, BYE!
The friends wave to the balloons as they float away.
Zim says, ENJOY
THE VALLEY OF THE LOST
BALLOONS!
Messy sits at the top of the slide.
He says, THIS NEW SLIDE IS BRILLIANT!
He slides down with Felix and Zoe.
[Cheering]
Felix cheers, WOAH!
Zoe cheers, YEAH!
Messy cheers, WHOO-HOO!
At the bottom of the slide, Messy says, BUT IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME.
SEE YOU SOON.
Zoe says, BYE, MESSY.
Felix says, BYE, MESSY
Zoe and Felix wave to Messy. Messy returns to the yard with the balloons on the ground.
Messy says, I DON'T MIND IF MY BALLOON
DOESN'T FLOAT.
I LIKE IT HANGING AROUND WITH
ME.
THOSE FLOATY BALLOONS ARE A BIT
TOO HARD TO KEEP HOLD OF.
BYE-BYE!
He waves.

BALLOONS!
Messy and the kids look at a huge bundle of floating red and white balloons.
Messy says, I LOVE BALLOONS!
THEY'RE SO FLOATY, FLOATY!
MUST TOUCH.
Zoe whispers, MESSY, WAIT!
Messy says, I JUST WANT TO LOOK AT THEM.
He admires the tied down balloons.
Zoe says, PLEASE, DON'T TOUCH THEM!
Messy says, JUST THE ONE, JUST TO HOLD
FOR A BIT.
He touches one of the balloon’s strings. The balloons float up out of Messy’s grasp and into the sky.
Zoe wails, MESSY!
Messy yells, BOOM!
Zoe says, MESSY!
Messy says, OOPS.
Zoe and Felix say, OH, NO!
The balloons float further away.
Zoe says, WE'VE GOT TO GET THE BALLOONS
BACK, OR THE OPENING CEREMONY
WILL BE RUINED.
Felix says, OH.
DON'T WORRY.
I'VE GOT JUST THE THING!
He pulls deflated green balloons out of his bag and places them on the ground.
Messy says, THEY LOOK A BIT, UH, THIN,
FELIX.
[Felix laughing]
Felix says, THAT'S BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T
GOT ANY AIR IN THEM YET.
He blows up a balloon with an air pump. The balloon slips off the pump and deflates.
[Air hissing]
[Felix and Messy laughing]
Felix offers Messy the hand pump and a yellow balloon. Messy pumps air into the balloon. It grows bigger and bigger, then pops.
[Popping]
[Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, WHOO!
[Zoe laughing]
Messy tapes a green balloon to the red cover.
Zoe says, THEY'RE NOT THE SAME AS THE
OTHERS.
Felix says, THERE AREN'T AS MANY.
A balloon falls to the ground.
Messy says, AND THEY'RE NOT FLOATING.
DO YOU THINK ANYONE WILL NOTICE?
Zoe sighs, UGH.
She rolls her eyes.
She says, WE BETTER GO AND FIND ZIM, ZAM,
AND ZOOM.
THEY'LL KNOW WHERE WE CAN GET
MORE BALLOONS, LOTS OF THEM,
AND ONES THAT FLOAT.
COME ON!
LET'S GO!
[Upbeat music plays]
Messy drives to the city with Zoe and Felix. They ride up an elevator in the convertible.
[Dinging]
Inside, Messy opens the lab’s door.
He says, HIYA, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM.
Colourful beakers line a shelf. Zim waves as he walks by. Zam turns away from a table filled with beakers. She holds a mug.
She says, HELLO.
[Zoom buzzing]
Zam says, I'VE JUST GOT TO MOVE THIS CUP
OF...
Smoke billows out of her cup.
[Explosion]
Soot covers Zam. Messy, Zoe and Felix look worried.
[Zam coughing]
Zam says, ...PEPPER TEA.
I DIDN'T THINK THAT WOULD
HAPPEN.
PERHAPS I SHOULDN'T HAVE ADDED
THAT PINCH OF CHILLI.
Zoe says, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!
WE NEED YOUR
HELP!
MESSY…
Messy shakes his head.
Zoe says, …UH, WE... SORT OF…
ACCIDENTALLY…
UH, WELL, THE THING IS, WE NEED
A REALLY BIG BUNCH OF BALLOONS
THAT FLOAT, NOT ONES THAT DON'T.
Messy says, I WAS JUST TRYING TO HOLD
ONE, JUST ONE SPECIAL FLOATY
BALLOON.
Zim says, OOH!
IF YOU NEED BALLOONS THAT FLOAT,
YOU'LL BE NEEDING HELIUM-FILLED
BALLOONS.
Zoe and Messy say, COOL.
Zoe says, YES!
WHAT'S HELIUM?
Zam explains, HELIUM IS A GAS THAT'S
LIGHTER THAN AIR.
She wipes the soot off herself.
Felix says, UH, I THOUGHT AIR WAS LIGHT.
Zam says, WELL, IT IS, BUT TO GET
SOMETHING TO FLOAT IN THE AIR…
Zoe says, …IT WOULD HAVE TO BE FULL OF
SOMETHING THAT'S EVEN LIGHTER
THAN AIR!
GOT IT.
Messy says, UH, YEAH, I KNEW THAT.
Felix says, BUT WHERE DO WE GET HELI…
WHAT'S IT CALLED?
FLOATY BALLOONS?
Zim says, COME ON, ZAM.
LET'S SHOW THEM.
Messy says, OH, YEAH!
WE GET TO GO IN THE SHIP!
He follows Zim and Zam to the ship.
He asks, CAN I DRIVE, ZIM?
PLEASE, CAN I?
Zam opens the door to the ship.
She says, I'M NOT SURE THAT WOULD BE
SUCH A GOOD IDEA.
Messy says, OH, PLEASE, GO ON.
CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I?
CAN I, CAN I?
The ship is flown out of the lap.
Messy says, PLEASE, CAN I?
OH, GO ON.
CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I?
CAN I, CAN I?
[Messy giggling]
In the ship, Zoe, Felix, Zim and Zam sit at the control panel wearing seat belts. Zoom floats around them. Messy runs up to the controls between Zim and Zam.
[Messy giggling]
Messy says, RED BUTTONS, GREEN BUTTONS.
OH, I LOVE BUTTONS.
Zam says, MESSY, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING.
Zim says, MESSY, WHY DON'T YOU COME AND
SIT DOWN, PLEASE?
Messy asks, WHAT MAKES THIS SHIP FLY,
ZAM?
He takes a seat in front of levers and buttons.
Zam says, THIS SHIP USES A SPECIAL
ECO-STEAM FUEL TO FLY.
SEE?
She points to icons on the wall behind the controls. Part of a green circle circles the tree icon. Messy puts on his seat belt.
Zam explains, THAT TELLS US HOW MUCH FUEL WE
HAVE.
Messy glance at the tree icon, then back at the buttons. He grins and starts pressing buttons.
Zam continues, I DREAD TO THINK WHAT WOULD
HAPPEN IF WE HADN'T GOT...
[Messy giggling]
Messy says, I LOVE BUTTONS AND LEVERS.
I WONDER WHAT THIS ONE DOES?
He pulls one of the levers.
[Clanging]
The tree icon changes colours. Messy frowns.
Zim says, LOOK!
The others look out the front window.
Messy asks, WHERE ARE WE?
Zam says, THE LEGENDARY VALLEY OF THE
LOST BALLOONS.
The valley is full of colourful floating balloons.
Zoe gasps, WHOA!
Felix says, AMAZING!
Zoe says, AMAZING!
Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA-BOOM-BOOM!
He looks amazed.
Zam says, YES.
IT'S QUITE A SIGHT, EH?
The team admires the balloons in the valley.
Zim asks, HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT
HAPPENS TO ALL THE BALLOONS
THAT SLIP THROUGH YOUR FINGERS
AND DRIFT UP, UP, AND AWAY?
Zoe says, THEY COME... HERE?
She points out the window.
Zim confirms, THEY COME HERE.
Felix says, OH, WOW!
OH, DO YOU THINK THOSE BALLOONS
MESSY…UH, UM…WE LOST HAVE
COME HERE?
Zoe says, YES!
FELIX, LOOK!
THERE THEY ARE!
The bundle of red and white balloons float past the ship.
Zoe says, QUICK.
GO FASTER, ZIM.
WE'VE GOT TO CATCH THEM.
The ship lands in the valley as the balloons float by.
[High pitched chittering]
Zoe and Felix chase after the balloons. Zoe reaches for the balloons.
[Zoe grunting]
The balloons float out of reach. Felix jumps toward the balloons.
[Felix grunting]
The balloons float away.
Messy cheers, WHOO-HOO-HOO!
He hops up to a single red, floating balloon.
He says, HELLO.
HEY, YOU'RE COOL.
SO FLOATY.
I'M MESSY.
I'M A MONSTER, BUT I'M NOT
SCARY.
[Chittering continues]
Zoe asks, WHERE'S THAT NOISE COMING
FROM?
Messy grabs the red balloons string. He holds the balloon against his eat.
He says, IT'S COMING FROM INSIDE THE
BALLOONS!
[Chittering continues]
Inside the balloon, different coloured particles float about.
The particles say, LIGHT.
[Zim clearing his throat]
Zim says, AS YOU CAN SEE, THE HELIUMS
ARE VERY LIGHT.
One of the helium particles says, HELLO!
Messy says, OH, HELLO!
Zim says, AND IN THIS BALLOON…
He hands Messy a purple balloon. Messy lets the red balloon float away.
Zim continues, …THE AIR
PARTICLES, THEY ARE MUCH
HEAVIER.
[Deep toned chittering]
In the purple balloon, the larger particles slowly float amongst each other.
They say, HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY.
Messy says, OH!
HELLO!
Zoe says, COME ON, MESSY!
Felix says, WE'VE GOT TO CATCH THAT
EXTRA-BIG BUNCH OF BALLOONS
AND TAKE THEM BACK TO THE
PLAYGROUND.
Zoe says, QUICK.
YOU GO THAT WAY AND, UH, WE'LL
GO...
[High pitched chittering]
The red and white balloon bundle floats past the friends.
Zoe says, … THIS WAY.
She points to the direction of the red and white balloons. She runs after the bundle with Felix. It dips toward the ground.
[High pitched giggling]
Zoe reaches for the balloons.
[Zoe grunting]
Felix reaches for the balloons.
[Felix grunting]
Felix chases after the balloons as they float further away. Messy runs up to Zoe.
Zoe says, MESSY, WE NEED YOU TO JUMP
REALLY HIGH.
Messy says, OKI-DOO!
He runs after the balloons.
[Messy panting]
[Messy grunting]
Messy leaps off the ground with his arm reaching for the bundle of balloons.
Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA-BA-LA-BOOM-BOOM!
He grabs the balloons and pulls them back down to the ground.
[Chittering continues]
Zoe cheers, YAY!
Messy cheers, I DID IT!
I DID IT!
The red and white balloon bundle lifts Messy off the ground.
Messy says, WHA?
Zoe jumps off the ground and grabs Messy.
She yelps, WOAH!
Felix jumps and grabs Zoe’s ankle.
[Felix grunting]
Felix sinks back down the ground.
He says, GOT YOU!
WHOA.
He pulls Zoe and Messy down.
He says, THEY NEARLY CARRIED YOU AWAY!
Zoe holds onto Messy.
She says, WE NEED TO TIE THEM ONTO
SOMETHING HEAVY.
She and Felix pull Messy to the ground as he starts to float away.
Zoe says, UH, UM, ZIM, ZAM!
COULD YOU...?
Zim says, OF COURSE.
[Zoom beeping]
[Helium particles chittering]
[Helium particles giggling]
Zam holds onto a rope that is tied to Zim, who is tied to the balloons. Zim floats underneath the balloons.
Zoe says, LET'S GET THESE BALLOONS BACK
TO THE PLAYGROUND.
Zim says, OH, YES, WE'D BETTER GET
GOING, OR THERE WON'T BE AN
OPENING CEREMONY.
[Felix and Zoe gasping]
Zoe says, COME ON!
WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!
The team hurries back to the ship. Inside, Zim, still floating, is tied to his seat at the controls.
[Zoom buzzing]
Zam pushes a lever on the controls.
[Clicking]
[Whirring]
Zam frowns. She pushes another lever.
[Whirring]
Zam looks frustrated. The tree icon at the back of the ship is pink. It pulses.
Zam says, WELL, I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S
HAPPENED.
YOU DID FILL IT UP BEFORE WE
LEFT, DIDN'T YOU, ZIM?
Zim says, I MOST CERTAINLY DID.
THE FUEL TANK WAS DEFINITELY
FULL WHEN WE LEFT.
Messy looks at the tree icon.
He says, OH, SO THAT'S WHAT THAT
LEVER WAS.
The others look shocked.
[Gasping]
Messy says, I'M REALLY SORRY!
I WAS SORT OF PLAYING WITH THE
LEVER, AND, WELL, IT MUST'VE
EMPTIED THE FUEL.
Zam says, OH, DEAR.
UH... WELL, NEVER MIND, MESSY.
[Zam laughing nervously]
Zam says, WE'LL JUST HAVE TO THINK OF...
SOME OTHER WAY TO GET BACK...
HOME.
[Echoing]
Zoe and Felix say, OH NO.
Messy asks, WHAT ABOUT USING SOME OF MY
MONSTER PUFF?
[Messy blowing repeatedly]
[Zoom beeping]
The others frown. Zoe glances at the bundle of red and white balloons.
[Helium particles chittering]
She says, WAIT!
I'VE GOT AN IDEA.
Zim says, LIGHTBULB MOMENT.
LIGHTBULB MOMENT.
He displays a light bulb on his screen.
[Soft music plays]
[Helium particles chittering]
Multiple bundles of balloons are tied to the ship. Floating, they carry the ship out of the valley. Back in the park, Mayor Oki stands at the steps of a podium. He wears a key charm around his neck. The bundle of red and white balloons are tied down in front of the hidden slide.
[Mayor Oki clearing his throat]
[Fanfare plays]
Mayor Oki walks up to the podium. Messy and his friends stand in the crowd facing the mayor.
[Microphone feedback]
[Mayor Oki clearing his throat]
Mayor Oki says, CITIZENS OF OKIDO, CHILDREN,
MONSTERS, ROBOTS, FUTURE VOTERS.
IT IS WITH GREAT PRIDE THAT I
DECLARE THE AMAZING,
UNBELIEVABLE, STUPENDOUS,
OKI-TASTIC, ENORMOUS, NEW HADRON
COLLIDER SLIDE... OPEN!
He cuts the balloons strings. The balloons float upward as the slide is revealed to the crowd.
[Crowd cheering]
[Cheerful music plays]
The balloons float high into the sky above the twisty slide.
Messy says, BYE-BYE!
BYE, BALLOONS!
Felix says, SEE YOU, BALLOONS!
Zoe says, BYE, BALLOONS!
Felix says, BYE!
The friends wave to the balloons as they float away.
Zim says, ENJOY
THE VALLEY OF THE LOST
BALLOONS!
Messy sits at the top of the slide.
He says, THIS NEW SLIDE IS BRILLIANT!
He slides down with Felix and Zoe.
[Cheering]
Felix cheers, WOAH!
Zoe cheers, YEAH!
Messy cheers, WHOO-HOO!
At the bottom of the slide, Messy says, BUT IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME.
SEE YOU SOON.
Zoe says, BYE, MESSY.
Felix says, BYE, MESSY
Zoe and Felix wave to Messy. Messy returns to the yard with the balloons on the ground.
Messy says, I DON'T MIND IF MY BALLOON
DOESN'T FLOAT.
I LIKE IT HANGING AROUND WITH
ME.
THOSE FLOATY BALLOONS ARE A BIT
TOO HARD TO KEEP HOLD OF.
BYE-BYE!
He waves.
