Messy runs into a domed shaped house. Inside, he joins a blue haired boy wearing a striped blue shirt and blue hat.
Messy shouts, FELIX!
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
A red haired girl wearing red overalls and a red hat waves to Messy.
Messy shouts, ZOE!
Zoe high-fives Messy.
The singers sing, IN OKIDO.
Messy cheers, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!

Zim, who has a square shaped body and computer face appears with Zam, a green triangle, and Zoom, a pink creature. Zam’s science experiment explodes, filling the room with smoke.

Zoom transforms into a screen that reveals the title, Messy Goes to OKIDO. Messy jumps beside the screen and smiles.
[Birds chirping]
A rubber duck rests on a stone. The episode title reads, Float or Sink. Written by Stuart Beale. Messy jumps onto the stone wearing a pirate hat.
He says, AHOY, ME HEARTIES!
TODAY I'M A PIRATE!
I'M THE CAPTAIN OF THE SCARIEST
SHIP ON ALL THE SEVEN SEAS.
The rubber duck falls onto a bucket of soapy water.
[Squeaking]
Messy looks at the rubber duck floating on the water.
He says, THE RUBBER DUCK!
OAKY, TODAY WE BE DIGGING FOR
BURIED TREASURE ON BOULDER
ISLAND.
A rock falls into the bucket of water. It sinks to the bottom.
[Splashing]
Messy looks thoughtfully at the water.
He says, HMM, THAT'S WEIRD.
BOULDER ISLAND'S JUST
DISAPPEARED.
I WONDER WHY BOULDER ISLAND'S
DISAPPEARED BUT THE FEARSOME
RUBBER DUCK IS STILL HERE!
HMM.
WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO TO
OKIDO!
[Magical music plays]
A green and white tunnel transports Messy to OKIDO. Messy bounces down a set of trampolines to the ground where he greets Zoe and Felix.
Felix and Zoe say, MESSY!
Messy says, AHOY THERE, ME MATIES!
[Felix chuckling]
Felix says, OH, MESSY!
WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT HAT?
Messy says, OH, THIS?
THIS IS BECAUSE TODAY, I'M BEING
A PIRATE.
ARRR!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY,
MATIES?
Felix says, WE'RE GOING TO SEE WHALES!
Zoe explains, ONCE A YEAR, ALL THE WHALES
IN OKIDO GET TOGETHER AND SING A
BEAUTIFUL SONG.
ZIM, ZAM, AND ZOOM HAVE A BOAT
FOR US.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME?
Messy says, OH, A CHANCE TO GO ABOARD A
PIRATE SHIP?
THAT WOULD BE BRILLIANT!
[Messy laughing]
[Messy whistling]
The white and blue convertible rolls out of a nearby garage. Messy, Zoe and Felix hop in.
Messy says, LET'S SKODOODLE, OKIDOODLE!
ARR!
He drives through the countryside. Above, the sun winks.
[Soft, nautical music plays]
In the ocean, the friends travel in Zim, Zam and Zoom’s boat. Zim looks through a spyglass in the boat’s crow’s nest. Zoom acts as the sail.
Zam asks, DO YOU LIKE THE SHIP'S WHEEL
WE GOT YOU, MESSY?
Messy says, OH YEAH, IT'S THE PERFECT
PRESENT FOR A PIRATE CAPTAIN
LIKE ME!
He steers the boat with what looks like a pirate ship’s wheel.
Zim says, ALL RIGHT, ZOOM, STOP!
Zoom transforms back to his normal ball-like self.
Zim says, THIS IS WHERE THE WHALES
SHOULD BE.
Zoe says, AH, HMM.
I DON'T SEE THEM.
A fish splashes through the water.
Zim says, HMM.
His screen briefly flickers.
He says, HUH, WE'RE HERE EARLY.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO BEFORE THE
WHALES COME?
Felix says, OH, I PACKED A PICNIC.
WE COULD HAVE IT NOW.
Messy says, OH, HOW NICE!
Zoe says, OH, YEAH!
Zam says, I AM A LITTLE PECKISH.
Zim says, SOUNDS GOOD, BUT WE'LL HAVE
TO FIND A PLACE TO HAVE IT.
He scans the water through his spyglass. He spots an island in the distance.
He says, AH-HAH!
HOW ABOUT THERE?
[Messy gasping]
Messy says, A DESERT ISLAND!
A PLACE WHERE A PIRATE MIGHT
FIND TREASURE!
He looks excited.
He says, OOH, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO
THERE, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO
THERE, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO THERE,
LET'S GO THERE!
Zam says, NOW, STEADY ON, CALM DOWN,
MESSY.
LET'S SEE WHAT EVERYONE ELSE
THINKS.
WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE DESERT
ISLAND?
Messy says, ISLAND!
Felix says, YEAH!
He chants with the others, ISLAND, ISLAND, ISLAND!
Zam says, OH, WELL, THAT'S IT, THEN.
LET'S GO!
Zoom transforms back into a mast. Messy blows against Zoom. The team cruises toward the island.
[Messy puffing]
[Cheerful music plays]
The boat slides onto the island’s beach. A crab scurries away from the boat.
[Felix sighing]
Messy, Felix and Zoe lead the others onto the beach.
Felix says, WHAT A NICE PLACE FOR A
PICNIC.
Messy says, YEAH, IT'S AN EVEN NICER
PLACE FOR A PIRATE TO FIND
BURIED TREASURE!
[Zam laughing]
Zam says, OKAY, YOU DO THAT, MESSY.
BUT ZOOM IS GOING WITH YOU.
WE DON'T WANT YOU GETTING INTO
TOO MUCH TROUBLE.
Messy says, SEE YOU LATERS, SAILORS!
COME ON, ZOOM, WE'RE GOING
TREASURE HUNTING!
ARR!
He leaves his pirate ship wheel on the beach and takes a sandwich out of Felix’s hands.
Felix says, OH, HEY!
Messy says, THANKS, FELIX!
TREASURE HUNTING IS HUNGRY WORK.
Zoom follows Messy into the island’s forest.
Felix says, OH, MESSY.
[Exciting music plays]
Messy runs down a trail in the forest.
He pauses and says, HMM, NOW WHERE MIGHT THE
TREASURE BE BURIED?
He looks around the forest where there is a bird and lizard.
Messy says, I KNOW, I'LL CHECK THE TREASURE
MAP.
He unrolls a hand drawn map.
He says, ARR, OF COURSE!
THE TREASURE MUST BE…
Messy walks down the trail. He suddenly looks down at the ground.
He says, …HERE!
X MARKS THE SPOT!
Zoom transforms into an X.
Messy says, COME ON, ZOOM.
He starts digging.
[Zoom beeping]
Dust billows. It settles and reveals a hole in the ground.
Messy says, RIGHT, LET'S SEE HOW MUCH BOOTY
WE FOUND.
He and Zoom look in the hole.
Messy groans, AWW.
He looks disappointed.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, OKAY.
He walks further down the trail.
He says, TREASURE MUST ACTUALLY BE…
[Zoom beeping]
Messy stops at another spot on the trail.
He says, …HERE!
Dust billows around Zoom, who looks like an X.
[Zoom beeping sadly]
Messy stands in a hole on the trail.
He says, AND BY "HERE," I ACTUALLY
MEANT...
Zoom follows Messy down the trail.
Messy says, ...HERE!
He points to the ground.
He says, UH, I MEAN...
Back on the beach, the rest of the team enjoys their picnic.
Zam says, WELL, WE SHOULD TRY AND SAVE
SOME FOR MESSY AND ZOOM.
Zim eats a sandwich.
He says, MMM, YES.
I'M SURE THEY WON'T BE DIGGING
FOR LONG.
In the forest, holes fill the trail. Dirt flies over the holes.
Messy says, I MEAN HERE!
[Messy groaning]
Messy says, BEHOLD!
THE LONG LOST TREASURE
OF…
He looks in another hole.
He groans, AWW!
Zoom looks bored.
Messy says, I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVEN'T FOUND
ANY TREASURE YET.
WHERE ELSE CAN WE DIG?
He looks further up the trail.
He says, OH!
Zoom follows Messy up the trail.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy runs up a hill beside a large boulder.
He says, HERE.
He points to the ground. Zoom looks unimpressed. He shakes his head.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, OF COURSE I'M SURE!
WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
He starts digging.
[Zoom beeping]
Zoom shakes his head. Dust billows around Messy as he digs. He backs up, and bumps into the boulder.
[Zoom buzzing worriedly]
The large boulder rolls backward.
Messy says, OH.
He and Zoom stare at the boulder rolling downhill.
Messy says, THAT COULD GO WRONG.
Zoom frowns.
Messy says, AHOY THERE, COME BACK, BOULDER!
He runs after the boulder. On the beach, the others enjoy their snacks. On the trail, Messy chases the boulder downhill. Zoom follows.
[Messy shouting]
He leaps over the boulder and runs down the trail ahead of it.
Messy yells, WHOA!
[Messy shouting]
Messy looks worried. He jumps off the trail, away from the boulder. On the beach, the others glance at the forest.
They say, HUH?
The boulder rolls toward the beach.
[Messy shouting]
The boulder rolls onto the beach toward the team’s picnic.
Zim says, OH!
The bolder rolls through the picnic.
Zim says, THERE GOES LUNCH.
The boulder hits the team’s boat. The boat starts to sink into the ocean. Messy runs onto the beach with Zoom behind him.
He says, ZOE, FELIX, ZIM, ZAM!
WHERE DID
THE –
[Water sloshing]
Messy says, UH-OH.
The rest of the boat sinks into the water.
[Gasping]
Felix says, OH, THE BOAT IS GONE!
WE'RE TRAPPED ON THE ISLAND.
Zoe says, DON'T WORRY, FELIX.
ZOOM?
[Zoom beeping]
Zoe says, YOU CAN TURN INTO A BOAT,
RIGHT?
[Zoom beeping excitedly]
[Nautical music plays]
Zoe says, I DON'T THINK THIS IS GOING
TO BE BIG ENOUGH FOR US.
She, Messy, Zim, Zam and Felix are squeezed into Zoom, as a bucket.
[Worried shouting]
The group flies out of Zoom. Zoom returns to normal. His eyes spin.
Zim says, IT'S ALL RIGHT, EVERYONE.
DON'T PANIC, DON'T PANIC!
Zim looks panicked.
He wails, FOR GOODNESS SAKE, DON'T PANIC!
AUGH!
Zam says, NOW, NOW, CALM DOWN, LOOK,
JUST DON'T WORRY.
ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS BUILD A
BRAND NEW BOAT.
FELIX, ZOE, MESSY, IF YOU THREE
FIND A GOOD BUILDING MATERIAL
FOR A NEW BOAT, WE CAN BUILD IT.
Messy says, HEY, MAYBE WE COULD USE THE
ROCK TO SAIL ON.
I MEAN, IT DESTROYED THE OLD
BOAT, MAYBE IT WOULD MAKE A GOOD
NEW ONE.
Zim scratches his head.
He says, says, HMM.
WELL, LET'S DO A TEST, EH,
MESSY?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT A ROCK
IN THE WATER?
ZOOM, COULD YOU MOVE THE ROCK
FOR US, PLEASE?
Zoom transforms into a hammer.
He hits the rock. The rock rolls into the water and sinks.
Felix says, UH, PROBABLY SHOULDN'T MAKE A
BOAT OUT OF A ROCK.
Zam says, QUITE.
ROCKS DON'T FLOAT.
Zoom transforms into a screen. He shows a video of Zim pushing a boulder into water where an octopus swims. The boulder sinks to the bottom. The octopus shakes a tentacle at Zim angrily.
Zam says, THEY SINK.
Zoe says, AND BOATS HAVE TO STAY NEAR
THE TOP OF THE WATER, DON'T
THEY?
Zim says, EXACTLY, ZOE.
Felix says, HEY, A FEATHER!
He picks up feather on the beach.
He asks, WOULD THAT FLOAT ON WATER?
Felix puts the feather on the water. It stays on the water.
Zoe says, YAY!
THE FEATHER'S NOT SINKING!
Zim says, THAT'S RIGHT, ZOE.
THE FEATHER IS STAYING AROUND
THE TOP OF THE WATER.
THAT MEANS IT'S FLOATING.
FLOATING IS THE OPPOSITE OF
SINKING.
Messy says, GREAT, SO YOU CAN MAKE THE
BOAT OUT OF FEATHERS AND THEN
OFF WE GO!
Zam says, HMM, WELL, NOT QUITE.
FEATHERS MAY FLOAT, BUT I DON'T
WE CAN BUILD A BOAT OUT OF THEM.
IF A LITTLE WEIGHT IS ADDED ON
TOP OF THE FEATHER, IT SINKS.
She drops a pebble onto the feather and they both sink.
Zam says, A BOAT MADE OUT OF FEATHERS
WOULD SINK IF WE GOT ONTO IT.
Zoom shows a video of a rock falling onto a boat of feathers in the octopus’s water. The rock sinks the feather boat. The octopus shakes a tentacle.
Felix says, RIGHT, SO WE NEED A BUILDING
MATERIAL THAT FLOATS AND THAT IS
STRONG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT US IN
WATER.
Messy says, LET'S LOOK AROUND THE ISLAND
AND FIND SOMETHING THAT WILL
WORK.
LET'S GO!
Felix and Zoe looks exited.
[Upbeat music plays]
Zoe grabs a plate from the picnic. She drops it in the water and it sinks. The team frowns. Zam shakes her head. In the forest, Zoe, Messy and Felix look around.
[Felix gasping]
Felix grabs a seashell off the ground. He drops it in the water and it sinks.
[Sad music plays]
Zam shakes her head. The team looks disappointed. Messy holds his ship’s wheel.
He says, OH, THIS IS MY FAULT FOR
PRETENDING TO BE A PIRATE.
Felix says, OH, MESSY, IT'S OKAY.
WE KNOW YOU DIDN'T MEAN IT.
Messy says, I DIDN'T, BUT...
OH, I'LL STOP BEING A PIRATE
NOW.
His wheel rolls down the beach and he takes off his hat.
[Splashing]
Felix says, MESSY, YOUR SHIP'S WHEEL!
LOOK!
He points to the water.
He says, IT'S FLOATING!
The wheel floats in the water.
Zim says, YOU'RE RIGHT, THE WHEEL DOES
FLOAT!
Zam picks up a rock.
[Zam grunting]
Zam says, AND...
The rock lands in the centre of the wheel.
Nam says, IT KEEPS FLOATING WHEN WEIGHT IS
ADDED ON TOP.
WHAT'S THIS WHEEL MADE OF?
Zim says, IT'S WOOD.
Zoom transforms into a screen.
Zam says, OF COURSE!
On the screen, Zoom shows a piece of wood.
Zam explains, WOOD COMES FROM TREES, AND THERE
ARE LOTS OF TREES ON THE ISLAND.
An animation shows trees popping up on the island.
Nam says, SO WE CAN USE THEM TO BUILD OUR
BOAT.
Zim says, EXACTLY!
FIRST, THOUGH, WE NEED TO DESIGN
IT.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE
BOAT-SHAPED TO FLOAT, BUT IT
WOULD BE GOOD TO MODEL IT ON
SOMETHING.
Zoom shows a blue print of a boat.
Zim asks, CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING THAT'S
SHAPED LIKE A BOAT?
Messy holds his pirate hat. Zam points to the hat.
She says, BOAT-SHAPED.
Zim says, OF COURSE!
Messy looks at his hat.
Zim says, IF WE DESIGN THE NEW BOAT LIKE
THAT, WE'LL BE OFF THIS ISLAND
IN NO TIME.
Messy says, WHOO-HOO, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
NOW ME PRETENDING TO BE A PIRATE
IS SAVING THE DAY!
He wears his hat.
[Cheerful music plays]
[Distant hammering]
Zoe measures a log.
[Power tool buzzing]
Zoe and Felix carry wood across the beach. Zoom, as a hammer, hammers a nail. Messy looks excited. Zam adds to the boat’s wall.
Messy says, ARR, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
He and the others admire their finished boat.
Zim says, NOW WE JUST HAVE TO HOPE IT
FLOATS.
LIFE JACKETS ON, AND ALL ABOARD!
Wearing their life jackets, the team pushes the boat to the water.
Messy says, LET'S SEE SOME WHALES!
The team travels into the ocean with Zoom as the boat’s mast.
[Team cheering]
Zim looks out on the water.
He says, OH DEAR, I'M SORRY EVERYONE.
I THINK WE MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
Felix says, SO, NO WHALES?
Zam says, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT, I'M
AFRAID.
Felix looks sad.
He says, BUT WE TRIED SO HARD TO GET
HERE.
[Baying]
Felix says, WHAT'S THAT?!
A whale rises from the water beside the boat.
Zim says, HERE THEY ARE, HERE ARE THEY
ARE!
The whale splashes back into the water.
Messy says, WOW!
[Baying]
Messy says, HELLO, WHALEY!
He waves to the whale.
[Splashing]
Water splashes over the boat.
[Messy laughing]
[Felix giggling]
The whale rises from the water on the other side of the boat.
Felix says, WOAH!
[Laughing]
[Cheering]
[Baying]
The whale rises from the water.
Felix says, AMAZING!
Zim says, OH MY WORD, LOOK AT
THAT!
Other whales rise from the water. They surround the boat.
[Whales singing]
The whales spray water from their blowholes. They duck back into the water with their tails above the surface.
Zoe says, BYE, WHALES!
Messy says, BYE, ME HEARTIES!
The whales slide back into the water.
Felix says, BYE, WHALES!
Zim says, THANKS FOR THE SHOW!
The friends wave to the whales.
Messy says, OKI-YO-HO-HO!
WHAT AN ADVENTURE.
BUT NOW IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO
HOME.
GOODBYE, LAND-LUBBERS!
Felix says, BYE, CAPTAIN MESSY!
Zoe says, BYE, ME HEARTY!
Messy returns to the bucket of soapy water with the floating rubber duck.
[Messy sighing]
Messy says, SO, NOW WE KNOW, SOME THINGS
FLOAT AND OTHER THINGS SINK.
He looks in the bucket at the rock in the bottom.
Messy says, ARR!
SEE YOU LATER, MATIES!
He waves.

In the ocean, the friends travel in Zim, Zam and Zoom’s boat. Zim looks through a spyglass in the boat’s crow’s nest. Zoom acts as the sail.
Zam asks, DO YOU LIKE THE SHIP'S WHEEL
WE GOT YOU, MESSY?
Messy says, OH YEAH, IT'S THE PERFECT
PRESENT FOR A PIRATE CAPTAIN
LIKE ME!
He steers the boat with what looks like a pirate ship’s wheel.
Zim says, ALL RIGHT, ZOOM, STOP!
Zoom transforms back to his normal ball-like self.
Zim says, THIS IS WHERE THE WHALES
SHOULD BE.
Zoe says, AH, HMM.
I DON'T SEE THEM.
A fish splashes through the water.
Zim says, HMM.
His screen briefly flickers.
He says, HUH, WE'RE HERE EARLY.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO BEFORE THE
WHALES COME?
Felix says, OH, I PACKED A PICNIC.
WE COULD HAVE IT NOW.
Messy says, OH, HOW NICE!
Zoe says, OH, YEAH!
Zam says, I AM A LITTLE PECKISH.
Zim says, SOUNDS GOOD, BUT WE'LL HAVE
TO FIND A PLACE TO HAVE IT.
He scans the water through his spyglass. He spots an island in the distance.
He says, AH-HAH!
HOW ABOUT THERE?
[Messy gasping]
Messy says, A DESERT ISLAND!
A PLACE WHERE A PIRATE MIGHT
FIND TREASURE!
He looks excited.
He says, OOH, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO
THERE, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO
THERE, LET'S GO THERE, LET'S GO THERE,
LET'S GO THERE!
Zam says, NOW, STEADY ON, CALM DOWN,
MESSY.
LET'S SEE WHAT EVERYONE ELSE
THINKS.
WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE DESERT
ISLAND?
Messy says, ISLAND!
Felix says, YEAH!
He chants with the others, ISLAND, ISLAND, ISLAND!
Zam says, OH, WELL, THAT'S IT, THEN.
LET'S GO!
Zoom transforms back into a mast. Messy blows against Zoom. The team cruises toward the island.
[Messy puffing]
[Cheerful music plays]
The boat slides onto the island’s beach. A crab scurries away from the boat.
[Felix sighing]
Messy, Felix and Zoe lead the others onto the beach.
Felix says, WHAT A NICE PLACE FOR A
PICNIC.
Messy says, YEAH, IT'S AN EVEN NICER
PLACE FOR A PIRATE TO FIND
BURIED TREASURE!
[Zam laughing]
Zam says, OKAY, YOU DO THAT, MESSY.
BUT ZOOM IS GOING WITH YOU.
WE DON'T WANT YOU GETTING INTO
TOO MUCH TROUBLE.
Messy says, SEE YOU LATERS, SAILORS!
COME ON, ZOOM, WE'RE GOING
TREASURE HUNTING!
ARR!
He leaves his pirate ship wheel on the beach and takes a sandwich out of Felix’s hands.
Felix says, OH, HEY!
Messy says, THANKS, FELIX!
TREASURE HUNTING IS HUNGRY WORK.
Zoom follows Messy into the island’s forest.
Felix says, OH, MESSY.
[Exciting music plays]
Messy runs down a trail in the forest.
He pauses and says, HMM, NOW WHERE MIGHT THE
TREASURE BE BURIED?
He looks around the forest where there is a bird and lizard.
Messy says, I KNOW, I'LL CHECK THE TREASURE
MAP.
He unrolls a hand drawn map.
He says, ARR, OF COURSE!
THE TREASURE MUST BE…
Messy walks down the trail. He suddenly looks down at the ground.
He says, …HERE!
X MARKS THE SPOT!
Zoom transforms into an X.
Messy says, COME ON, ZOOM.
He starts digging.
[Zoom beeping]
Dust billows. It settles and reveals a hole in the ground.
Messy says, RIGHT, LET'S SEE HOW MUCH BOOTY
WE FOUND.
He and Zoom look in the hole.
Messy groans, AWW.
He looks disappointed.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, OKAY.
He walks further down the trail.
He says, TREASURE MUST ACTUALLY BE…
[Zoom beeping]
Messy stops at another spot on the trail.
He says, …HERE!
Dust billows around Zoom, who looks like an X.
[Zoom beeping sadly]
Messy stands in a hole on the trail.
He says, AND BY "HERE," I ACTUALLY
MEANT...
Zoom follows Messy down the trail.
Messy says, ...HERE!
He points to the ground.
He says, UH, I MEAN...
Back on the beach, the rest of the team enjoys their picnic.
Zam says, WELL, WE SHOULD TRY AND SAVE
SOME FOR MESSY AND ZOOM.
Zim eats a sandwich.
He says, MMM, YES.
I'M SURE THEY WON'T BE DIGGING
FOR LONG.
In the forest, holes fill the trail. Dirt flies over the holes.
Messy says, I MEAN HERE!
[Messy groaning]
Messy says, BEHOLD!
THE LONG LOST TREASURE
OF…
He looks in another hole.
He groans, AWW!
Zoom looks bored.
Messy says, I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVEN'T FOUND
ANY TREASURE YET.
WHERE ELSE CAN WE DIG?
He looks further up the trail.
He says, OH!
Zoom follows Messy up the trail.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy runs up a hill beside a large boulder.
He says, HERE.
He points to the ground. Zoom looks unimpressed. He shakes his head.
[Zoom buzzing]
Messy says, OF COURSE I'M SURE!
WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
He starts digging.
[Zoom beeping]
Zoom shakes his head. Dust billows around Messy as he digs. He backs up, and bumps into the boulder.
[Zoom buzzing worriedly]
The large boulder rolls backward.
Messy says, OH.
He and Zoom stare at the boulder rolling downhill.
Messy says, THAT COULD GO WRONG.
Zoom frowns.
Messy says, AHOY THERE, COME BACK, BOULDER!
He runs after the boulder. On the beach, the others enjoy their snacks. On the trail, Messy chases the boulder downhill. Zoom follows.
[Messy shouting]
He leaps over the boulder and runs down the trail ahead of it.
Messy yells, WHOA!
[Messy shouting]
Messy looks worried. He jumps off the trail, away from the boulder. On the beach, the others glance at the forest.
They say, HUH?
The boulder rolls toward the beach.
[Messy shouting]
The boulder rolls onto the beach toward the team’s picnic.
Zim says, OH!
The bolder rolls through the picnic.
Zim says, THERE GOES LUNCH.
The boulder hits the team’s boat. The boat starts to sink into the ocean. Messy runs onto the beach with Zoom behind him.
He says, ZOE, FELIX, ZIM, ZAM!
WHERE DID
THE –
[Water sloshing]
Messy says, UH-OH.
The rest of the boat sinks into the water.
[Gasping]
Felix says, OH, THE BOAT IS GONE!
WE'RE TRAPPED ON THE ISLAND.
Zoe says, DON'T WORRY, FELIX.
ZOOM?
[Zoom beeping]
Zoe says, YOU CAN TURN INTO A BOAT,
RIGHT?
[Zoom beeping excitedly]
[Nautical music plays]
Zoe says, I DON'T THINK THIS IS GOING
TO BE BIG ENOUGH FOR US.
She, Messy, Zim, Zam and Felix are squeezed into Zoom, as a bucket.
[Worried shouting]
The group flies out of Zoom. Zoom returns to normal. His eyes spin.
Zim says, IT'S ALL RIGHT, EVERYONE.
DON'T PANIC, DON'T PANIC!
Zim looks panicked.
He wails, FOR GOODNESS SAKE, DON'T PANIC!
AUGH!
Zam says, NOW, NOW, CALM DOWN, LOOK,
JUST DON'T WORRY.
ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS BUILD A
BRAND NEW BOAT.
FELIX, ZOE, MESSY, IF YOU THREE
FIND A GOOD BUILDING MATERIAL
FOR A NEW BOAT, WE CAN BUILD IT.
Messy says, HEY, MAYBE WE COULD USE THE
ROCK TO SAIL ON.
I MEAN, IT DESTROYED THE OLD
BOAT, MAYBE IT WOULD MAKE A GOOD
NEW ONE.
Zim scratches his head.
He says, says, HMM.
WELL, LET'S DO A TEST, EH,
MESSY?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT A ROCK
IN THE WATER?
ZOOM, COULD YOU MOVE THE ROCK
FOR US, PLEASE?
Zoom transforms into a hammer.
He hits the rock. The rock rolls into the water and sinks.
Felix says, UH, PROBABLY SHOULDN'T MAKE A
BOAT OUT OF A ROCK.
Zam says, QUITE.
ROCKS DON'T FLOAT.
Zoom transforms into a screen. He shows a video of Zim pushing a boulder into water where an octopus swims. The boulder sinks to the bottom. The octopus shakes a tentacle at Zim angrily.
Zam says, THEY SINK.
Zoe says, AND BOATS HAVE TO STAY NEAR
THE TOP OF THE WATER, DON'T
THEY?
Zim says, EXACTLY, ZOE.
Felix says, HEY, A FEATHER!
He picks up feather on the beach.
He asks, WOULD THAT FLOAT ON WATER?
Felix puts the feather on the water. It stays on the water.
Zoe says, YAY!
THE FEATHER'S NOT SINKING!
Zim says, THAT'S RIGHT, ZOE.
THE FEATHER IS STAYING AROUND
THE TOP OF THE WATER.
THAT MEANS IT'S FLOATING.
FLOATING IS THE OPPOSITE OF
SINKING.
Messy says, GREAT, SO YOU CAN MAKE THE
BOAT OUT OF FEATHERS AND THEN
OFF WE GO!
Zam says, HMM, WELL, NOT QUITE.
FEATHERS MAY FLOAT, BUT I DON'T
WE CAN BUILD A BOAT OUT OF THEM.
IF A LITTLE WEIGHT IS ADDED ON
TOP OF THE FEATHER, IT SINKS.
She drops a pebble onto the feather and they both sink.
Zam says, A BOAT MADE OUT OF FEATHERS
WOULD SINK IF WE GOT ONTO IT.
Zoom shows a video of a rock falling onto a boat of feathers in the octopus’s water. The rock sinks the feather boat. The octopus shakes a tentacle.
Felix says, RIGHT, SO WE NEED A BUILDING
MATERIAL THAT FLOATS AND THAT IS
STRONG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT US IN
WATER.
Messy says, LET'S LOOK AROUND THE ISLAND
AND FIND SOMETHING THAT WILL
WORK.
LET'S GO!
Felix and Zoe looks exited.
[Upbeat music plays]
Zoe grabs a plate from the picnic. She drops it in the water and it sinks. The team frowns. Zam shakes her head. In the forest, Zoe, Messy and Felix look around.
[Felix gasping]
Felix grabs a seashell off the ground. He drops it in the water and it sinks.
[Sad music plays]
Zam shakes her head. The team looks disappointed. Messy holds his ship’s wheel.
He says, OH, THIS IS MY FAULT FOR
PRETENDING TO BE A PIRATE.
Felix says, OH, MESSY, IT'S OKAY.
WE KNOW YOU DIDN'T MEAN IT.
Messy says, I DIDN'T, BUT...
OH, I'LL STOP BEING A PIRATE
NOW.
His wheel rolls down the beach and he takes off his hat.
[Splashing]
Felix says, MESSY, YOUR SHIP'S WHEEL!
LOOK!
He points to the water.
He says, IT'S FLOATING!
The wheel floats in the water.
Zim says, YOU'RE RIGHT, THE WHEEL DOES
FLOAT!
Zam picks up a rock.
[Zam grunting]
Zam says, AND...
The rock lands in the centre of the wheel.
Nam says, IT KEEPS FLOATING WHEN WEIGHT IS
ADDED ON TOP.
WHAT'S THIS WHEEL MADE OF?
Zim says, IT'S WOOD.
Zoom transforms into a screen.
Zam says, OF COURSE!
On the screen, Zoom shows a piece of wood.
Zam explains, WOOD COMES FROM TREES, AND THERE
ARE LOTS OF TREES ON THE ISLAND.
An animation shows trees popping up on the island.
Nam says, SO WE CAN USE THEM TO BUILD OUR
BOAT.
Zim says, EXACTLY!
FIRST, THOUGH, WE NEED TO DESIGN
IT.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE
BOAT-SHAPED TO FLOAT, BUT IT
WOULD BE GOOD TO MODEL IT ON
SOMETHING.
Zoom shows a blue print of a boat.
Zim asks, CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING THAT'S
SHAPED LIKE A BOAT?
Messy holds his pirate hat. Zam points to the hat.
She says, BOAT-SHAPED.
Zim says, OF COURSE!
Messy looks at his hat.
Zim says, IF WE DESIGN THE NEW BOAT LIKE
THAT, WE'LL BE OFF THIS ISLAND
IN NO TIME.
Messy says, WHOO-HOO, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
NOW ME PRETENDING TO BE A PIRATE
IS SAVING THE DAY!
He wears his hat.
[Cheerful music plays]
[Distant hammering]
Zoe measures a log.
[Power tool buzzing]
Zoe and Felix carry wood across the beach. Zoom, as a hammer, hammers a nail. Messy looks excited. Zam adds to the boat’s wall.
Messy says, ARR, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
He and the others admire their finished boat.
Zim says, NOW WE JUST HAVE TO HOPE IT
FLOATS.
LIFE JACKETS ON, AND ALL ABOARD!
Wearing their life jackets, the team pushes the boat to the water.
Messy says, LET'S SEE SOME WHALES!
The team travels into the ocean with Zoom as the boat’s mast.
[Team cheering]
Zim looks out on the water.
He says, OH DEAR, I'M SORRY EVERYONE.
I THINK WE MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
Felix says, SO, NO WHALES?
Zam says, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT, I'M
AFRAID.
Felix looks sad.
He says, BUT WE TRIED SO HARD TO GET
HERE.
[Baying]
Felix says, WHAT'S THAT?!
A whale rises from the water beside the boat.
Zim says, HERE THEY ARE, HERE ARE THEY
ARE!
The whale splashes back into the water.
Messy says, WOW!
[Baying]
Messy says, HELLO, WHALEY!
He waves to the whale.
[Splashing]
Water splashes over the boat.
[Messy laughing]
[Felix giggling]
The whale rises from the water on the other side of the boat.
Felix says, WOAH!
[Laughing]
[Cheering]
[Baying]
The whale rises from the water.
Felix says, AMAZING!
Zim says, OH MY WORD, LOOK AT
THAT!
Other whales rise from the water. They surround the boat.
[Whales singing]
The whales spray water from their blowholes. They duck back into the water with their tails above the surface.
Zoe says, BYE, WHALES!
Messy says, BYE, ME HEARTIES!
The whales slide back into the water.
Felix says, BYE, WHALES!
Zim says, THANKS FOR THE SHOW!
The friends wave to the whales.
Messy says, OKI-YO-HO-HO!
WHAT AN ADVENTURE.
BUT NOW IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO
HOME.
GOODBYE, LAND-LUBBERS!
Felix says, BYE, CAPTAIN MESSY!
Zoe says, BYE, ME HEARTY!
Messy returns to the bucket of soapy water with the floating rubber duck.
[Messy sighing]
Messy says, SO, NOW WE KNOW, SOME THINGS
FLOAT AND OTHER THINGS SINK.
He looks in the bucket at the rock in the bottom.
Messy says, ARR!
SEE YOU LATER, MATIES!
He waves.

Messy sings, BA-LA-BA-LA-BOOM-BOOM!
