[Messy whistles, whirring, whooshing]

Messy, a blue monster, jumps into a car and pushes a green button.

[Upbeat music plays]

Messy shouts, LET'S SKIDOODLE, OKIDOODLE!

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy sings, FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW.

Voices sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO

Messy sings, OKIDO, OKIDO.

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy sings, ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW.

Messy pilots a submarine past fish.

[Bubbling]

Voices sing, COME ALONG AND SAY HELLO
LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS.

Messy shouts, FELIX!

Felix wears a blue toque over his short, dark blue hair.

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy and Zoe, a red-haired girl who wears a red hat, high five.

[Hands slap, upbeat music continues]

Messy shouts, ZOE.

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy shouts, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!

Zim is a yellow square with a smaller white square in the middle. Zam is a smiling teal triangle. Zoom is a smiling red peanut-shaped monster.

[Whoosh, beeping]

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy sings, BA-BA-LA-LA BOOM-BOOM!

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO

Messy and the voices sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.
FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Text reads, “Messy Goes to Okido.”

Blue text over green grass reads, “Messy-morphosis.” “Written by Stuart Beale.”

[Birds chirp]

Messy searches in the grass.

Messy asks, WHERE ARE YOU?
COME ON.

HERE, CATER-CATER-CATERPILLARS.

WHERE ARE YOU HIDING?
COME ON. ARE YOU THERE?

OH. HELLO, EVERYONE.

I'M LOOKING FOR SOME CATERPILLAR
FRIENDS OF MINE.

I CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE.

THEY USED TO BE IN THIS BUSH
WHERE THE BUTTERFLIES ARE,
BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE
THERE ANYMORE.

[Whoosh, birds sing]

Messy says, I WONDER WHAT
HAPPENED TO THEM. HMM.

WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO
TO OKIDO.

Messy leaps into a green and white striped tunnel.

[Whoosh, dramatic music plays]

Messy falls towards a town. He bounces on large buttons and a trampoline. Messy lands on a pathway in front of Zoe, Zim, Zoom and Felix.

[Boings]

Zim says, MESSY'S HERE.

Zoe shouts, MESSY!

Felix says, MESSY.

Messy says, HELLO.
WHERE ARE YOU ALL OFF TO?

[Gentle notes play]

Felix says, ZIM IS TAKING US ON
A NATURE WALK.

Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!
A NATURE WALK.

UH, WHAT'S A NATURE WALK?

[Slide whistle, whooshing]

Zim explains, IT'S WHEN WE GO FOR A WALK
AND SPOT AS MANY DIFFERENT
TYPES OF FLOWERS AND PLANTS AND
ANIMALS AND INSECTS AS WE CAN.

[Beeping]

Messy cheers, YIPPEE!
LET'S OKI-GO.

Bees and butterflies fly over a flower-filled meadow.

[Gentle music plays, beeping, flapping]

Zim says, OH, NO.
THAT'S THERE.
IT'S HARD TO WALK.

COME AND SEE THIS.
THERE'S A WORM. AND SEE?
IT'S POKING ITS HEAD.
OH, NO. IT'S NOT.
I'VE FRIGHTENED IT NOW.

OH, DEAR.

[Whirring, beeping]

Felix stops walking and Messy bumps into him.

[Thud]

Messy says, OOF. HEY.
WHY ARE WE STOPPING?

[Felix gasps]

Felix says, LOOK.

Zoe points and says, WHAT'S THAT?

A large, colourful stands glumly on the path.

[Beeping]

Zim says, IT'S A CATERPILLAR.

Felix says, A REALLY BIG CATERPILLAR.

[Birds chirp]

Messy says, HOO-HOO-HOO!
A CATERPILLAR.

JUST LIKE MY FRIENDS BACK HOME,
ONLY A LOT BIGGER.

IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU.

ESPECIALLY AFTER I COULDN'T FIND
MY OTHER CATERPILLAR FRIENDS.

[Chirping, gentle music notes play]

Zoe says, OH.
WHAT'S WRONG?

Felix asks, DID THAT HAPPEN TO YOU, TOO?
HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FRIENDS?

[Beeping, chirping, sad music plays]

Zoe says, DON'T WORRY. WE'LL HELP
YOU TO LOOK FOR YOUR FRIENDS.
WHERE DID YOU LAST SEE THEM?

[Slide whistle, sad chirping]

Felix says, THEY COULD BE ANYWHERE.
WELL, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

[Beeping, birds chirping]

Zim says, I KNOW. LET'S CALL ZAM.

WE COULD SEARCH FROM THE
CLOUD SHIP.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zoe says, YES.
THAT'LL BE MUCH EASIER.

Zoe activates a red device on her wrist. Zam appears on the screen of the device.

[Click, whirring]

Zam says, HELLO?

Zoe says, ZAM, IT'S US.

WE'VE MET A CATERPILLAR WHO'S
LOST HER FRIENDS.

CAN YOU HELP US TO FIND THEM?

Zam says, OH, OF COURSE, ZOE.
STAY WHERE YOU ARE.
I'M ON MY WAY.

Zoe says, SEE YOU SOON.

[Beeping]

Zoe turns to the caterpillar.

[Birds chirp, upbeat music notes play]

Zoe says, WE'LL SOON FIND
YOUR FRIENDS WHEN ZAM GETS HERE.

[Catepillar’s stomach rumbles, laughing]

Felix says, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE HUNGRY.

Messy asks, WHAT DO CATERPILLARS EAT?

[Whirring]

Zim says, CATERPILLARS EAT LEAVES.
COME ON, ZOOM.

WE'LL GO AND GET SOME.

[Beeping, upbeat music notes play]

Messy says, MMM.
NOW I'M HUNGRY, TOO.

Zoe says, ME, TOO.

[Upbeat music plays]

Felix says, OH, I BROUGHT A
PACKED LUNCH.

IT'S IN HERE SOMEWHERE.

UM, UH--OH.

[Rustling]

Messy says, OOH, A SOCK!
THANKS, FELIX.

Messy eats the sock. The caterpillar notices a small tree and inches towards it.

[Slide whistle, munching, skidding]

Zim says, HERE WE ARE.
WHERE'S THE CATERPILLAR GONE?

[Squeak]

Zoe says, SHE WAS JUST OVER THERE.

Messy says, OH, NO, SHE'S GONE.

Zoe says, LET'S LOOK FOR HER.

[Beeping, upbeat music plays, Zoom squeaks]

Zoom flies past trees with round holes in the leaves.

[Slide whistle, rustling, cymbals clash, beeping]

Messy picks up a leaf with a large bite mark on the side.

Messy says, HMM.
SHE REALLY WAS VERY HUNGRY.

[Squeaking]

Zim says, HMM.
I HAVE A THEORY.

THAT CATERPILLAR WAS VERY
HUNGRY.

I THINK WE SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR
A VERY BIG COCOON.

[Beeping]

Messy says, OKIDO!
A COCOON.

[Whooshing, slide whistle]

Messy asks, UH, WHAT IS A COCOON?

[Whirring, beeping, birds chirp]

Zim says, ZOOM, YOUR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE.

Zoom stretches and forms a screen.

[Beeping, whirring, upbeat music plays]

Zim explains, A COCOON IS SOMETHING
A CATERPILLAR LIVES IN FOR A WHILE.

THE CATERPILLAR MAKES ITS OWN
COCOON, BUT IT NEEDS TO EAT
LOTS OF FOOD FIRST.

A caterpillar eats leaves. It falls into a yellow cocoon and zips it shut.
[Munching, slide whistle]

Zim says, A COCOON LOOKS LIKE
A BIT LIKE A ZIPPED-UP SLEEPING BAG.

[Zipping]

Messy says, OKAY, THEN.
I'LL FIND IT.

Messy searches for the cocoon.

[Exciting music plays]

Messy asks, IS IT OVER THERE? NO.

[Slide whistle]

Messy asks, THERE? NO.

IS IT OVER THERE? NO.

[Squeaking]

Messy asks, OVER THERE?

IS IT OVER THERE? NO.

IS IT THERE? NO.

[Beeping]

Felix says, MESSY, YOU'RE
STANDING ON THE COCOON.

Messy shouts, I'VE FOUND IT!

[Slide whistle, beeping]

Zim says, WELL DONE, MESSY.

THE CATERPILLAR IS ASLEEP
INSIDE THE COCOON.

Messy asks, SHOULD WE WAKE HER UP?

[Beeping, birds chirp]

Zim says, OH, NO, MESSY.
SHE'LL WAKE UP WHEN SHE'S READY.
THEN YOU'LL SEE WHAT A GROWN-UP
CATERPILLAR LOOKS LIKE.

[Gasp]

Messy says, OH, WOW.
I BET SHE'S GOING TO BE REALLY,
REALLY, REALLY, REALLY BIG.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR HER TO COME OUT.

The cocoon rolls]

[Slide whistle, thumping, rustling]

Zim says, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU
WON'T HAVE TO WAIT LONG.
I THINK SHE'S ABOUT TO COME
OUT OF THE COCOON.

Felix says, OH, NO.
WE CAN'T LET THE COCOON
ROLL DOWN THE HILL.

[Tense music plays]

Zoe says, COME ON. ARH!
WE HAVE TO STOP IT.

Messy says, I KNOW.

Messy jumps on top of the rolling cocoon and runs.

[Exciting music plays, slide whistle, thud]

Messy says, WHOA! OOH.

[Shouting]

Felix shouts, WATCH OUT, MESSY!

Messy says, OH, NO. ARGH!
OH, DEAR. ARGH.
WATCH OUT. WHOA!

The cocoon rolls through a bush. It rolls to a stop.

[Thunk, rustling]

Messy says, HA. PHEW!

Zoe says, WELL DONE, MESSY.

[Giggling]

Messy says, THAT WAS EASY FOR
A MESSY MONSTER LIKE ME.

[Thunk, birds chirp]

Felix says, LOOK.
THERE'S A HOLE IN THE COCOON.
ARE YOU OKAY, CATERPILLAR?

Messy says, IT'S EMPTY.
SHE MUST HAVE COME OUT.

Zoe says, SHE MUST HAVE LEFT THE
COCOON WHEN YOU WERE IN THE BUSH.
LET'S LOOK THERE.

Felix says, HMM.
I DON'T SEE A REALLY, REALLY BIG
CATERPILLAR HERE.

Zoe asks, WELL, WHERE IS SHE?

A colourful butterfly lands on the cocoon behind Messy.

Messy says, I CAN'T SEE HER ANYWHERE.

[Chirping, gasps]

Messy shouts, WHOA!

Felix says, OH. HELLO THERE, BUTTERFLY.
EXCUSE ME, BUT HAVE YOU SEEN
A GROWN-UP CATERPILLAR ANYWHERE?

The butterfly nods.

[Gentle music plays]

Messy says, GREAT. CAN YOU SHOW
US WHERE SHE IS, PLEASE?

The butterfly nods and points at itself.

Felix says, YOU?
SO, YOU'RE THE CATERPILLAR WE
MET EARLIER!

Zoe says, AND YOU CAME OUT OF THE
COCOON LOOKING LIKE THAT?

[Rustling]

Messy says, WOW. THAT'S CONFUSING.

[Gentle music plays]

Zim says, AHA.
I SEE THE CATERPILLAR'S
METAMORPHOSIS IS COMPLETE.

[Whirring, upbeat music notes play]

Messy says, YES.
UH, WHAT IS THAT?

Zim explains, IT'S WHAT HAPPENS
TO SOME ANIMALS.

Zoom transforms into a screen. A baby monkey, panda and giraffe appear on the screen.

[Beeping]

Zim says, LOTS OF YOUNG ANIMALS
JUST LOOK BIGGER WHEN THEY
GROW UP.

[Slide whistle, whoosh, upbeat music plays]

Zim says, SOME ANIMALS, THOUGH,
LIKE CATERPILLARS, LOOK VERY
DIFFERENT WHEN THEY GROW UP.

Messy says, SO, CATERPILLARS GO
INTO A COCOON.

THEN, THEY GO THROUGH META--
WHAT'S IT CALLED AGAIN?

[Beeping]

Zim says, METAMORPHOSIS.

Messy repeats, METAMORPHOSIS.
AND COME OUT OF THE COCOON
AS A BUTTERFLY.

The butterfly nods.

[Upbeat notes play]

Felix asks, DO OTHER ANIMALS
GO THROUGH METAMORPHOSIS?

[Beeping, whirring]

Zim says, YES.

ZOOM, CAN YOU SHOW US ANOTHER
EXAMPLE OF METAMORPHOSIS?

Zoom transforms into a screen. A small tadpole swims in a lake on his screen.

[Whirring, happy music plays]

Zim asks, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS?

Zoe says, OH, OH. I KNOW.
IT'S A TADPOLE.

[Beeping, whirring]

Zim says, THAT'S RIGHT, ZOE.

THE TADPOLE IS A YOUNG VERSION
OF AN ANIMAL THAT GOES
THROUGH METAMORPHOSIS.

[Splashing, boing]

Messy says, OH, WOW.
TADPOLES TURN INTO FROGS.

[Rustling, whoosh]

Zim says, THEY DO.

[Beeping]

Zam says, HELLO?
ARE YOU THERE?
I CAN'T SEE YOU.

Zoe says, WE'RE UNDER THE TREES.

Zam says, I CAN'T LAND IN THE TREES.
DON'T WORRY. I'LL LOOK FOR
SOMEWHERE CLOSE BY.

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

Felix asks, WHAT IS IT, BUTTERFLY?

Zoe says, I THINKS SHE WANTS
US TO GET ONTO HER BACK.

[Exciting music plays]

Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!
COME ON, EVERYONE.

Zim frowns.

Zim says, OH. OH, DEAR.

The butterfly carries Zim, Messy, Zoe and Felix on its back. Zoom flies beside them.

[Flapping, squeaking, happy music plays]

Messy cheers, WOO-HOO-HOO! WHEE.

Zoe cheers, WOO-HOO!

Felix shouts, WHOA!

[Screaming, laughing]

Zoe says, THERE'S THE CLOUD SHIP.

[Whirring]

Zam says, OH!
I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT.
COME ON IN.

A panel slides open and the butterfly lands in the cloud ship.

[Whirring, happy music continues]

Messy cheers, WOO-HOO-HOO!

[Cheering]

Zim says, OOH.
WHERE AM I?

[Whirring]

Zam says, WELCOME ABOARD.
MY, WHAT AN ENTRANCE.

[Creaking]

Messy says, THAT WAS AMAZING.
THANKS, BUTTERFLY.

[Whirring]

Zoe says, THANKS, BUTTERFLY.

OH, NO. THE SUN IS SETTING.
WE STILL HAVE TO FIND THE
BUTTERFLY'S FRIENDS.

HOW WILL WE DO THAT WHEN
IT'S DARK?

Zim says, FIRST, LET'S GET SOME LIGHT
IN HERE.

[Chirping]

Felix asks, WHAT'S THE BUTTERFLY DOING?

Zam says, HMM.
MAYBE YOUR FRIEND ISN'T A
BUTTERFLY AFTER ALL.
MAYBE SHE'S A MOTH.

[Beeping]

Messy says, A MOTH?

Zim says, BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS
ARE VERY ALIKE.

BOTH ARE CATERPILLARS WHEN
THEY'RE YOUNGER, AND BOTH MAKE
COCOONS. AND BOTH COME OUT OF
THEIR COCOONS WITH WINGS.

[Beeing]

Zam says, BUT MOTHS TEND TO BE
ATTRACTED TO LIGHT. HMM.

SO, IF WE TURN ON THE LIGHTS ON
THE OUTSIDE OF THE CLOUD SHIP,
THEN THE MOTHS WILL BE DRAWN
TO THE LIGHT.

Moths fly towards the light.

[Whirring, chirping, gentle music plays]

Zam says, AHA. IT LOOKS LIKE
WE'VE FOUND HER FRIENDS.

The moth flies out of the cloud ship and joins its friends.

Messy says, SEE YOU, MOTHS.

Zim says, BYE-BYE.
TAKE CARE, NOW.

A voice says, SEE YOU.

[Flapping]

Messy says, I'M GLAD WE GOT
HER BACK TO HER FRIENDS.

NOW, I'M GOING TO SEE IF I CAN
FIND MY CATERPILLAR FRIENDS.

GOODBYE, EVERYONE.

Voices say, SEE YOU, MESSY.

[Whirring]

Messy returns to the green grass. Butterflies fly above the blades.

[Whirring, rustling, chirping]

Messy says, SO, YOU WERE MY CATERPILLAR
FRIENDS, BUT YOU'RE MY BUTTERFLY
FRIENDS NOW.

LET'S PLAY BUTTERFLIES.
SEE YOU SOON.

BYE-BYE.

Messy shouts, BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!

[Upbeat music plays]

End credits play.
