[Messy whistles, whirring, whooshing]

Messy, a blue monster, jumps into a car and pushes a green button.

[Upbeat music plays]

Messy shouts, LET'S SKIDOODLE, OKIDOODLE!

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy sings, FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW.

Voices sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO

Messy sings, OKIDO, OKIDO.

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy sings, ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW.

Messy pilots a submarine past fish.

[Bubbling]

Voices sing, COME ALONG AND SAY HELLO
LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS.

Messy shouts, FELIX!

Felix wears a blue toque over his short, dark blue hair.

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy and Zoe, a red-haired girl who wears a red hat, high five.

[Hands slap, upbeat music continues]

Messy shouts, ZOE.

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy shouts, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!

Zim is a yellow square with a smaller white square in the middle. Zam is a smiling teal triangle. Zoom is a smiling red peanut-shaped monster.

[Whoosh, beeping]

Voices sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy sings, BA-BA-LA-LA BOOM-BOOM!

Voices sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO

Messy and the voices sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.
FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Text reads, “Messy Goes to Okido.”

Blue text reads, “Thirsty Robot.” “Written by Melanie Halsall.”

Messy strains and tries to move a blue cart.

[Grunting, creaking]

Messy asks, WHY WON'T IT MOVE?

[Grunting, straining]

Messy says, THE WHEELS AREN'T MOVING.
HMM. WHY AREN'T THE WHEELS MOVING?
WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO TO OKIDO.

Messy leaps into a green and white striped tunnel.

[Whoosh, dramatic music plays]

Messy falls towards a town. He bounces on large buttons and a trampoline.

[Boings, door clicks]

Messy says, ZOE, FELIX?

Zoe says, HI, MESSY.

Felix says, HEY, MESSY.
WE'RE GOING TO THE CAFÉ TO CHECK
OUT THE NEW SMOOTHIE ROBOT.

[Birds chirp]

Zoe says, IT MAKES SMOOTHIES IN
SUPER QUICK TIME.

Felix asks, OH, DO YOU WANT TO COME?

Messy says, OH, YES, PLEASE.

[Messy whistles, horn honks, upbeat music plays, whirring]

A car pulls up and stops by Messy, Felix and Zoe.

Messy says, LET'S SKIDOODLE, OKIDOODLE!

Messy opens the café door.

[Creaking, upbeat music plays]

Messy says, THREE OF YOUR BIGGEST,
MOST LARGEST, MASSIVE-EST
SMOOTHIES, PLEASE.

A café owner says, THREE
ENORMO-SMOOTHIES COMING UP.

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO
SMILFORD, THE SMOOTHIE ROBOT.
HE MAKES AMAZINGLY LARGE
SMOOTHIES IN SUPER FAST TIME.

The café owner flips a switch.

[Whirring]

The café owner says, HMM. THAT'S ODD.

[Grunting, creaking]

Smilford says, ALERT. MALFUNCTION,
MALFUNCTION. MALFUNCTION.

[Creaking, clattering]

The café owner says, OH!
OH, NO. SMILFORD IS BROKEN.

HOW AM I GOING TO SERVE
MY CUSTOMERS?

Zoe says, DON'T WORRY.

Felix says, WE'LL HELP.

Messy, Zoe and Felix mix ingredients.

[Rock music plays, clattering, sloshing, slurping]

A yellow and white monster says, YUM! THANKS.

A green monster orders, A BLUEBERRY
AND HADDOCK SMOOTHIE, PLEASE.

Felix says, OKAY. COMING UP.

Zoe cheers, YEAH.

[Felix laughs]

A long queue stretches on a path and down a hill outside the café.

Monsters in the crowd say, HEY, I WANT MY SMOOTHIE.
WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?
I WANT A SMOOTHIE. SMOOTHIE!

[Shouting]

A voice asks, GOT ANY HOT DOGS?

Zoe says, WE'RE NEVER GOING
TO MAKE ENOUGH SMOOTHIES
FOR ALL THESE CUSTOMERS.

Felix adds, ESPECIALLY IF MESSY KEEPS
DRINKING THEM.

[Slurping]

Messy says, I ONLY HAD ONE.
ONE TEENY-WEENY, TINY SMOOTHIE.
IT'S DELICIOUS!

The café owner says, IT'S OKAY, MESSY.
YOU ALL DESERVE A FREE SMOOTHIE
FOR TRYING TO HELP.

Zim says, HELLO, YOU THREE.

Zam says, WE HEARD THAT THE SMOOTHIE
ROBOT HAD BROKEN DOWN.

Zim says, ALL OF OKIDO CITY IS TALKING
ABOUT IT.

[Background clinking, slurping]

Felix says, WE TRIED TO HELP, BUT WE
CAN'T MAKE SMOOTHIES AS FAST
AS SMILFORD.

Zim says, THAT'S BECAUSE ROBOTS
ARE DIFFERENT FROM PEOPLE.
OR MONSTERS.

[Beeping, whirring]

Messy asks, HOW ARE ROBOTS DIFFERENT?

[Background chatter]

Felix asks, AND WHY DOES THAT MEAN
WE CAN'T GO AS FAST AS THEY CAN?

Zoom turns transforms into a large screen.

[Whirring, beeping]

Zim says, ZOOM, YOUR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE.

[Upbeat music plays]

Zim says, THIS IS WHAT A PERSON LOOKS
LIKE ON THE INSIDE.

Felix and Zoe say, WOW.

Felix exclaims, LOOK AT THAT.

Messy asks, WHAT ABOUT MONSTERS? COOL!

[Whirring, beeping]

Zim says, AND THIS IS INSIDE A ROBOT.
ROBOTS ARE MACHINES.

MACHINES HAVE MOVING PARTS AND
ARE USUALLY MADE OF METAL.

THEY'RE VERY STRONG AND CAN MOVE
MORE QUICKLY AND KEEP GOING FOR
LONGER THAN PEOPLE OR MONSTERS.

Zam says, BUT MACHINES NEED LOOKING
AFTER TO WORK PROPERLY.

[Beeping]

Zim says, LIGHT-BULB MOMENT!
LET'S TURN SMILFORD ON AND OFF
AGAIN AND CHECK THE BATTERIES.

Zam flips the switch.

[Clicking]

Zam says, YES. OH. MM-HMM.

[Grunting, squeaking, tense music plays]

Zam says, IT'S NOT THE BATTERIES.
THERE'S SOMETHING VERY WRONG
WITH SMILFORD, BUT NONE OF MY
TOOLS CAN OPEN HIM UP TO SEE
WHAT IT IS.

The café owner asks, WHAT AM
I GOING TO DO?
IT'LL TAKE TOO LONG TO MAKE
ALL THOSE SMOOTHIES MYSELF.

[Slurping, beeping]

Zim says, WE NEED TO FIND OUT HOW TO
MEND SMILFORD SO THAT EVERYONE
CAN GET THEIR SMOOTHIES QUICKLY.

Zam says, OKAY.
YOU THREE GO TO ROBOTOPOLIS AND
FIND THE MAKER MECHANIC.
SHE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP.

WE'LL STAY HERE AND HELP MAKE
THE SMOOTHIES.

Zoe says, COME ON. LET'S GO.

[Footsteps pitter-patter, upbeat music plays]

Messy drives the car. Zoe and Felix sit behind him. They all wear seatbelts.

Felix asks, DOES ANYONE SPEAK ROBOT?

Messy says, OH, I CAN SPEAK ROBOT.

[Whirring]

Messy imitates robotic monotone, LET'S
SKIDOODLE, OKIDOODLE.

THIS IS IT.

[Whirring, footsteps, doorbell buzzes]

A tiny robot says, HELLO.

Felix and Zoe say,

Felix and Zoe say, HUH?

Messy says, OH, HE'S TINY.

Felix says, UH, HELLO. WE HAVE
A BROKEN SMOOTHIE ROBOT.

The tiny robot says, SORRY.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

Messy says, I KNOW.

Messy imitates robotic monotone, OUR
SMOOTHIE ROBOT IS BROKEN.

The tiny robot says, OH.
WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO?

[Whirring, rock music plays]

Messy says, BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!
I TOLD YOU I COULD SPEAK ROBOT.

Messy imitates robotic monotone, THANK YOU.

[Laughing]

The tiny robot says, WELCOME.

[Cheerful music plays]

Felix and Zoe say, WOW.

A four-armed robot behind a counter says,
WELCOME TO ROBOTOPOLIS.
I AM THE INFOBOT.
HOW MAY I HELP YOU?

Felix imitates robotic monotone, WE'RE
LOOKING FOR THE MAKER MECHANIC.

The Infobot says, YOU NEED TO GO ON
THE UP MACHINE, THEN TAKE THE GRAB
MACHINE, THEN CATCH THE TRACK
MACHINE, AND THEN GET THE
DOWN MACHINE.

Zoe imitates robotic monotone, WOW.
THAT'S A LOT OF MACHINES.
COULDN'T WE JUST WALK?

Infobot says, HA-HA-HA. NO.
WALKING WILL TAKE TOO LONG.
MACHINES ARE MUCH QUICKER
THAN PEOPLE. AND MONSTERS.

Messy imitates robotic monotone, LET'S OKI-GO.

Zoe and Felix imitate robotic monotone, THANK YOU.

[They laugh]

[Rock music plays, gears and pulleys whirr, clattering]

Zoe, Felix and Messy run into an elevator. An orange robot and a yellow robot stand inside.

[Ding]

The orange robot says, TIME FOR SOME OIL.

The yellow robot says, I HEAR
THE COGS HERE ARE DELICIOUS.

The elevator voice announces,
ROBOT RESTAURANT.

[Sliding, upbeat music plays]

Zoe says, THIS ISN'T OUR STOP.

Messy runs into the restaurant.

Messy says, DID SOMEONE SAY
"RESTAURANT"? YUM!
THEY MIGHT HAVE SOCKS.

Felix sighs, OH, MESSY.

A robot waiter asks, WHAT CAN I GET YOU?
NUTS, OIL CHANGE?

[Felix laughs]

Felix imitates robotic monotone, NO, THANK YOU.
WE DON'T DRINK THAT STUFF.

Messy imitates robotic monotone,
HAVE YOU GOT ANY SOCKS?

The robot waiter says, JUST OIL
AND BOLTS AND NUTS.

Felix says, AND YOU CAN'T
HAVE THOSE, MESSY.

Messy says, OH.

Zoe imitates robotic monotone, WE ARE
LOOKING FOR THE MAKER MECHANIC.
WE NEED HER TO HELP TO FIX OUR
SMOOTHIE ROBOT.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND HER?

The robot waiter replies, OF COURSE.
SHE IS JUST THROUGH THERE.

Messy says, BRILLIANT.

Zoe says, THANK YOU.

The robot waiter says, TAKE THIS.
YOU MIGHT NEED IT.

Felix says, OH, THANKS.

Felix picks up an oilcan.

[Clink, door slides open, footsteps]

Zoe says, HELLO?

A monster says, OH, HELLO. WELCOME.

Zoe asks, ARE YOU THE MAKER MECHANIC?

The Maker Mechanic, the monster, says, AT YOUR SERVICE.

Messy says, YOU'RE NOT A ROBOT.

[Soft music plays]

The Maker Mechanic says, NO, I'M NOT.
BUT I LOOK AFTER ALL THE MACHINES
AND ROBOTS IN ROBOTOPOLIS.

Felix says, OUR SMOOTHIE ROBOT IS BROKEN.

Zoe asks, CAN YOU HELP US?

Maker Mechanic says, YES, OF COURSE.

JUST GIVE-- OH, NO. UH--OH!

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT.

The Maker Mechanic throws tools out of a toolbox. She throws a sock and Messy catches it in his mouth and swallows it.

[Clatter, grunt]

Messy says, MMM.

Maker Mechanic says, OH, HERE YOU ARE.

Felix asks, WHAT IS IT?

Maker Mechanic says, IT'S A
ROBOT-O-WRENCH, A SPECIAL
MACHINE FOR FIXING ROBOTS.

Felix says, COOL.

Zoe exclaims, OH, WOW.

Felix says, THANKS.

Maker Mechanic says, GOOD LUCK.

[Yawning]

Maker Mechanic says, RIGHT.
I'M GOING TO POWER DOWN
FOR HALFAN HOUR NOW.

Back at the café, monsters drink smoothies.

[Slurping, scraping, giggling]

Zam says, OH.
WELL, THANK GOODNESS.
SMOOTHIE-MAKING IS HARD WORK.
DID THE MAKER MECHANIC HELP?

[Beeping]

Felix says, SHE GAVE US THIS.

Zam says, FASCINATING.

I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THOSE
BEFORE. ZIM?

[Beeping]

Zim says, AH, WONDERFUL.
WHAT IS IT?

Felix explains, IT'S A ROBOT-O-WRENCH.
IT'S A SPECIAL MACHINE FOR
FIXING ROBOTS.

Zam says, OKAY, THEN.
LET'S FIX THIS ROBOT.

ZOE, ROBOT-O-WRENCH, PLEASE.

[Clinking, whirring, upbeat music plays]

Zam attaches the Robot-o-Wrench to Smilford.

Zam asks, FELIX, CAN WE GET SOME
LIGHT HERE?

[Clank, squishing, tense music plays]

Pink liquid drips off gears.

Felix says, CHECK. IT LOOKS LIKE
HE'S BEEN DRINKING SMOOTHIE.

Zoe asks, WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?

[Messy chuckles]

Messy replies, BECAUSE HE WAS THIRSTY.

Zam says, OKAY.
LET'S DRY HIM OUT.

Zoom turns into a fan and blows the smoothie off of the gears.

[Squeaking, whirring]

Messy says, SMILFORD SOUNDS
JUST LIKE THE WHEELS ON MY CART.
THEY MADE THAT NOISE, TOO.

Zam says,THAT'S WHAT METAL CAN SOUND
LIKE WHEN IT'S DRY AND CAN'T
MOVE PROPERLY.

THIS IS CALLED RUST.
AND IT'S CAUSED BY AIR OR
MOISTURE GETTING TO THE METAL.

[Clicking, squeaking]

Messy says, OH. MAYBE SMILFORD
SHOULD HAVE SOME WATER.

THAT'S GOOD WHEN YOU'RE
FEELING THIRSTY.

[Beeping]

Zim says, YOU'RE RIGHT, MESSY.
WHEN PEOPLE OR MONSTERS ARE
THIRSTY, THEY SHOULD DRINK
WATER. BUT WATER ISN'T GOOD
FOR MACHINES.

IT CAN MAKE THEM MORE RUSTY.

[Zoe gasps, upbeat music plays]

Zoe says, THE ROBOTS IN THE
RESTAURANT WERE DRINKING OIL.

Felix says, HEY, THAT REMINDS ME.
THE WAITER GAVE ME THIS.

Felix holds up the oilcan.

[Beeping, splashing]

Zim says, THAT'S IT!
WHEN MACHINES ARE DRY AND
THIRSTY, THEY NEED OIL.

[Grinding gears, Smilford sighs, whirring, upbeat music plays]

Smilford says, THANK YOU.
I NEEDED THAT.

Messy says, THE OIL WORKED.

[Cheering, whirring]

The café owner says, I'M SORRY FOR
NOT LOOKING AFTER YOU PROPERLY,
SMILFORD. FROM NOW ON, YOU WILL
GET OIL WHENEVER YOU NEED IT.

Zoe says, YOU SHOULD TRY SOME
OIL ON YOUR CART, MESSY.

Messy says, BRILLIANT IDEA.

SEE YOU LATER, EVERYONE.
I'VE GOT A CART TO MEND.

Felix and Zoe say, BYE, MESSY.

Messy jumps into the cart. A red oilcan is on the floor beside it. The cart rolls.

[Clunk, rattle]

Messy shouts, YIPPEE!

THE WHEELS AREN'T DRY ANYMORE.
THE OIL FIXED THEM.

WHEE! OKIDO!
BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!

[Upbeat music plays]

End credits play.
