[Rock music plays]
In an animation, in the Lookout, Ryder smiles as he pushes a button.
[Song] Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we'll be there on the double. Whenever there's a problem 'round Adventure Bay, Ryder and his team of pups will come and save the day.
DESCRIPTION: The Paw Patrol, Carlos, and Tracker emerge from a cave, and a crack with bubbling lava opens in the ground directly in front of them. They drive their vehicles to the edge of a cliff where three monkeys wait.
[Song] Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye, yeah, they're on the way. Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, whenever you're in trouble, Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we'll be there on the double. No job's too big, no pup's too small, Paw Patrol, we're on a roll. So here we go, Paw Patrol, whoa-oh-oh.
DESCRIPTION: Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye slide down the Lookout slide to their vehicles. Ryder leads the pups as they drive their vehicles away from the Lookout. On top of a rocky outcropping, Alex dodges a swooping pterodactyl and throws a pale blue egg to Marshall. Cat Marshallches the egg and bounces down his fire truck ladder. At the bottom, a baby pterodactyl hatches and hugs him. Chase shoots a net beneath Alex and catches him. Ryder gives the Paw Patrol dog treats.

[Dog barks]
DESCRIPTION: On the title card, Chase watches Mayor Humdinger carry a Mayor Humdinger piñata.

DESCRIPTION: By the Lookout, Ryder walks towards the field and blows his whistle.
RYDER: Hey, pups. It's party time.
[Pups cheer]
RUBBLE: Party, party, party! Wait. Who's having a party?
[Soft music plays, birds sing]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder shows the pups a purple invitation with a drawing of Mayor Humdinger standing on a top hat.
RYDER: Today's Mayor Humdinger's birthday. His kitties invited us to a picnic to celebrate.
[Skye gasps]
SKYE: But we don't have a present for him.
MARSHALL: Oh, I know something he'll like. A trophy.
PUPS: Yes!
CHASE: Great idea.
ROCKY: I'm on it.
[Footsteps rustle, whirr, pieces clatter, drills whirr, hammer bangs, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rocky runs away from the group and returns with a grey toaster, spring, gears, and a large cup on a base. He uses his mechanical arms to build a trophy. The other pups watch with their tails wagging.
ROCKY: Tighten this. Screw that into here. Add this. And, done!
[Boing, triumphant music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rocky pulls on the cup on top of the spring, and it bounces. The spring is taped to the top of the toaster, and gears are attached to the side of the cup.
[Soft music plays]
SKYE: A big trophy. He'll love it.
RUBBLE: We should fill it with something yummy, like liver chews!
[Everyone laughs]
RYDER: The mayor might like cookies better.
[Everyone laughs]
[Whoosh, light music plays, basket rustles, bowl scrapes, cups tap]
DESCRIPTION: On the grass, Cat Chase and Cat Zuma push a picnic basket onto a checkered blanket. Cat Marshall uses their tail to move a bowl. Cat Rocky carries cups with their mechanical arm. Nearby, Mayor Humdinger stands beneath a tree with a covering tied around his eyes.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Can I look? Can I? Come on! I want my party now!
[Whoosh, head squeaks, cat treats rustle, Cat Marshall meows, treats clatter, head squeaks, Cat Marshall meows, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Rubble and Cat Skye push the Mayor Humdinger piñata, the Hum-ñata, beneath the tree close to Mayor Humdinger. Cat Rubble opens the top of the Hum-ñata by moving the head, and Cat Skye pours cat treats into it. Cat Marshall runs to the Hum-ñata and rubs against the legs. They look at the treats and fall inside as Cat Rubble watches Cat Skye fly away. Rubble Kitty closes the lid, and Cat Marshall peers through one of the eyes on the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, hurry up. This blindfold's itchy!
[The mayor scratches, covering rustles, Cat Chase meows]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Chase removes the covering.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: About time. I don't want to spend my whole birthday wearing some itchy bl—
[Gasps, awed music plays, grass rustles, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger notices the Hum-ñata and skips to it.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, my! He's so handsome and so pleasantly purple.
[Sniffs, birds sing, nose squeaks, hug rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger boops the nose of the Hum-ñata, closes his eyes, and hugs it.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Hm! Smells like there's kitty treats inside. Well, no matter, because nobody's going to take a swing at you, Hum-ñata.
[Slide whistle, kitties meow, mechanical arm whirrs, thump, Cat Skye whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger opens an eye and looks at the kitties. Cat Rocky swings a bat, and Cat Skye flies overhead and grabs it. They fly around the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Oh, no, you don't!
[Grass rustles, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger picks up the Hum-ñata and takes off running.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Did those mean kitties try to hurt my precious?
[Cat Marshall meows, whoosh, rustle, bounces boing]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger trips on a rock and rolls down a hill.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! Ah! It's okay, Hum-ñata! I got you!
[Grunts, munches, exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Inside the Hum-ñata, Cat Marshall eats the kitty treats. Mayor Humdinger rolls towards a river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, water plus paper equals disaster! Oh, this isn't so great either! Oh, wah!
[Slide whistle, grunt, water splashes, whoosh, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger rolls up a rock and flies off the other side, landing in the water. The mayor floats on a log, holding his Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! At least we're safe on this lo—
[Dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ahead, rocks, lily pads, and logs are strewn across the river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, no! What do I do? Hum-ñata, what do I do?
[Gasps]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I know. I'll call the Paw Patrol.
[Whoosh, engine rumbles, pups bark, laugh, upbeat music plays, tires screech, ramp whirrs, clanks]
DESCRIPTION: In town, the Paw Patroller stops by Mr. Porter’s Café, and the ramp lowers. Ryder and the pups run out.
RYDER: We've got to make a stop before the party, pups. The kitties asked us to pick up the cake.
[Doors squeak, wheels rattle, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter pushes a cart with a large purple top-hat-shaped cake. A pink candle on the top has a moustache attached to it.
MR. PORTER: I've got the mayor's cake right here, Ryder, though I can't imagine why he'd want tuna-flavoured icing.
[Finger squeaks, pup-pad rings, whooshes, beeps]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter scratches his head. Ryder answers his pup-pad, and Mayor Humdinger and the Hum-ñata appear on the screen.
RYDER: Hi, Mayor. Happy birthday!
[Tense music plays]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Birthday shmurf-day! I'm in danger! I'm in a river heading straight for the—Ah! See for yourself!
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger points his device camera at the rocks in the river.
RYDER: Those look like some seriously sharp rocks, but don't worry, Mayor. No log is too fast. No pup is too small.
[Pup-pad whirrs, pup tags beep, upbeat music plays]
RYDER: Paw Patrol to the Paw Patroller.
PUPS: Ryder needs us!
[Pups bark]
DESCRIPTION: Marshall trips on a rock and bounces over the cake as Mr. Porter lifts it off the cart.
MARSHALL: Whoa! Oh, no!
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter catches the cake.
MR. PORTER: Phew!
ZUMA: Marshall!
RUBBLE: Watch out!
[Slide whistle]
MARSHALL: Whoa!
[Clatter, slide whistle, light music plays, Marshall slurps]
DESCRIPTION: Marshall bounces into the back of the Paw Patroller and knocks over the other pups. He sits up and licks purple icing off his nose.
MARSHALL: Tuna-flavoured icing? Yum.
[Pups laugh, badge whirrs, door closes, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The back door closes, and the pups run through the Paw Patroller. They pause behind the badge on the side, change into their Paw Patrol uniforms and then continue to their seats. The swivel seats turn, and the pups face the driver’s seat.
CHASE: Paw Patrol, ready for action, Ryder, sir!
RYDER: Thanks for hurrying, pups.
[Pup-pad beeps, whoosh, water splashes, energetic music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder pushes a button on his pup-pad. On a large screen, Mayor Humdinger floats on the log, holding his Hum-ñata.
RYDER: Mayor Humdinger and his birthday piñata got stuck on a log floating down a river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah!
ZUMA: Dude, that's a birthday bummer.
[Water splashes, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: On the large screen, Mayor Humdinger floats on the log towards the rocks.
RYDER: Yeah, we have to get the mayor off the log before he hits those rocks. So, for this mission, I'll need Skye.
[Beep, whirr, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Skye’s helicopter appears on the large screen.
RYDER: You'll use your copter and harness to lift Mayor Humdinger off the log.
SKYE: This puppy's got to fly.
RYDER: And Zuma.
[Beep, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Zuma’s hovercraft appears on the large screen.
RYDER: I'll need you to use your hovercraft to keep the log from crashing into the rocks.
ZUMA: Let's dive in!
RYDER: All right, Paw Patrol is on a roll!
[Screen whirrs, whoosh, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The large screen retracts, and Skye and Chase run into the vehicle area.
[Song] Paw Patrol. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
DESCRIPTION: Skye’s helicopter lowers from the ceiling, with the rotor lowered and packed inside the body of the vehicle.
[Song] Go, go, go, go. Skye.
[Skye giggles, panel rumbles, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma’s hovercraft lowers from the ceiling.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go. Zuma.
[Zuma barks, ramps whirr, rumble, siren wails]
DESCRIPTION: The side and back of the Paw Patroller open. Zuma drives down a ramp, and Skye takes off from a raised platform.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go.
[Zuma and Skye bark, howl, whirrs, engine rumbles, A.T.V. thumps]
DESCRIPTION: The side and back of the Paw Patroller close. The front opens, and Ryder drives his A.T.V., landing on the road.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go, go.
[Mayor Humdinger shouts, water splashes, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: On the river, Mayor Humdinger and his Hum-ñata float towards the rocks.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Don't look, Hum-ñata! It's too horrible!
[Cat Marshall meows, treats clatter, exciting music plays, rotor blades thump]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall looks through the eye and then dives into the treats. Ryder, Skye, and Zuma arrive on the shore.
RYDER: Zuma, block that log.
ZUMA: You got it, dude!
[Engine whirrs, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma drives his hovercraft onto the river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Finally, the Paw Patrol shows up!
[Boing, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma turns his hovercraft, the log bounces off the side, and Mayor Humdinger flies up into the air, clutching the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
RYDER: Skye, catch the mayor!
SKYE: Copy that.
[Rotor blades whirr, Skye barks]
SKYE: Harness!
[Harness clicks, Mayor Humdinger screams]
DESCRIPTION: A cable with a harness drops from the bottom of the helicopter and grabs Mayor Humdinger.
SKYE: Got you.
[The music stops, rotor blades thump]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! I hope you don't get airsick, Hum-ñata.
[Cat Marshall meows]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Huh? What was that? Did my kitties come to save me?
[Whoosh, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger drops the Hum-ñata and spreads his arms.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitties, I'm right here! Oh, no! Hum-ñata, I hope you can swim!
[Slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma watches the falling Hum-ñata.
ZUMA: That's not good!
[Engine rumbles, bark, bang, energetic music plays]
ZUMA: Buoy!
[Water splashes, boing, slide whistle, thump, A.T.V. engine rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma launches a life ring buoy, and the Hum-ñata bounces on it, landing standing on the shore. Treats fall onto the grass.
RYDER: Nice catch, Zuma.
[Bushes rustle, wolf grunts, sniffs, whoosh, engines stop, wolf munches, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A grey wolf leaps out of a bush and eats the treats on the grass. Ryder and Zuma stop their vehicles nearby.
RYDER: Whoa.
[Wolf grunts, Hum-ñata thumps, wolf barks, wolf growls, Cat Marshall meows, grass rustles, treats clatter, slide whistle, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata tips over. The wolf grabs it by a foot and drags it towards the forest. Skye lowers Mayor Humdinger to the shore.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ryder, how could you let that horrible wolf take my sweet, innocent Hum-ñata?
RYDER: Sorry, Mayor, but it's better not to mess with wolves.
[Water splashes, light music notes play]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Well, you have to get him back. Please! It's my birthday!
RYDER: All right, Mayor. We'll see what we can do. Come on, pups.
[Pop, engines rumble, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger puts on a top-hat-shaped helmet and climbs onto the A.T.V. behind Ryder. They drive towards the trees, following a trail of treats.
RYDER: This trail of treats should lead us to the wolf.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, I'm so worried about Hum-ñata. He's all I can think about. This has been the worst birthday ever.
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger notices a package on a rock.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Wait! Stop this vehicle.
[Tires skid, whoosh, package crinkles]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder stops his A.T.V. Mayor Humdinger hops off and picks up an open package of beef jerky.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ooh, is that beef jerky?
[Slide whistle, slurping, rotor blades thump, footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger eats the jerky. Nearby, Skye hovers over the wolf as it drags the Hum-ñata. The wolf runs towards a cave.
SKYE: Ryder, I found the wolf. Looks like he's headed for his den, not far from where you are now.
RYDER: Thanks, Skye. Come on. Let's go.
[Upbeat music plays, engines whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder, the mayor, and Zuma arrive as the wolf drags the Hum-ñata towards the cave entrance.
ZUMA: Dude, check it out!
[Grass rustles, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The wolf drags it into the cave.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Hey! You leave Hum-ñata alone!
[Footsteps rustle, fist slaps, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger gets off the A.T.V. and walks towards the wolf, pointing his finger at them, and then pounds his fist against his palm.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: You'll be one sorry wolf if you so much as crumple his top hat!
RYDER: Mayor, don't! It's not safe to run up to a wild animal like that.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: So, I'm just supposed to leave Hum-ñata to that beast? Oh, my poor little paper pal!
[The mayor sobs, wolf gobbles, whines, growls, thump, slide whistle, whoosh, thumps, the mayor gasps]
DESCRIPTION: In the cave, the wolf looks inside the top hat. They straighten and wear the top hat over their head. The wolf runs around the cave and knocks the Hum-ñata onto the grass outside.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh!
[Footsteps rustle, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger runs towards the Hum-ñata.
RYDER: Mayor, don't! The wolf!
[The mayor pants, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor picks up the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Did that nasty wolf hurt my cute little—
[Cat Marshall meows]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Huh? Where'd that meow come from?
[Wolf grumbles, zooms, Mayor Humdinger shouts, hat thumps, exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The wolf walks to the entrance of the cave, and Mayor Humdinger runs, carrying his Hum-ñata. The wolf chases the mayor past Ryder and Zuma, and the hat falls off the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah!
RYDER: Zuma?
[Zuma barks, engines whirr, cranks]
ZUMA: Buoys!
[Buoys clatter, wolf grunts, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma launches life ring buoys, and they land between the mayor and the wolf. The wolf stops and plays with a buoy.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Gah!
[Engines rumble]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder and Zuma drive behind the mayor as he flees.
RYDER: Mayor, slow down!
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Whoa!
[Whoosh, thud, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger trips and tumbles down a hill. The Hum-ñata flies out of his arms.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! Oh-ho-ho! Oh!
[Thud, thump]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata lands in two pieces nearby. Mayor Humdinger kneels, spreads his arms, and looks up at the sky.
MAYOR HUMDINGER, ECHOING: No! Hum-ñata!
(Meow, thumps, grass rustles]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata head moves on the grass.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: It's... it's... it's alive!
RYDER: This is too strange.
(Meow, click, thunk]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder peers at the head through binoculars. Cat Marshall stands and their four legs poke out beneath the head.
RYDER: Oh! It's just one of Mayor Humdinger's kitties inside the piñata head.
[Meow, the mayor gasps, dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Still in the head, Cat Marshall walks towards the edge of a cliff.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitty?
RYDER: Hold on.
[Beep, whirr, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Chase appears on the screen.
RYDER: Chase, be ready with your net at the bottom of the cliff, just in case.
CHASE: Chase is on the case.
[Pup-pad beeps, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger walks to the Hum-ñata body and picks it up.
RYDER: Skye, try to keep that kitty out of harm's way!
SKYE: Sure thing, Ryder.
[Meow, rotor blades thump]
DESCRIPTION: Skye flies towards the edge of the cliff. On the cliff, the mayor runs across the grass towards the kitty wearing the head.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Come back! You complete me! And him!
[Meow, slide whistle, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall peers through the eye and sees Mayor Humdinger running towards them. They back up and fall over the edge of the cliff.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Oh, no!
[Meow]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I lost my head! And my kitty!
[Meow, siren wails, Chase barks, exciting music plays]
CHASE: Net!
[Whirr, pew, whoosh, meow, thud]
DESCRIPTION: Chase launches a net below the kitty and the head. The kitty lands, bounces off the net, and lands on their feet beside it, still wearing the Hum-ñata head.
CHASE: Whew! You okay, kitty?
[Cat Marshall meows, thumps, footsteps rustle, slide whistle, treat whooshes, thumps, gentle music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The kitty tips the head and walks out, carrying a treat. Cat Marshall drops the treat and pushes it to Chase.
CHASE: Aw. No need to thank me. I'm just happy you're okay.
[Chase sniffs]
CHASE: Ooh, but I do like the flavour.
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger arrives, carrying the rest of the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitty, I'm so glad you're okay, and so's your new big brother, Hum-ñata.
[Cat Marshall meows, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall walks away.
[Whoosh, pups laugh, footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays, cake squelches, plate scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Mr. Porter and Ms. Marjorie raise their cups on the picnic blanket. Maynard, Zuma, Rubble, Rocky, and Skye stand on the blanket beside them. Marshall chases Chase past a picnic table where Ryder and Mayor Humdinger stand. The mayor holds a knife and stands beside his cake. The trophy lies on the grass beside him. Mayor Humdinger cuts a piece of cake and puts it on a plate. He cuts a smaller piece for Ryder.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I'm the birthday boy, so I get the biggest piece. Here you go, Ryder, and thanks for saving me, my kitty, and Hum-ñata.
RYDER: No problem, Mayor Humdinger. Whenever your piñata's in peril, just yelp for help.
[The mayor sniffs, ding, horn blares, fork clatters]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor sniffs the piece of cake and drops his fork.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Tuna?
DESCRIPTION: On the grass, Rocky and Chase wag their tails.
ROCKY: Looks good as new. Well, sort of.
[Hops boing, thump, rustle, kitties meow]
DESCRIPTION: Ms. Marjorie wears a pink covering over her eyes and hits the Hum-ñata with a baseball bat. The Hum-ñata falls and the head rolls off, scattering kitty treats on the grass.
CHASE: Aw! But piñatas are made to be broken.
[Head thumps]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor picks up the Hum-ñata head.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, Hum-ñata, you win the prize for best birthday present ever.
[Energetic music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye slide down the Lookout slide to their vehicles. Ryder leads the pups as they drive their vehicles away from the Lookout. On top of a rocky outcropping, Alex dodges a swooping pterodactyl and throws a pale blue egg to Marshall. Cat Marshallches the egg and bounces down his fire truck ladder. At the bottom, a baby pterodactyl hatches and hugs him. Chase shoots a net beneath Alex and catches him. Ryder gives the Paw Patrol dog treats.

[Soft music plays, birds sing]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder shows the pups a purple invitation with a drawing of Mayor Humdinger standing on a top hat.
RYDER: Today's Mayor Humdinger's birthday. His kitties invited us to a picnic to celebrate.
[Skye gasps]
SKYE: But we don't have a present for him.
MARSHALL: Oh, I know something he'll like. A trophy.
PUPS: Yes!
CHASE: Great idea.
ROCKY: I'm on it.
[Footsteps rustle, whirr, pieces clatter, drills whirr, hammer bangs, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rocky runs away from the group and returns with a grey toaster, spring, gears, and a large cup on a base. He uses his mechanical arms to build a trophy. The other pups watch with their tails wagging.
ROCKY: Tighten this. Screw that into here. Add this. And, done!
[Boing, triumphant music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Rocky pulls on the cup on top of the spring, and it bounces. The spring is taped to the top of the toaster, and gears are attached to the side of the cup.
[Soft music plays]
SKYE: A big trophy. He'll love it.
RUBBLE: We should fill it with something yummy, like liver chews!
[Everyone laughs]
RYDER: The mayor might like cookies better.
[Everyone laughs]
[Whoosh, light music plays, basket rustles, bowl scrapes, cups tap]
DESCRIPTION: On the grass, Cat Chase and Cat Zuma push a picnic basket onto a checkered blanket. Cat Marshall uses their tail to move a bowl. Cat Rocky carries cups with their mechanical arm. Nearby, Mayor Humdinger stands beneath a tree with a covering tied around his eyes.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Can I look? Can I? Come on! I want my party now!
[Whoosh, head squeaks, cat treats rustle, Cat Marshall meows, treats clatter, head squeaks, Cat Marshall meows, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Rubble and Cat Skye push the Mayor Humdinger piñata, the Hum-ñata, beneath the tree close to Mayor Humdinger. Cat Rubble opens the top of the Hum-ñata by moving the head, and Cat Skye pours cat treats into it. Cat Marshall runs to the Hum-ñata and rubs against the legs. They look at the treats and fall inside as Cat Rubble watches Cat Skye fly away. Rubble Kitty closes the lid, and Cat Marshall peers through one of the eyes on the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, hurry up. This blindfold's itchy!
[The mayor scratches, covering rustles, Cat Chase meows]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Chase removes the covering.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: About time. I don't want to spend my whole birthday wearing some itchy bl—
[Gasps, awed music plays, grass rustles, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger notices the Hum-ñata and skips to it.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, my! He's so handsome and so pleasantly purple.
[Sniffs, birds sing, nose squeaks, hug rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger boops the nose of the Hum-ñata, closes his eyes, and hugs it.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Hm! Smells like there's kitty treats inside. Well, no matter, because nobody's going to take a swing at you, Hum-ñata.
[Slide whistle, kitties meow, mechanical arm whirrs, thump, Cat Skye whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger opens an eye and looks at the kitties. Cat Rocky swings a bat, and Cat Skye flies overhead and grabs it. They fly around the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Oh, no, you don't!
[Grass rustles, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger picks up the Hum-ñata and takes off running.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Did those mean kitties try to hurt my precious?
[Cat Marshall meows, whoosh, rustle, bounces boing]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger trips on a rock and rolls down a hill.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! Ah! It's okay, Hum-ñata! I got you!
[Grunts, munches, exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Inside the Hum-ñata, Cat Marshall eats the kitty treats. Mayor Humdinger rolls towards a river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, water plus paper equals disaster! Oh, this isn't so great either! Oh, wah!
[Slide whistle, grunt, water splashes, whoosh, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger rolls up a rock and flies off the other side, landing in the water. The mayor floats on a log, holding his Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! At least we're safe on this lo—
[Dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ahead, rocks, lily pads, and logs are strewn across the river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, no! What do I do? Hum-ñata, what do I do?
[Gasps]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I know. I'll call the Paw Patrol.
[Whoosh, engine rumbles, pups bark, laugh, upbeat music plays, tires screech, ramp whirrs, clanks]
DESCRIPTION: In town, the Paw Patroller stops by Mr. Porter’s Café, and the ramp lowers. Ryder and the pups run out.
RYDER: We've got to make a stop before the party, pups. The kitties asked us to pick up the cake.
[Doors squeak, wheels rattle, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter pushes a cart with a large purple top-hat-shaped cake. A pink candle on the top has a moustache attached to it.
MR. PORTER: I've got the mayor's cake right here, Ryder, though I can't imagine why he'd want tuna-flavoured icing.
[Finger squeaks, pup-pad rings, whooshes, beeps]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter scratches his head. Ryder answers his pup-pad, and Mayor Humdinger and the Hum-ñata appear on the screen.
RYDER: Hi, Mayor. Happy birthday!
[Tense music plays]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Birthday shmurf-day! I'm in danger! I'm in a river heading straight for the—Ah! See for yourself!
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger points his device camera at the rocks in the river.
RYDER: Those look like some seriously sharp rocks, but don't worry, Mayor. No log is too fast. No pup is too small.
[Pup-pad whirrs, pup tags beep, upbeat music plays]
RYDER: Paw Patrol to the Paw Patroller.
PUPS: Ryder needs us!
[Pups bark]
DESCRIPTION: Marshall trips on a rock and bounces over the cake as Mr. Porter lifts it off the cart.
MARSHALL: Whoa! Oh, no!
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Mr. Porter catches the cake.
MR. PORTER: Phew!
ZUMA: Marshall!
RUBBLE: Watch out!
[Slide whistle]
MARSHALL: Whoa!
[Clatter, slide whistle, light music plays, Marshall slurps]
DESCRIPTION: Marshall bounces into the back of the Paw Patroller and knocks over the other pups. He sits up and licks purple icing off his nose.
MARSHALL: Tuna-flavoured icing? Yum.
[Pups laugh, badge whirrs, door closes, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The back door closes, and the pups run through the Paw Patroller. They pause behind the badge on the side, change into their Paw Patrol uniforms and then continue to their seats. The swivel seats turn, and the pups face the driver’s seat.
CHASE: Paw Patrol, ready for action, Ryder, sir!
RYDER: Thanks for hurrying, pups.
[Pup-pad beeps, whoosh, water splashes, energetic music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder pushes a button on his pup-pad. On a large screen, Mayor Humdinger floats on the log, holding his Hum-ñata.
RYDER: Mayor Humdinger and his birthday piñata got stuck on a log floating down a river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah!
ZUMA: Dude, that's a birthday bummer.
[Water splashes, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: On the large screen, Mayor Humdinger floats on the log towards the rocks.
RYDER: Yeah, we have to get the mayor off the log before he hits those rocks. So, for this mission, I'll need Skye.
[Beep, whirr, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Skye’s helicopter appears on the large screen.
RYDER: You'll use your copter and harness to lift Mayor Humdinger off the log.
SKYE: This puppy's got to fly.
RYDER: And Zuma.
[Beep, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Zuma’s hovercraft appears on the large screen.
RYDER: I'll need you to use your hovercraft to keep the log from crashing into the rocks.
ZUMA: Let's dive in!
RYDER: All right, Paw Patrol is on a roll!
[Screen whirrs, whoosh, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The large screen retracts, and Skye and Chase run into the vehicle area.
[Song] Paw Patrol. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
DESCRIPTION: Skye’s helicopter lowers from the ceiling, with the rotor lowered and packed inside the body of the vehicle.
[Song] Go, go, go, go. Skye.
[Skye giggles, panel rumbles, whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma’s hovercraft lowers from the ceiling.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go. Zuma.
[Zuma barks, ramps whirr, rumble, siren wails]
DESCRIPTION: The side and back of the Paw Patroller open. Zuma drives down a ramp, and Skye takes off from a raised platform.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go.
[Zuma and Skye bark, howl, whirrs, engine rumbles, A.T.V. thumps]
DESCRIPTION: The side and back of the Paw Patroller close. The front opens, and Ryder drives his A.T.V., landing on the road.
[Song] Go, go, go, go, go, go.
[Mayor Humdinger shouts, water splashes, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: On the river, Mayor Humdinger and his Hum-ñata float towards the rocks.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Don't look, Hum-ñata! It's too horrible!
[Cat Marshall meows, treats clatter, exciting music plays, rotor blades thump]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall looks through the eye and then dives into the treats. Ryder, Skye, and Zuma arrive on the shore.
RYDER: Zuma, block that log.
ZUMA: You got it, dude!
[Engine whirrs, water splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma drives his hovercraft onto the river.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Finally, the Paw Patrol shows up!
[Boing, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma turns his hovercraft, the log bounces off the side, and Mayor Humdinger flies up into the air, clutching the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
RYDER: Skye, catch the mayor!
SKYE: Copy that.
[Rotor blades whirr, Skye barks]
SKYE: Harness!
[Harness clicks, Mayor Humdinger screams]
DESCRIPTION: A cable with a harness drops from the bottom of the helicopter and grabs Mayor Humdinger.
SKYE: Got you.
[The music stops, rotor blades thump]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! I hope you don't get airsick, Hum-ñata.
[Cat Marshall meows]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Huh? What was that? Did my kitties come to save me?
[Whoosh, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger drops the Hum-ñata and spreads his arms.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitties, I'm right here! Oh, no! Hum-ñata, I hope you can swim!
[Slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma watches the falling Hum-ñata.
ZUMA: That's not good!
[Engine rumbles, bark, bang, energetic music plays]
ZUMA: Buoy!
[Water splashes, boing, slide whistle, thump, A.T.V. engine rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma launches a life ring buoy, and the Hum-ñata bounces on it, landing standing on the shore. Treats fall onto the grass.
RYDER: Nice catch, Zuma.
[Bushes rustle, wolf grunts, sniffs, whoosh, engines stop, wolf munches, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A grey wolf leaps out of a bush and eats the treats on the grass. Ryder and Zuma stop their vehicles nearby.
RYDER: Whoa.
[Wolf grunts, Hum-ñata thumps, wolf barks, wolf growls, Cat Marshall meows, grass rustles, treats clatter, slide whistle, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata tips over. The wolf grabs it by a foot and drags it towards the forest. Skye lowers Mayor Humdinger to the shore.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ryder, how could you let that horrible wolf take my sweet, innocent Hum-ñata?
RYDER: Sorry, Mayor, but it's better not to mess with wolves.
[Water splashes, light music notes play]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Well, you have to get him back. Please! It's my birthday!
RYDER: All right, Mayor. We'll see what we can do. Come on, pups.
[Pop, engines rumble, energetic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger puts on a top-hat-shaped helmet and climbs onto the A.T.V. behind Ryder. They drive towards the trees, following a trail of treats.
RYDER: This trail of treats should lead us to the wolf.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, I'm so worried about Hum-ñata. He's all I can think about. This has been the worst birthday ever.
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger notices a package on a rock.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Wait! Stop this vehicle.
[Tires skid, whoosh, package crinkles]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder stops his A.T.V. Mayor Humdinger hops off and picks up an open package of beef jerky.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ooh, is that beef jerky?
[Slide whistle, slurping, rotor blades thump, footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger eats the jerky. Nearby, Skye hovers over the wolf as it drags the Hum-ñata. The wolf runs towards a cave.
SKYE: Ryder, I found the wolf. Looks like he's headed for his den, not far from where you are now.
RYDER: Thanks, Skye. Come on. Let's go.
[Upbeat music plays, engines whirr]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder, the mayor, and Zuma arrive as the wolf drags the Hum-ñata towards the cave entrance.
ZUMA: Dude, check it out!
[Grass rustles, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The wolf drags it into the cave.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Hey! You leave Hum-ñata alone!
[Footsteps rustle, fist slaps, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger gets off the A.T.V. and walks towards the wolf, pointing his finger at them, and then pounds his fist against his palm.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: You'll be one sorry wolf if you so much as crumple his top hat!
RYDER: Mayor, don't! It's not safe to run up to a wild animal like that.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: So, I'm just supposed to leave Hum-ñata to that beast? Oh, my poor little paper pal!
[The mayor sobs, wolf gobbles, whines, growls, thump, slide whistle, whoosh, thumps, the mayor gasps]
DESCRIPTION: In the cave, the wolf looks inside the top hat. They straighten and wear the top hat over their head. The wolf runs around the cave and knocks the Hum-ñata onto the grass outside.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh!
[Footsteps rustle, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger runs towards the Hum-ñata.
RYDER: Mayor, don't! The wolf!
[The mayor pants, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor picks up the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Did that nasty wolf hurt my cute little—
[Cat Marshall meows]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Huh? Where'd that meow come from?
[Wolf grumbles, zooms, Mayor Humdinger shouts, hat thumps, exciting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The wolf walks to the entrance of the cave, and Mayor Humdinger runs, carrying his Hum-ñata. The wolf chases the mayor past Ryder and Zuma, and the hat falls off the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah!
RYDER: Zuma?
[Zuma barks, engines whirr, cranks]
ZUMA: Buoys!
[Buoys clatter, wolf grunts, whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Zuma launches life ring buoys, and they land between the mayor and the wolf. The wolf stops and plays with a buoy.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Gah!
[Engines rumble]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder and Zuma drive behind the mayor as he flees.
RYDER: Mayor, slow down!
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Whoa!
[Whoosh, thud, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger trips and tumbles down a hill. The Hum-ñata flies out of his arms.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh! Oh-ho-ho! Oh!
[Thud, thump]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata lands in two pieces nearby. Mayor Humdinger kneels, spreads his arms, and looks up at the sky.
MAYOR HUMDINGER, ECHOING: No! Hum-ñata!
(Meow, thumps, grass rustles]
DESCRIPTION: The Hum-ñata head moves on the grass.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: It's... it's... it's alive!
RYDER: This is too strange.
(Meow, click, thunk]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder peers at the head through binoculars. Cat Marshall stands and their four legs poke out beneath the head.
RYDER: Oh! It's just one of Mayor Humdinger's kitties inside the piñata head.
[Meow, the mayor gasps, dramatic music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Still in the head, Cat Marshall walks towards the edge of a cliff.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitty?
RYDER: Hold on.
[Beep, whirr, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Ryder swipes on his pup-pad, and Chase appears on the screen.
RYDER: Chase, be ready with your net at the bottom of the cliff, just in case.
CHASE: Chase is on the case.
[Pup-pad beeps, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger walks to the Hum-ñata body and picks it up.
RYDER: Skye, try to keep that kitty out of harm's way!
SKYE: Sure thing, Ryder.
[Meow, rotor blades thump]
DESCRIPTION: Skye flies towards the edge of the cliff. On the cliff, the mayor runs across the grass towards the kitty wearing the head.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Come back! You complete me! And him!
[Meow, slide whistle, tense music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall peers through the eye and sees Mayor Humdinger running towards them. They back up and fall over the edge of the cliff.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Oh, no!
[Meow]
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I lost my head! And my kitty!
[Meow, siren wails, Chase barks, exciting music plays]
CHASE: Net!
[Whirr, pew, whoosh, meow, thud]
DESCRIPTION: Chase launches a net below the kitty and the head. The kitty lands, bounces off the net, and lands on their feet beside it, still wearing the Hum-ñata head.
CHASE: Whew! You okay, kitty?
[Cat Marshall meows, thumps, footsteps rustle, slide whistle, treat whooshes, thumps, gentle music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The kitty tips the head and walks out, carrying a treat. Cat Marshall drops the treat and pushes it to Chase.
CHASE: Aw. No need to thank me. I'm just happy you're okay.
[Chase sniffs]
CHASE: Ooh, but I do like the flavour.
DESCRIPTION: Mayor Humdinger arrives, carrying the rest of the Hum-ñata.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Kitty, I'm so glad you're okay, and so's your new big brother, Hum-ñata.
[Cat Marshall meows, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Cat Marshall walks away.
[Whoosh, pups laugh, footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays, cake squelches, plate scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Mr. Porter and Ms. Marjorie raise their cups on the picnic blanket. Maynard, Zuma, Rubble, Rocky, and Skye stand on the blanket beside them. Marshall chases Chase past a picnic table where Ryder and Mayor Humdinger stand. The mayor holds a knife and stands beside his cake. The trophy lies on the grass beside him. Mayor Humdinger cuts a piece of cake and puts it on a plate. He cuts a smaller piece for Ryder.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: I'm the birthday boy, so I get the biggest piece. Here you go, Ryder, and thanks for saving me, my kitty, and Hum-ñata.
RYDER: No problem, Mayor Humdinger. Whenever your piñata's in peril, just yelp for help.
[The mayor sniffs, ding, horn blares, fork clatters]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor sniffs the piece of cake and drops his fork.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Ah! Tuna?
DESCRIPTION: On the grass, Rocky and Chase wag their tails.
ROCKY: Looks good as new. Well, sort of.
[Hops boing, thump, rustle, kitties meow]
DESCRIPTION: Ms. Marjorie wears a pink covering over her eyes and hits the Hum-ñata with a baseball bat. The Hum-ñata falls and the head rolls off, scattering kitty treats on the grass.
CHASE: Aw! But piñatas are made to be broken.
[Head thumps]
DESCRIPTION: The mayor picks up the Hum-ñata head.
MAYOR HUMDINGER: Oh, Hum-ñata, you win the prize for best birthday present ever.
[Energetic music plays]
