[Playful orchestral music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Pip snores, Frankie giggles, imitates a goat bleat, cheerful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In front of the playing spot, Pip sits with his back to the porch, and his eyes closed. Behind him, Frankie sneaks up the staircase to his left.
PIP: Hah! Troll is awake!
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie stops on the porch, one foot in the air, and watches Pip stand.
PIP: Time to shatter and shake. Who is that trip-trapping over my bridge?!
[Frankie gasps, giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sneaks forward, and Pip turns, facing her. She stops moving.
PIP: A billy goat?!
[Footsteps patter, Pip growls, Frankie shrieks, Frankie gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Pip runs up the staircase on the other side of the porch, and Frankie runs back down her staircase. Posy arrives, and Frankie stops beside her.
[The music stops]
FRANKIE: Oh, Posy! Quick! Run away from the troll.
PIP: A mean, stinky troll!
POSY: Oh no! Not stinky!
FRANKIE: Come and be a goat with me. I'm trying to get to the other side.
[Posy giggles]
POSY: Or... what if we're penguins, and that's our igloo!
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy points at a geo-dome climber.
FRANKIE: Good idea.
[Upbeat music plays, Frankie chirps, Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie and Posy imitate waddling penguins and walk to the porch stairs. Pip sits on the ground between the two staircases. He pretends to wash under his arms.
PIP: I hope no cheeky penguins walk over my bridge while I'm having my slug slime brew bath.
FRANKIE AND POSY: Eww!
[Frankie chirps]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie reaches the bottom step and stops.
FRANKIE: Oh. I can't get up the steps. My penguin legs aren't long enough.
[Thump]
DESCRIPTION: Posy approaches the steps and kicks the bottom one.
POSY: Whoop. Nope.
[Both giggle, Pip sings, Posy gasps]
POSY: Let's go up on our fluffy bottoms!
[Both giggle, exclamations, Pip thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie sit on the stairs. Pip stands.
PIP: You better hurry up! I'm getting out of the bath!
[Posy giggles]
POSY: We're trying!
[Posy and Frankie giggle, dirt rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie bump up the stairs backwards on their bottoms. Posy pretends to fall and sits on the bottom step.
POSY: Whoa!
[Both laugh, Pip gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Pip watches Posy and Frankie play on the stairs. He looks down, then smiles.
PIP: Hah!
[Posy and Frankie shriek]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pops up on the porch behind Posy and Frankie.
PIP: Who is that bum-shuffling over my bridge!
[Girls scream, Frankie chirps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie stand and run away from the stairs.
PIP: I'll put you in my slime dungeon!
[Posy and Frankie giggle]
PIP: And stay out!
[Pip yawns, the music stops]
PIP: All that chasing has made me sleepy. Those naughty penguins best not disturb my nap.
[Footsteps rustle, Pip snores]
DESCRIPTION: Pip sits on the ground in front of the porch and pretends to sleep.
POSY: Oh!
[Posy giggles, girls laugh, upbeat music plays]]
DESCRIPTION: Pip notices Posy and Frankie sitting on the ground, holding sticks.
PIP: Uh, what are you doing?
FRANKIE: Catching fish for lunch. We'll need extra energy to run past you.
POSY: Oh! Oh! I caught something!
[Posy sniffs]
DESCRIPTION: Posy pretends to hold something in her hand and sniffs it.
POSY: Oh no! Just the troll's smelly welly.
FRANKIE: Blech! Stinky!
[Girls laugh, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks to Posy and Frankie.
PIP: Mmm! Nice and tasty penguins!
POSY: Naughty troll! Back to your bridge.
FRANKIE: Yeah.
[She giggles]
FRANKIE: You're not allowed to leave it, remember?
PIP: Oh. Okay. Well, hurry up, then.
[Girls laugh, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks back to his spot on the ground and sits.
POSY: Mmm! Yummy fish.
[Imitating eating]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie pretend to eat the fish.
POSY: Now to our igloo.
[Footsteps rustle, Posy and Frankie chirp]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie imitate waddling penguins and approach the staircase. Pip runs up the other staircase and stands on the porch.
PIP: You can't cross, teeny penguins. You'll never get past the powerful troll!
POSY: Oh yeah? I can, because I'm not a penguin. I'm a...
[Babbles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy spins, then flaps her arms.
POSY: Mighty eagle! Hold on tight!
DESCRIPTION: Posy grabs Frankie’s hand, and they wave their arms. They run past Pip.
POSY: Whoosh! Whoosh!
PIP: What are you doing?
POSY: Can't stop us, meanie troll. We can fly way up in the sky!
[Girls giggle]
PIP: Well, I'll-- I'll just--Wear my troll bouncy shoes, and jump up and catch you!
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie stand on the other side of the playing spot.
POSY: Too late! We've crossed the bridge already!
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie run away from Pip.
FRANKIE: Whoo-hoo! Yay!
PIP: That's not fair.
[The music stops, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie run to the geo-dome climber, their igloo.
POSY: We made it!
[Frankie giggles]
POSY: This can be your house, Frankie Penguin. and I'll live... Oh, up here in my nest!
[Rustle, taps]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sits inside her igloo, and Posy climbs to the top.
POSY: Hello down there!
[Frankie giggles]
FRANKIE: Hello, neighbour!
[Both giggle, Pip sighs, Pip grumbles]
PIP: Posy, we're supposed to be—
[Girls shriek, laugh]
PIP: Playing together.
[Posy shrieks]
POSY: Smelly troll is here!
[Frankie shrieks]
POSY: Quick! Run!
PIP: Stop! I just want to play! Listen!
[Girls shout, laugh, ravens caw]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie run around the playground, and Pip chases them.
FRANKIE: Go back to your bridge!
POSY: Yeah, you mean old troll!
[Tense music plays]
PIP: I'm not mean, you are! You keep leaving me out, and I-- I don't like it!
[Pip grumbles, footsteps patter, the music stops]
FRANKIE: Oh. I don't think he's being the troll anymore. He's really upset.
POSY: Oh.
[Pip sniffles, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie walk to where Pip sits in front of the playing spot.
POSY: Pip, what's wrong? We were just playing.
PIP: I know. But you kept going off fishing and finding igloos, and it wasn't very fun being on my own.
[Light music plays]
POSY: Oh, I'm sorry, Pip.
FRANKIE: Yeah, we didn't mean to leave you on your own.
POSY: We got so carried away being funny squawky birds in our new homes.
[Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy looks at the slide.
POSY: I've got a surprise for Mr. Troll! If you still want to play.
PIP: Yeah, of course I do!
POSY: Then come on!
[Posy giggles, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy pulls Pip to his feet, then leads Frankie and Pip to the slide.
POSY: Tah-dah!
PIP: Um, the slide?
POSY: It's a bridge.
[Pip giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy tickles Pip.
POSY: A bigger, better bridge for troll to live under. And it's right next to our igloo!
[Pip giggles, footsteps rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the igloo.
POSY: So you won't be on your own anymore.
[Posy giggles, tap]
DESCRIPTION: Posy jumps onto the geo-dome climber. She and Frankie wave at Pip.
FRANKIE: Hello, neighbour!
[Pip giggles]
PIP: It's very nice.
[Upbeat music plays]
POSY: Can we cross your new bridge, Mr. Troll?
PIP: Of course you can!
[Girls squeal, giggle, footsteps tap]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie run to the slide and climb the ladder.
PIP: Who's that slip-sliding over my bridge?
[Grass rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Frankie slide down the slide.
POSY: Whee!
FRANKIE: Whee!
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks to Posy and Frankie.
PIP: Troll isn't grumpy anymore, but he is hungry!
[Frankie and Posy squeal]
PIP: So, um, would you like to pop around for dinner?
BOTH: Oh, yes, please!
[Girls giggle, grass rustles, upbeat music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone sits on the grass beside the slide. Pip picks up a red leaf.
POSY: Mmm, what's for dinner, Trolly-Polly?
PIP: Troll's favourite, stink pie! And boogey gravy!
[Posy shouts, girls giggle, everyone laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip carries the leaf and chases Posy. He changes direction and chases Frankie.
PIP: Eat it while it's warm and gooey!
