DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the playing spot, Pip and Posy stand on a small stage in the corner. Pip watches Posy dance, her arms flapping up and down, bent at the elbow, as she moves to her right.
POSY SINGS: Da da da da da. Da da da da da.
[Pip and Posy giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip imitates the dance move.
PIP SINGS: Da da da da da. Da da da da da.
POSY: Great space shuffling. Now, twirl!
[Footsteps tap]
DESCRIPTION: Posy twirls, arms raised.
POSY SINGS: La da da da dee doo.
PIP SINGS: La la la la doo.
[Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip twirls, arms raised. He wobbles.
PIP: Whoa! Dizzy.
[Posy laughs]
POSY: Perfect!
[Posy laughs]
PIP: Okay. What's next?
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Zac and Jamila stand at the open patio doors.
ZAC: Hi! Has your dance show thingy started?
[Posy giggles]
POSY: No. You're too early.
DESCRIPTION: Pip gestures at a painting on the wall, featuring a pink planet with a rocket ship in the purple sky above.
PIP: Yeah. The paint on planet Bloblon hasn't even dried yet.
ZAC: Okay. Come get us when you're ready.
[Jamila gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac tags Jamila and runs away.
ZAC: Tag! You're it!
JAMILA: Hey!
[Jamila and Posy laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila chases Zac out of the playing spot.
[Upbeat music plays]
POSY: Next move, the Posy-doe! Link arms and skip.
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Pip link arms and skip.
BOTH SING: Da da da da da da da da da.
DESCRIPTION: Posy and Pip stop, and Posy spreads her arms.
POSY: And the big finish goes like this!
DESCRIPTION: Posy holds her hands beside her face.
POSY: Let's....
DESCRIPTION: Posy spins, and Pip imitates her.
POSY: Sparkle face!
[Posy giggles]
PIP: Sparkle face!
[Both laugh, the music stops]
PIP: The Bloblon Boogie's going to be so funny.
POSY: I think we're ready! I'll get Zac and Jamila!
[Both laugh, Pip giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs offstage, and Pip dances excitedly.
PIP: Quick, Piggy. You get a front-row seat next to Froggy. Here.
[Paint squelches]
DESCRIPTION: Pip bends over and picks up Piggy, and his bottom hits the wet pink paint on the painting.
PIP: Huh? Uh...
[He gasps, dramatic music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Pip looks at pink paint on his tail and blue jeans.
PIP: Oh, no! Piggy, look! What am I going to do? I can't dance like this! Everyone will laugh at me!
[He whimpers, Posy laughs]
POSY: They're here!
DESCRIPTION: Pip drops Piggy.
PIP: Ah!
[Zac, Jamila, Posy Laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Posy leads Zac and Jamila to the carpet in front of the stage.
POSY: Pick your spot! The show's about to begin!
ZAC: Bouncy best seat!
[Zac giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Zac and Jamila sit on either side of Froggy. Jamila picks Piggy up from the edge of the stage.
JAMILA: Oh, hey. You can sit with me and Froggy.
[Zac laughs]
PIP: Um, Posy, I'm, um, not ready yet.
[Posy laughs]
POSY: Course you are. You were great. Oh, and guess what? We've got another fan.
[Posy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: A brown dog wearing a yellow dress enters the playing spot and sits in front of the stage.
POSY: Come in! Come in! I'll get the music ready!
DESCRIPTION: Pip backs to the wall and waves.
PIP: Uh... hi.
[Click, tense music plays, audience giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy pushes a button on a music player.
POSY: Welcome to the amazing Bloblon Boogie! Let's climb into our rocket and three... two... one... blast off!
[Audience giggles, thud]
DESCRIPTION: Posy jumps.
POSY: Oh, planet Bloblon is so squishy.
[Posy giggles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy walks in place.
POSY: Let's space shuffle!
[Posy giggles, Pip chuckles nervously, audience giggles, applauds]
DESCRIPTION: Posy dances to the right, then gestures at Pip. He imitates her dance.
[Pip gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy points at the ceiling.
POSY: Oh, no! Asteroid! Let's twirl!
[Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy twirls.
PIP: Uh... uh... Uh...
DESCRIPTION: Pip dances as Posy twirls.
PIP: Dee dum dee dee.
POSY: Huh?
JAMILA: What's Pip doing? That's not a twirl.
ZAC: Uh, maybe that's how they do it on planet Bloblon.
[Pip chuckles nervously, upbeat music plays]
POSY: Uh, here come some friendly aliens. They want to dance the Posy-doe!
[Pip yelps, dog in yellow dress gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy grabs Pip’s arm and starts to walk in a circle. The dog in the yellow dress looks at Pip’s pink tail.
PIP: Ah!
[Posy yelps, pants]
DESCRIPTION: Pip stops turning and pushes Posy away.
POSY: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: Posy spins, and Pip bounces, bending his knees.
POSY, WHISPERING: Pip, what's going on?
PIP: What do you mean? It's going great.
POSY: And the aliens were so happy, they danced around like this!
POSY, WHISPERING: Sparkle face, remember?
PIP: Uh-huh. Let's...
DESCRIPTION: Posy spins, and Pip drops to one knee.
POSY: Huh?
PIP: Sparkle face!
POSY: Pip, what are you doing?
PIP: What do you mean? Sparkle face!
POSY: Ugh!
[Click, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Posy pushes the button on the music player.
POSY: But you didn't do the rest! It goes like this. Let's...
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy walks towards Pip, and he backs away, turning his back to the audience.
PIP: No! Stop! Wait!
[Jamila and Zac gasp]
ZAC: What's that on Pip's bum?
[Zac and Jamila laugh]
PIP: Ah!
[Dog in yellow dress giggles]
PIP: It's nothing!
DESCRIPTION: Pip turns towards the audience, and Posy looks at his bottom.
POSY: Uh, no, it's not.
[Pip gasps]
POSY: You've got a painty bottom.
[Everyone but Pip laughs]
PIP: I know! And I knew everyone would laugh at me, even you!
[Zac laughs]
ZAC: Oh.
[Footsteps rustle, Pip sighs, signs, the music stops, paper towel rips]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks off the stage with his shoulders slumped. He walks to a chair, looks at it, covers the seat with a paper towel, and sits down.
[Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy looks at a smudge on the painting on the wall.
POSY: Oh. It's just a bit of paint, Pip. Come back and dance.
PIP: No. I can't. Everyone will laugh at me again.
POSY: But... no one was laughing at you. It was just a bit of a... surprise.
[Zac chuckles]
PIP: Oh, but—
[Pip groans]
PIP: I--It's still too embarrassing. I can't dance with a painty bottom.
[Posy gasps, laughs, light music plays]
POSY: Why not? We wanted the show to be funny.
[Posy laughs, paint squelches]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the painting and puts her bottom against it.
POSY: Oops!
[Audience laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Posy waggles her bottom.
PIP: Huh?
POSY: Who's ready for the fabulous painty bottoms of Bloblon?
AUDIENCE: Yay!
[Applause, button clicks, tense music plays, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy turns her back to the audience and dances to her right.
POSY: Let's space shuffle!
[Zac and Jamila laugh, cheer]
POSY: And twirl!
[Everyone laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Posy spins with raised arms. She waggles her bottom.
POSY: Now, where is my painty bottom partner?
[Posy laughs]
PIP: Uh...
[Chair creaks, Pip laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pushes his chair back. He glances at the seat, hesitates, and then turns to the stage.
PIP: Three, two, one! Blast off!
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip runs to the stage, links arms with Posy, and they dance in a circle.
BOTH: Posy-doe!
[Both laugh, Zac and Jamila cheer]
PIP AND POSY: Do the Bloblon Boogie!
[Both laugh]
DESCRIPTION: They turn their backs to the audience and waggle their bottoms.
PIP: Ready, painty bottom Posy?
[Posy giggles]
