DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In a small house, Posy faces Pip, Zac, and Frankie. The room is decorated with orange and black balloons, and streamers dangle in a window.
POSY: It's time for the spook-tacular party!
PIP, FRANKIE, AND POSY, IMITATING A GHOST: Woo!
[Zac laughs]
POSY: We're going to play musical scares here.
PIP: And later, we can howl at the moon.
ZAC: Yes. I've been practising.
[Zac howls, Posy and Frankie giggle]
POSY: But first, we've got to look spooky. To the fancy dress!
[Frankie gasps, everyone laughs, clothes rustle, children murmur]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone runs past a small spider on a web. The spider startles, looking at a toy spider on a web decoration. Across the room, everyone looks into a wardrobe chest. Pip takes out a pair of yellow and pink wings.
[The music stops]
PIP: Hmm. Oh! I'm going to be a scary fairy.
[Zac gasps, eyes rattle, Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up a headband with wobbling eyes on twisted wire.
POSY: And I'm an alien.
[Posy giggles]
ZAC: Do you want a moustache, Frankie?
[Frankie giggles, upbeat music plays]
FRANKIE: No thanks. I've brought my own face paint. I'm going to be a Frankie-fine monster...
[Zac gasps, stomps thump]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie stomps.
OTHERS: Ooh, ooh!
FRANKIE: With oozy green skin and black, bushy eyebrows.
[Frankie roars, everyone laughs, Frankie giggles, case thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sits at a table and puts her face paint case in front of her. She takes a hand mirror out of her bag, leans it against a radio, and opens the face paint. Nearby, Pip wears the wings and a ruffled green skirt. He holds a wand with a star on top.
[The music stops]
PIP: Aha! Scary fairy.
[Posy screams]
DESCRIPTION: Posy hides behind Zac.
POSY: Ooh!
ZAC: You're not that scary.
PIP: Oh.
[Frankie hums, footsteps rustle, chair creaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip sits on a stool beside Frankie.
PIP: Oh, Frankie? Can I have some face paint, too?
FRANKIE: Um, okay. What do you want?
PIP: Uh, a black star around this eye, for extra-scary magic-y powers.
[Frankie giggles]
FRANKIE: Okay. One extra-scary magic-y star coming up.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy wears the headband and a pair of rain boots. Zac wears brown mittens with white fingers.
POSY: Check out my moon boots. Bloop-bloop!
[Zac giggles]
ZAC: And I'm a werewolf with scratchy claws.
[Zac howls, Posy giggles]
POSY: Bloop-bloop.
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie holds the hand mirror and shows Pip the black star over his right eye.
PIP: Now, I'm a really scary fairy! Thanks, Frankie.
DESCRIPTION: Pip runs across the room and points his wand at Zac.
PIP: Ala-ka-zap! You can only walk backwards.
ZAC: Huh?
[Everyone laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Zac walks backwards.
POSY: Wow! That looks so good. I want face paint, too.
[Frankie hums]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sits at the table.
POSY: Frankie, can you give me, um-- Oh! Green alien spots.
FRANKIE: Oh. Um—
[Posy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie looks at her black and green face paint, where the bottom of the case shows through in both colours.
FRANKIE: Go on, then.
[Posy squeals, light music plays, paintbrush taps]
DESCRIPTION: The small spider drops down in front of the toy spider and waves. At the table, Frankie puts her face paintbrush down and holds the hand mirror in front of Posy.
FRANKIE: There.
[Posy gasps, the music stops, Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy has four green spots on her face.
POSY: I look hideous! Perfect. Thanks, Frankie.
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the living room, where Pip points his wand at Zac.
PIP: Ah, zap!
POSY: Look at me.
PIP: A spotty-dotty alien is coming to get us. I'll stop her with my freeze fan.
[Posy screams, giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip chases Posy. Zac runs to Frankie.
PIP: Zap. Zap. Zap-zap-zap.
ZAC: Frankie, can you paint me some werewolf fangs?
[Soft music plays]
FRANKIE: Oh. Uh, I've only got a little bit of paint left.
ZAC: But I'm not spooky enough yet. Just two little black fangs?
[Upbeat music plays]
FRANKIE: Okay.
[Zac giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Zac sits on the stool.
FRANKIE: There's still enough green for my monster face.
ZAC: Ooh. Is it done yet?
[Zac giggles]
FRANKIE: I've only just started. Sit still.
ZAC: Oh.
[Zac giggles, Frankie shouts]
DESCRIPTION: Zac moves, and Frankie draws a zig-zagging line beneath his mouth.
ZAC: Oops.
[Frankie chuckles]
FRANKIE: Right. Let's clean it up.
[Zac roars, Posy laughs, Zac howls, door creaks, slams, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie and Zac walk towards the bathroom. Zac pauses and holds his paws up beside Posy. He and Frankie enter the bathroom and close the door. In the living room, Pip and Posy put cushions on the floor.
PIP: All ready for musical scares.
[Posy giggles, mirror thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the table and picks up the radio. The hand mirror falls, and she picks it up.
POSY: Ooh!
DESCRIPTION: Posy looks at her reflection.
POSY: – Huh? Hmm. Pip, can you paint me some extra spots?
PIP: Um, okay.
[Posy squeals, giggles, upbeat music plays, Pip giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip paints green spots on Posy’s face.
PIP: Um-- Here. Here. And a little one here. Now, you're the spottiest alien ever.
[Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy looks in the hand mirror.
POSY: I love it!
[Both laugh, door opens, closes, Zac howls]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts the paintbrush down beside the case, leaving two empty paint divots. He picks up his wand and follows Posy.
ZAC: Werewolf set to catch!
[Everyone laughs, Frankie gasps, dramatic music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Zac chases Posy and Pip around a coffee table. Frankie runs to the table.
FRANKIE: Who used all my paint?
[Soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, everyone stops.
POSY: Um, I only used a teeny bit.
FRANKIE: But I already gave you some spots. And you have a star, and you've got some fangs, and I've got nothing.
[Sighs, sad music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sits on the chair and looks at the floor.
FRANKIE: It was my face paint, and now, there's none left for me.
PIP AND POSY: Oh.
[The music stops]
POSY: Oh, we're sorry, Frankie. You were so kind to let us have some.
PIP: We should've thought about you, too.
ZAC: Yeah.
FRANKIE: Thanks, but it's too late now. I can't be a Frankie-fine monster anymore.
[Click, soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie closes her face paint case.
POSY: Oh.
[Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy glances at the discarded costumes around the wardrobe chest.
POSY: Maybe you can. You wait here, and, uh, don't look.
[Posy, Pip, and Zac giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy grabs Pip’s hand and runs toward the wardrobe chest. Zac gives Frankie a plate of cookies.
ZAC: Um, here.
[Zac giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Zac runs towards the living room.
FRANKIE: Huh?
[Paintbrush scrapes, Zac giggles, cookie crunches, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Pip paints a masquerade eye mask green. Frankie eats a cookie and looks at the others’ backs. Posy draws on the mask with a black marker.
POSY: Aha.
[Posy, Zac, and Pip giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie approaches the coffee table, and Zac stands.
ZAC: No peeking!
[Frankie screams, giggles, Zac giggles, drawer clatters, Pip giggles
DESCRIPTION: Zac chases Frankie back to the table. Posy opens a drawer and removes a roll of aluminum foil.
POSY: She's going to love it.
PIP: Maybe we can make her even scarier. Ooh, I know!
DESCRIPTION: Pip removes the toy spider from the web decoration, and the small spider’s mouth turns down at the corners.
PIP: We turned you into a Frankie-fine monster!
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: At the table, Frankie wears the mask, eyes closed. Pip waves his wand, and Zac holds the hand mirror in front of her.
POSY: Open your eyes.
[Frankie gasps, giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie opens her eyes and looks at her reflection. She wears the green mask with thick, black eyebrows and a silver aluminum bolt on each side. The toy spider sits by her neck. She wears the alien eyes headband, the white-fingered mittens, and the fairy wings.
FRANKIE: Oh!
[Frankie giggles]
FRANKIE: Thanks, everyone. I look amazing! I don't think I'm just a Frankie-fine monster anymore.
PIP: Yeah. Now, you're a flying, four-eyed, sharp-clawed, spider-wearing super spooky Frankie-fine monster!
[Posy, Zac, and Frankie laugh]
FRANKIE: What are we waiting for? Let's party!
[Button clicks, scary piano music plays, cheering, everyone laughs, roars, Zac howls]
DESCRIPTION: Posy stands beside the radio. Pip, Zac, and Frankie walk around the four cushions on the floor.
PIP: Zap-zap!
[Cheering, everyone laughs, roars]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie spins, and the toy spider flies off and lands on the small spider’s web. The small spider arrives at their web and smiles broadly. They skitter to the web and snuggle with the toy spider.
