DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Upbeat music plays, wings flap, marble rattles, whoosh, bird squawks, soft thumps]
DESCRIPTION: In the playground beside the playing spot, a black-and-white bird drops a blue marble in their nest. They look at the marble, a spoon, and a button in the nest, then move the marble to the other side of the spoon. A flying disc flies near the bird, and they drop the marble. It lands beside the flying disc on the grass.
POSY: Whoa!
[Bird chirps, Posy giggles, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the flying disc, and Pip follows her.
POSY: That one was a big high, Pip!
PIP: Whoopsy!
[Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up the marble.
POSY: Look! Treasure! Where did you come from? Maybe…
[Gasps]
POSY: A pirate ship! Or a sparkly crown!
PIP: Hmm. I think it's from the marble run in the playing spot.
[Posy gasps, light music plays]
POSY: What? I didn't know we had a marble run.
[Pip chuckles]
PIP: I haven't played it for ages, but it is fun.
[Clap, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy clasps the marble between both her hands.
POSY: I want to see! Show me! Show me! Show me!
PIP: Okay!
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip holds the flying disc in front of his face. It features a drawing of eyes and a mouth with the tongue sticking out.
PIP: Follow me, Mr. Frisbee.
[Both laugh, bird squawks, book bangs, Pip giggles, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The bird watches Pip and Posy run to the playing spot. Inside, Pip lifts a book and a Snakes and Ladders game off a plastic tub.
PIP: Ta-da!
POSY: Wow! I've never seen pieces this big before.
[Pip giggles, marble rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip picks up a straight piece of track and drops the marble on one end.
PIP: Blip!
[Marble rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip tilts the track piece, and the marble rolls down to a hole and drops into Posy’s hand.
POSY: Oh!
[Gasps]
POSY: Let's each make a marble run!
PIP: Yeah! A Rolly Posy one and a Plunky Pip one.
[Both giggle, pieces clatter, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy take pieces from the tub.
PIP: Oh!
DESCRIPTION: Posy finds a pink marble.
POSY: Oh! Look, Blue Blue. I found your friend Pinky Pong.
[Giggles, pieces clatter]
POSY: Do you have any more friends in here?
DESCRIPTION: Pip takes a loop-de-loop track piece and two pieces with spinners out of the tub.
PIP: One, two, three! Fun bits for me!
POSY: Hey! You got all the good bits. Do you need that loop-de-loop?
PIP: Yep! I've got a special plan. I need all of them!
POSY: Hmm. Okay. I'm keeping Blue Blue then.
[Posy giggles, thud, bird chirps, spinner rattles, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The black-and-white bird lands by the open door and looks into the room. Inside, Pip spins one of the spinners. The hole at the end of the track leads to a lower level with the second spinner.
PIP: Look! My double spinner winner!
[Posy giggles]
POSY: Oh, I love it! Mine's called, um, the straight—
DESCRIPTION: Posy turns to her two-level track with straight pieces.
POSY: Straight-a-reeny.
[Both giggle, cheerful music plays]
PIP: Double Spinner Winner, go!
[Marble rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip places the pink marble on the track; it hits the spinner and comes to a stop.
PIP: Oh.
POSY: Boop! Woo!
[Posy giggles, marble rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy rolls her marble down both levels of her track.
POSY: Did you see that? It went zoom!
[Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip picks up a curvy track and the loop-de-loop.
PIP: Mine's going to be even zoomier when I add these.
[Bird chirps]
DESCRIPTION: The blue marble rolls past the open door, and the bird hops towards it. They notice Posy approaching and fly outside.
POSY: There you are, Blue Blue. Hmm.
[Posy giggles, bird chirps, footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up an empty paper towel roll. She runs back to Pip’s marble run, which starts with the loop-de-loop and leads to the curvy track on the next level, then the two spinner levels.
[The music stops]
PIP: Look! Now, it's a loopy zig-zaggy double spinner winner!
POSY: Wow, Pip! It looks so-- whizzy!
PIP: I know! Watch this!
[Marble rumbles, upbeat music notes play, marble clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pushes the marble on the track, and it falls off the loop-de-loop.
PIP: Aw! That's not supposed to happen. Hmm. We need to make it go faster.
POSY: My turn! Uh, ooh! Boop!
[Marble clatters, Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy drops the blue marble on her straight track, and it rolls down the levels and through the empty paper towel tube at the end.
POSY: Zoom through the tunnel! You went super-fast, Blue Blue!
PIP: Yeah. You did.
[Posy hums]
DESCRIPTION: Pip looks at the two marble runs.
[The music stops]
PIP: Um, Posy, do you need all of those straight bits?
POSY: Um, yep. Why?
PIP: Uh, I've got so many loops and spinners, my marble can't go fast enough. I think I need something less fancy.
POSY: Oh, what about your special plan?
PIP: It didn't really work. Sorry for grabbing all the fun bits.
[Light music plays]
POSY: That's okay. We could swap a piece if you'd like. One of my straight bits for your…
[Posy gasps]
POSY: Loop-de-loop.
PIP: My loop-de-loop?
DESCRIPTION: Posy waves a piece of straight track.
POSY: Ooh!
PIP: Mmm. Okay.
[He giggles]
POSY: One, two, three.
BOTH: Swapsies!
[Track piece clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy trade track pieces. Pip puts the straight track on the top level of his marble run and rubs the pink marble against his shirt.
PIP: Here it goes!
[Marble clatters, rumbles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The marble rolls across the straight track piece beneath the first spinner.
PIP: Yeah!
DESCRIPTION: The marble hits the second spinner and stops. Posy walks to Pip and kneels beside him.
PIP: Oh! Um, Posy. Want to swap for a spiny bit, too?
POSY: Um, yeah!
[Pip giggles, track pieces thump]
DESCRIPTION: Pip trades a spinner for a straight track piece. Posy stands, holding the empty tube.
POSY SINGS: Da-da-da-da-da-da-da!
PIP: They both look amazing!
[The music stops]
POSY: It almost looks like one giant run.
[Pip giggles, gasps. Rustle, clink]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pushes his marble run to Posy’s, so the lowest level on his connects to the highest level on hers.
POSY: Whoa!
PIP: Now it is one giant run!
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up the empty tube.
POSY: Wait! What if we made it even bigger?
[Posy giggles, upbeat music plays, recycling rustles]
DESCRIPTION: They take empty tubes out of a recycling bin. Pip holds empty toilet paper tubes in front of his eyes, and Posy holds empty paper towel tubes at the sides of her head.
PIP: Zoom! Zoom!
POSY: Bloob, bloob, bloob.
DESCRIPTION: At a table, Pip tapes two pieces of a paper towel tube cut length-wise together. Posy arrives holding a xylophone.
POSY: Ah!
[Pip gasps, books thump, Posy hums, Pip roars, bird chirps, Posy screams, giggles, both laugh, thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy stacks three books, then leans a paper towel tube against them. On the porch of the playing spot, Pip puts a dinosaur at the end of the cut tubes. On the edge of a bird bath, the black-and-white bird flaps their wings and looks around. Posy runs inside, and Pip places the straight track on the porch. Posy sneaks up behind him and holds out the flying disc.
POSY: Ha!
[Pip gasps, drumroll plays]
DESCRIPTION: Inside, Pip places a cut paper towel tube on the edge of a book on a table, leading down to the top of the marble run.
POSY: Presenting the one, the only—
[Bright music plays]
BOTH: Marvellous marble run!
[Both giggle, marble clatters, rumbles, Pip and Posy vocalize, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy drops the blue marble into Pip’s hand. He places it on the marble run, and it rolls down the track.
PIP: Yes! Yes! Yes!
[Both giggle, marble clatters]
DESCRIPTION: The marble spins a spinner.
POSY: Yes!
[Posy gasps, marble rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: The marble rolls around the loop-de-loop and up a paper towel roll.
PIP: Yay! Yay!
[Marble thumps, both giggle, xylophone music plinks, marble rumbles]
DESCRIPTION: The marble rolls down the stack of books and across the xylophone. It rolls between the toy dinosaur’s legs and outside.
POSY: Yahoo! Wee! Yay!
[Both laugh, marble clatters, bird chirps, both cheer]
DESCRIPTION: The marble lands on the flying disc, and Pip and Posy dance.
POSY: Yay!
PIP: Wahoo!
[Both giggle, the music stops]
POSY: The whizziest, wishiest marble run ever!
PIP: Let's do it again!
[Both giggle, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy runs to the flying disc, and the blue marble is gone.
POSY: Huh? Uh? What? Where's Blue Blue?
[Upbeat music plays]
PIP: Oh, well. Let's give Pinky Pong a turn.
[Both giggle, wings flap, bird chirps]
DESCRIPTION: They run inside the playing spot. At the nest, the bird places the blue marble inside and sits on it.
