CAMP LEADER: Oh, Odo, I have a few little jobs that need doing
DESCRIPTION: Camp Leader holds up a checklist and hands it to Odo.
CAMP LEADER: Now, I would do it myself, but I'm very busy putting these posters up.
DESCRIPTION: Camp Leader takes one of the papers and hangs it up on a tree. It is a poster of three yellow birds accompanied by musical notes.
[ODO AND DOODLE GASP]
DOODLE: The Canaries are performing a new song?
CAMP LEADER: Mm. Tomorrow morning.
DESCRIPTION: Camp Leader tries to hang up the poster, but it keeps rolling back up.
DOODLE: I can't wait to hear it. Maybe if we ask nicely, the Canaries will sing it to us today.
ODO: A sneak peek tweet. Good idea, Doodle.
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle run off.
CAMP LEADER: And don't forget about doing everything on my list!
DESCRIPTION: Later, the Canaries are sitting on a tree branch and singing.
[SINGING SCALES]
DESCRIPTION: One of the Canaries, Do, coughs and frowns.
[SPUTTERS]
[DO COUGHING]
[SINGING]
[SINGS OFF-KEY]
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle look up at them and frown.
ODO: Huh?
DOODLE: Umm– That sounded a bit scratchy.
DO [WEAKLY]: We've been practicing so hard all day, it's given me a sore throat. If I sing a song like this, it's all over.
[COUGHS]
DO [WEAKLY]: You'll have to go ahead and sing...
[GASPS]
DO [WEAKLY]: without me.
[ALL GASP]
DESCRIPTION: Do hops off the branch and gestures to a poster.
DO [WEAKLY]: Singing was all I could do, but now, there's nothing else for me. Four years old and I'll never sing again.
DOODLE: But I'm sure there's lots of other things you can do.
ODO: Things that aren't even singing.
CANARY: Aren't singing?
DOODLE: We'll find something else you'll be brilliant at. I know we can!
DESCRIPTION: Later, Odo, Doodle, and Do pull a wagon over to some trees. Doodle reads the list Camp Leader gave to them.
ODO: We have a whole long list of special things to do from Camp Leader. I'm sure you'll be great at any of them.
DOODLE: Our first job is to collect apples.
DESCRIPTION: Doodle stands on Odo’s shoulders to reach some high-up branches. They put the apples in the basket.
ODO: Now, you try, Do.
DESCRIPTION: Do flies up to the trees and picks some fruit. They accidentally pick lemons! Do bites into one of the lemons.
[GRUNTING]
ODO: Do, wait, that's a lemon!
DESCRIPTION: Do grimaces.
[GROANS]
DO: That's sour!
[SPUTTERING]
ODO: Maybe fruit-picking isn't Do's new natural talent.
DESCRIPTION: Later, Odo, Doodle, and Do walk over a collection of beehives, where Inspector Feathers, a bald eagle who wears glasses, is jarring honey.
ODO: I'm sure you'll have more luck with the next thing on Camp Leader's list, Do. Honey collecting!
INSPECTOR FEATHERS: You're in luck. I'm just sorting out some jars of honey for my honey pantry.
ODO: Great, Inspector Feathers.
DESCRIPTION: Inspector Feathers opens a tap on the beehive, and honey pours out into the jar.
FEATHERS: Go ahead, Odo. Help yourself.
ODO: Wow.
DESCRIPTION: Doodle and Odo cap the jar.
INSPECTOR FEATHERS: Would you like to help, Do?
DO: Huh?
DESCRIPTION: Do picks up a glass jar and flies it over to the beehives. Suddenly, they drop the jar.
[GRUNTING, GROANING]
DESCRIPTION: The jar falls to the ground and rolls into a stack of other jars. They roll and knock into a beehive.
ALL: Oh!
DESCRIPTION: The beehive buzzes and shakes back and forth. Then, all of the beehives start to buzz and shake.
[BEES BUZZING]
INSPECTOR FEATHERS: It'll be fine. Just remember to keep calm and– Run away!
DESCRIPTION: They all run away from the beehives.
[ALL SCREAMING]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Odo, Doodle, and Do sit together and read through the checklist.
ODO: Well, there is one more job left.
[DO COUGHING]
ODO: Make Camp Leader a cup of tea. I know you can do it, Do. But you might need some help. And I know just the bird.
DESCRIPTION: Over by a bush, Pigeon Post is sleeping.
[SNORING]
PIGEON POST: Hundred.... Don't mind if I do.
ODO: Pigeon Post!
[GASPS AWAKE]
PIGEON POST: Odo! I was just dreaming of the perfect biscuit to dunk into the loveliest cup of tea.
ODO: Can you teach Do how to make the loveliest cup of tea in the whole forest?
PIGEON POST: It would be an honor.
DESCRIPTION: Odo, Doodle, Do sit at a wooden table across from Pigeon Post. He has a wagon full of mugs, spoons, and tea.
PIGEON POST: To create the perfect cuppa, you need the finest cup,
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post puts down a yellow mug.
PIGEON POST: the exact quantity of tea leaves,
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post fills the mug with hot water, then adds tea leaves.
PIGEON POST: left to brew for just the right amount of time, perfect number of stirs....
DESCRIPTION: He stirs the tea.
ALL: One, two, three.
PIGEON POST: Blow gently across the surface, and....
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post takes a big sip of his tea.
[SIGHS]
[CHUCKLES]
PIGEON POST: Always let a grown-up pour the water for you.
ODO: Mm-hm.
DESCRIPTION: Soon after, Do, Odo, and Doodle each have a tea set in front of them. Each has a mug, a container of tea, an acorn, and a spoon. Pigeon Post pours hot water into each mug.
ALL: Cup. Tea leaves, brew.
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle take small pinches of tea and stir.
BOTH: Stir.
DESCRIPTION: Do furrows their brow and pours in the whole container of tea. They frantically look around.
[GASPS]
DO: What was it, again?
[GROANING]
PIGEON POST: Odo and Doodle, splendid efforts. Those are very professional-looking cups of tea.
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post takes a sip of both Odo and Doodle’s cups of tea with a smile.
PIGEON POST: Top marks, Odo and Doodle. And Do?
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post looks over to Do, where Do is frantically stirring a cup of tea that is filled to the brim with honey and lemon.
PIGEON POST: Oh, my. Quite an un-tealike aroma. You know, I think I've had enough tea today, actually.
DO: Oh, I panicked. I put in the nearest things I could find.
[GASPS]
DO: Maybe if I blow on it to cool it down.
[SLURPS, GROANS]
DO: Tastes nothing like tea.
[COUGHS]
DESCRIPTION: After Do takes a drink of their tea, their regular voice slowly returns.
DO: Oh, no. It's all sweet and lemony...
[GASPS]
DO [NORMAL VOICE]: ...and honey. What a disaster. What a failure!
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle smile at Do.
DOODLE: Do, your voice. It's back.
DO: It is? It is! My sore throat has gone.
DESCRIPTION: Pigeon Post picks up Do’s cup of tea and takes a sip. He smiles brightly.
PIGEON POST: Goodness, delicious. And rather soothing.
ODO: You've invented a cure for sore throats.
DOODLE: Mmm. We knew you had hidden talents.
DESCRIPTION: Do flies into the air and sings.
DO: Uh-huh. And I can sing!
DO [SINGS]: Whoo-oooh-oooh
DOODLE: Now, you can sing the dawn chorus tomorrow with the Canaries.
DO [GIGGLES]: I can!
DESCRIPTION: The next day, the Canaries sing together in front of a crowd of the other birds. Pigeon Post and Camp Leader drink lemon-honey tea.
[THE CANARIES HARMONIZING]
PIGEON POST: Perfect start to the day, this.
[CHUCKLES]
CAMP LEADER: Oh, yes. Especially with this sweet honey and lemon tea.
[SLURPS]
