Eventually they figure out a way to communicate, Minty steering the Bokchoydactyl by pulling its ears/leaves... and slowly Minty starts to recognise familiar parts of the valley below. Meanwhile Ginger does likewise, enlisting the adult Bok to help her fly too. Ginger however isn't a natural in the air and has a few falls and near misses... but when she finally gets the hang of it, she's struck by the majesty of the valley below. Ginger and Minty ultimately find each other, the Baby Bok flying too hard/enthusiastically and colliding with its mother, sending Ginger and Minty tumbling... back to home base as the Bokchoydactyls fly off happily.
