In an animation, Pirouette holds the handles of a wheelbarrow in the garden. Willy puts peas in the wheelbarrow.

Lila narrates, WILLY AND PIROUETTE WERE PICKING VEGETABLES IN THE GARDEN.

Willy says, I'LL GO FIND A BUCKET TO STORE ALL OUR LITTLE PEAS.

[Tapping, door creaking, slamming, clattering, crashing]

Willy and Pirouette walk to a shed, and Willy goes inside.

Willy says, OH SWEET TINY...OUCH! IT'S A REAL MESS IN HERE! OW!

Pirouette asks, ANY LUCK, GRAMPA WILLY?

Willy replies, NO, NOT YET, THERE'S TOO MUCH STUFF IN HERE, IT'S SO...

[Crashing]

Willy shouts, OWW! OWW! OWW!

[Mooing, slide whistle]

On a hilltop, Hildegarde jumps. In the garden, the shed door opens, and Willy bounces out, knocking over the wheelbarrow.

Willy says, WHOA! OH...

[Willy groaning, Pirouette laughing]

Pirouette says, GRAMPA WILLY!

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]

Willy sits up with the wheelbarrow on his head and a pea in each ear.

Pirouette asks, SHALL WE WATER THE VEGGIES?

[Bright music notes play]

Willy replies, WHAT?! NO, NO! LET'S GO WATER THE VEGGIES INSTEAD!

Pirouette says, UH...THAT'S WHAT I SAID!

[Soft music plays]

Pirouette pushes Willy in the wheelbarrow with the peas still in his ears. A jingle bell lies between two pumpkins.

Willy says, WE HAVE TO WATER THE CABBAGES... THE LETTUCE... THE... WHOA! WHAT IS THIS STRANGE WOWIE THINGY?!

[Chiming, jingling, upbeat music notes play]

Willy and Pirouette look at the bell. He picks it up and shakes it.

[Jingling]

Pirouette shakes the bell.

Pirouette says, OH... WOWIE, AND IT MAKES A LOVELY SOUND!

[Bright music notes play]

Willy says, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! IT WILL BE DELICIOUS IN A SOUP!

Choochoo says, OOH-LALA, PIROUETTE, STOP IT! LET ME NAP!

Pirouette says, SORRY, CHOOCHOO! GO ON, FALL ASLEEP, I WON'T BOTHER YOU. I'M JUST GONNA MAKE SOME CALMING MUSIC WITH THIS PUMPKIN TO SOOTHE YOU!

[Bell jingling]

Pirouette stands on the headboard of Choochoo’s bed.

Choochoo says, OH, PLEASE, PIROUETTE!

Pirouette says, HANG ON... I'M GONNA GO GET YOUR SOFT BLANKIE. THAT'LL MAKE YOU REALLY, REALLY COMFY!

[Bell jingling, serious music plays]

Pirouette drops the bell on Choochoo and runs from the room. Choochoo stares at the bell and then picks it up.

Choochoo says, I THINK I AM GOING TO HIDE YOU SOMEWHERE MY SISTER CANNOT FIND YOU!

[Bell jingling, rustling, boinging]

Choochoo takes the bell and leaves the house. Pirouette returns with the blanket. She runs outside.

Pirouette says, CHOOCHOO?! WAIT, CHOOCHOO! GIVE ME BACK MY PUMPKIN! IT'S NOT EVEN MINE!

[Bell jingling]

Choochoo says, OKAY, IN YOU GO!

[Bell jingling]

Choochoo throws the bell into the garden. It falls into a hole and bounces back to Willy’s tomato plants through a tunnel.

By the shed, Willy says, PIROUETTE! THE PUMPKIN POT'S READY! PIROUETTE?

[Footsteps rustling]

Willy walks to the pumpkin patch.

Willy says, HMM... WHERE DID SHE PUT THAT PUMPKIN?

[Dramatic music plays, bell jingling]

Willy pushes his hat to the side and scratches his head. The bell rolls off a tomato plant and lands on Willy’s head. He pushes his hat back into place.

Willy says, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE RUN OFF WITH IT WITHOUT TELLING ME!

[Bell jingling, footsteps rustling]

Willy leaves the pumpkin patch.

[Yawning, gentle music plays]

In his yard, Choochoo sits beneath a tree.

Choochoo says, I CAN FINALLY FINISH MY DREAM...

[Snoring, upbeat music plays, slide whistle, boinging]

Choochoo sleeps on the grass. On a farm, Pirouette lifts a hay bale and looks beneath it.

Pirouette says, HI, HILDEGARDE!

[Hildegarde mooing]

Farmer Frizzle stands up beneath Hildegarde.

Farmer Frizzle says, HOWDY, PIROUETTE!

Pirouette says, HI, FARMER FRIZZLE! HAVE YOU SEEN CHOOCHOO?

Farmer Frizzle says, NO. I'M LOOKING FOR HILDEGARDE'S BELL. SHE LOST IT.

[Popping, mooing, country music plays]

Farmer Frizzle puts Hildegarde on the ground.

Pirouette says, OH, I CAN HELP YOU FIND IT IF YOU'D LIKE! AND MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME FIND MY BROTHER?

Farmer Frizzle says, BRILLIANT IDEA! LET'S DO IT!

[Mooing, upbeat music plays, bell jingling]

In a carrot patch, Willy stands on a giant carrot.

Willy says, IT'S NOT IN THE CARROTS...

[Bell jingling]

Willy says, WHERE COULD IT BE? OH! MAYBE WITH MY ZUCCHINIS...

[Bell jingling]

Choochoo wakes up.

Choochoo says, AH... STOP IT, PLEASE... STOP... HUH?! OOH-LALA! THAT NOISE AGAIN!?

[Rustling, tense music plays]

Choochoo walks into the carrot patch.

In the garden, Willy says, SWEET BALL OF YARN! WHERE IS IT!?

[Bell jingling, gentle music plays, slide whistles]

Willy walks around the garden. Choochoo jumps onto a tomato plant and looks around. Willy searches behind carrots, and Choochoo follows behind him. They both lift vegetables and look beneath them. Choochoo finds Willy and walks in a circle around him. He gently pushes him, and Willy wobbles.

Choochoo says, AH-HA!

[Popping]

Choochoo lifts Willy’s hat and reveals the bell.

Choochoo says, FOUND IT!

[Triumphant music notes play, bell jingling]

Willy takes the bell off his head.

Willy says, MY PUMPKIN! OH, YOU FOUND IT, CHOOCHOO! THANK YOU! HO-HO! TIME FOR YUMMY SOUP!

Choochoo says, AS FOR ME, NAP TIME!

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

Willy and Choochoo walk away in separate directions. Pirouette, Farmer Frizzle and Hildegarde leave the farm and stand in a field.

Farmer Frizzle says, WHENEVER I LOSE SOMETHING, I ALWAYS RETRACE MY STEPS TO TRY TO FIND IT! I'M GIVING HER THIS FAKE BELL TO MAKE HER FEEL LIKE EVERYTHING IS NORMAL, THEN SHE'LL RETRACE HER STEPS.

[Popping, mooing, footsteps rustling]

Farmer Frizzle puts the fake bell on Hildegarde’s head. She and Pirouette follow Hildegarde to tall flowers.

Farmer Frizzle says, THIS IS WHERE HILDEGARDE WOKE UP THIS MORNING.

Pirouette says, OH... AND WHERE DID YOU GO AFTER THAT, HILDEGARDE?

[Rustling, gentle music notes play]

Hildegarde eats grass.

Farmer Frizzle says, YEAH, WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT. SHE WON'T MOVE UNTIL SHE'S DONE EATING...

They walk to the top of a hill.

Farmer Frizzle says, AFTER THAT, WE CAME TO THE TOP OF THIS HILL.

[Boinging, mooing]

Pirouette says, OH... AND WHAT DID YOU DO THEN?

Farmer Frizzle says, HILDEGARDE ATE AGAIN.

[Duck quacking, footsteps rustling, upbeat music softly plays]

Pirouette, Hildegarde, and Farmer Frizzle walk to a stream.

Pirouette says, UGH... DID SHE COME HERE TO EAT AGAIN?

Farmer Frizzle says, OH NO! SHE CAME HERE TO DRINK!

They walk to the top of another hill.

Farmer Frizzle says, THIS IS WHERE WE HEARD THAT REALLY LOUD NOISE.

[Farmer Frizzle clearing her throat]

Farmer Frizzle says, OW! SWEET BALL OF...

[Mooing, gasping, lively music plays, rustling, chiming, footsteps rustling, Pirouette chuckling]

Hildegarde jumps, and the fake bell rolls down the hill. Pirouette chases it through a forest, past houses, and into the pumpkin patch in the garden.

Pirouette says, GOT IT! GRAMPA WILLY'S PUMPKIN IS ACTUALLY HILDEGARDE'S COWBELL! GRAMPA!

[Bell jingling, soup splashing, sniffing]

Willy stirs his soup.

Willy says, MMM... THIS PUMPKIN DOESN'T SMELL MUCH LIKE A PUMPKIN...

[Tense music plays]

Pirouette says, GRAMPA WILLY! I TOOK YOUR PUMPKIN TO SHOW IT TO CHOOCHOO, BUT THEN I LOST IT, AND THEN I REALIZED IT WASN'T A PUMPKIN, AND NOW YOU'RE COOKING IT TO MAKE A SOUP, BUT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE IT'S A BELL! A COW'S BELL!

[Bell jingling]

Willy says, OH, THAT'S NICE, DEAR!

Pirouette says, SO, YOU STILL CAN'T HEAR VERY WELL?

[Slurping, lips smacking]

Willy sips the soup.

Willy says, CALAMITOUS CAULDRON! THIS SOUP TASTES A LOT LIKE HOT WATER AND... COW!

[Bell jingling]

Willy lifts the bell on his spoon as Farmer Frizzle and Hildegarde arrive.

Farmer Frizzle says, MY COWBELL! OH! IT'S NICE AND WARM. THANK YOU, WILLY!

[Bell jingling]

Farmer Frizzle puts the bell on Hildegarde’s head.

Farmer Frizzle says, OH, PIROUETTE, I SAW YOUR BROTHER! HE WAS TAKING A NAP IN THAT FIELD OVER THERE.

Pirouette says, OH, GREAT! THANKS!

[Boinging, rustling]

Pirouette bounces past Farmer Frizzle and Hildegarde. Willy frowns and touches the peas in his ears.

Farmer Frizzle says, ARE YOUR EARS TICKLY, WILLY?

Willy says, NO, NO. IT'S JUST THAT MY EARS ARE VERY TICKLY...

[Creaking, popping, triumphant music notes play]

Farmer Frizzle takes the peas out of Willy’s ears.

Willy says, WOO HOO! MY TINY PEAS! THANK YOU, FARMER FRIZZLE! I'LL MAKE A DELICIOUS SOUP WITH THESE INSTEAD!

[Upbeat music plays, soup splashing]

Willy stirs his soup.

Farmer Frizzle says, YOU COMING, HILDEGARDE? LET'S GO FIND CHOOCHOO AND PIROUETTE. I'M SURE CHOOCHOO WILL LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL BELL!

[Scraping, rustling, upbeat music plays]

In the playroom, the red curtains on the cardboard theatre close. Lila and Marco move the theatre, and Marco picks up the bell.

In the playroom, Lila says, I HAVE A FEELING THAT WILLY'S NEW SOUP WON'T TASTE GREAT EITHER...

[Jingling]

Marco says, MUSTACHE'S BELL WAS A GREAT WOWIEWOO, LILA, BUT YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME YOU'D FOUND IT. I LOOKED EVERYWHERE...

[Bell jingling]

Lila flicks the bell.

Lila says, WELL, MARCO, SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO OPEN YOUR EARS TO SEE SOMETHING!

[Giggling]
