[Rustle, the music stops]

[Slurp, light music plays]

CHOOCHOO: Grampa Willy! We would like another strawberry, please.

WILLY: Well, I don't have any more strawberries, I'm afraid. I gave you my last one.

BEEBEE: What?!

[Tense music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee falls on the ground, and Choochoo squeezes his eyes shut.

CHOOCHOO: Ooh-lala, ooh-lala, we really wanted more! Oh, oh, oh...

[Light music notes play]

WILLY: Sweet tiny berry, calm down! There must surely be some wild strawberries in the woods.

CHOOCHOO: Uh, in the woods?

WILLY: Yes. Wild Woodland strawberries. Oh! Maybe next to that famous mushroom patch I showed you, Beebee.

BEEBEE: Oh yes! I remember! Hurry, Choochoo, let's go right away! Thanks, Grampa!

[Upbeat music plays, slide whistle]

CHOOCHOO: Like these?

BEEBEE: Whoa!

[Tense music plays]

CHOOCHOO: Pretty please, Beebee, I want to leave!

BEEBEE: Oh, okay, let's go!

[Footsteps rustle, upbeat music plays]

[The music stops]

BEEBEE: It's not fair. These bunnies are gonna eat all our strawberries...

DESCRIPTION: A flower has a red building brick on top. The brick is one brick wide on the top and three bricks wide on the bottom.

CHOOCHOO: Oh! What is this strange Wowie thingy?

[Chime]

BEEBEE: Well... It's... a flower! Hello, Miss Flower, ma'am!

[Rustle, light music plays]

CHOOCHOO: Ooh-lala! That is not a flower at all!

BEEBEE: Hmm...

[Strawberries thump, rustle, light music notes play, jumps boing]

CHOOCHOO: I will sort our strawberries out! One strawberry on rainy days... Two strawberries on days where we are a little sleepy... No strawberries on days when your Gramma bakes us apple pies... And one-half berry when we make a mistake, but it was not really our fault...

[Strawberry squelches, Choochoo grunts, Wowie woo scrapes]

[The music stops]

BEEBEE: While you're doing that, I'm gonna see if I can find something else to put in our stash!

BEEBEE: Woo!

[Giggles, dramatic music plays, thump, rustle]

BEEBEE: Oh! Whoa, it's all red in here! Like in Grampa's hat...

[Plants rustle, upbeat music plays, thud]

BEEBEE: Oof! Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you. Hey! I said sorry!

[Rustle, thud]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee narrows his eyes and climbs up onto the Wowie woo.

BEEBEE: Yoohoo! Can you hear me?

DESCRIPTION: A Woolly with a brown beard and a blue hat arrives.

BEARDED WOOLLY: Good day, Beebee! Talkin' to my scarecrow? Heh!

BEEBEE: Scarecrow?! What's that?

BEARDED WOOLLY: Well, it's a big doll that scares away birds who want to come and eat the seeds I've planted. Look: there isn't a single bird here!

[Dings, upbeat music plays, whoosh, thump, air blows, Wowie woo scrapes]

BEEBEE: Ah... Hop!

[Drying line rustles, upbeat music plays, Wowie woo scrapes, slide whistle, leaves rustle, tense music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee takes a hat and overalls off a drying line, leaving a pair of underpants. He pushes the Wowie woo to Willy’s secret wool stash and takes wool. In the woods, the bunnies eat strawberries. Beebee rises above the strawberry patch, with the hat and wool on the Wowie woo he wears on his head. He wears the overalls. The bunnies stop eating and back away.

BEEBEE: Boo! I am the scarecrow of the forest! Stop eating the strawberries! Boo! Boo!

[Footsteps patter, the music stops]

DESCRIPTION: The bunnies’ ears shake, and they flee.

BEEBEE: Are you still here? Or did you run away?

[Triumphant music notes play, Beebee laughs]

BEEBEE: I can finally pick my wild strawberries!

[Rustle, slide whistles, happy music plays. thump]

[Pop, tense music plays, footsteps patter]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee pushes the Wowie woo away from the patch, and bunnies pop up and watch. The bunnies run out of the woods. On the hilltop, Choochoo sorts the strawberries into stacks.

[The music stops]

CHOOCHOO: Two berries... No, three berries on days where I did not get a nap...

[Rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee pushes the Wowie woo to the top of the hill.

BEEBEE: Choochoo! Choochoo! Our stash is full!

CHOOCHOO: Ooh-lala, Beebee, how did you do it?

[Light music plays]

BEEBEE: I scared off the bunnies so I could pick all the berries I wanted.

[Slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee lies on the strawberries, opens his mouth, and throws a berry up in the air. Choochoo catches the strawberry and puts it on the pile. Beebee stands with narrowed eyes.

[The music stops]

CHOOCHOO: No, Beebee! We cannot eat them right away!

[Strawberries whoosh, light music plays, knitting needles click, footsteps patter]

CHOOCHOO: I am going to knit a nice little lid to protect our stash. That way, we will have strawberries for a very long time!

[Wowie woo scrapes, upbeat music plays, both grunt, whack, thuds]

DESCRIPTION: They push the Wowie woo down the hill and onto the path. The Wowie woo bumps into Willy’s wheelbarrow. Willy takes a radish out of his wheelbarrow and shows it to Choochoo and Beebee.

[The music stops]

WILLY: Oh! There you are! Just look at this radish! Do you notice these tiny teeth marks?

[Tense music notes play]

CHOOCHOO: Ooh-lala, yes! Those look exactly like bunny teeth marks!

[Birds chirp, light music plays]

WILLY: They came all the way to my garden to take a bite out of my veggies! They've nibbled a bunch of them! My adorably tender cabbages, my super crunchy carrots, and my tiny succulent peas. Hmm...They probably have nothing left to eat in the forest...Oh! Sweet tiny wheel, I'm going to have to sort through all of the vegetables they've nibbled now!

[Footsteps patter]

DESCRIPTION: Willy pushes the wheelbarrow away.

CHOOCHOO: I am sort of good at sorting, Grampa Willy. I can help! Ooh-lala, they did not get to the broccoli, I hope!

[Footsteps patter, the music stops]

DESCRIPTION: Choochoo follows Willy.

BEEBEE: The bunnies didn't eat everything in the forest. I'm the one who took all the berries...

[Lively music plays]

BEEBEE: Hey, you bunnies! Hello! I'm returning all my berries! I mean, your berries!

[Wowie woo rustles, footsteps patter, yarn rustles, upbeat music plays, footsteps patter]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee pushes the Wowie woo to a clearing and takes out a strawberry. He carries it through the woods to a pile of napping bunnies. Beebee unravels the yarn on the strawberry and leaves a long trail leading to the Wowie woo. The bunnies follow, eating the trail.

BEEBEE: Oh! Hello there. Hey, I'll make you a little path and I will lead you right to the strawberries! But you have to make sure that you don't eat them all at once, okay? You have to do like Choochoo! One berry when you are nice, no berries when you nibble Grampa's vegetables, two berries when...

[The music stops, footsteps patter]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee and the bunnies arrive at the Wowie woo.

BEEBEE: This is for you and your friends. But don't come back to nibble on Grampa's veggies, okay?

[Light music plays, blanket rustles, slide whistle, footsteps patter]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee pulls the blanket off the Wowie woo, revealing the strawberry pile. The bunnies carry away the Wowie woo, and a bunny gives Beebee a strawberry.

BEEBEE: For me?!

[Upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee waves to the bunnies.

LILA NARRATES: Beebee was very nice to the bunnies... but he wasn't very good at saving strawberries...

BEEBEE: I could keep it, start a new stash and put it inside...

[Slurps, slide whistle]

DESCRIPTION: Beebee eats the strawberry.

BEEBEE: Mmm!

[Curtains rustle, theatre thuds]

DESCRIPTION: The theatre curtains close. In the playroom, Marco and Lily put the theatre beside a wall.

MARCO: Well, okay, Lila, I can lend you some.

[Marbles rumble]

DESCRIPTION: Marco rolls marbles to Lila.

LILA: I'm really good, you'll see. I'm going to win all your marbles!

[Marbles clatter]

DESCRIPTION: Lila flicks a marble, and the marbles roll off the flower drawing. She collects the marbles.

MARCO: Hey! No! You need to leave me some!

[Lila giggles]

LILA: Of course, don't worry, I'll lend you as many as you want!

[Lila giggles, marble clatters]
