On the playroom floor, Marco and Lila kneel in front of a cardboard theatre, with red curtains and Woollys drawn on it in crayon. On the blue wall behind the theatre is a sun, clouds, and a tree made out of clay. Between Lila and Marco are three figurines set up on a racetrack. They are yellow, green, and red.
Lila says, SO, WHAT COLOR DO YOU WANT TO CHOOSE, MARCO?
Marco says, PFFF, I DON'T KNOW…
Lila holds out two marbles.
Lila says, AND WHICH MARBLE DO YOU WANT?
Marco says, UM, I DON'T KNOW...
Lila says, HEY, I KNOW! WHY DON'T WE ASK THE WOOLLYS FOR HELP?
Lila clears away the figurines and the racetrack, and Marco places the Woollys in a pile.
Marco says, YES! OKAY! WE'LL NEED WILLY, JOSIE, AUNTIE FROGGIE…
Lila adds to the pile. She sets down more Woollys and a red spinning top.
Lila says, FARMER FRIZZLE, TWO WOONICORNS AND THE WOWIEWOO.
Marco says, TO MAKE OUR ADVENTURE MORE... WOO!
Lila and Marco take the cardboard theatre and set it onto the pile. The red curtains open and transport the Woollys into Woollywood, an imaginary, whimsical world made of wool. On top of rolling green hills sits Claudine, the Treehouse. In the background is a bright blue sky with a yellow sun.
Lila says, IT WAS A LOVELY MORNING AND CLAUDINE HAD A LITTLE PROBLEM.
Three blue birds and three pink squirrels are sitting on Claudine’s leafy nose.
Claudine says, OF COURSE, I ENJOY HAVING YOU IN MY FOLIAGE. I'M JUST ASKING THAT YOU NOT SCAMPER ABOUT SO MUCH…
[Claudine yawns]
Claudine says, I NEED TO GET MY SLEEP.
A distant voice yells, CLAUDINE! CLAUDINE!
Claudine says, BECAUSE IF I DON'T, I'LL BE EXHAUSTED ALL DAY LONG…
[Loud knocking echoes]
A distant voice yells, SWEET SASSY STRING! CLAUDINE, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!
Claudine says, AND WHEN I'M TIRED, I EVEN START HEARING VOICES?!
A distant voice yells, CLAUDINE! NO CLAUDINE, IT'S ME, WILLY!
Claudine says, WILLY?
Willy says, COULD YOU OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE AND THANK YOU?!
Claudine scrunches her eyes and opens her side door. Willy comes rolling out onto the grassy hill.
Willy says, SWEET… AH! OH!
Claudine says, THERE'S NO NEED TO BANG ON MY DOOR, WILLY. I CAN HEAR YOU!
Willy says, HUH? YES, SO SORRY, CLAUDINE. IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR ME, I'M OFF FISHING.
Willy runs off.
Claudine says, FISHING? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GARDENING THIS MORNING.
Willy runs back to Claudine.
Willy says, OH! YES, YES, OF COURSE, OF COURSE… I'LL BE IN MY GARDEN THEN.
Willy runs off again.
Claudine says, SO YOU ARE NOT GOING FISHING?
Willy runs back, with his hands on his temples and his eyes scrunched.
Willy says, MMM… YES, YOU'RE RIGHT I'LL GO FISHING. I DESERVE A LITTLE BREAK.
Claudine says, I GUESS WE WON'T HAVE ANY VEGETABLES FOR LUNCH.
Willy says, SWEET SASSY STRING, YOU'RE RIGHT! OH MY, I CAN'T SEEM TO MAKE UP MY MIND THIS MORNING!
In the garden, Willy runs around his crops.
Willy says, FIRST I'LL DO SOME GARDENING AND THEN, I'LL GO FISHING. BY GOLLY! MY CLIMBING MELONS HAVE CLIMBED RATHER STRANGELY. I'D SAY IT'S TIME TO HARVEST THEM.
The green, striped climbing melons are up in the air. Willy grabs his ladder, which is beside a patch of green peas.
Willy says, OH… I'D BETTER ALSO HARVEST MY GREEN PEAS… I'LL GO THERE FIRST.OH... NO. I'LL GO TO MY MELONS FIRST. I WOULDN'T WANT THEM TO FALL ON MY HEAD.
Willy holds his temples and scrunches his eyes.
[Willy moans]
Willy says, HMM… FISHING OR GARDENING? PICKING PEAS OR MELONS? OH, SWEET TINY WOOLLY! I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND ABOUT ANYTHING TODAY!
Suddenly, a red spinning top spins into Willy’s garden. He jumps aboard it and begins spinning in fast circles.
Willy says, WOAH! SWEET SASSY STRING, WHAT IS THAT WOWIE THINGY?!
Willy falls off the red spinning top and into the patch of green peas.
Willy says, OUCH! MMM… INTRIGUING! REALLY QUITE INTRIGUING! COULD THIS THINGY BE TELLING ME TO PICK MY PEAS FIRST?
Later in the day, Willy pushes a wheelbarrow filled with green peas. Josie walks by him.
Josie says, OH WILLY?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? I THOUGHT YOU HAD GONE FISHING!
Willy rubs his head and says, YES… WELL, YOU SEE, THAT IS TO SAY THAT...
Josie smiles brightly and says, OH, YOU PICKED TINY GREEN PEAS FOR ME? THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! THANK YOU!
Josie takes the wheelbarrow and runs off. Willy returns to the red spinning top.
Willy says, HOHO! IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HELPED ME TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE!
Back at the grassy hills, Claudine frowns and speaks to the blue birds and pink squirrels. The squirrels sit on one side of her head, and the birds on the other.
Claudine says, YOU UNDERSTAND THIS CANNOT GO ON!
Willy rolls the red spinning top past Claudine.
Willy says, IS THERE A PROBLEM, CLAUDINE?
Claudine says, UH, I'M EXPLAINING TO MY TINY FRIENDS THAT I CANNOT WELCOME THEM ALL INTO MY FOLIAGE. IT WILL HAVE TO BE EITHER SQUIRRELS OR BIRDS. BUT THEY'RE ALL SO ADORABLE, I CAN'T DECIDE WHO...
Willy says, CLAUDINE, LET MY TRUSTY SPIN-PICKER CHOOSE FOR YOU!
Claudine says, YOUR SPIN-PICKER?
Willy says, YES! I'LL SHOW YOU! HOP!
Willy jumps aboard the red spinning top and begins to spin. The top finishes spinning on the bird’s side.
Willy says, THE BIRDS GET TO STAY! AS FOR YOU, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER TREES WHERE YOU'LL BE WELCOME!
The birds fly and land on Claudine’s head, and the squirrels run off to another tree.
[Willy chuckles]
Claudine smiles and says, AH… THANK YOU, WILLY! NOW THINGS WILL BE A LITTLE CALMER AROUND HERE.
[Claudine sighs]
Willy says, OH! LET'S SEE IF MY SPIN-PICKER CAN HELP ANYONE ELSE!
Later in the day, two Woonicorns fly through a grassy field. One Woonicorn has a blue horn and tail, and the second Woonicorn has a green horn and tail.
The blue Woonicorn says, HAHA! I'M TELLING YOU, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE HOW AWESOME THIS PLACE IS! THERE ARE FLOWERS, CUTE ANIMALS AND JUICY BERRIES…
The green Woonicorn sniffs the air, then sticks his whole head into a yellow flower. The blue Woonicorn keeps flying.
The blue Woonicorn says, DID I MENTION THERE WERE FLOWERS? OH! AND BIRDS, AND HEDGEHOGS, AND GRASS, BUT REALLY GREEN GRASS…
The blue Woonicorn is now at the left-hand fork in the path. The green Woonicorn lifts his head out of the flower and scrunches his nose.
[The green Woonicorn sneezes]
When the green Woonicorn looks around, his friend is nowhere to be seen. He stops at the fork in the path and looks around.
The green Woonicorn says, VIRGINIA! VIRGINIA? VIRGINIA, WHERE ARE YOU?
Willy walks down the path, pushing along his red spinning top.
[Willy hums]
Willy says, OH! HELLO, GERALD! IS SOMETHING WRONG?
Gerald, the green Woolicorn says, IT'S VIRGINIA. SHE TOOK ONE OF THESE PATHS BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE...
Willy says, WELL THEN, I'VE SHOWN UP AT JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT! MY SPIN-PICKER WILL SHOW YOU THE RIGHT PATH. HOP!
Willy hops onto the red spinning top, which stops spinning on the right-hand fork of the path.
Willy says, YOU SHOULD GO THAT WAY!
Gerald says, WOW! SO BRILLIANT! THANK YOU, LITTLE SPIN-PICKER!
[Willy chuckles and hums]
Later, in the corn field, Farmer Frizzle speaks to Hildegarde the cow.
Farmer Frizzle says, I'M SORRY, HILDEGARDE, BUT YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE: STRAWBERRY GRASS OR CHOCOLATE GRASS.
Farmer Frizzle points Hildegarde between pink strawberry grass on the left and brown chocolate grass on the right.
[Hildegarde moos]
Willy pops out from some corn and says, WHAT'S THAT I HEAR? DOES SOMEONE HAVE A DIFFICULT CHOICE TO MAKE? HOWDY, FARMER FRIZZLE! HILDEGARDE, SPECULATE NO LONGER! MY SPIN-PICKER WILL CHOOSE FOR YOU! HOP!
Willy hops onto the red spinning top and begins to spin—the top lands on the side of the chocolate grass.
Willy says, LOOKS LIKE DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE GRASS FOR YOU! ENJOY!
[Willy chuckles and hums]
Willy takes the red spinning top and walks away. Hildegarde walks over to the pink strawberry grass and begins to eat it.
[Hildegarde moos]
Farmer Frizzle says, HILDEGARDE, I DON'T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THE SPIN-PICKER WORKS…HAHA!
Later at the frog pond, Willy spins in front of Auntie Froggy on his red spinning top.
Willy says, YOU'LL SEE, AUNTIE, THE SPIN-PICKER ALWAYS MAKES THE RIGHT DECISION!
The top stops and falls to the left-hand side.
Willy says, THERE IT IS! REED TEA FOR YOU!
Auntie Froggy says, MMM… I THINK I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED DANDELION TEA. SPIN THE SPIN-THINGY AGAIN.
Willy hops back onto the red spinning top.
Willy says, HOP!
The red spinning top stops on the right-hand side this time.
Willy says, WELL, LOOKS LIKE THE SPIN-THINGY AGREES WITH YOU, AUNTIE. IT'LL BE DANDELION TEA.
Behind them, Virginia flies by.
Auntie Froggy says, BUT REED TEA IS DELICIOUS… RIBBIT! GIVE THAT SPIN-GADGET ANOTHER SPIN!
Willy says, EH...
Virginia flies down to Auntie Froggy and Willy.
Virginia says, UM, EXCUSE ME? HAVE YOU… SEEN MY PAL GERALD?
Willy says, GERALD? OH, YES, YES… HE WAS LOOKING FOR YOU! I'LL SHOW YOU WHERE HE WENT. UH, AUNTIE, WHY NOT MIX BOTH TEAS?
Willy and Virginia leave the pond.
Auntie Froggy says, MMM, NAH! I THINK I'LL MAKE NETTLE TEA INSTEAD.
Willy and Virginia come to the fork in the road. Willy points to the right-hand side of the road.
Willy says, HE WENT THAT WAY.
Virginia says, OH NO-NO, THAT CAN'T BE!
Willy says, WELL, SURE! WE JUST NEED TO FOLLOW THE PATH TO FIND HIM.
Virginia flies down the path.
In the distance, Virginia says, OH! WOAH! OW!
Virginia flies back to Willy. She is covered in sharp sticks and pine needles.
Virginia says, NAH... I AM NOT GOING THAT WAY. IT'S FULL OF BRAMBLES AND PINE NEEDLES. YOU GO ON AHEAD.
The road ahead is dark, and a large bramble bush looms in the distance.
Willy says, SWEET SASSY STRING, BUT WHY ME?
Virginia says, WELL, BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONE WHO TOLD HIM TO GO THAT WAY!
Willy says, HMM…
Willy puts his head on his head and scrunches his face. Then, Willy takes the red spinning top and rolls it down the road.
Willy says, OH! SWEET PRICKLY SPIKES! IT'S GOING TO BE DIFFICULT FOR ME TO GO ANY FURTHER.
Willy approaches the dark bramble bush, but cannot push the red spinning top through its thick branches.
Willy says to the red spinning top, MAYBE YOU CAN HELP?
Willy gets onto the red spinning top and winds it up tight. When he releases it, he goes flying through the bramble bush.
Willy says, OH!
[Willy chuckles]
Willy flies through cactuses.
Willy flinches and says, SWEET TINY WOOLLY, SOME… OW! PRICKLY CACTI!
And he lands in front of Gerald!
Gerald looks down at Willy and says, OH NO, YOU TOOK THE SAME PATH?! IT WAS THE WRONG CHOICE…
Willy gets up off the ground.
Willy says, I KNOW, I KNOW. I'VE COME HERE LOOKING FOR YOU TO GET YOU BACK ON THE RIGHT PATH.
Gerald says, I DON'T KNOW HOW WE CAN! BECAUSE ON THIS SIDE THERE ARE PRICKLY CACTI AND THAT SIDE HAS THICK KISSY-KISSY MUSHROOMS…
Gerald looks to his left, where there is a thick wall of prickly cacti, and to his right, where there is a wall of red and white mushrooms.
Gerald says, I CAN'T SEEM TO CHOOSE BETWEEN EITHER PATH. I WOULD FLY OUT BUT I CAN'T GET A RUNNING START!
Willy says, AND WHAT IF WE ASKED THE SPIN-PICKER TO HELP US?
Gerald says, OH NO, I DON'T THINK THAT'S A GOOD IDEA.
Willy says, OH! NOT TO CHOOSE, BUT TO HELP YOU TAKE OFF. MAY I CLIMB ON YOUR BACK?
Gerald smiles and says, OF COURSE YOU CAN.
Willy gets onto Gerald’s back.
[Willy grunts]
Willy says, NOW, JUMP UP ON THE HANDLE TO START THE THINGY, AND MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON TOP OF IT.
Gerald jumps onto the top and says, AH!
Gerald begins to wind up the red spinning top, slowly getting higher and higher in the air.
Willy says, GERALD, JUMP ON THE SPIN-PICKER!
Gerald says, NO WAY! IT'LL TOTALLY SEND ME FLYING!
Willy says, OH! THAT'S THE IDEA, MY LAD!
Gerald jumps onto the spin-picker and goes flying through the air!
[Gerald and Willy scream]
With this momentum, Gerald flies on his own, with Willy on his back.
Gerald says, YOUR IDEA TOTALLY WORKED! BUT I DUNNO HOW YOU'LL GET YOUR SPIN-PICKER BACK?
Willy says, I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE, I'LL MAKE MY OWN CHOICES FROM NOW ON!
Gerald and Willy fly over a pink flower field, where Virginia is smelling the flowers. They fly over the pond, where Auntie Froggy is making tea, they fly over Farmer Frizzle and Hindenburg, and Josie with her peas.
Gerald says, SAY, I WAS THINKING OF CHANGING THE COLOR OF MY MANE. WHAT DO YOU THINK: SPARKLY PINK OR GLOW-IN-THE-DARK BLUE?
Willy says, SO SORRY, MY DEAR GERALD, THIS TIME, I'LL LET YOU CHOOSE ON YOUR OWN!
The red curtains close on the cardboard theatre.
Lila says, SO, MARCO, ARE YOU STILL GONNA HAVE TROUBLE CHOOSING WHAT YOU WANT?
Marco says, MMM, NO! NOT AT ALL. BECAUSE I'M CHOOSING TO GO AND HAVE A SNACK!
[Marco laughs]
