Different animal friends cheer and giggle as they build and decorate a world together. They put together a title on a cloud. Giant panda Momolu adds the letter M to the title that reads, TVOKids Presents Momolu And Friends.

Birds chirp as Momolu and his animal friends Nooni the fox, Bani the rabbit, Huhu the owl, Hiko the badger and DJ Bass the Bear wave.

Together they cheer, YAY!

Momolu announces, HIKO'S BOOK BOX.

Hiko collects piece of fire wood outside his house. Momolu grunts as he carries a stack of boxes towards his friend.

Momolu says, OH...

The smaller boxes on the top of the stack start to wobble.

Momolu says, … OH!

Hiko runs up and takes the boxes from Momolu.

Hiko says, OH!
OOH!

He sets the boxes on the ground.

He says, THANKS FOR BRINGING THESE,
MOMOLU.
MY COUSIN JUST SENT ME
SOME BOOKS,
AND I'M RUNNING OUT
OF SHELF SPACE.

Momolu says, REALLY? HOW MANY DID SHE SEND?

Hiko leads Momolu to his house. He opens the front door, revealing a room full of books.

Momolu says, WHOA!

Hiko says, YES.
AND NOW I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT
WHERE TO PUT THEM!

Hiko scratches his head.

He says, YOUR BOXES WILL BE A GREAT HELP.

Momolu says, I'M ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP!

The friends step inside. Momolu nudges some books aside. Hiko grunts as he reaches above him.

He says, UH-HUH! YEP!

Momolu hums. He closes a book and moves a stack with his foot. Hiko moves a box of books.

He says, RIGHT OVER HERE.
OH, THERE'S AN OPEN SPACE.
MM-HMM!

He takes a book out of the box.

Momolu says, IF WE COULD JUST, I THINK...

He frowns.

Hiko says, YES, OF COURSE.

Momolu steps on a book on the floor and slips. The book flies off the ground.

He says, WHOA!

Hiko says, BUT PERHAPS MAYBE...

The book lands on Hiko.

He says, OOF!

Momolu lands in a purple rocking chair.

He says, WHOA!

The rocking chair throws Momolu across the room.

He yells, AH!

Hiko says, WHOA!

Momolu grunts as he crashes onto Hiko. The stacks of books in the room shake. Many fall. One of the stacks of books falls into the open door, closing it. Momolu rises from the pile of books and giggles. An open book rests on his head.

He says, MAYBE WE SHOULD MOVE
SOME OF THE BOXES
TO MAKE MORE SPACE. HIKO?

Momolu looks around for his friend. Hiko grunts as he rises from the pile with books stacked on his head.

He says, YES, OF COURSE!
PERHAPS IF I MOVE THIS ONE…

Hiko knocks the books off his head with a grunt.

He says, …OVER HERE...

He grunts and places a book on a stack.

Hiko says, MM-HMM. AND IF I PLACE THESE TWO
JUST SO...

He moves a box of books and grunts as he pulls another box closer.

Momolu says, HMM?

Hiko pulls another box of books toward him and moves two books to the stack in the box.

He says, YAH!
THERE! THAT'S BETTER, ISN'T IT?

Hiko giggles and claps.

Momolu says, UH, WAIT. I'M CONFUSED.

A black bear wearing a bow tie pops up from behind a pile of books and waves.

(Knocking)

Momolu and Hiko say, HMM?

Outside, Nooni and Banni wait outside Hiko’s house.

Hiko calls, COME IN!

Nooni struggles to open the door. She grunts as she pushes against it.

Banni asks, IS IT STUCK?

Nooni leans against the door.

She says, IT FEELS LIKE IT!

She grunts. Banni tries to help open the door.

Inside, Hiko and Momolu look around.

Hiko says, THE DOOR IS HERE.
I KNOW IT IS!

Outside, Nooni pushes against the door.

Banni says, LET ME HELP.

She pushes against the door with Nooni. Inside, Hiko and Momolu clear the books and boxes blocking the door. Banni and Nooni fall through the door.

They say, WHOA!

Banni giggles. She shakes her ears.

She says, WHOA!
ARE YOU GOING TO READ
ALL OF THESE BOOKS?

Hiko says, I'VE ALREADY READ
MOST OF THEM.
EXCEPT FOR THE ONES
THAT MY COUSIN SENT.

Nooni says, OH! IS THAT WHY YOU'RE
GETTING RID OF THEM?

Hiko says, I AM NOT!
THEY'RE ALL PART
OF MY COLLECTION.
I COULDN'T BEAR THE THOUGHT
OF SAYING GOODBYE
TO ANY OF THEM.

He sighs and hugs a stack of books.

He says, I JUST LOVED READING THEM
ALL SO MUCH.

A book slips out of Hiko’s grasp and he nearly falls.

He says, I HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE
TO SOME OF THEM, DON'T I?

Nooni and Banni say, MM-HMM!

They nod.

Momolu says, THERE ARE SO MANY BOXES
OF BOOKS,
THAT THERE'S NO MORE
SPACE FOR YOU.

Hiko says, HMM, WELL, IT WON'T BE EASY.
EACH BOOK IS SPECIAL TO ME.

He picks up a book.

He says, LIKE THIS ONE! AH...
I REMEMBER THIS
FROM WHEN I WAS A BADGER CUB.
THE MYSTERY
OF THE PAINTED PICKLE!
THAT'S HOW I KNEW I WANTED
TO BE A DETECTIVE!

Momolu says, THAT SOUNDS EXCITING!
DO YOU MIND IF I BORROW IT?

Hiko says, NOT AT ALL!

He hands Momolu the book.

Hiko says, AND THIS ONE WOULD BE PERFECT
FOR KIMU.
THE MYSTERY
OF THE UPSIDE-DOWN CUPCAKE!

Banni flips through a book.

She says, I LIKE THIS ONE.
AND THIS ONE.

She makes a pile of books. Hiko pulls a book out of a box.

He says, AH! HERE'S ANOTHER
GREAT BOOK!
THE MYSTERY
OF THE FLUFFY FOX!

Nooni says, I'LL TAKE IT!
I MEAN, MAY I PLEASE BORROW IT?

Hiko says, CERTAINLY.

He pulls out another book from the box.

He says, AH...
THE MYSTERY
OF THE DRAGON TIGER, PART 1!

Banni says, I LIKE ADVENTURE!
I LIKE DRAGONS!

Hiko says, I NEVER WAS ABLE
TO FIND PART 2.
MAYBE SOMEDAY...

Momolu says, ROLY-POLY PANDAS!
YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY GOODBYE
TO ANY OF YOUR BOOKS!
YOU JUST NEED TO SHARE THEM
WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

Nooni says, YOUR HOUSE COULD BE A LIBRARY
FOR EVERYONE ON ITA ISLAND!

Hiko says, A LIBRARY?

Banni says, UH, IT'S ALREADY CROWDED.
I DON'T THINK WE CAN FIT
ANY MORE IN HERE.

The friends say, HMM...

Hiko scratches his head. Momolu gasps.

He says, THE LIBRARY CAN BE OUTSIDE!

Outside, dark clouds cover the forest around Hiko’s house and thunder rumbles.

Nooni says, UM, BOOKS DON'T REALLY
LIKE RAIN THOUGH, RIGHT?
WON'T THEY GET RUINED?

The friends say, HMM...

Banni says, NOT IF WE MAKE
NEIGHBOURHOOD BOOK BOXES!

Momolu says, MORE BOXES?!

Banni giggles.

She says, NOT THOSE KIND.
BUT THEY WILL KEEP
THE BOOKS DRY. I'LL SHOW YOU.
HMM, WE'LL NEED SOME
WOOD AND PAINT.

Momolu says, COMING RIGHT UP!

The friends with at a table by an outdoor workshop.

Hiko says, SOME GLUE.

He spreads wood glue on a square piece of wood.

Momolu says, MM-HMM.

He glues a second piece of wood to the first.

(Grunting)

Momolu glues more pieces of wood together.

Banni says, HUH! JUST LIKE
YOUR BARN, MOMOLU!

Momolu smiles at their barn shaped book box creation.

He says, MM-HMM!

(Giggling)

Banni pants a boat shaped book box. Momolu paints a strawberry shaped book box.

He says, I LOVE YUMMY STRAWBERRIES!

Nooni giggles as she paints a barn shaped book box.

Hiko says, WE'LL PUT THIS BY THE PORT
TO WELCOME VISITORS!

The group of friends carry their book boxes on posts. Momolu and Hiko stick the post with the boat book box in the ground. They dust off their hands.

Hiko says, AH. THE PERFECT PLACE
FOR THIS BOOK BOX!

He and Momolu leave. Penguin friend Pepe walks up to the book box.

He says, UH-HUH...

He takes a book out and takes a seat on a bench and opens the book.

He says, UH-HUH!

Outside a pink building, Nooni grunts as she jumps on the strawberry book box while Banni holds the post. Nooni slides off the box.

She says, WHOA, WHOA!

Banni says, A SWEET TREAT WHILE
ENJOYING YOUR SWEET EATS!

Nooni and Banni leave. Cat friend Kimu comes out building and gasps. He runs and opens the book box. He takes out a purple book.

He says, WOW!

He giggles and leaves with the book. Elsewhere, Momolu puts the yellow barn shaped box in place with Nooni, Hiko and Banni. DJ Bass and two beaver friends stand on the other side.

Momolu says, MM-HMM!

Nooni says, TAKE A BOOK, LEAVE A BOOK!
A GOOD SHARE TO READ ANYWHERE!

DJ Bass opens the book box. He places books inside.

(Giggling)

DJ Bass takes a book out of the box.

He says, OH!

He leaves with the book. The beavers walk up to the box. Hiko stands with Momolu outside his house.

Hiko says, THIS WAS A WONDERFUL IDEA!
THE BOOK BOXES ARE A SUCCESS,
AND THERE IS ROOM FOR ME AGAIN.

He laughs.

Momolu says, AND IF YOU'RE EVER MISSING
ANY OF YOUR OLD BOOKS,
YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND THEM!

Banni says, HIKO! HIKO! GUESS WHAT
I FOUND IN THE BOOK BOX?

Momolu says, AN EXCITING BOOK TO READ?

Banni says, MM-HMM, BUT NOT JUST
ANY BOOK...

She hands a book with a dragon on the cover to Hiko. Hiko gasps.

He says, THE MYSTERY OF THE DRAGON
TIGER, PART 2?!

Banni says, SOMEBODY SHARED IT!
ISN'T THAT GREAT?

Hiko says, A TRUE WONDER!
AND AS SOON AS I'M DONE,
I'LL PUT IT BACK
SO YOU CAN ENJOY IT TOO!

He takes the book and sits against a flower bed.

Hiko says, AH...

He opens the book.

Nooni says, WHOA, AH! I NEED SOME HELP!

She struggles to balance a stack of books. Some of the books fall and she gasps.

Banni says, I CAN HELP!

She and Momolu collect the fallen books.

Momolu says, YOU LOOK LIKE YOU COULD
USE SOME HELP CARRYING THOSE.

Banni says, IF ONLY YOU HAD A BAG!

Momolu says, OR A BOX!
I KNOW WHERE WE CAN FIND
A LOT OF EMPTY BOXES!

The friends laugh.
