The Mixmups’ Magical Wooden Mixing Spoon bursts out of the Magical Mixing Box.
The Mixmups sing, MIXMUPS, HERE COME THE MIXMUPS! MIXMUPS, MIX-MIX, THE MIXMUPS!
Mixmups friends Pockets, Giggle and Spin smile.
The Mixmups sing, MIXMUPS, HERE COME THE MIXMUPS.
Pockets, a blue bear with red pockets, wears glasses. She is partially sighted and uses a guide dog, Yapette. Spin, a red rabbit, has long ears and antennae on the sides of his head. Giggle, an orange and yellow-striped cat, uses an orange and blue wheelchair. Giggle’s pet guinea pig, Roller Guinea, wears roller boots.
[Chimes]
The Mixmups sing, AH, OOH-OOH-OOH-OOH.
The Mixmups’ magical neighbour, the grey Lucky Loover Bird, blows magic sparkles from her trunky beak down to the Mixmups and lights up their Magical Mixing Spoon.
The Mixmups sing, MIX UP THE MAGIC ONE, TWO, THREE!
The Mixmups mix up toys in their Magical Mixing Box.
The Mixmups sing, MIX IT, TWIRL IT, WHIRL IT, HEY! TIME FOR SOME MAGIC, ADVENTURE AND PLAY. MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, HEY, HEY, HEY!
The Mixmups are sucked into Adventure World in the Magical Mixing Box where they go on different adventures together.
They sing, MIXMUPS, HERE COME THE MIXMUPS! MIXMUPS, MIX-MIX, THE MIXMUPS. MIXMUPS, HERE COME THE MIXMUPS!
The Mixmups explore Adventure World with the Lucky Loover Bird and other fun creatures, including the Moodly Clouds and Wingle creatures.

In the bright blue sky, two Moodly Clouds smile. Wingles fly through Mixington Valley.
[Moodly Clouds humming]
[Wingles chirping]
The Lucky Loover Bird narrates, IN MIXINGTON VALLEY, THE MIXMUPS PLAY. WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WILL THEY MIX UP TODAY?
The Lucky Loover Bird sits on her cupboard tree swing at the top of the hill facing the Mixmups’ house. Text reads, “The Chatty Library. Story by Rebecca Atkinson. Script by Becky Overton.” Inside the Mixmups’ house, Pockets, Giggle and Spin draw on paper at the table. Giggle reads a book. Yapette sleeps at Pockets’ feet, and Roller Guinea lies on the table.
Pockets asks, WHAT ARE YOU READING, GIGGLE?
Giggle says, IT'S A BOOK ABOUT A LITTLE STRIPEY CAT. MEOW!
[Giggle giggling]
Spin says, OH, I'VE DRAWN A STRIPEY BOAT!
Spin holds up his drawing of a sailboat with blue and white stripes on the hull.
Spin says, IF I DO THIS...
Spin draws cat ears and a cat tail on opposite ends of the boat, adding a smile.
Spin says, IT'S A STRIPEY CAT BOAT!
Spin grabs another pencil and says, AND IF I ADD THESE, IT'S A STRIPEY CAT BOAT CAR!
Spin draws wheels on the bottom of the boat.
[Spin imitating an engine revving]
[Spin meowing like a cat]
[Pockets and Giggle laughing]
[Roller Guinea chittering]
Spin asks, SO, WHAT HAPPENS TO THE LITTLE STRIPEY CAT, GIGGLE?
Giggle looks at her book and says, OH, WELL, THE STRIPEY CAT GOES TO A MAGICAL LIBRARY WHERE ALL THE BOOKS CAN TALK!
[Roller Guinea chittering excitedly]
Pockets says, A LIBRARY WHERE THE BOOKS CAN TALK?
Giggle says, YEAH, THEY'RE CHATTY STORYBOOKS.
Pockets says, WOW, I WANNA GO THERE.
Spin says, OH! ME, TOO! I WONDER IF THEY'LL HAVE A STRIPEY BOAT CAT CAR STORY!
Pockets says, YEAH. LET'S MIX UP SOME ADVENTURE AND GO TO A CHATTY LIBRARY!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin cheer, YAY!
On her swing, the Lucky Loover Bird says, OH! TIME TO PLAY!
The Lucky Loover Bird hops off the swing and opens a yellow cupboard in the tree, revealing a pair of black glasses and an open red book.
[Cupboard squeaking]
[Cheerful music plays]
Pockets, Giggle and Spin gather around the Magical Mixing Box.
Giggle says, STORYBOOK.
Giggle drops her book into the Magical Mixing Box.
Spin says, PICTURE.
Spin drops his stripey boat cat car drawing into the Magical Mixing Box.
Pockets says, TALKING.
Into the Magical Mixing Box, Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, CHITTER-CHATTER, CHITTER-CHATTER, CHITTER-CHATTER.
Pockets says, HM, WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED?
The Lucky Loover Bird stands beside her swing and blows magic sparkles from her trunky beak.
[Chimes]
The magic sparkles swirl around Pockets, Giggle and Spin.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, MAGIC SPARKLES!
In Spin’s paw, the Magical Mixing Spoon lights up with magic sparkles.
[Exciting music plays]
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIX UP THE MAGIC ONE, TWO, THREE!
Giggle mixes everything inside the Magical Mixing Box with the Magical Mixing Spoon.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIX UP THE MAGIC, YAHOO, YIPPEE! MIX IT, TWIRL IT, WHIRL IT, HEY! TIME FOR SOME MAGIC, ADVENTURE, AND PLAY!
The magic sucks Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea into the Magical Mixing Box. The Magical Mixing Box disappears.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, YEAH!
Outside the cupboard tree, the Lucky Loover Bird is gone, and her yellow cupboard is empty. In Adventure World, the Magical Mixing Box appears in a space.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, MIX UP THE MAGIC ONE, TWO, THREE, YEAH!
Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea fly out of the Magical Mixing Box with the Magical Mixing Spoon. Giggle catches the spoon, and the box unfolds across the blank open space. Library walls and bookcases full of books pop up. A wall with a book tree appears, and a rug is surrounded by blue, pink, yellow, and purple cushions. Pockets, Giggle and Spin look around with Yapette and Roller Guinea.
[Spin gasping]
[Roller Guinea chittering curiously]
Spin loudly says, WHOA, IT'S VERY QUIET IN HERE!
Two yellow Wingles stand by a bookcase.
The Wingles say, SHH!
The Lucky Loover Bird peeks out from behind a second bookcase. She wears the black glasses from the yellow cupboard and has an open book on her head.
The Lucky Loover Bird whispers, HELLO, BOOKWORMS. ONLY ME.
[Wingles chattering]
The Wingles leave. The Lucky Loover Bird walks over to Pockets, Giggle and Spin with an armful of books.
Pockets says, UM, WHO ARE YOU?
The Lucky Loover Bird whispers, TODAY, I'M MRS. WHISPER, THE LIBRARIAN. SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AFTER ALL THESE BOOKS.
Giggle says, OH! WE'VE COME TO FIND THE BOOKS THAT TALK.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, WELL, YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE, BUT ALL THE BOOKS ARE QUIET RIGHT NOW.
Pockets quietly asks, HOW DO WE MAKE THEM TALK?
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, WE OPEN THEM!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, WOW!
Later in the library, Pockets, Giggle and Spin sit on the cushions on the rug facing Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird, who sits with her back against the book tree on the wall.
[Yapette softly grunting]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird asks, ARE YOU READY FOR THE STORY?
Pockets and Giggle nod. Spin looks around the library.
[Pockets and Giggle giggling]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, THEN LET'S BEGIN.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens a green book.
The green book says, THE LITTLE BEAR WAS WALKING IN THE WOODS, LISTENING TO SOUNDS OF…
Pockets loudly says, OH! IT'S ABOUT A LITTLE BEAR!
The two yellow Wingles say, SHH!
The green book continues, …AND INSECTS CRAWLING. HE WAS A VERY CURIOUS LITTLE BEAR, WHO LOVED TO EXPLORE…
[Green book continuing]
Spin stands and says, AW, IT HASN'T GOT ANY PICTURES IN IT. I'M GOING TO FIND A BOOK WITH PICTURES.
Spin walks away. Pockets and Giggle wave.
The green book says,…HE HEARD A STRANGE SOUND. IT WAS A SQUIRREL JUGGLING ACORNS.
Spin pulls a purple book off a bookshelf. He opens the book.
The purple book says, WHOOSH! THE WHALE DIVED UNDER THE WAVES…
[Purple book continuing]
Spin says, HUH, THERE'S NO PICTURES IN THIS ONE EITHER.
Spin closes the purple book and puts it back on the bookshelf. He walks over to another bookcase.
From far away, the green book says, BARRY BEAR'S FURRY EARS PRICKED UP.
Spin looks around and says, UH, WHAT ABOUT THIS ONE?
Spin pulls a yellow book off a shelf and walks over to a stack of books. He opens the yellow book.
The yellow book says, ROBOT RADJOU SAID HE WOULD NEVER EVER PLAY IN THE RAIN AGAIN.
Spin looks disappointed. He closes the yellow book.
Spin says, AW, STILL NO PICTURES.
Spin tosses the yellow book on the stack of books.
Spin says, I WANT TO SEE A PICTURE OF ROBOT RADJOU.
Spin moves like a robot and says, I AM ROBOT RADJOU. BEEP-BOOP-BOP!
Spin walks over to the book tree. Pockets, Giggle, and Yapette turn to Spin.
The green book says, WOULD YOU LIKE –
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the green book and frowns.
Pockets quietly says, SPIN, SHHH, COME AND LISTEN TO A CHATTY STORY WITH US.
[Spin sighing]
Spin walks over to the stack of books and picks them up.
Spin says, OKAY.
Spin walks over to the reading tree and drops the books beside Giggle and Roller Guinea.
[Thudding]
[Roller Guinea squealing]
Spin rests his head against the stack of books. As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens the green book.
The green book says, THE SQUIRREL HOPPED DOWN FROM THE BRANCH, ACORNS STILL TUMBLING AROUND HIM.
Spin looks distracted. He stands up straight and drums on the yellow book on top of the stack with his paws.
The green book says, I’M PRACTICING MY ACORN TRAINING AND –
Spin opens the yellow book on top of the stack.
[Elephant loudly trumpeting]
[Green book continues]
The yellow book on top of the stack says, THE ELEPHANT FOUND ITS TRUNK TANGLED IN A –
Spin closes the yellow book on the stack and tosses it aside. He opens a blue book.
The blue book says, THREE COWS WENT–
Spin tosses the blue book aside. He opens a red book, tosses it aside, then opens a second green book.
[Books chattering]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird frowns and closes the first green book.
[Books chattering]
Pockets quietly says, SPIN, IT'S TOO LOUD.
[Books chattering]
Spin closes and stacks the open books scattered around him.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, DEARY, DEARY ME. YOU NEED TO OPEN ONE BOOK AT A TIME, OR YOU WON'T HEAR ANY OF THE STORIES.
Spin says, SORRY. IT'S JUST I REALLY WANTED TO SEE IF THERE WERE PICTURES INSIDE.
Giggle says, THEN WHY DON'T WE LOOK AFTER WE'VE LISTENED TO THE STORY?
[Giggle giggling]
Spin says, I KNOW, I'LL SIT ON 'EM, AND THEN I WON'T BE ABLE TO OPEN 'EM!
Spin sits on the stacked books.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, RIGHT. WHERE WERE WE?
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens the first green book.
The first green book says, HIS EARS TWITCHING WITH EXCITEMENT. "OH, YES, IT'S THE GRANDEST EVENT OF THE YEAR.”
Spin taps his feet and paws impatiently. Spin sits against a second stack of books and drums his paws on the first stack.
[Drumming]
The first green book continues, ANIMALS FROM ALL OVER THE FOREST SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the first green book and says, SHH!
Pockets and Giggle also say, SHH!
Spin says, SORRY.
Spin leans against the stack of books behind him. The books fall and tumble open.
[Books loudly chattering]
Pockets and Giggle cover their ears. As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird frowns. Spin quickly closes and stacks the open books. Pockets pets Yapette.
Pockets says, PLEASE STOP TOUCHING ALL THE BOOKS, SPIN.
Spin says, SORRY. I'M JUST NOT VERY GOOD AT SITTING STILL AND LISTENING TO STORIES.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, MM, I WONDER, IS THERE ANOTHER WAY WE COULD HELP SPIN ENJOY THE STORIES IN THE CHATTY LIBRARY?
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, HM.
Thought bubbles show Pockets, Giggle and Spin’s adventure in the library.
Pockets says, WELL, WE SAT DOWN TO LISTEN TO A STORY, BUT SPIN WENT TO LOOK FOR BOOKS WITH PICTURES.
Giggle says, THEN HE OPENED ALL THE CHATTY BOOKS AT THE SAME TIME!
[Giggle giggling]
Giggle says, IT WAS SO NOISY.
Spin says, AND I TRIED SITTING ON THE BOOKS TO STOP ME FROM OPENING THEM, BUT I KEPT FIDGETING. I REALLY WANT TO LISTEN TO THE CHATTY BOOKS, BUT I WANT TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES, TOO.
Spin frowns. He opens a bright yellow book.
Spin says, HUH? THIS BOOK HASN'T GOT ANYTHING IN IT AT ALL! IT'S BLANK!
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird runs and grabs the bright yellow book from Spin.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, SO IT IS! I WONDER WHAT WE CAN DO WITH IT.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird smiles.
[Spin gasping]
Spin says, I KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Elsewhere in the library, Spin lies on his belly with the bright yellow book open on the floor and multiple coloured pencils.
Spin says, THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!
Spin draws on a blank page in the yellow book with a yellow pencil.
Spin says, OOH. NOW, I'LL DO THAT BIT THERE. AND... OH-HO, YEAH! OH, AND THIS COLOUR THERE. I'LL PUT THE TAIL ON.
At the book tree, Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird, holds the bright yellow book.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, THE EPIC ADVENTURE OF THE STRIPEY CAT BOAT, BY SPIN!
Spin stands beside Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin cheer, YAY!
Giggle cheers, WAHOO!
[Wingles cheering]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens Spin’s bright yellow book.
Spin’s book says, ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A STRIPEY CAT BOAT WHO LOVED TO SAIL ON THE SEA.
A drawing of Spin’s blue and white striped cat boat floats out of the book.
[Pockets, Giggle and Spin gasping]
Spin’s book says, ONE DAY, HE WISHED FOR WHEELS SO HE COULD GO ON LAND, PLAY AT THE PARK, AND MAYBE TRY SOME CHEESE ON TOAST.
Wheels appear on the stripey cat boat. Spin spins the boat. Drawings of a swing set, slide, and a slice of cheese on toast float out of the book. Later at the book tree, Spin stands behind Yapette, between Pockets and Giggle.
[Spin clapping]
Spin’s book says, HE HAD THE FUR OF A CAT, THE SHAPE OF A BOAT, AND THE WHIZZY WHEELS OF A CAR.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin watch the stripey cat boat float around the cheese on toast.
Spin’s book says, FROM THAT DAY ON, HE WAS KNOWN AS THE STRIPEY BOAT CAT CAR.
AND THE CHEESE ON TOAST WAS DELICIOUS. I WONDER IF THIS IS WHAT THE MOON TASTES LIKE.
A drawing of the moon floats out of the book.
Spin’s book says, BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. THE END.
The drawings float back into the book. As Mrs. Whispers, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the book.
Pockets cheers, WOO-HOO.
Spin and Giggle cheer, YAY!
Pockets says, YEAH! THAT WAS REALLY GREAT, SPIN.
Spin says, AW, THANKS.
[Spin clapping]
Pockets says, WE DID IT! WE ALL LISTENED TO SPIN'S STORY AT THE CHATTY LIBRARY.
Spin says, I GOT TO PLAY WITH THE STORY, TOO!
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, AS I SAY, THERE'S ALWAYS ANOTHER WAY.
[Poofing]
The Magical Mixing Spoon appears in Pockets’ chest pocket.
Pockets says, OH, TIME FOR HOME.
Pockets takes the Magical Mixing Spoon out of her chest pocket.
[Exciting magical music plays]
The bookcases, cushions and books on the wall disappear from the library. The library's rug and walls collapse and fold into the Magical Mixing Box. The Magical Mixing Spoon flies out of Pockets’ paw, and sprinkles magic sparkles around Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea. The magic sucks them back into the Magical Mixing Box.
As herself, the Lucky Loover Bird waves and says, TOODLE-LOO!
The Magical Mixing Box disappears from the now-empty space and reappears inside Pockets, Giggle and Spin’s living room. The magic sparkles carry Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea out of the box. Pockets, Giggle and Spin land on the couch. Yapette lands on her dog bed, and Roller Guinea lands beside her. The Magical Mixing Spoon pops out of the box into Pockets’ paw.
Pockets says, THAT WAS A BRILLIANT CHATTY BOOK ADVENTURE.
Spin says, LOOK!
A pink book with a rectangle icon, an orange book with a heart icon, and a blue book with a half-circle icon lie on the table.
Giggle says, WHOA! THREE BOOKS!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin gather around the table. Spin opens the pink book, Giggle opens the orange book, and Pockets opens the blue book.
Pockets says, AND THEY'RE BLANK SO WE CAN WRITE MORE STORIES IN THEM!
[Spin giggling]
Spin says, GREAT!
Giggle says, I WONDER WHO LEFT THESE HERE.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin hold up their books.
[Gentle music plays]
Outside her tree, the Lucky Loover Bird returns her red book and black glasses to the yellow cupboard in the tree and closes the door.
[Door squeaking]
The Lucky Loover Bird says, MIXING UP ADVENTURES NEAR AND FAR, BUT HOME IS WHERE THE MIXMUPS ARE.
The Lucky Loover Bird hops on her swing and looks at the Mixmups’ house below.
The Lucky Loover Bird says, BYE, MIXMUPS!

Pockets says, WOW, I WANNA GO THERE.
Spin says, OH! ME, TOO! I WONDER IF THEY'LL HAVE A STRIPEY BOAT CAT CAR STORY!
Pockets says, YEAH. LET'S MIX UP SOME ADVENTURE AND GO TO A CHATTY LIBRARY!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin cheer, YAY!
On her swing, the Lucky Loover Bird says, OH! TIME TO PLAY!
The Lucky Loover Bird hops off the swing and opens a yellow cupboard in the tree, revealing a pair of black glasses and an open red book.
[Cupboard squeaking]
[Cheerful music plays]
Pockets, Giggle and Spin gather around the Magical Mixing Box.
Giggle says, STORYBOOK.
Giggle drops her book into the Magical Mixing Box.
Spin says, PICTURE.
Spin drops his stripey boat cat car drawing into the Magical Mixing Box.
Pockets says, TALKING.
Into the Magical Mixing Box, Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, CHITTER-CHATTER, CHITTER-CHATTER, CHITTER-CHATTER.
Pockets says, HM, WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED?
The Lucky Loover Bird stands beside her swing and blows magic sparkles from her trunky beak.
[Chimes]
The magic sparkles swirl around Pockets, Giggle and Spin.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, MAGIC SPARKLES!
In Spin’s paw, the Magical Mixing Spoon lights up with magic sparkles.
[Exciting music plays]
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIX UP THE MAGIC ONE, TWO, THREE!
Giggle mixes everything inside the Magical Mixing Box with the Magical Mixing Spoon.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIX UP THE MAGIC, YAHOO, YIPPEE! MIX IT, TWIRL IT, WHIRL IT, HEY! TIME FOR SOME MAGIC, ADVENTURE, AND PLAY!
The magic sucks Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea into the Magical Mixing Box. The Magical Mixing Box disappears.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, YEAH!
Outside the cupboard tree, the Lucky Loover Bird is gone, and her yellow cupboard is empty. In Adventure World, the Magical Mixing Box appears in a space.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin sing, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, MIXMUPS, MIX UP THE MAGIC ONE, TWO, THREE, YEAH!
Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea fly out of the Magical Mixing Box with the Magical Mixing Spoon. Giggle catches the spoon, and the box unfolds across the blank open space. Library walls and bookcases full of books pop up. A wall with a book tree appears, and a rug is surrounded by blue, pink, yellow, and purple cushions. Pockets, Giggle and Spin look around with Yapette and Roller Guinea.
[Spin gasping]
[Roller Guinea chittering curiously]
Spin loudly says, WHOA, IT'S VERY QUIET IN HERE!
Two yellow Wingles stand by a bookcase.
The Wingles say, SHH!
The Lucky Loover Bird peeks out from behind a second bookcase. She wears the black glasses from the yellow cupboard and has an open book on her head.
The Lucky Loover Bird whispers, HELLO, BOOKWORMS. ONLY ME.
[Wingles chattering]
The Wingles leave. The Lucky Loover Bird walks over to Pockets, Giggle and Spin with an armful of books.
Pockets says, UM, WHO ARE YOU?
The Lucky Loover Bird whispers, TODAY, I'M MRS. WHISPER, THE LIBRARIAN. SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AFTER ALL THESE BOOKS.
Giggle says, OH! WE'VE COME TO FIND THE BOOKS THAT TALK.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, WELL, YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE, BUT ALL THE BOOKS ARE QUIET RIGHT NOW.
Pockets quietly asks, HOW DO WE MAKE THEM TALK?
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, WE OPEN THEM!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, WOW!
Later in the library, Pockets, Giggle and Spin sit on the cushions on the rug facing Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird, who sits with her back against the book tree on the wall.
[Yapette softly grunting]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird asks, ARE YOU READY FOR THE STORY?
Pockets and Giggle nod. Spin looks around the library.
[Pockets and Giggle giggling]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, THEN LET'S BEGIN.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens a green book.
The green book says, THE LITTLE BEAR WAS WALKING IN THE WOODS, LISTENING TO SOUNDS OF…
Pockets loudly says, OH! IT'S ABOUT A LITTLE BEAR!
The two yellow Wingles say, SHH!
The green book continues, …AND INSECTS CRAWLING. HE WAS A VERY CURIOUS LITTLE BEAR, WHO LOVED TO EXPLORE…
[Green book continuing]
Spin stands and says, AW, IT HASN'T GOT ANY PICTURES IN IT. I'M GOING TO FIND A BOOK WITH PICTURES.
Spin walks away. Pockets and Giggle wave.
The green book says,…HE HEARD A STRANGE SOUND. IT WAS A SQUIRREL JUGGLING ACORNS.
Spin pulls a purple book off a bookshelf. He opens the book.
The purple book says, WHOOSH! THE WHALE DIVED UNDER THE WAVES…
[Purple book continuing]
Spin says, HUH, THERE'S NO PICTURES IN THIS ONE EITHER.
Spin closes the purple book and puts it back on the bookshelf. He walks over to another bookcase.
From far away, the green book says, BARRY BEAR'S FURRY EARS PRICKED UP.
Spin looks around and says, UH, WHAT ABOUT THIS ONE?
Spin pulls a yellow book off a shelf and walks over to a stack of books. He opens the yellow book.
The yellow book says, ROBOT RADJOU SAID HE WOULD NEVER EVER PLAY IN THE RAIN AGAIN.
Spin looks disappointed. He closes the yellow book.
Spin says, AW, STILL NO PICTURES.
Spin tosses the yellow book on the stack of books.
Spin says, I WANT TO SEE A PICTURE OF ROBOT RADJOU.
Spin moves like a robot and says, I AM ROBOT RADJOU. BEEP-BOOP-BOP!
Spin walks over to the book tree. Pockets, Giggle, and Yapette turn to Spin.
The green book says, WOULD YOU LIKE –
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the green book and frowns.
Pockets quietly says, SPIN, SHHH, COME AND LISTEN TO A CHATTY STORY WITH US.
[Spin sighing]
Spin walks over to the stack of books and picks them up.
Spin says, OKAY.
Spin walks over to the reading tree and drops the books beside Giggle and Roller Guinea.
[Thudding]
[Roller Guinea squealing]
Spin rests his head against the stack of books. As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens the green book.
The green book says, THE SQUIRREL HOPPED DOWN FROM THE BRANCH, ACORNS STILL TUMBLING AROUND HIM.
Spin looks distracted. He stands up straight and drums on the yellow book on top of the stack with his paws.
The green book says, I’M PRACTICING MY ACORN TRAINING AND –
Spin opens the yellow book on top of the stack.
[Elephant loudly trumpeting]
[Green book continues]
The yellow book on top of the stack says, THE ELEPHANT FOUND ITS TRUNK TANGLED IN A –
Spin closes the yellow book on the stack and tosses it aside. He opens a blue book.
The blue book says, THREE COWS WENT–
Spin tosses the blue book aside. He opens a red book, tosses it aside, then opens a second green book.
[Books chattering]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird frowns and closes the first green book.
[Books chattering]
Pockets quietly says, SPIN, IT'S TOO LOUD.
[Books chattering]
Spin closes and stacks the open books scattered around him.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, DEARY, DEARY ME. YOU NEED TO OPEN ONE BOOK AT A TIME, OR YOU WON'T HEAR ANY OF THE STORIES.
Spin says, SORRY. IT'S JUST I REALLY WANTED TO SEE IF THERE WERE PICTURES INSIDE.
Giggle says, THEN WHY DON'T WE LOOK AFTER WE'VE LISTENED TO THE STORY?
[Giggle giggling]
Spin says, I KNOW, I'LL SIT ON 'EM, AND THEN I WON'T BE ABLE TO OPEN 'EM!
Spin sits on the stacked books.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird whispers, RIGHT. WHERE WERE WE?
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens the first green book.
The first green book says, HIS EARS TWITCHING WITH EXCITEMENT. "OH, YES, IT'S THE GRANDEST EVENT OF THE YEAR.”
Spin taps his feet and paws impatiently. Spin sits against a second stack of books and drums his paws on the first stack.
[Drumming]
The first green book continues, ANIMALS FROM ALL OVER THE FOREST SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the first green book and says, SHH!
Pockets and Giggle also say, SHH!
Spin says, SORRY.
Spin leans against the stack of books behind him. The books fall and tumble open.
[Books loudly chattering]
Pockets and Giggle cover their ears. As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird frowns. Spin quickly closes and stacks the open books. Pockets pets Yapette.
Pockets says, PLEASE STOP TOUCHING ALL THE BOOKS, SPIN.
Spin says, SORRY. I'M JUST NOT VERY GOOD AT SITTING STILL AND LISTENING TO STORIES.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, MM, I WONDER, IS THERE ANOTHER WAY WE COULD HELP SPIN ENJOY THE STORIES IN THE CHATTY LIBRARY?
Pockets, Giggle and Spin say, HM.
Thought bubbles show Pockets, Giggle and Spin’s adventure in the library.
Pockets says, WELL, WE SAT DOWN TO LISTEN TO A STORY, BUT SPIN WENT TO LOOK FOR BOOKS WITH PICTURES.
Giggle says, THEN HE OPENED ALL THE CHATTY BOOKS AT THE SAME TIME!
[Giggle giggling]
Giggle says, IT WAS SO NOISY.
Spin says, AND I TRIED SITTING ON THE BOOKS TO STOP ME FROM OPENING THEM, BUT I KEPT FIDGETING. I REALLY WANT TO LISTEN TO THE CHATTY BOOKS, BUT I WANT TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES, TOO.
Spin frowns. He opens a bright yellow book.
Spin says, HUH? THIS BOOK HASN'T GOT ANYTHING IN IT AT ALL! IT'S BLANK!
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird runs and grabs the bright yellow book from Spin.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, SO IT IS! I WONDER WHAT WE CAN DO WITH IT.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird smiles.
[Spin gasping]
Spin says, I KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Elsewhere in the library, Spin lies on his belly with the bright yellow book open on the floor and multiple coloured pencils.
Spin says, THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!
Spin draws on a blank page in the yellow book with a yellow pencil.
Spin says, OOH. NOW, I'LL DO THAT BIT THERE. AND... OH-HO, YEAH! OH, AND THIS COLOUR THERE. I'LL PUT THE TAIL ON.
At the book tree, Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird, holds the bright yellow book.
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, THE EPIC ADVENTURE OF THE STRIPEY CAT BOAT, BY SPIN!
Spin stands beside Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin cheer, YAY!
Giggle cheers, WAHOO!
[Wingles cheering]
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird opens Spin’s bright yellow book.
Spin’s book says, ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WAS A STRIPEY CAT BOAT WHO LOVED TO SAIL ON THE SEA.
A drawing of Spin’s blue and white striped cat boat floats out of the book.
[Pockets, Giggle and Spin gasping]
Spin’s book says, ONE DAY, HE WISHED FOR WHEELS SO HE COULD GO ON LAND, PLAY AT THE PARK, AND MAYBE TRY SOME CHEESE ON TOAST.
Wheels appear on the stripey cat boat. Spin spins the boat. Drawings of a swing set, slide, and a slice of cheese on toast float out of the book. Later at the book tree, Spin stands behind Yapette, between Pockets and Giggle.
[Spin clapping]
Spin’s book says, HE HAD THE FUR OF A CAT, THE SHAPE OF A BOAT, AND THE WHIZZY WHEELS OF A CAR.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin watch the stripey cat boat float around the cheese on toast.
Spin’s book says, FROM THAT DAY ON, HE WAS KNOWN AS THE STRIPEY BOAT CAT CAR.
AND THE CHEESE ON TOAST WAS DELICIOUS. I WONDER IF THIS IS WHAT THE MOON TASTES LIKE.
A drawing of the moon floats out of the book.
Spin’s book says, BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. THE END.
The drawings float back into the book. As Mrs. Whispers, the Lucky Loover Bird closes the book.
Pockets cheers, WOO-HOO.
Spin and Giggle cheer, YAY!
Pockets says, YEAH! THAT WAS REALLY GREAT, SPIN.
Spin says, AW, THANKS.
[Spin clapping]
Pockets says, WE DID IT! WE ALL LISTENED TO SPIN'S STORY AT THE CHATTY LIBRARY.
Spin says, I GOT TO PLAY WITH THE STORY, TOO!
As Mrs. Whisper, the Lucky Loover Bird says, AS I SAY, THERE'S ALWAYS ANOTHER WAY.
[Poofing]
The Magical Mixing Spoon appears in Pockets’ chest pocket.
Pockets says, OH, TIME FOR HOME.
Pockets takes the Magical Mixing Spoon out of her chest pocket.
[Exciting magical music plays]
The bookcases, cushions and books on the wall disappear from the library. The library's rug and walls collapse and fold into the Magical Mixing Box. The Magical Mixing Spoon flies out of Pockets’ paw, and sprinkles magic sparkles around Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea. The magic sucks them back into the Magical Mixing Box.
As herself, the Lucky Loover Bird waves and says, TOODLE-LOO!
The Magical Mixing Box disappears from the now-empty space and reappears inside Pockets, Giggle and Spin’s living room. The magic sparkles carry Pockets, Giggle, Spin, Yapette and Roller Guinea out of the box. Pockets, Giggle and Spin land on the couch. Yapette lands on her dog bed, and Roller Guinea lands beside her. The Magical Mixing Spoon pops out of the box into Pockets’ paw.
Pockets says, THAT WAS A BRILLIANT CHATTY BOOK ADVENTURE.
Spin says, LOOK!
A pink book with a rectangle icon, an orange book with a heart icon, and a blue book with a half-circle icon lie on the table.
Giggle says, WHOA! THREE BOOKS!
Pockets, Giggle and Spin gather around the table. Spin opens the pink book, Giggle opens the orange book, and Pockets opens the blue book.
Pockets says, AND THEY'RE BLANK SO WE CAN WRITE MORE STORIES IN THEM!
[Spin giggling]
Spin says, GREAT!
Giggle says, I WONDER WHO LEFT THESE HERE.
Pockets, Giggle and Spin hold up their books.
[Gentle music plays]
Outside her tree, the Lucky Loover Bird returns her red book and black glasses to the yellow cupboard in the tree and closes the door.
[Door squeaking]
The Lucky Loover Bird says, MIXING UP ADVENTURES NEAR AND FAR, BUT HOME IS WHERE THE MIXMUPS ARE.
The Lucky Loover Bird hops on her swing and looks at the Mixmups’ house below.
The Lucky Loover Bird says, BYE, MIXMUPS!
