[Song] Colourblocks, Colourblocks, red and yellow and blue. Colourblocks, Colourblocks, green and purple and orange, too. In a magic world of colours, look what we can do. Colourblocks, Colourblocks, we're mixing it up for you. Colourblocks!
[Title] Colourblocks.

PURPLE: Hello, and welcome to the show. Today, the Colourblocks proudly present a colourful performance of Little Red Riding Hood.
PURPLE READS: Once upon a time, there was a Colourblock called Little Red Riding Hood.
[Whoosh, Red giggles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Red arrives as Little Red Riding Hood, wearing a red hooded cape.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: That's me.
PURPLE READS: Little Red Riding Hood packed a basket full of wonderful red treats for her grandma's party. She had...
[Thump, chimes, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood puts a basket on the grass. She turns a balloon, a slice of cake, and strawberries red as she removes them from the basket.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: A red balloon, a red cake and some red strawberries.
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood picks up her basket and skips. Purple follows her, carrying the book on the lectern.
PURPLE READS: Little Red Riding Hood set out through the forest, and…
PURPLE: Wait a minute.
[The music stops, lectern rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Purple puts the lectern on the grass.
PURPLE: We need a forest.
DESCRIPTION: Green arrives.
GREEN: I can help.
[Upbeat music plays]
PURPLE: Ah, Green. May we have a forest, please?
GREEN: Naturally. Follow me.
[Footsteps rustle, chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood follows Green into a forest full of white trees. Green touches the treetops, and they turn green.
GREEN: Green. Green. Green, green.
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood stops and watches a blue butterfly flutter past.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Green? Where are you?
[Tense music plays, leaves rustle]
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Oh, no. I'm all alone in the forest.
[Blue giggles, Little Red Riding Hood shouts]
DESCRIPTION: Blue, dressed as a wolf, jumps out from behind a bush.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: It's the Big Bad Wolf!
BLUE: Huh?
[Slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood takes the balloon out of the basket and floats away from Blue.
BLUE: I'm the Big Blue Wolf.
[He sighs, birds chirp, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Blue, as the Big Blue Wolf, puts a hand on his hip and looks down.
BIG BLUE WOLF: Why does everyone get those mixed up?
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood floats above the trees.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Oh, phew. That was close.
[Pop, slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: A bird pops Little Red Riding Hood’s balloon.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Whoops!
[Boing, thump, Purple clears his throat, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood lands on the grass in front of Purple and catches her basket.
PURPLE: That wasn't quite how the story was supposed to go, but, uh, where were we?
[Pages rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Purple flips through the book.
PURPLE READS: Oh, yes. Little Red Riding Hood was still lost in the forest.
[Upbeat music plays, Yellow cries]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood skips in the forest and stops. Yellow, who has long curly hair, sits by a tree, crying.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Hello. Who are you?
[Slide whistle, ducks squeak, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Yellow, as Goldilocks, stands and smiles. He shows Little Red Riding Hood three yellow rubber ducks.
GOLDILOCKS: I'm Goldilocks. My three ducks are hungry. I accidentally ate all their porridge, and now I don't know what to do.
[Pages rustle, Goldilocks laughs, the music stops]
PURPLE: Goldilocks? That's not right. This is Little Red Riding Hood, not Little Yellow Goldie Hair.
[Rustle, slide whistle, ducks squeak]
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Ah. Do ducks like strawberries?
GOLDILOCKS: Ooh.
[Goldilocks laughs, ducks squeak]
DESCRIPTION: Goldilocks holds the rubber ducks and pretends they peck at the strawberries.
GOLDILOCKS: Ah. Yumyumyum. They said it's just right.
PURPLE: Yes, yes. Hooray.
[Upbeat music plays, skips thump]
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks skip.
PURPLE: Now, on with the show. Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks travelled through the forest, but soon, they were lost.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Oh, no. Which way to Grandma's house?
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks look around and back into each other.
[Bright music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Red and Yellow appear against a white background.
RED: Red and...
YELLOW: Yellow...
BOTH: Mix to make...
[Chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Orange appears between them.
ORANGE: Orange.
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In the forest, Orange appears wearing a gingerbread costume.
LITTLE ORANGE GINGERBREAD BLOCK: Run, run. We're against the clock. You can't catch me. I'm a gingerbread block.
[The music stops]
PURPLE: What are you doing here? This is Little Red Riding Hood, not Little Orange Gingerbread Block.
LITTLE ORANGE GINGERBREAD BLOCK: Well, I know the way to Grandma's, so you can either follow me or stay lost in the forest.
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Little Orange Gingerbread Block runs away.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: You're too fast!
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, and Purple follow Little Orange Gingerbread Block.
GOLDILOCKS: Wait for us.
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood leaves the slice of cake on the grass.
LITTLE ORANGE GINGERBREAD BLOCK: Oh.
[Little Red Riding Hood giggles, Purple pants, upbeat music plays, door opens, birds sing]
DESCRIPTION: In a clearing, Little Orange Gingerbread Block smiles and points at a small white house. Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks wait with her as Purple arrives, carrying the book. Big Blue Wolf walks out of the house and waves.
PURPLE: Goldilocks, the Gingerbread Block and Little Red Riding Hood arrived at Grandma's house to find the Big Blue Wolf, but no Grandma.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Big Bad Wolf, did you eat Grandma?
BIG BLUE WOLF: No. I don't eat grandmas. I eat blueberries.
[Slide whistle]
DESCRIPTION: Big Blue Wolf holds out a bowl of blueberries.
THE OTHERS: Huh?
BIG BLUE WOLF: I'm the Big Blue Wolf. I'm not a bad wolf.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Well, where is Grandma?
THE OTHERS: Ah.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Wait a minute. Who is Grandma?
[The music stops, birds sing, pages rustle]
PURPLE: Ooh. I know.
[Regal music plays]
PURPLE: I shall play Grandma.
DESCRIPTION: Purple runs into the house and sits on a purple chair beside a purple lamp. He wears a purple bonnet and purple eyeglasses. Little Red Riding Hood enters the house and stops by the chair.
[Upbeat music plays]
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: My, Grandma. What a purple face you've got.
GRANDMA: All the better to…
[Stomach rumbles]
PURPLE: Is it time for the party yet?
DESCRIPTION: Little Red Riding Hood reaches into her basket and stops smiling.
[Tense music plays]
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Oh, no. I forgot. The balloon popped, the strawberries were eaten, and now, the cake is gone. I've ruined Grandma's party.
ORANGE: It's okay, Red.
[Red gasps, bright music notes play, chimes]
DESCRIPTION: Red looks through the doorway and sees a long table outside, covered with cake and fruit. Orange touches white oranges, and they change colour. Blue holds the bowl of blueberries.
ORANGE: We have everything we need here.
DESCRIPTION: Green touches white bunting, and the flags turn green.
RED: This is the most colourful party ever!
PURPLE READS: And they all lived happily ever after.
RED: Yay! What a party.
ORANGE: Woohoo!
PURPLE: Great production.
YELLOW: Wowzers.
[Yellow giggles]
