DESCRIPTION: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple Colourblocks smile and jump. Green touches white grass, and it turns green. Orange dribbles a white basketball, and it turns orange. Purple touches white flowers, and they turn purple.
[Song] Colourblocks, Colourblocks, red and yellow and blue. Colourblocks, Colourblocks, green and purple and orange, too. In a magic world of colours, look what we can do. Colourblocks, Colourblocks, we're mixing it up for you. Colourblocks!
[Title] Colourblocks.
DESCRIPTION: The yellow O in “Blocks” turns into the yellow colourblock.
[Yellow giggles]
[Cheerful music plays, scratching, whoosh, jump boings, slide whistle, jumps boing, whistle]
DESCRIPTION: In a white world with hills, flowers, and bushes, Black flies to a flower and gives it a black outline. Black bounces to a bush and tree, and traces them. She draws cracks on the side of a mountain. Black stops and looks around.
BLACK: Oh?
[Whoosh, chimes, bug chitters]
DESCRIPTION: Black flies to a white bug with black eyes and circles them.
BLACK: Ooh.
DESCRIPTION: Black changes the bug to black. The bug spreads their wings, flies in a circle around Black, and flies away.
BLACK: Ooh.
[Jumps boing, brakes screech, chuckles]
DESCRIPTION: Black bounces to a device with a white speaker on each side. She jumps on top, and the device turns black.
DEVICE: Black.
[Jumps boing, chimes, Black giggles, whoosh, Black giggles, top hat rustles, bat squeaks, wings flap, scratching, thump]
DESCRIPTION: Black bounces off a pair of sunglasses, turning them black. She touches a white umbrella, and it changes to black. She touches a tire and a top hat, changing both to black. Black puts on the top hat and flies in a circle. The top hat shakes, and Black removes it. A bat flies out and flies around the cracks in the mountain. Black draws a cave entrance and hits it, changing it to black, and the bat flies in.
BLACK: Ooh?
DESCRIPTION: Black closes her eyes and flies into the dark cave.
BLACK: Hmm.
[Scratching]
DESCRIPTION: White draws on the cave wall.
BLACK: Ooh.
[White giggles, slide whistle, cheerful music continues, device squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: White flies to Black, and they look at each other. White touches a refrigerator and turns it white. They push a second device with four speakers towards the refrigerator and bounces on the device, turning it white. White pushes the button on top.
DEVICE: White. White, white.
[Scratching]
DESCRIPTION: Black draws an oval on the refrigerator freezer. She draws stars on one piece of paper and a rocket ship on another. Black draws circles on the speakers.
WHITE: Hmm.
[Chimes, wings flap, bird coos, light music plays, slide whistle, freezer door opens, the music stops, the freezer door slams]
DESCRIPTION: White touches a black bird. It changes to white and flies away. Wind blows White to the side. Nearby, Black holds the freezer door open and snow piles on the ground in front of the refrigerator.
[Upbeat music plays, snow rustles, click]
DESCRIPTION: White grabs falling snow, then flies to the snow in front of the refrigerator. They make a snowman, then push the button on the device.
DEVICE: White.
[Light music plays, both laugh, White squeaks, scratching, jumps boing, door clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Black adds eyes, a smile, and four buttons to the snowman. Black and White high-five. White bounces across the cave and draws a door. Black bounces over and draws an outline separating the door from the doorframe. She also draws four panels on the door and an escutcheon plate around the doorknob. Black opens the door. White looks at the white space on the other side of the door, then bounces back into the cave.
BLACK: Hmm.
[Wheels squeak, upbeat music plays, footsteps tap, rustle, White chuckles, scratching]
DESCRIPTION: White pushes the device through the doorway, and Black follows. Outside, the black bug skitters past them, and White touches the bug’s shell, turning it white. White flies to the sunglasses, and white writing appears on the left temple.
BLACK: Ooh.
[Jumps boing, scratching, whoosh, slide whistle, upbeat music continues, top hat rustles, Black giggles, wheels squeak, scratching, whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: White bounces away, and Black follows them. White adds white lines to the black umbrella. They add white treads to the tire and roll it away. White adds two white stripes around the top hat, just above the brim. White pushes the white device with the speakers next to the matching black device. White draws white lines on the black device. Black jumps on the black device, and White jumps on the white device.
BLACK DEVICE: Black.
WHITE DEVICE: White.
BLACK DEVICE: Black.
WHITE DEVICE: White.
BLACK DEVICE: Black.
[Bird coos, bat squeaks, penguin squawks, scratching, penguin footsteps patter, keyboard notes play, wheels squeak, buttons click]
DESCRIPTION: The white bird chases the black bat. Black and White fly to a white penguin, and Black turns it black. White turns the penguin’s tummy and beak white. They fly away the penguin chases them. Black colours a road black, and White bounces across, leaving a row of white lines. The penguin runs across the lines. Black colours a keyboard black. Black and White each hover at one and bounce on keys, passing each other in the middle. When they finish, the bat drags the black device to them, and the bird drags the white device. The bat pushes the button on one device, and the bird pushes the button on the other.
BLACK DEVICE: Black.
WHITE DEVICE: White.
BLACK DEVICE: Black.
WHITE DEVICE: White.
[Keyboard melody and harmony plays]
DESCRIPTION: Black and White play the keyboard.
BOTH: Yay!
[Light music notes play, White yawns, slide whistle, scratching, soft music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Black jumps high and colours the sky black.
BLACK: Whee!
WHITE: Ooh.
[Scratching, whoosh, plops, wings flap, bird coos]
DESCRIPTION: White jumps and draws a crescent moon and stars. Black and White look at the sky, then turn and look behind them. The bat and bird take off and fly past the penguin.
