DESCRIPTION: A red car drives past apartment buildings. Inside 16 Hudson, Luc knocks on a door, and Sam and Lili open it. Amala waits in the hall beside Luc. In a playground, Sara climbs a pole with a clock on the top as Luc runs past carrying a skateboard. Lili and Sam play hide and seek. Lili runs beside her fluffy white Persian cat, who is Kensington, and Ivan waves as she passes. Families stand on their balconies and wave. The residents of 16 Hudson blow bubbles in a field.
[Song] Who's that knocking at my door? I'll race you to the bottom floor. Who's that playing hide and seek? Count to ten and don't you peek. Let's head outside and play. Create a brand-new game or search beneath the stairs for hidden treasure there. 16 Hudson. SAM: This trash box is so heavy!
[Ball thumps, box thumps]
LUC: Sam, Lili! What are you doing? It's almost time to go! Did you forget our soccer championships today?
DESCRIPTION: Sam and Lili put the box down as Luc runs in a circle around them.
LILI: How could we forget, Luc? We just have to finish our chores first.
[Light music plays]
LUC: Okay. See you there! I'm gonna wait for Papa downstairs. Bye!
[Button clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Sam pushes the elevator button.
SAM: Better not use up all our energy before the game. Let's take the elevator to the basement.
[Elevator clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Sam walks to a door in the hallway.
SAM: Mmm. And take a minute to wonder about... what's behind the mystery door.
LILI: The mystery door? Oooh! What if there's a magical force with unicorns and candy trees?
SAM: Or a portal into another dimension?
[Doorknob rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Sam tries to turn the locked doorknob.
SAM: Hm.
[Lili grunts, button clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Lili pushes the elevator button.
LILI: It's not even making a noise. It must be broken.
[Box rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Lili slides the box to the top of the stairs.
LILI: Come on, stairs!
SAM: Ugh! I wish this mystery door was a magical portal to the basement.
LILI: Let me just measure the box real quick so we can figure out how to get it around the turn.
SAM: Nah, we'll just shove it down.
[Box clunks]
DESCRIPTION: Sam shoves the box down the stairs, and it stops on a landing.
LILI: Uh! Sam! It's stuck. We need to measure it! And plan!
[Footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: Lili runs down the stairs.
SAM: Ugh! It just needs a kick!
[Lights buzz, light music continues, light clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Sam runs down the stairs and raises his foot to kick the box. The light above the landing flickers and goes out.
SAM: Uh-oh, the light went out.
LILI: I can't see anything. Back up the stairs!
[Both grunt, box thumps]
DESCRIPTION: They push the box up the stairs.
LILI: So we can't use the elevator or the stairs to move our box?
SAM: Everything's broken. Ugh! I wish Ivan was still the Super. He was the best at fixing stuff.
[The music stops]
LILI: Oh, Sam! You really don't like anyone or anything new, do you?
[Dramatic music notes play]
SAM: What? No! I just... um...
[Upbeat music plays]
LILI: You'll come around. Bridget is just as good as Ivan--maybe better! You'll see.
DESCRIPTION: Lili runs to Bridget.
LILI: Bridget! Can you help us? The elevator stopped working, and the light's out on the stairs!
BRIDGET: Oh! Thanks for telling me, Lili. Let me at it.
[Bridget grunts, door rumble, tools clatter, screwdriver squeaks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget pushes the elevator doors open and carries her toolbox to the floor selection panel. She removes the panel and scans the buttons.
BRIDGET: Ahh! Okay, let's find the problem. Hmm. Nope. No.
DESCRIPTION: Sam rolls his eyes.
SAM WHISPERS LOUDLY: This is taking forever!
LILI: Bridget's careful, and that takes time.
SAM: It's better to do things fast, like Ivan-- and like me.
LILI: Better to do things carefully, like Bridget-- and like me.
[Elevator doors ding, clatter]
DESCRIPTION: The elevator doors open and close.
BRIDGET: Tada! Fixed.
LILI: Thanks, Bridget! You're the best!
[The music stops, light music plays, measuring tape rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget measures the box.
BRIDGET: You're welcome, but if you're thinking of taking the box on the elevator, I'm not sure it's gonna fit. Mmm. Nope, too long. Let me fix that light so you can use the stairs.
[Phone beeps]
BRIDGET: Uh-oh. Water problem. I'll have to check that out first. Busy day!
[Bridget whistles]
DESCRIPTION: In an apartment, Bridget, Lili, and Sam look at a pipe dripping into a bucket beneath a sink.
BRIDGET: That's quite a leak. I better shut the water off before I work on it.
[Toolbox rustles, footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget puts her toolbox down and walks away.
[Dramatic music notes play]
SAM: Ivan would never turn off the water. He'd just tape up the pipe, fast! That's way better.
LILI: That's not better. It's just different.
[Door slams, footsteps patter, Sam sighs, birds sing, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Sam and Lili walk onto the balcony.
SAM: Who knows how long we'll have to wait now?
[The music stops]
DESCRIPTION: On the ground, Luc, J.J., Amala, and Bayani look up at Sam and Lili.
LUC: Sam, Lili! Aren't you coming? You're gonna miss warm-up!
[Birds sing]
LILI: We have to finish our chores first!
[Birds sing, light music plays]
SAM: Only we can't, because we're waiting for Bridget to fix the stair light! Ooh, we gotta get to that game or the 17 Hudson team will win!
LILI: Henri will rub it in every day till next year!
[Sam gasps]
SAM: I know! What if we tossed our trash box over the balcony?
[Lili gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Below, everyone moves away.
LILI: But that's dangerous!
BRIDGET: Yeah, why would you do that?
SAM: 'Cause it's going to take forever to fix the leak and the light and the—
BRIDGET: What do you mean? I'm already done.
SAM: Really?
[Inspiring music plays, chimes, birds sing]
DESCRIPTION: They walk inside, and Bridget gestures at the fixed pipe.
LILI: See, Sam? Told you. Bridget's as good as Ivan.
DESCRIPTION: Later, the elevator door opens, and Lili and Sam walk out. Nearby, their box is on the carpet, and Bridget stands beside the mystery door.
LILI: And maybe even better!
[Elevator doors clank shut]
LILI: Bridget, are you opening the mystery door?
[Light music notes play]
BRIDGET: Gonna try. Ivan said he could never open it, and I'm dying to see what's inside.
LILI: Us too! And if you could open it, you'd be the best Super ever!
[Keys jingle, doorknob rattles, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget holds up her keyring. She tries a key in the lock and jiggles the doorknob.
BRIDGET: I've tried every key but this one. Here goes. Nope. None of them fit. Hmm. I don't know what to do.
[Sam laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Ivan walks up the stairs.
IVAN: Neither did I when I was the Super.
SAM: Huh, so it's a tie?
[Upbeat music plays]
LILI: I guess so. Well, let's get that box downstairs and head to soccer.
[Whoosh, Sam grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Sam pushes the box.
LILI: Sam, wait. Let's measure it first.
SAM: Won't need to if we do it my way.
[Both grunt, hands on the box thump]
DESCRIPTION: Sam pushes the box forward, and Lili stands on the other end, pushing it backwards.
LILI: Sam, stop it! My way's better!
SAM: You stop it!
[Bridget cheers, light music plays, door rattles]
IVAN: Yeah!
BRIDGET: Great idea!
IVAN: Your idea!
[Door rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget kneels by the mystery door and unscrews a hinge.
SAM: Is that Bridget and Ivan working together?
[Screwdriver rattles]
IVAN: Kids, look! It was Bridget's idea to take the door off its hinges. She thinks things through carefully, sort of like Lili!
BRIDGET: And Ivan's fast, like Sam. We'll see what's behind here in no time.
[Ivan chuckles]
IVAN: We have different ways of doing things, but together, we can get the job done.
SAM: Maybe we could try doing that. We could think it through, like you.
LILI: Then do it fast, like you.
IVAN: Don't you want to see what's behind the mystery door first?
[Mysterious music plays, door bangs]
DESCRIPTION: Ivan and Bridget remove the door, and light shines into the room. Bridget carries a flashlight, and Ivan follows her.
LILI: Is it a unicorn forest?
SAM: A magical portal to another dimension?
LILI AND SAM: A pool?
[Light switch clicks]
DESCRIPTION: Ivan flicks a light switch on.
IVAN: Not quite. It's a...
[Suspenseful music plays]
IVAN AND BRIDGET: Trash chute.
[Light music plays]
LILI: So it is a magic portal...for trash! Sam? Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

LILI AND SAM: Let's try it!
[Both grunt]
DESCRIPTION: Lili and Sam push the box into the room.
BOTH: Ugh! Uh!
[Both pant, chute door creaks, rustle trash crashes, hands slap]
DESCRIPTION: Bridget lifts the chute door and helps the children put the box in the chute. Lili and Sam high-five.
SAM: Soccer time!
LILI: Yeah!

DESCRIPTION: Lili runs out of the room. Sam starts to follow and then stops.
SAM: You know, you two make a great team, kind of like me and Lili.
