A path leads up a grassy hill to a town of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and bow.

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirp]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE, HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY. LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Title: Kid-E-Cats.

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Episode title: The Old Castle Hotel.

[Chiming, upbeat music plays, engine rumbling, car door opening]

Blue flags fly on the turrets of a castle on a hill. A stone bridge leads to the castle, and snowcapped mountains rise behind it.

The narrator says, ONE DAY, MOMMY, DADDY AND THE KITTENS WENT ON A ROAD TRIP AND DECIDED TO STAY AT A HOTEL.

[Medieval music plays]

Pudding says, WHOA, THIS PLACE LOOKS JUST LIKE A KNIGHT'S CASTLE!

[Luggage rattling]

Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat bring luggage from the car.

Mommy Cat says, THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS A CASTLE, PUDDING. THEY ONLY JUST TURNED IT INTO A HOTEL.

Cookie says, WE'RE SPENDING THE NIGHT IN AN ACTUAL CASTLE?

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Bell dinging]

Inside the castle, Daddy Cat pushes on a desk bell.

A front desk concierge says, ALLOW ME TO WELCOME YOU TO THE OLD CASTLE HOTEL.

The family says, THANK YOU!

Daddy Cat says, WE'D LIKE TO GET A ROOM, PLEASE.

The concierge says, OF COURSE, SIR. HERE'S YOUR KEY.

[Keys jangling, thumping on the counter]

Daddy Cat says, FANTASTIC!

[Wheels rumbling, squeaking]

A bellhop pushes luggage on a carrier, and Mommy Cat and the kittens walk with him.

At the counter, the concierge says, AND I SHOULD TELL YOU, OUR CHEF IS MAKING HIS FAMOUS PUMPKIN PIE TONIGHT. IT'S QUITE DELICIOUS.

[Footsteps pattering, Mommy Cat gasping, upbeat music plays]

Later, the family walks down a long hallway.

Mommy Cat says, I ALMOST FORGOT, MY BAG IS IN THE CAR. YOU GO FIND THE ROOM, AND I'LL CATCH UP.

[Cell phone ringing]

Daddy Cat says, HUH? UH, JUST A MOMENT, KITTENS. HEY THERE, FELIX, HOW IS THE CAFE? AH, OH, JUST USE HONEY INSTEAD. MMHMM.

Daddy Cat walks away holding his cell phone. The kittens run to a shield on the wall. The shield has a picture of a large fishtail poking through the surface of the water.

Cookie says, WHOA, WHAT A COOL SHIELD! LET'S GET A BETTER LOOK AT IT.

Daddy Cat says, WHEN IN DOUBT, ADD CINNAMON. CHECK IT OUT, I WONDER WHAT KIND OF PICTURE THIS IS.

Pudding says, A COAT OF ARMS, EVERY KNIGHT HAD ONE OF THEIR OWN. YOU CAN LEARN A LOT BY JUST LOOKING. THIS ONE HAS WATER, SO THE KNIGHT WHO CARRIED THIS SHIELD LIVED BY THE RIVER OR THE OCEAN. BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT NEAT FISHTAIL MEANS?

[Splashing, slide whistles]

In a thought bubble, a knight in armour swims. The knight flips in the water and the thought bubble pops.

Candy asks, WHAT IF IT MEANS THAT THE KNIGHT WAS A MERMAN?

[Kittens laughing]

Pudding says, HEY, LOOK, ANOTHER COAT OF ARMS!

[Footsteps pattering, slide whistle, whooshing, whirring, Medieval music plays, slide whistle]

The kittens run back down the hallway to a shield with a windmill. In a thought bubble, a knight rides on one of the turning windmill blades. The thought bubble pops.

The narrator says, THE KITTENS HAD FUN SEARCHING FOR SHIELDS AND IMAGINING THE KNIGHTS THEY BELONGED TO.

[Footsteps pattering, slide whistle, rattling Medieval music plays, slide whistle]

The kittens run to a shield with three maces. In a thought bubble, a knight rides a unicycle and juggles three maces. The thought bubble pops. The kittens run further down the hallway.

Daddy Cat says, AH HAH, YEP. YOU'RE THE BEST, FELIX. SO LONG FOR NOW.

[Chuckling, Medieval music ends]

Daddy Cat says, SORRY, KITTENS. I'M BACK NOW. HEY, KITTENS?

[Whooshing, Pudding chuckling]

Pudding says, LOOKS LIKE WE'VE SEEN THEM ALL. WE SHOULD GET BACK TO DADDY.

[Whooshing]

The kittens look around a foyer with four arched entrances.

Candy says, UH, GUYS, I THINK WE MIGHT BE A LITTLE A LOST.

Cookie says, THEN WE CAN JUST FOLLOW THE SHIELDS WE'VE SEEN, AND WE CAN TRACE OUR WAY BACK. FIRST UP, THAT WAY.

[Daddy Cat panting, exciting music plays]

The kittens run down a second hallway; then Daddy Cat jogs into the foyer.

Daddy Cat says, HEY, KITTENS!

Daddy Cat runs into a third hallway. The kittens run back into the foyer and turn into a different hallway. Daddy Cat runs back into the foyer.

Cookie says, NOPE, NOT HERE. OVER THERE!

Pudding says, LOOK, THE ONE WITH THE FISHTAIL. THIS IS THE LAST PLACE WE SAW DADDY.

Cookie asks, WHY ISN'T HE HERE? HE PROBABLY WENT TO LOOK FOR US. MAYBE THAT WAY?

Daddy Cat says, HEY, CANDY? PUDDING? COOKIE!

[Footsteps pattering]

Daddy Cat leaves the foyer, and the kittens run through it.

The kittens shout, WE'RE HERE!

Daddy Cat says, OH, KITTENS!

On a lower floor, the kittens shout, DADDY!

Daddy Cat says, HELLO?!

The kittens shout, DADDY, WE'RE HERE!

Daddy Cat says, MY KITTENS!

The kittens shout, DADDY!

Daddy Cat says, COME BACK!

[Kittens panting, music ends]

The kittens stop beside a suit of armour.

Pudding says, THIS CASTLE HAS A REALLY LOUD ECHO. I HEAR THE SOUND EVERYWHERE AND CAN'T TELL WHERE HE IS!

[Cookie groaning, thumping, cell phone ringing, buzzing]

Cookie lies on the floor.

The kittens say, DADDY!

[Daddy Cat laughing]

Daddy Cat says, HAH, GOOD THING I REMEMBERED THAT PUDDING'S GOT HIS OWN PHONE. SO, WHERE ARE YOU KITTENS?

UH, NEXT TO A SUIT OF ARMOUR.

Daddy Cat says, AH, I JUST SAW A SUIT OF ARMOUR! HERE I COME.

[Kittens exclaiming happily, light music plays]

Daddy Cat walks to a suit of armour.

Daddy Cat says, WELL, HERE I AM. BUT I THINK THERE'S MORE THAN ONE SUIT OF ARMOUR.

[Music ends]

Pudding says, I DON'T WANT TO BE LOST IN THIS CASTLE ANYMORE. I'M TIRED AND HUNGRY.

[Pudding whimpering, footsteps rustling]

Cookie says, SO AM I.

Daddy Cat says, HMM.

[Daddy Cat sniffing]

Daddy Cat says, OH.

Cookie says, AH! HUH?

[Cookie sniffing]

Cookie says, I JUST SMELLED SOMETHING DELICIOUS!

[Whooshing]

Daddy Cat says, I BET IT'S THAT PUMPKIN PIE THE CHEF IS MAKING.

[Chiming]

Candy says, THAT GIVES ME A GREAT IDEA! IF WE FOLLOW THE SMELL OF PIE, THEN WE CAN ALL MEET UP IN THE RESTAURANT!

Daddy Cat says, OH, THAT'S BRILLIANT, CANDY, BUT DON'T HANG UP THE PHONE.

[Everyone sniffing, upbeat music plays, whooshing, footsteps pattering]

Everyone shuts their eyes and follows the scent. Daddy Cat and the kittens run past each other in the foyer to different hallways.

In the restaurant, the kittens say, DADDY!

The kittens hug Daddy Cat.

[Daddy Cat chuckling, light music plays]

Daddy Cat says, OH, THERE YOU ARE!

The kittens say, MOMMY!

They run to Mommy Cat and hug her.

Mommy Cat says, WHAT HAPPENED? YOU WEREN'T UP IN THE ROOM WHEN I GOT THERE, SO I THOUGHT YOU MUST HAVE COME DOWN TO EAT. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Daddy Cat says, IT'S A LONG STORY, MY DEAR. WHY DON'T I TELL YOU IT WHEN I HAVE A FULL STOMACH.

Mommy Cat says, WELL, IT JUST SO HAPPENS, I ALREADY ORDERED THE PUMPKIN PIE AND IT SMELLS DELICIOUS!

Daddy Cat says, MMMMM.

[Sniffing]

A plate contains a piece of partially eaten pie. The pie is on a plate in the middle of a table.

[Light music continues]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Rustling, gentle music plays]

Everyone eats pie.

The narrator says, AND THAT'S HOW THE KITTENS LEARNED IT'S BEST TO DISCOVER NEW PLACES WITH YOUR PARENTS, SO THAT YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHERE TO FIND EACH OTHER.
