[Cheerful music plays]

A path leads up a grassy hill to a town of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and bow.

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirp]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE, HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY. LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Title: “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Episode title: “Cookie’s Car.”

[Chiming, birds chirping, door opening and closing, upbeat music plays]

Fluffy blue clouds float in the blue sky above the Kid-E-Cats’ yellow and red two-storey house.

The narrator says, ONE DAY, DADDY WAS GETTING READY TO GO TO WORK.

[Cookie imitating a car engine, rustling, slamming]

Pudding and Candy sit in the backseat of the car, and Cookie sits in the driver’s seat. Daddy Cat puts a stack of papers in the trunk and closes it.

Cookie says, BEEP, BEEP!

[Kittens laughing, birds chirping]

Daddy Cat says, ALL RIGHT, KITTENS, TIME FOR ME TO LEAVE.

Cookie says, DADDY, CAN I DRIVE THE CAR INSTEAD OF YOU?

Daddy Cat says, COOKIE, YOU KNOW KITTENS AREN'T ALLOWED TO DRIVE. YOU CAN DRIVE A CAR WHEN YOU'RE ALL GROWN UP.

Cookie says, NO FAIR! I WISH I COULD DRIVE!

[Footsteps rustling]

Daddy Cat walks the kittens to the fence around the house.

Daddy Cat says, DON'T BE SAD, LITTLE ONE. SOMEDAY YOU'LL BE OLD ENOUGH AND YOU CAN DRIVE AROUND IN YOUR VERY OWN CAR.

[Car engine rumbling]

Daddy Cat drives away.

Daddy Cat says, BYE-BYE!

Cookie says, BUT GROWING UP TAKES FOREVER. I JUST REALLY WANT TO DRIVE!

Candy says, WHAT ABOUT THAT NEW PLAYGROUND? CHEESE SAID IT HAS A LITTLE CAR JUST FOR KITTENS. WHY DON'T WE GO CHECK IT OUT?

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays, engine revving]

In a thought bubble, the kittens jump into a red convertible, and Cookie drives away.

Cookie says, REALLY?! LET'S GO RIGHT NOW! I WANT TO FEEL THE WIND IN MY FUR.

[Slide whistle, popping]

The thought bubble disappears.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

The narrator says, SO, THE KITTENS ASKED THEIR MOMMY TO TAKE THEM TO THE NEW PLAYGROUND AT THE PARK.

In the new playground, the kittens look at a small car on a spring. Behind the trees, a Ferris wheel turns.

Cookie says, THAT'S NOT REALLY A CAR. I WAS HOPING IT WOULD BE LIKE A REAL LIVE CAR, BUT JUST A SMALL ONE.

Pudding asks, WHY DON'T YOU TRY IT? MAYBE IT COULD BE A LOT OF FUN.

[Footsteps rustling, spring squeaking, creaking, rattling]

Cookie pushes the car, jumps in, and turns the steering wheel.

Cookie says, DOESN'T EVEN GO ANYWHERE!

[Leaves rustling]

Candy picks up two branches.

Candy says, WE CAN PRETEND.

[Candy and Pudding imitating a car engine, squeaking]

Pudding pushes the car, and Cookie smiles.

[Slide whistle, giggling, car engine humming, light music plays]

In a thought bubble, Cookie imagines driving the red convertible.

Cookie says, HEY!

[Slide whistle, popping, creaking, squeaking]

The thought bubble disappears.

Cookie says, AND IT DOESN'T BEEP!

Mommy Cat says, BEEP, BEEP!

[Candy and Pudding giggling, creaking, clunking]

Cookie stands and hops out of the car.

Cookie says, WELL, THANKS FOR TRYING. BUT IT'S STILL NOT THE SAME THING AS ACTUALLY DRIVING. I WANT A COOL CAR!

Mommy Cat says, HMM, COOKIE, I JUST MIGHT HAVE AN IDEA.

[Birds chirping, box rustling, upbeat music plays, scissors snipping, paint squelching, clicking]

At the Kid-E-Cats’ house, Mommy Cat puts a large box on the floor and opens the flaps. She cuts off the flaps, draws a wheel, and cuts it out. Cookie and Pudding paint the box. Mommy Cat paints a wheel and gives it to Candy, who glues it to the side of the box. Cookie paints two white headlights on the front of the red box with yellow lightning on the side. Pudding attaches a horn to a steering wheel.

Cookie says, THANKS, IT'S AWESOME!

[Whooshing, horn tooting]

Cookie sits behind the steering wheel and squeezes the horn. Candy and Pudding jump into the back of the box.

[Footsteps rustling]

The kittens lift the box off the floor and walk.

Candy says, LET'S ALL WALK AT THE SAME TIME. ONE, TWO.

Candy and Pudding say, ONE, TWO. ONE AND TWO.

Cookie says, TIME FOR SOME SUPER SPEED! LET'S GO!

[Laughing, imitating a car engine, upbeat music plays, door opening, toy car creaking]

The kittens run across the main floor of the house, then outside and through the playground. Their friends stop and stare.

[Rain pattering, light music plays]

Rain falls, and the kittens stop running.

The kittens say, WHOA! HUH?

Cookie says, STORM, LET'S GO HOME.

Pudding says, OKAY.

[Door squeaking, slamming]

The kittens run home.

Mommy Cat says, GLAD YOU'RE BACK. ARE YOU ALL WET?

Pudding says, WE'RE OKAY, BUT THE CAR, NOT SO MUCH.

[Squelching, horn tooting, door opening, umbrella rustling, rain pattering, door shutting]

In the foyer, the car collapses in a puddle. Daddy Cat opens the front door and closes an umbrella. He walks inside and looks at the kittens.

Daddy Cat says, AH, PHEW! QUITE THE SHOWER. KITTENS, WHY DO YOU ALL LOOK SO SAD?

Candy says, OUR CARDBOARD CAR GOT RAINED ON, AND LOOK, NOW IT'S RUINED!

Cookie says, AND IT WAS SO AWESOME. I DROVE IT EVERYWHERE LIKE A REAL CAR.

Daddy Cat says, YEAH, THAT IS QUITE THE CONUNDRUM, BUT WOULD YOU FEEL BETTER IF I TOLD YOU I GOT US ALL TICKETS TO THE THEME PARK?

[Whooshing]

He spins the umbrella.

Daddy Cat says, THERE'S LOTS OF THINGS TO RIDE THERE, INCLUDING CAROUSELS WITH LITTLE CARS.

Cookie says, REALLY? OH, THANK YOU, DADDY! THOUGH I REALLY DID LIKE OUR CARDBOARD CAR A LOT.

[Chiming]

Candy says, I HAVE A REALLY GREAT IDEA. AFTER WE HAVE FUN AT THE THEME PARK, WE'LL MAKE A NEW CARDBOARD CAR, LIKE THE ONE BEFORE.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Energetic music plays, squeaking, creaking]

At the theme park, people ride a swing ride, and a roller coaster goes around a loop.

The narrator says, AFTER THE RAIN STOPPED AND THE SUN CAME OUT, THE WHOLE FAMILY WENT TO THE THEME PARK TOGETHER.

At the gate, Daddy Cat gives an attendant the tickets.

The family sings, GET OUT THE TICKETS 'CAUSE IT'S TIME TO PLAY. THE THEME PARK'S GREAT, GONNA SPEND THE WHOLE DAY. WHAT SHOULD WE GO ON? THERE'S SO MUCH TO DECIDE

[Train whistle tooting]

The family rides on a mini train.

Daddy Cat sings, AND EVEN GROWNUPS WANT TO COME RIDE.

The family sings, THE THEME PARK IS OPEN FOR ANYONE. 'CAUSE NOTHING BEATS SOME FAMILY FUN.

[Whirring, dinging, energetic music continues]

Daddy hits a button with a mallet on a strength tester. The family rides down a long slide. They ride in cars around the carousel.

The family sings, SOMETIMES THE RIDE IS WAY UP HIGH IN THE SKY. SO MANY THINGS THAT WE'RE READY TO TRY. THERE'S NO DENYING IT'S LIKE WE'RE FLYING. AS WE'RE ALL RIDING OUR CAROUSEL. IT FEELS SO LOVELY WITH CLOUDS ABOVE ME. WE'RE WITH THE FAMILY WE LOVE SO WELL.

[Slide whistle]

In a thought bubble, everyone imagines riding in a flying car.

The family sings, LET'S DRIVE.

The narrator says, AND THAT'S HOW COOKIE LEARNED THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR FAMILY, AND A LITTLE IMAGINATION.

[Upbeat music plays]
