Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Title: “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Episode title: “The Octopus.”

[Chiming, water splashing, upbeat music plays]

A river flows between palm trees.

The narrator says, ONE DAY, THE KITTENS WENT TO A WATER PARK WITH THEIR PARENTS.

The family walks on a beach wearing their bathing suits.

The kittens say, WOW!

Cookie says, THIS LOOKS SO FUN!

Candy says, IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

Cookie says, COME ON, LET'S GO ON THE GIANT WATERSLIDE!

Mommy Cat says, HOLD ON, COOKIE. YOU HAVE TO PUT ON YOUR FLOATIES. HERE YOU GO, DEAR.

[Rustling, creaking]

The kittens put on their floaties.

Cookie says, WOW, I CAN HARDLY WAIT. THAT WATERSLIDE IS GIGANTIC.

[Scraping]

Someone rides in the gigantic tube waterslide.

The slider shouts, YEEHAW!

[Laughing, splashing]

Daddy Cat says, THAT SLIDE IS JUST FOR GROWNUP CATS, COOKIE. THERE'S A SPECIAL SLIDE FOR KITTENS RIGHT OVER THERE. IT'S MORE SHALLOW, AND MUCH SAFER.

[Light music plays]

On the beach, a small tube attached to playground equipment leads to a small round pool.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Splashing]

Pudding says, HEY, LOOK, YOU GUYS! IT'S MUSTARD!

The kittens asks, HOW ARE YOU DOING, MUSTARD?

Mustard says, I'M FINE.

[Splashing, bright music plays]

Mustard slides down the kitten slide. She then sits on the pool's edge and puts a pink octopus beside her.

Candy says, YOUR LITTLE OCTOPUS IS SO CUTE.

Mustard says, THANKS, CANDY. I THINK SO TOO.

Candy asks, CAN I PLAY WITH HER FOR AWHILE?

Mustard replies, OKAY, SURE, BUT BE EXTRA CAREFUL. SHE'S MY MOST FAVOURITE TOY.

[Octopus creaking]

Mustard gives Candy the octopus.

Candy says, THANK YOU SO MUCH, MUSTARD! I'LL PLAY WITH HER FOR A LITTLE BIT AND GIVE HER RIGHT BACK.

[Rustling, Daddy Cat chuckling, slide whistle, splashing]

At the top of the gigantic waterslide, Daddy Cat adjusts his swimsuit. He slides down the slide and lands in the adult pool.

Daddy Cat says, OH! OOF!

[Mommy Cat laughing]

On the beach, Mommy Cat and Mustard’s mommy sit at a table by a café. The kittens run around the table. Candy carries the octopus.

Mommy Cat says, SO TRUE!

Mustard’s mommy says, YOU'RE TELLING ME.

[Grunting, laughing, splashing]

The kittens run up a ladder and slide into the kitten pool.

Candy says, WHOO!

[Water spraying, flowing water, ball thumping]

Candy puts the octopus on a fountain and floats on the water. She puts it in the river and watches it float. Later, Candy, Pudding, and Cookie play beach volleyball. Mustard arrives, and the ball lands on the sand.
Mustard says, HEY, CANDY, YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH MY OCTOPUS A LONG TIME NOW. I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WOULD GIVE HER RIGHT BACK.

[Water flowing, light music plays]

Candy says, HUH? I GUESS I MUST HAVE LEFT HER SOMEWHERE! COOKIE, PUDDING, HAVE YOU SEEN MUSTARD'S OCTOPUS?

Cookie and Pudding say, HMM, UHUH.

[Mustard gasping]

Mustard says, MY FAVOURITEST TOY IN THE WHOLE WORLD IS MISSING!

Candy says, I'M SORRY, MUSTARD, DON'T BE SAD. WE'LL FIND HER, I PROMISE YOU. COOKIE, PUDDING, WILL YOU HELP US FIND HER?

Cookie and Pudding nod and say, MMHMM.

Mustard says, BUT HOW ARE WE GONNA FIND HER IN A BIG WATER PARK LIKE THIS?

Cookie says, YEAH, THAT LITTLE BABY OCTOPUS COULD BE HIDING ANYWHERE.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays, tablecloth rustling]

In a thought bubble, Mommy Cat reads a book on a couch while Daddy Cat lifts the bottom of a tablecloth.

Pudding says, WHEN DADDY LOST HIS TELEPHONE, MOMMY HELPED HIM FIND IT REAL FAST.

Daddy Cat says, HEY, SWEETIE, HAVE YOU SEEN MY PHONE?

Mommy Cat says, HUH, I HAVEN'T, DEAR, BUT I'LL GIVE IT A CALL AND WE'LL FOLLOW THE RING.

[Dialling, cell phone ringing]

Daddy Cat says, HUH, UH...OH, THANKS, SWEETIE, I FOUND IT!

[Slide whistle, popping]

Daddy Cat takes his cell phone out of his pocket. The thought bubble disappears.

Cookie says, HEY, WHY DON'T WE DO THAT?

Candy says, BUT YOU CAN'T JUST CALL AN OCTOPUS TOY, CAN YOU?

[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays, ringing, vibrating, slide whistle, popping]

In a thought bubble, Cookie imagines calling the toy. The octopus shakes in a bush, and the thought bubble disappears.

[Water flowing, upbeat music plays]

Pudding says, I THINK THE BEST WAY TO FIND MUSTARD'S TOY IS TO USE DETECTIVE WORK. WE'LL GO WHEREVER CANDY'S BEEN AND LOOK FOR CLUES.

Candy says, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA, PUDDING! NOW, FIRST I WENT FOR A SWIM IN THIS POOL. MAYBE SHE GOT WATERLOGGED OR SOMETHING AND DIDN'T COME BACK UP.

[Mustard gasping, Cookie inhaling, water splashing, exhaling]

Cookie jumps into the pool and looks underwater. He resurfaces and shakes his head.

Cookie says, UHUH.

Candy says, NEXT I WENT DOWN THE SLIDE.

At the top of the waterslide, Mustard says, UHUH.

[Water splashing]

Pudding sticks his head out of the bottom of the slide, and Cookie stands in the kitten pool.

Cookie and Pudding say, UHUH.

[Water spraying]

The kittens and Mustard search around the fountain.

Candy says, I PLAYED AT THE FOUNTAIN TOO BUT SHE'S NOT HERE! AND THEN I HAD SOME JUICE WITH MOM.

[Upbeat music plays, water flowing]

The kittens search the sand around Mommy Cat and Mustard‘s Mommy. Candy runs to the edge of the river.

Candy says, I PLAYED IN THE RIVER, BUT NOT FOR LONG.

[Thumping, water flowing]

Mustard picks up the ball.

Mustard says, NO OCTOPUS HERE. WHERE DID YOU GO NEXT, CANDY?

Candy says, THAT WAS ALL, THEN I WENT BACK TO THE POOL.

Mustard says, OH NO, IT LOOKS LIKE MY SWEET LITTLE OCTOPUS MAY BE GONE FOREVER.

[Thumping]

Mustard drops the ball, and it bounces into the river.

Pudding says, WHOA, INTERESTING. THIS HAS A CURRENT JUST LIKE A REAL RIVER.

[Thumping]

Candy takes the ball out of the river.

Candy says, I HAVE A REALLY GOOD IDEA. I'LL BET SHE GOT SWEPT AWAY BY THE CURRENT! MAYBE WE'LL FIND MISS OCTOPUS IF WE FOLLOW IT.

[Birds chirping, upbeat music plays, water splashing, Mommy Cat and Mustard’s mommy panting, splashing, light music plays]

The kittens and Mustard ride floaties down the river. They float past birds, butterflies, and jumping fish. On the shore, Mommy Cat and Mustard’s mommy follow the kittens and Mustard. Further down the river, the octopus lies on the shore. Mustard jumps off her floatie and picks up her octopus.

Mustard says, OH, MISS OCTOPUS, I FOUND YOU!

[Kittens cheering]

Mustard says, THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR HELPING ME RESCUE MISS OCTOPUS.

Candy says, MUSTARD, I'M SORRY I WAS SO CARELESS.

Mustard says, IT'S ALL RIGHT, MISS OCTOPUS TOLD ME SHE LOVES ADVENTURES. AND I WOULDN'T HAVE FOUND HER WITHOUT YOU, AFTER ALL.

[Water flowing, happy music plays]

Daddy Cat arrives carrying a bowl of fruit.

Daddy Cat says, LOOK, KITTENS, I GOT US A SPECIAL TREAT AT THE PARK CAFE!

[Happy music plays, splashing]

In the water, the kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

Everyone sits at the table and eats fruit.

The narrator says, AND THAT'S HOW THE KITTENS LEARNED TO USE LOGIC TO HELP THEM FIND THINGS THAT THEY LOST, AND FROM THEN ON, CANDY WAS EXTRA CAREFUL WHEN SHE BORROWED HER FRIENDS' TOYS.
