[Cheerful music plays]

A path leads up a grassy hill to a town of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and bow.

[Upbeat music plays, birds chirp]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE, HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY. LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING! KID-E-CATS!

Title: “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie and Pudding say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Episode title: “Cat of All Trades.”

[Chiming, clunking, upbeat music plays]

At the playground, Cookie sits at the top of a slide, holding a toy dump truck. Candy puts a cup on the ground at the end of the slide, and Pudding leans a board against the cup, creating a ramp.

The narrator says, ONE DAY, THE KITTENS WERE PLAYING WITH THEIR TOY CAR.

Pudding says, ALL READY.

Cookie says, OKAY, ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!

[Whooshing]

Cookie lets go of the toy, and it drives down the slide and up the ramp.

BOTH: ALL RIGHT!

[Clattering, kittens groaning, birds chirping, music stops, banging]

A wheel falls off the toy dump truck. The kittens run to it, and Cookie picks up the toy and the wheel.

Pudding says, THE WHEEL CAME OFF OUR BRAND-NEW TOY CAR!

[Pudding whimpering]

Cookie says, MAYBE DADDY WILL BUY US A NEW CAR!

[Slide whistle, serious music plays, clunking]

In a thought bubble, Cookie imagines Daddy Cat looking at the car and returning the pieces to Cookie.

Daddy Cat says, NOW, KITTENS, I JUST BOUGHT YOU ONE YESTERDAY. I CAN'T BUY YOU A BRAND-NEW CAR EVERY DAY, CAN I?

[Slide whistle, popping]

The thought bubble pops.

On a nearby bench, Dart puts down his book and walks to the kittens.

Dart says, LET ME SEE IT. AH HAH.

[Popping, creaking]

Dart puts the wheel back on the toy.

The kittens say, WHOA, WOW!

Cookie says, ALL RIGHT, YOU'RE THE BEST, DART!

[Birds chirping]

Dart says, MY DADDY SAYS YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ATTEMPT TO FIX BROKEN THINGS BEFORE YOU GO ON BUYING NEW ONES.

Candy says, YEAH, SURE, BUT OUR TOYS ARE ALWAYS BREAKING.

[Slide whistle, creaking, cracking, slide whistle, birds chirping]

In a thought bubble, the wheel falls off the toy truck, a toy airplane crashes on the ground, the wings break off, a ball deflates, and a toy house falls apart. The thought bubble disappears.

Candy says, IF ONLY THERE WERE A PLACE WHERE WE COULD BRING THEM TO BE FIXED.

Cookie says, MAYBE WE COULD OPEN OUR OWN PLACE LIKE THAT. DART, YOU COULD BE OUR MAIN REPAIRMAN!

[Toy clattering]

Cookie puts the toy truck on the ground.

Cookie asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Dart says, OH, WELL, I DON'T KNOW. WE COULD GIVE IT A TRY.

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Happy music continues, door opens and closes, marker scratching, paper rustling, door opening and closing, birds chirping]

The kittens run home. Pudding and Candy carry a table out. Cookie follows behind with a marker and a notepad. At the playground, Dart poses on the bench, and Cookie sketches him. At the kittens' house, flyers with the sketch of Dart print and Pudding picks them up. Each of the kittens leaves the house carrying a stack of flyers. They hang fliers on fences and playground equipment.

Dart says, HMM, HOW COME MY FRONT PAWS LOOK LIKE WRENCHES, COOKIE?

Cookie says, SO ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS WILL KNOW YOU'RE NOT JUST A REGULAR KITTEN, BUT A CAT OF ALL TRADES!

At the playground, Mustard arrives carrying a caterpillar toy.

Mustard says, HI THERE. CAN YOU REALLY FIX ALL MY TOYS HERE?

Cookie says, THAT'S RIGHT, ALL OF YOUR TOYS WILL BE QUICKLY AND RELIABLY REPAIRED BY OUR VERY OWN CAT OF ALL TRADES, DART.

Mustard says, OKAY, I BROUGHT MY CATERPILLAR. HER HEAD CAME OFF, SEE?

[Rustling]

Candy takes the caterpillar toy and puts it on the table.

Candy says, YOU CAN LEAVE HER RIGHT HERE. JUST COME BACK IN AN HOUR AND SHE'LL BE ALL READY.

Dart says, AN HOUR? UH...

Pudding says, LOOK, YOU GUYS! SMUDGE IS BRINGING ONE OF HIS TOYS.

Smudge says, THE PAINT CAME OFF OF MY BABY TURTLE FRIEND. CAN YOU FIX HIM UP?

[Birds chirping, light music plays]

Pudding takes the toy turtle and puts it on the table.

Pudding says, YOU BET, JUST COME BACK IN AN HOUR.

[Pudding chuckling, clunking]

Dart says, BUT I…

[Ballet music plays]

Cupcake says, MY WINDUP BALLERINA KITTY WON'T DANCE ANYMORE.

Cookie says, NO WORRIES, CUPCAKE. JUST DROP HER OFF HERE AND SHE'LL BE PIROUETTING BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.

Cupcake puts the ballerina on the table.

Dart says, I'M NOT SURE I CAN…

Candy says, IN THE MEANTIME, LET'S ALL GO BACK HOME. WE CAN PRINT OUT SOME MORE OF OUR POSTERS.

[Upbeat music plays, clunking, swinging creaking]

Cookie leans a flyer on a pole against the table, and the kittens leave. Dart looks at the toys on the table. Later, the kittens return to the playground with more flyers. Dart is gone, and Mustard stands beside the table with her hands on her hips. Cupcake taps her foot, and Smudge paces.

[Serious music plays]

Mustard asks, WHERE DID YOUR REPAIRMAN GO? IT'S BEEN MORE THAN AN HOUR, AND MY CATERPILLAR STILL DOESN'T HAVE A HEAD!

Cupcake says, MY BALLERINA IS STILL NOT DANCING!

Smudge says, AND WHAT ABOUT MY TURTLE?

Pudding says, UH, MAYBE EXTRATERRESTRIALS FROM OUTER SPACE FOUND OUT DART CAN FIX THINGS AND ABDUCTED HIM SO HE COULD FIX THEIR FLYING SAUCER.

[Slide whistle, gibbering]

In a thought bubble, an alien floats down to the playground and holds a flyer.

Dart says, UH HUH...

[Gibbering, steam hissing, clanking, whirring, slide whistle, popping]

The alien points to a shaking, flying saucer emitting puffs of smoke. Dart and the alien float up to the flying saucer, and the thought bubble disappears.

Cookie says, HEY, HERE COMES DART. DID YOU FIX THE ALIENS' FLYING SAUCER?

[Rustling, sad music notes play]

A flyer falls off the slide, and Dart picks it up.

Dart says, I DIDN'T FIX ANY FLYING SAUCER. IN FACT, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX ANYTHING.

[Rustling, birds singing]

Cookie takes the flyer from Dart.

Cookie says, BUT THAT ISN'T TRUE, YOU FIXED OUR TOY CAR, DIDN'T YOU?

Dart says, SURE, BUT I DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW TO SEW HEADS ON STUFFED CATERPILLARS, OR FIX BALLERINAS, OR PAINT TURTLES. I TRIED TO TELL YOU ALL, BUT NOBODY WOULD LISTEN.

[Dart sighing sadly, flyers rustling]

Pudding, Candy, and Cookie put flyers on the ground.

The kittens say, WE'RE REALLY SORRY, DART.

Mustard says, SO, WHO'S GONNA FIX MY CATERPILLAR FRIEND?

Pudding says, HMM, I'LL ASK MY MOMMY. I BET SHE COULD SEW IT FOR YOU.

Mustard says, REALLY? WOW, AWESOME!

Mustard picks up Smudge’s toy turtle.

Mustard says, OH, AND I THINK WE MIGHT HAVE SOME SPECIAL WOOD PAINT AT HOME. MY MOMMY AND I CAN PAINT YOUR TURTLE FOR YOU IF YOU WANT.

[Scraping]

Cupcake picks up her windup ballerina.

Cupcake says, WHAT ABOUT MY BALLERINA?

[Birds chirping]

Dart takes the ballerina.

Dart says, YOUR BALLERINA'S MECHANISM IS KIND OF COMPLEX, CUPCAKE. BUT I THINK MY DAD CAN FIX IT FOR YOU.

Candy says, I HAVE A GREAT IDEA! HOW ABOUT WHENEVER ONE OF US HAS A TOY THAT BREAKS, WE ALL ASK FOR HELP AND THEN FIX THEM FOR EACH OTHER?

Mustard says, RIGHT, THAT WAY THERE WON'T BE SO MANY BROKEN TOYS!

[Happy music plays]

The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

They hold hands and sing, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW, MEWOW!

[Happy music continues]

Mommy Cat sews the head on the caterpillar toy and gives it to Mustard. Dart’s dad fixes the windup ballerina. He puts her on a table, and she dances. Mustard’s mommy paints Smudge’s turtle.

The narrator says, AND SO, THE KITTENS LEARNED THAT EVERYONE HAS A UNIQUE SKILL THAT JUST MIGHT COME IN HANDY, AND THAT IF YOU SHARE THOSE SKILLS AND HELP EACH OTHER, THERE WILL BE FEWER BROKEN THINGS IN THE WORLD. OH, AND YOU WON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BUY NEW ONES.
