Chase says, UH HUH, WHEN I GET OLDER. IN THE MEANTIME, I'LL BE IN TRAINING.
Candy says, MAYBE WE CAN HELP YOU TRAIN.
[Happy music plays]
The kittens say, SO AWESOME.

[Backpack rattling, kittens sighing, thunking]
Chase puts on a fedora and a backpack. He leans two long sticks together over his head. He leans more sticks together and puts leaves over them.
The narrator says, FIRST, CHASE TAUGHT HIMSELF HOW TO BUILD A SHELTER OUT OF WOOD.
[Flapping, branches clanking]
Chase crawls inside his shelter, and a bird lands on the top. The sticks fall around him.
Chase says, HUH?!
[Sighing]

The kittens arrive behind Chase, wearing leaves as hats and clothes. Cookie uses a walking stick.
Cookie says, HELLO THERE, EXPLORER! WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU TO THE COUNTRY OF, UH, TAILARIA!
Chase says, NO WAY, I'M IN TAILARIA?
Pudding says, YOU'LL NEED TO BUILD YOURSELF A SHELTER, AND WE CAN SHOW YOU HOW.

Cookie gives Chase a device, and a Round the World Cat video plays. In the video, cats use ropes to climb tall trees.
Round the World Cat says, I LEARNED THIS GREAT METHOD OF CLIMBING TREES FROM MY NEW FRIENDS IN THE FOREST CAT TRIBE.
[Rustling]
Chase returns the device to Cookie, who tucks it under his leaves.
Chase says, OH, I FORGOT THAT! 'ROUND THE WORLD CAT ALWAYS LEARNS FROM THE PEOPLE HE MEETS ALONG THE WAY. SURE, YOU CAN SHOW ME!
The narrator says, THE KITTENS HAD LEARNED HOW TO BUILD A STURDY SHELTER FROM GRANDPA, SO THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING.
[Rustling, croaking, Cookie laughing, door creaking, slamming, teeter totter squeaking, leaves rustling, upbeat music plays]
The kittens help Chase build the shelter and collect leaves. Chase falls on his bottom, and the frog jumps onto his head and away. Cookie runs home and leaves with an armful of apples. He puts them on playground equipment. Candy and Chase cover the shelter with broad leaves.
Chase says, WOW, THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME SHELTER! THANKS, YOU GUYS!
The kittens say, YOU'RE VERY WELCOME, CHASE THE EXPLORER!

Cookie and Chase take the apples off the teeter-totter. Candy finds the apple on the slide. Chase finds apples in a tree. Cookie pours water from a bottle over an apple. The kittens and Chase sit by the shelter and eat their apples.
Pudding says, WELL, WHAT DO YOU KNOW? A TAILARIAN APPLE GREW RIGHT OUT OF MY HEAD!
[Rustling, everyone laughing, tablet buzzing, water splashing, backpack rattling]
Chase pours water on an apple.
Chase says, HUH? WHOA, 'ROUND THE WORLD CAT POSTED A NEW VIDEO.

In the video, Round the World Cat paddles a raft.
Round the World Cat says, FOLKS, I'LL BE SPENDING THE NEXT MONTH ON A DESERT ISLAND ALL BY MY LONESOME. HAVE A FEELING THIS IS GOING TO BE REALLY CHALLENGING.

Chase says, OH, I'M SORRY, TAILARIANS, BUT SINCE 'ROUND THE WORLD CAT IS ON A DESERT ISLAND WITHOUT HELP, I THINK I HAVE TO TRY TO DO THINGS ON MY OWN FOR AWHILE.
Cookie says, YEAH? WELL, OKAY, CHASE THE EXPLORER.
The kittens say, BYE-BYE.

[Thunder booming, clock ticking]
Later, the kittens sit on a couch and watch television in their living room. Daddy Cat peers out the window.
Daddy Cat says, HUH, I THINK THERE MIGHT BE SOME RAIN COMING. THAT SKY IS LOOKING DARK.
[Cookie gasping]
Cookie says, AND CHASE IS STILL SITTING OUTSIDE IN HIS SHELTER!
Pudding says, IN A STORM!
[Slide whistle, rain pattering, leaves rustling, exciting music plays, slide whistle, popping]
In a thought bubble, Pudding imagines Chase shivering in his shelter. The leaves blow away, and the thought bubble disappears.
Pudding says, IT WON'T LAST VERY LONG.
Candy says, I'VE GOT A REALLY GOOD IDEA. LET'S ALL GO OUTSIDE AND RESCUE HIM, BECAUSE HE'S NOT JUST CHASE THE EXPLORER. HE'S OUR FRIEND, TOO!

The kittens jump off the couch and run to the front door. Mommy Cat opens the door and walks into the house.

[Thunder rumbling, leaves rustling, Chase whimpering, rain pattering, soft music plays]
At the shelter, Chase looks uneasily at the storm clouds gathering above him. He crosses his arms as rain falls. The kittens arrive beneath Daddy Cat’s umbrella.
Cookie asks, ARE YOU OKAY? WE KNOW YOU WANTED TO DO YOUR ADVENTURE ON YOUR OWN.
[Leaves rustling]
Leaves blow off the shelter.
Pudding says, BUT WE COULDN'T JUST SIT AT HOME KNOWING YOU WERE OUT IN THIS AWFUL STORM.
Candy says, THAT'S WHY WE CAME TO RESCUE YOU, CHASE.
Chase says, WHOA, THANK GOODNESS YOU CAME BACK FOR ME!
[Leaves rustling, rain pattering, plopping]
Chase puts on his backpack and follows the kittens. Behind them, the shelter collapses. Everyone smiles as the frog hops away from the shelter. They wave.
The narrator says, AND SO THE KITTENS LEARNED THAT ACCEPTING HELP FROM OTHERS IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING. AND CHASE DECIDED THAT ONE DAY, WHEN HE BECOMES A REAL EXPLORER, HE WOULD TAKE HIS FRIENDS WITH HIM.
