[Whistling]

Messy, a furry blue monster with a red nose and a blue tail, whistles.

[Upbeat music plays]

Messy hops into a white and blue convertible, Okidoodle. He presses a green button on the dashboard.

Singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy sings, FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT
TO KNOW.

The singers sing, LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.

Messy drives through the countryside past a pond and down a road with dancing trees.

He sings, OKIDO, OKIDO.

The singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO.

Messy drives through Okido, a large city with tall, colourful buildings.

He sings, ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT
TO KNOW.

Messy drives onto a loop de loop and underwater.

He sings, COME ALONG AND SAY HELLO.
LET'S GO SEE OUR FRIENDS!

Messy runs into a cloud shaped flying ship, the cloud ship. Inside, he joins a blue haired boy who wears a striped, blue shirt and blue hat.

Messy shouts, FELIX!

The singers sing, IN OKIDO.

A red haired girl wearing red overalls and a red hat waves to Messy.

Messy shouts, ZOE!

Zoe high-fives Messy.

The singers sing, IN OKIDO.

Messy cheers, ZIM, ZAM, ZOOM!

The singers sing, IN OKIDO.

Zim, who has a square shaped body and computer face appears with Zam, a green triangle, and Zoom, a pink creature. Zam’s science experiment explodes, filling the room with smoke.

Messy sings, BA-BA-LA-LA, BOOM-BOOM!

In Okido, Messy dances down a street with his friends.

The singers sing, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO,
LET'S ALL GO TO OKIDO.
FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED
TO KNOW.

Messy looks through a magnifying glass.

He sings with the others, MESSY GOES TO OKIDO!

Zoom transforms into a screen that reveals the title, Messy Goes to Okido. Messy jumps beside the screen and smiles.

[Chirping]

Outdoors, Messy runs down a stone path. The episode title reads, Me & My Shadow. Written by Dan Berlinka & Sean Carson.

[Messy panting]

Messy runs the other way down the path.

He says, OH, I LOVE RUNNING!
I'M SUPER FAST!

Running back and forth, Messy spots his shadow on the grass around the stones.

He says, HEY, SHADOW!
STOP FOLLOWING ME.

He runs into a back yard and jumps off a planter.

He says, CAN'T CATCH ME!

Messy’s shadow follows him off the planet.

He says, OH, YOU CAN.
STOP IT, GO AWAY!
STOP COPYING ME!
WHY DO YOU KEEP FOLLOWING ME
EVERYWHERE?

Messy watches his shadow.

He says, HMM, WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW, GO
TO OKIDO!

[Magical music plays]

A green and white tunnel transports Messy to Okido, where he falls through the sky onto spring platforms and off a trampoline onto the ground outside Zoe and Felix’s garage. Messy spots his shadow.

He says, OH, YOU MADE THE TRIP TOO, DID
YOU, SHADOW?
COME ON, THEN.

[Drumming]

Messy walks toward the house.

He says, OH!

On the side of the house, shadows look like animals.

Messy says, MORE SHADOWS!
A RABBIT AND A BIRD!

Felix and Zoe say, HI, MESSY!

Messy turns around.

[Zoe gasping]

[Zoe giggling]

On a platform in a tree, Felix and Zoe look down at Messy while they make different shapes with their hands.

Messy says, ZOE, FELIX!
HAVE YOU SEEN THESE SHADOWS?

He points to the house.

Felix says, YES, WE MADE THEM!

Zoe says, WITH OUR HANDS.
THEY'RE SHADOW PUPPETS.
LOOK!

Messy looks back at the shadows on the house, the shadow puppets.

He says, BA-LA-BA-LA BOOM-BOOM!
I WANT TO TRY, I WANT TO TRY!

He jumps up to the platform in the tree with Felix and Zoe.

He says, WATCH ME, WATCH ME!

[Felix giggling]

Messy raises his hands like claws.

He asks, WHAT DO I DO?

[Zoe giggling]

Zoe says, LOOK, I'LL SHOW YOU.

She brings her thumbs together and flaps her fingers like wings. Messy looks at the shadow puppet on the house.

[Zoe humming]

[Chirping]

Messy says, IT'S A...
AH, A BAT!

Felix says, AND HERE'S A SPIDER!

With his hands together, he wiggles his fingers. Messy looks at the shadow puppet on the house.

He says, OH, AND LOOK WHAT I'M MAKING!

He waves his hands.

Zoe asks, IS IT A BIRD?

Felix asks, IS IT A PLANE?

Messy says, NO, IT'S MY HANDS!

[Laughing]

The sky fills with clouds, blocking the sun.

Messy says, OH, WHAT HAPPENED?

Felix asks, WHERE HAVE ALL THE SHADOWS
GONE?

Messy jumps down to the ground and looks under a rock.

He says, HMM.

He checks the garden shed.

He says, HERE, SHADOW, SHADOW, SHADOW!
HERE, BOY!

Messy looks around a tree.

He says, HERE, SHADOW, SHADOW!
HERE, BOY!

He runs behind the house.

He shouts, SHADOW!

Zoe and Felix walk over.

Messy says, OH, I WAS JUST GETTING USED TO
HAVING HIM AROUND.
I CAN'T SEE OUR SHADOWS
ANYWHERE.
MAYBE ZIM AND ZAM KNOW WHERE
THEY'VE GONE.

[Messy whistling]

Okidoodle rolls out of the garage.

[Okidoodle honking]

Messy, Felix and Zoe jump in Okidoodle.

Messy says, LET'S SKIDOODLE, OKIDOODLE!

He drives to the city under the cloudy sky and into the tube elevator that takes the car to the cloud ship on the roof. In the ship, Zam dusts.

She says, YES, YES, IT'S ABOUT TIME WE
HAD A SPRING CLEAN OF THE PLACE.

[Loud whirring]

Using Zoom as a vacuum, Zim sucks up a sock off the floor.

[Zoom beeping]

Zoom spits out the sock and returns to their normal self.

Zim says, WE REALLY NEED TO GET A
PROPER VACUUM CLEANER.

Messy runs in with Zoe and Felix.

He says, HI, ZIM, ZAM, AND ZOOM!
WE'RE LOOKING FOR OUR SHADOWS!

He looks under Zim and Zam.

He says, WE THOUGHT THEY MIGHT HAVE
SNEAKED UP HERE.
HERE, SHADDY-SHADOW!
COME TO MESSY.

He runs around, looking for his shadow. He checks under the kitchen sink.

[Zam laughing]

Zam says, YOU WON'T FIND YOUR SHADOW
IN A CUPBOARD, MESSY.
IT'S TOO DARK.

Zam says, HUH, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

Zim says, IF YOU PLEASE, ZOOM.

[Zoom whirring]

Zoom transforms into a screen that shows Zim and Zam under the moon.

Zam explains, YOU WON'T FIND SHADOWS IN THE
DARK BECAUSE SHADOWS ARE CREATED
BY LIGHT.

Zim says, SHADOWS ARE FORMED WHENEVER A
SOLID OBJECT GETS IN THE WAY OF
WHERE A LIGHT IS COMING FROM.

The sun replaces the moon, shining brightly down on Zam and Zoom, creating their shadows, as well as one for a building in the distance.

Zim says, LIKE ME OR ZAM, OR A BUILDING.

Zam says, IF A CLOUD GETS IN THE WAY OF
THE LIGHT, THEN THE SHADOWS
DISAPPEAR.

Clouds cover the sun, and the shadows disappear. Zoom returns to normal.

Messy says, YEAH, THAT'S VERY INTERESTING
BUT HOW DO YOU BRING THE SHADOWS
BACK?
I WAS JUST LEARNING HOW TO MAKE
SHADOW PUPPETS.

Zim says, WELL, YOU NEED LIGHT, OF
COURSE.

Zam says, AND THE SUN IS STILL
HIDDEN BEHIND THE CLOUDS.

Outside, dark clouds block the sun.

[Groaning]

Zam says, BUT THERE IS THE OLD LIGHTHOUSE,
AND THAT'S GOT A VERY POWERFUL
LIGHT.

[Cheering]

Zim says, LET'S GO!

He presses a button flies the cloud ship through the sky to the beach, landing beside a lighthouse. Everyone walks out.

They all say, WOW!

Zim says, LOOK AT THAT!

He gazes up at the tall lighthouse.

Messy says, THIS WILL MAKE MEGA SHADOWS!

The group runs into the lighthouse.

[Heavy breathing]

At the top of the lighthouse, Zam reaches for a lever on a control panel.

She says, LET THERE BE LIGHT!

She turns on the light house light and it starts to turn, shining brightly.

[Whirring]

Messy says, YES, LOOK AT THAT!

Felix says, YEAH!

Zoe says, WOW, LOOK!

She, Felix and Messy hold their hands in front of the turning light, creating their shadow puppets.

Zoe says, MY BAT!

Felix says, MY SPIDER!

Messy says, MY HANDS!
OH, MAKE THE LIGHT STOP TURNING.
MAKE IT SHINE IN ONE PLACE!

He presses buttons on the control panel.

He says, MUST PRESS... BUTTONS!
STOP TURNING!

Zam says, NO, MESSY!

Zim says, DON'T!

[Alarm blaring]

The light turns faster.

Zoe says, IT'S NOT STOPPING!

Felis says, IT'S GOING FASTER!

Zam says, UH, ZIM, SEE IF YOU CAN STOP
IT.

Zim says, OH DEAR, WHY ME?!

Zam says, BECAUSE YOU'RE NEAREST.

Zim says, OH, UH...

He grabs onto a knob below the light, and it pulls him off his feet. He spins with the light.

[Zim yelping]
Zim wails, WHOA!

Zam grabs onto a knob behind Zim and is pulled off her feet.

She yelps, WOAH!

[Zim and Zam yelling]

Messy says, OOPS.

Messy, Zoe and Felix watch Zim and Zam spin around and around the lighthouse.

[Zim and Zam yelling]

The rapidly turning light throws Zim and Zam off the knobs and out the window.

[Zim and Zam shouting]

[Zoom chittering]

With a determined look, Zoom races out the window after Zim and Zam. Zoom transforms into an umbrella and catches them both.

[Grunting]

Zam says, OH, WE'RE SAFE.

Zim and Zam say, THANKS, ZOOM!

[Zoom chattering]

Zoom carries Zim and Zam back up the lighthouse. At the top, Zoe presses a red button, and the light stops turning as it shuts down.

[Whirring]

Messy says, WHOOPS, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT.
I SHOULDN'T HAVE PRESSED ALL
THOSE BUTTONS.

Zim says, WELL, NO LIGHTS MEANS YOUR
SHADOWS WILL HAVE GONE TOO.

Zoe says, NO, THEY HAVEN'T!

She points to a mountain.

She says, LOOK!

Messy looks down at his own shadow standing between Felix’s shadow and Zoe’s shadow on the side of the mountain.

He says, WOW!

Shadow Felix says, HIYA!

Shadow Zoe says, HI!

Shadow Messy says, HIYA, HOW YOU DOING?

Messy says, HEY, SHADOW, HOW COME YOU'RE
STILL HERE WHEN OUR BIG LIGHT'S
GONE OUT?

Shadow Messy says, WE GOT SPLIT
OFF WHEN THE LIGHTHOUSE BROKE!

Felix says, THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO
HAPPEN!

Shadow Zoe says, AND NOW WE'RE ON OUR OWN AND
WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

Shadow Felix says, WE LIKE FOLLOWING AND COPYING
PEOPLE.

Messy says, WAIT THERE, WE'LL COME DOWN
AND THEN WE CAN ALL JOIN UP
AGAIN.
SORRY FOR BREAKING THE
LIGHTBULB.

With Zoe and Felix, he runs past Zim and Zam and jumps down from the room as they search a light bulb box.

Zam says, NO PROBLEM.

Messy, Felix and Zoe run outside.

[Breathing heavily]

[Zoe and Felix gasping]

Zoe and Felix join Messy at the mountain side, where there are now 6 shadows.

Felix says, OH NO!
MORE SHADOWS GOT SPLIT OFF WHEN
THE LIGHT WENT WRONG!

Zoe says, WELL, HOW DO WE SORT THIS
OUT?

Messy says, YOU NEED TO GO HOME, SHADOWS!

A small robot shadow slides off the mountain and up to Messy.

Messy says, HMM, THAT DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT.

He hops around, dodging the mini robot.

[Zim and Zam breathing heavily]

Zim and Zam rush out of the lighthouse with Zoom.

Zim says, OH!

Zim and am both say, OH DEAR.

The mini robot shadow abandons Messy.

Messy says, HEY, COME BACK!

A robot and monster shadow with Felix and Zoe follow the mini shadow.

Felix and Zoe say, HUH?

The mini shadow copies Zam.

Zam says, OH, I JUST CAN'T... WELL, I
DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENED!

The robot shadow copies Zim.

Zim says, OH, NO, NO, NO, NO!
YOU'RE ALL MIXED UP!

The three shadows return to the mountain with Messy, Zoe and Felix’s shadows.

Zam says, NOW, YOU MUST RETURN THE
SHADOWS TO THEIR PROPER OWNERS.

Messy says, YES, BUT HOW?

Zim says, MATCH THE SHADOW TO THE
OBJECT OF THE SAME SHAPE.

Zam explains, A SHADOW IS AN EXACT COPY.

[Funky music plays]

Zim and Zam walk up to the shadows.

Zim says, YOU GO THERE.

The large robot shadow trades places with Messy’s shadow.

Zam says, NO, YOU BELONG THERE.
OH, FINALLY.

Messy, Zoe and Felix look down at the ground.

Messy cheers, HA-HA!

Zoe cheers, YEAH!

Messy cheers, WE'VE GOT THE RIGHT SHADOWS!

[Gasping]

Messy says, WE'RE BACK TO NORMAL!

A shadow asks, WHAT ABOUT US,
THOUGH?

Messy walks over to the other shadows with Zoe and Felix.

Zoe says, OH, WELL, WE HAVE TO FIND
THEIR OWNERS.

Zim says, THE CLOUD IS GONE AND
THE SUN IS BACK.

The dark clouds clear from the sky. The sun winks.

Zim continues, BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO HURRY, OUR
SHADOWS ARE ALL GETTING LONGER,
WHICH MEANS THERE WILL BE NO
LIGHT SOON.

Messy asks, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

Zim and Zam say, ZOOM?

[Zoom whirring]

Zoom transforms into a screen.

Zam explains, SHADOWS ARE LONGEST FIRST
THING IN THE MORNING.

Zim says, THAT'S BECAUSE THE SUN IS LOW
IN THE SKY.

Zam continues, AT NOON, WHEN THE SUN IS
OVERHEAD AND AT ITS HIGHEST,
THERE IS HARDLY ANY SHADOW AT
ALL.

Zoom shows the sun shining over Zim and Zam with their shadows.

Zim says, BUT AS THE DAY DRAWS TO AN
END, THE SUN GETS LOWER IN THE
SKY AND THE SHADOWS GET LONGER
AGAIN, UNTIL...

The sun sets and the shadows disappear.

Zam says, …THERE IS NO SUNLIGHT AT ALL
TO MAKE SHADOWS.

By the mountain, Zim says, ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN, THE
SHADOWS WILL DISAPPEAR, AND THEN
WE WON'T BE ABLE TO MATCH THEM
UP WITH THEIR OWNERS, SO THERE'S
NO TIME TO LOSE!
SEARCH FOR ANYONE IN OKIDO
WITHOUT A SHADOW!

Alone, he looks around.

He says, OH, THEY'VE GONE.

In the city, Felix sits on a bench with a clipboard beside Zam.

Zam says, NOW REMEMBER, FELIX, WE'RE
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITHOUT A
SHADOW.

She and Felix watch monsters walk by with their shadows.

Felix says, SHADOW, TICK, SHADOW, TICK.

Elsewhere in the city, Zoom hovers by Messy as he rings a doorbell.

[Doorbell buzzing]

Two robots come out the door in front of Messy. A mini robot comes out a smaller door behind him.

Messy says, SORRY, MR. ROBOT, WE JUST
NEED TO CHECK SOMETHING.

He looks behind the first robot.

He says, YEP, YOU'VE GOT A SHADOW.

He glances at the second robot.

He says, AND SO HAVE YOU!

Messy kneels and looks behind the mini robot.

He says, WHERE'S YOUR SHADOW, MINI ROBOT?

The mini robot, leaves.

Messy says, HEY, COME BACK!

Elsewhere in the city Zoe runs up to a monster with a shadow.

She says, YEP, SHADOW!

She runs up to Mayor Oki and Lolly sitting on a bench.

She says, UH-HUH, SHADOW!

Startled, Lolly knocks Mayor Oki off the bench.

Zoe says, GOOD!

Messy rings the doorbell at the mini robot’s house.

[Doorbell buzzing]

Messy runs away with Zoom. The mini robot rolls outside. Messy hides behind a tree. Zoom transforms into a fishing pole with a magnet as a hook.

[Zoom buzzing]

The mini robot rolls toward the tree.

They ask, WHAT'S GOING ON?

Messy catches the mini robot with magnet Zoom.

Messy says, DON'T WORRY, MINI
ROBOT, WE'VE FOUND YOUR SHADOW!

He runs away with the mini robot. On the bench, Felix checks his clipboard.

[Felix gasping]

Felix looks across the street at a monster without a shadow.

He says, LOOK, ZAM, SHE'S GOT NO
SHADOW!

He tosses his clipboard and jumps off the bench with Zam.

He says, HEY, COME BACK!

Felix and Zam run after the shadow-less monster.

[Monster humming]

In an alley, Zoe sneaks behind a purple monster. She chases a big blue, red, and yellow robot down a sidewalk to a cheese store.

She says, AH-HAH!
NO SHADOW!
COME WITH ME, MR. ROBOT!

He pushes the big robot down the sidewalk. At the cloud ship, Zam runs out with the others.

Messy cheers, WE DID IT!

Zoe cheers, YAY!

The shadowless monster, mini robot and big robot leave the cloud machine.

[Zim chuckling]

Zam says, NOT YET, NOW YOU HAVE TO
MATCH THE SHADOWS TO THE RIGHT
SHAPE.

Messy says, OH YES, WHICH SHADOW GOES
WHERE?

The monster and robots face the shadows.

Zoe says, I THINK I KNOW WHO GETS
THAT SHADOW!

Felix says, LITTLE ROBOT SHADOW
MATCHES LITTLE ROBOT!

The mini robot rolls up to their shadow.

They cheer, HOORAY, YOU'RE BACK!

Felix says, AND BRIN'S SHADOW MATCHES
BRIN!

Brin, the big robot, rolls up this shadow.

[Brin beeping]

Brin cheers, GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK!

The last shadow waves. The monster runs up to the shadow.

The monster says, GUESS THIS ONE'S EASY THEN!

Messy cheers, HAH-HAH, WE'VE DONE IT!

[Others cheering]

Messy says, AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS
MEANS?

Zam says, YOU'VE LEARNED A VALUABLE
LESSON, ABOUT NOT PUSHING
BUTTONS ON MACHINES?

Messy says, HAH-HAH, NO!
IT MEANS WE CAN CARRY ON PLAYING
SHADOW PUPPETS!

Later, a plane shadow puppet is on the mountain side.

[Giggling]

Felix says, WOW, MESSY!
YOU'VE REALLY GOT THE HANG OF
SHADOW PUPPETS NOW.

In the lighthouse, Messy says, THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST FUN
EVER, BUT IT'S TIME I WAS FLYING
AS WELL.
BYE, EVERYONE!

Felix and Zoe say, BYE, MESSY!

Messy returns to the back yard.

[Messy sighing]

Messy says, WHAT A DAY!
I LEARNED HOW TO MAKE SHADOW
PUPPETS, AND NOW I KNOW WHY MY
SHADOW FOLLOWS ME EVERYWHERE.

He looks down at his shadow. .

He says, BECAUSE IT'S MADE BY ME.
RACE YOU!

He runs away with his shadow.

[Upbeat music plays]
