Transcript: Nine Legged Bill
[Rock music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Bo pushes levers and buttons on a controller in the Swop Shop Headquarters. He wears a green hat over his curly, short brown hair. Mojo, a blue vehicle, swaps from an airplane to a firetruck and to a bulldozer with a crane on the back. They then swap to a truck with a wrecking ball and spin in a circle.
SINGERS: jet top, fire top, dozer top, dig it up. Crane with a wrecking ball, you know they'll answer any call. Jumper top, monster top, turn it on, swop it up. Mojo and bo to the swop shop, let's go.
DESCRIPTION: The headquarters garage door opens, and Bo drives Mojo onto the road.
SINGERS: Mojo. Swoptop. Swop your top, and let's go. Together we can make it all right.
DESCRIPTION: On the road, Mojo swaps between different types of vehicles.

DESCRIPTION: Mojo zooms on the water. On the road, they drive with a ramp to a dump bed lowered, and scooter riders slide into the back of the truck. In a forest, Bo stands on a cherry picker and lifts a pig from a tree. Mojo swaps to a helicopter and a monster truck.
SINGERS: boat top, dumper top, race it fast, rev it up. Cherry picker, oh-so tall. You know they'll answer any call. Chopper top, monster top, turn it on, rev it up. Mojo and Bo to the rescue. Let's go! Mojo swoptops. Swop your top, and let's go.

DESCRIPTION: In the Shop Headquarters, Bo looks underneath cabinets and around the shop.
MOJO: Is it under there?
BO: Ugh, I've looked everywhere for that wrench. But, wait. To find a wrench, I need to think like a wrench.
MOJO: Think like a wrench?
BO: Correct! Now, observe.
DESCRIPTION: Bo puts his fingers to his temples and squints.
[Breathing deeply]
BO: Wrench, wrench, wrench, wrench, wrench, wrench, wrench, wrench. Wrench.
DESCRIPTION: Images of wrenches flash across Bo’s mind.
BO: Ooh, I'm a little wrench. Wrench, wrench, wrench. A-ha! I have found the wrench.
[Alarm blaring]
DESCRIPTION: As the alarm blares, the wrench comes flying across the room and into Bo’s hand.
MOJO: Hey. Thinking worked.
[Alarm blaring]
DESCRIPTION: Mojo turns on a screen that displays a video call with Bryan, a white, blue, and yellow crane barge. He has a central tower with a crane attached that sits on a floating barge.
[Beeping]
BO: Mojo Swoptops. Helping you is what we do. Hi, Bryan!
BRYAN: Mojo, Bo, Sea shanties in the Square is going on, and Cap'n Gail is supposed to be singing, but I can't find her. She's gone!
[Ominous music]
MOJO AND BO: Gone?! No sea shanty will go unsung on our watch. We'll be right there!
[Beeping and chiming]
DESCRIPTION: Bo pushes a button. An opening in the ceiling closes, and Bo picks up his controller. Bo and Mojo look at the computer screen displaying different tops.
MOJO: Let's do the dozer-top?
BO: We can't bulldoze things to find Cap'n Gail, although it would be quicker.
MOJO: Okay, then, what about the fire-top? If she's somewhere up high, or somewhere that's on fire, it'll be a big help.
BO: Good thinking, Mojo, but maybe we should look where Cap'n Gail almost always is. On the water.
[Bo and Mojo gasp]
BO AND MOJO: It's time to...swop that top!
[Beeping, chiming, whirring, upbeat music plays, clanking, engine revving]
DESCRIPTION: Mojo drives onto a platform and rises on a vehicle lift. Bo pushes buttons on the controller. Mechanical arms replace Mojo’s tires with pontoon rafts. Bo jumps into Mojo’s cab and fastens his seatbelt. The garage door opens, and Mojo leaves, driving into the water.
BOTH: Boat-top!
[Engine revving and wind whistles]
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo drive up to Bryan in the water. Bo is wearing an orange lifejacket.
BRYAN: Oh, thank goodness you're here! It's not like Cap'n Gail to disappear.
BO: Don't worry, Bryan. We're on the case. We'll find her.
BRYAN: But I've looked everywhere.
DESCRIPTION: Bryan looks in all directions.
BRYAN: Up the beach? Not there. On the lake? Not there. And there's no sign of her on the island.
DESCRIPTION: Bryan turns his head to the side, revealing Cap’n Gail clinging to Bryan’s side door. Cap’n Gail holds her finger to her lips.
CAP’N GAIL: Shh!
MOJO: We found her!
BRYAN: What? Where?
DESCRIPTION: Bryan glances around and almost knocks Cap’n Gail off the door.
BRYAN YELLS: Where is she? Oh, Cap'n Gail! I cannae see her. Oh, where's she gone?
[Cap’n Gail groaning and coughing]
CAP’N GAIL: Stop your worryin', you daft tugboat.
BRYAN: Oh, Cap'n. What are you doin' here? You're supposed to be singin' sea shanties in the town square right now.
CAP’N GAIL: Right, uh, uh, singing. Uh, I was gonna do that. I... I, uh, mean, I'm not scared, no.
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail taps her fingers against the railing.
[Laughing nervously]
CAP’N GAIL: Uh, no, it's just that it was important that I had a look for a...
[Stammering]
CAP’N GAIL: Oh, no! I can't believe it. He's... he's here!
DESCRIPTION: Cap’n Gail points to the open water. Mojo and Bo turn to look, but there is nothing there.
MOJO: What? Where?
[Cap'n Gail grunting]
BO: Uh, who's here, Cap'n Gail?
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail winces and waves her fingers in the air.
CAP’N GAIL: It's, uh, Nine Legged Bill!
[Ominous music]
MOJO: Who's that?
CAP’N GAIL: Why, only the most feared octopus of all time. An octopus with nine legs!
BRYAN: An octopus with nine legs?
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail runs inside Bryan’s tower.
MOJO: A nine-opus! That's one whole leg scarier than an octopus!
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail runs out of Bryan’s tower wearing a life jacket and holding an anchor.
CAP’N GAIL: We've gotta get after him. Hoist the anchor. All ahead, full bearing east!
BO: Don't worry, Cap'n Gail. We'll catch him.
[Cap’n Gail chuckles nervously]
CAP’N GAIL: Uh, yes, uh, so, so, let's split up. You all head east, and I'll, um, uh, I'll check this way!
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail grabs an oar and a swim ring and jumps overboard.
[Splashing]
DESCRIPTION: Mojo calls after Cap'n Gail, who is paddling away as fast as she can.
MOJO: Did you say "Split up"?
CAP'N GAIL YELLS BACK: It's the last thing he'd expect!
BO: Does anyone else think she's acting a little strange?
BRYAN: It's probably just octopus fever. Now, I'll look this way.
DESCRIPTION: Bryan drives off.
MOJO: And we'll warn the Mayor.
DESCRIPTION: Bo and Mojo drive off. A little bit later, Mayor Sunita is standing on the dock, calling out.
MAYOR SUNITA: Cap'n Gail! Where are you?
[Engine humming]
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo drive up to the dock.
MAYOR SUNITA: Ah, good. Have you seen Cap'n Gail? Everyone's waiting for her sea shanty.
MOJO: Never mind that, Mayor. You won't believe this.
BO: It's a nine-opus, in Lake Swoppiton!
[Gasping]
MAYOR SUNITA: A what?
BO: Oh, it's an octopus, but with an extra leg. So instead of eight legs it's got nine, so it's a nine-opus.
MOJO: And it's called Nine Legged Bill! We need to warn everybody!
[Gasping]
MAYOR SUNITA: Don't worry, you two. I'm the Mayor. Leave it to me.
DESCRIPTION: Later in the day, in the town square, a singing performance is happening. Three children sing on a stage while a small crowd watches.
CHILDREN SING: One, and a two, and a one, two, three. Little us three sing a sea shanty. Early in the morning!
DESCRIPTION: Suddenly, Mayor Sunita snatches the microphone away and yells into it.
MAYOR SUNITA: Everyone! We never thought this day would come, but a nine-opus has arrived in Swoppiton!
[All gasping]
MAYOR SUNITA: Now, everything will be fine as long as we don't--
BETTY: Panic!
[Chaotic music]
[All screaming]
[Shrieking]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone screams and runs in different directions. Preston runs to the docks and yells into a megaphone.
PRESTON: Ugh! Everybody, out of the water! We're on nine-opus red alert! You are all in great danger!
[Chaotic music abruptly ends]
[Record scratching]
DESCRIPTION: A seagull peacefully sits on a rock in the calm water.
[Seagull calling]
MOJO: Hang on. What's that?
DESCRIPTION: In the distance, a jet skier drives by.
[Chaotic music begins again]
TAO: Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Bo looks through binoculars out at the water.
[Gasping]
BO: That's Tao!
MOJO: He doesn't know there's a horrible nine-opus in the lake. We have to save him!
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo race through the water after Tao.
[Tao laughs]
MOJO: Tao, you have to get out of the lake!
TAO: Woo!
BO: There's something in the water!
DESCRIPTION: Tao swerves the jet ski and looks in the water with wide eyes.
TAO: What? Where? Whoa! Whoa!
BO: Quick, jump! It could be right behind you!
DESCRIPTION: Tao leaps onto Mojo’s roof.
[Grunting]
TAO: Whew! Thanks, Bo-dawg. Now, what's all the shouting about?
BO: There's a nine-opus in the lake. It's like a nine-legged octopus. It probably almost got you. Uh, maybe.
[Tao laughing]
TAO: Uh, no. I don't think so, mate.
BO: Why's that?
TAO: 'Cause I don't think there's any such thing as a nine-legged octopus.
DESCRIPTION: Tao jumps back onto his jet ski.
[Grunting and laughing]
TAO: See ya! Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Tao rides off, doing flips in the water. Suddenly, a dark shadow looms over Bo and Mojo.
[Ominous music]
[Both yelling]
BO AND MOJO: Ah!
DESCRIPTION: The shadow is Bryan!
BRYAN: Oh, ah, uh.
[Clearing throat]
BRYAN: There you are. Did you find Nine Legged Bill?
MOJO: No, but we're sure he's around here somewhere.
BO: Actually, we're kind of not sure. In fact, has anyone ever seen Nine Legged Bill?
BRYAN: Well, uh, no. I mean, er, not personally, but then where's Cap'n Gail?
[Gasping]
BRYAN: What if Nine Legged Bill's got her with his extra leg?
BO: It'll be quicker if we search from the air. Come on, Mojo. It's time for a hot swop.
[Upbeat music]
DESCRIPTION: Bo presses a button on a remote, and Mojo begins a Top Swop transformation. Helicopter landing gear replaces his pontoon rafts, and he gains helicopter blades on his roof.
[Buzzing]
BOTH: Chopper-top!
DESCRIPTION: A little while later, Bo and Mojo fly over the lake. They circle an island and soar through the air.
[Adventurous music]
MOJO: Do you see her?
BO: Nothing yet.
MOJO: Ah, but we've looked everywhere. Where could she be?
BO: Well, maybe to find Cap'n Gail, we need to think like Cap'n Gail.
[Breathing deeply]
BO: The sea shanty's in the town, but Cap'n Gail's looking for a nine-opus that no one's ever seen?
DESCRIPTION: Images of Gail and the sea shanty flash across Bo’s mind.
[Gasping]
BO: Mojo! I don't think this is about Nine Legged Bill.
MOJO: Hang on! There's Cap'n Gail.
DESCRIPTION: Mojo looks down at a grassy field, where Cap’n Gail sits at a picnic table by herself.
MOJO: Wow. Thinking really does work.
DESCRIPTION: As soon as Mojo and Bo get closer to land, Cap’n Gail gets on her scooter and runs away!
[Gasping]
MOJO: Why's she running away?
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo fly after Cap'n Gail. Bo takes out a megaphone and shouts at her.
BO: Cap'n Gail! What's wrong?
CAP’N GAIL: Nothing! I'm just looking for Nine Legged Bill.
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail swerves through trees and rocks, and drives all the way into town.
[Grunting]
CAP’N GAIL: Whoa.
[Grunting]
CAP’N GAIL: Whoa! Whoa!
BO: Cap'n Gail, it's okay! We know what this is about. You can stop pretending!
CAP’N GAIL: Pretending? Nonsense! I'm looking for a dangerous sea creature among these trees and rocks. You should look somewhere else. He could be anywhere.
BO: You've battled storms and chased sea monsters around the Cape of [Unclear], but Cap'n Gail, it's okay to be afraid of singing.
CAP’N GAIL: What?
BO: I said, "It's okay to be afraid of singing!"
CAP’N GAIL: W-What? Scared of singing? Ha, I don't know what you're on about.
BO: There never was any Nine Legged Bill, was there, Cap'n?
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail stops in the town square.
[Tire squealing]
[Sighing]
CAP’N GAIL: No.
DESCRIPTION: Townspeople look out from bushes, trees, shops, and windows.
[Townspeople all gasping]
FABIO: Say what?
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo land behind Cap'n Gail. Bo approaches Gail and puts a hand on her arm.
[Blades whirring]
BO: It's the sea shanties, isn't it? You're worried about singing in front of people.
CAP’N GAIL: I just don't think I can do it. What if I'm not any good? What if you all don't like me?
[All the townspeople begin to chatter encouragingly]
BO: I'll tell you what, Cap'n Gail. Why don't we do it together?
DESCRIPTION: Later in the day, Cap’n Gail stands in front of a microphone. The townspeople all crowd around the stage and smile at her.
CAP’N GAIL: Uh…
[Clearing throat]
[Laughing nervously]
[Mic squeaking]
[Clearing throat]
DESCRIPTION: Bo joins her with a guitar.
CAP’N GAIL: Uh…
[Bo tapping on the guitar]
CAP’N GAIL SINGS: Nine Legged Bill is a fearsome sight! With tentacles long in the dark of night! But don't be scared, he's a faithful friend! A playful pal to the very end! Nine Legged Bill, he swam so fine! With legs to spare, he danced in time! He wiggled and jiggled with gleeful grace! And brought a smile to the ocean's face!
[All cheering and applauding]
FABIO: Bellissimo! Encore!
[All cheering and applauding]
DESCRIPTION: Watching from the lake is a purple octopus with nine legs.

[Record scratching]
DESCRIPTION: A seagull peacefully sits on a rock in the calm water.
[Seagull calling]
MOJO: Hang on. What's that?
DESCRIPTION: In the distance, a jet skier drives by.
[Chaotic music begins again]
TAO: Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Bo looks through binoculars out at the water.
[Gasping]
BO: That's Tao!
MOJO: He doesn't know there's a horrible nine-opus in the lake. We have to save him!
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo race through the water after Tao.
[Tao laughs]
MOJO: Tao, you have to get out of the lake!
TAO: Woo!
BO: There's something in the water!
DESCRIPTION: Tao swerves the jet ski and looks in the water with wide eyes.
TAO: What? Where? Whoa! Whoa!
BO: Quick, jump! It could be right behind you!
DESCRIPTION: Tao leaps onto Mojo’s roof.
[Grunting]
TAO: Whew! Thanks, Bo-dawg. Now, what's all the shouting about?
BO: There's a nine-opus in the lake. It's like a nine-legged octopus. It probably almost got you. Uh, maybe.
[Tao laughing]
TAO: Uh, no. I don't think so, mate.
BO: Why's that?
TAO: 'Cause I don't think there's any such thing as a nine-legged octopus.
DESCRIPTION: Tao jumps back onto his jet ski.
[Grunting and laughing]
TAO: See ya! Woo-hoo!
DESCRIPTION: Tao rides off, doing flips in the water. Suddenly, a dark shadow looms over Bo and Mojo.
[Ominous music]
[Both yelling]
BO AND MOJO: Ah!
DESCRIPTION: The shadow is Bryan!
BRYAN: Oh, ah, uh.
[Clearing throat]
BRYAN: There you are. Did you find Nine Legged Bill?
MOJO: No, but we're sure he's around here somewhere.
BO: Actually, we're kind of not sure. In fact, has anyone ever seen Nine Legged Bill?
BRYAN: Well, uh, no. I mean, er, not personally, but then where's Cap'n Gail?
[Gasping]
BRYAN: What if Nine Legged Bill's got her with his extra leg?
BO: It'll be quicker if we search from the air. Come on, Mojo. It's time for a hot swop.
[Upbeat music]
DESCRIPTION: Bo presses a button on a remote, and Mojo begins a Top Swop transformation. Helicopter landing gear replaces his pontoon rafts, and he gains helicopter blades on his roof.
[Buzzing]
BOTH: Chopper-top!
DESCRIPTION: A little while later, Bo and Mojo fly over the lake. They circle an island and soar through the air.
[Adventurous music]
MOJO: Do you see her?
BO: Nothing yet.
MOJO: Ah, but we've looked everywhere. Where could she be?
BO: Well, maybe to find Cap'n Gail, we need to think like Cap'n Gail.
[Breathing deeply]
BO: The sea shanty's in the town, but Cap'n Gail's looking for a nine-opus that no one's ever seen?
DESCRIPTION: Images of Gail and the sea shanty flash across Bo’s mind.
[Gasping]
BO: Mojo! I don't think this is about Nine Legged Bill.
MOJO: Hang on! There's Cap'n Gail.
DESCRIPTION: Mojo looks down at a grassy field, where Cap’n Gail sits at a picnic table by herself.
MOJO: Wow. Thinking really does work.
DESCRIPTION: As soon as Mojo and Bo get closer to land, Cap’n Gail gets on her scooter and runs away!
[Gasping]
MOJO: Why's she running away?
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo fly after Cap'n Gail. Bo takes out a megaphone and shouts at her.
BO: Cap'n Gail! What's wrong?
CAP’N GAIL: Nothing! I'm just looking for Nine Legged Bill.
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail swerves through trees and rocks, and drives all the way into town.
[Grunting]
CAP’N GAIL: Whoa.
[Grunting]
CAP’N GAIL: Whoa! Whoa!
BO: Cap'n Gail, it's okay! We know what this is about. You can stop pretending!
CAP’N GAIL: Pretending? Nonsense! I'm looking for a dangerous sea creature among these trees and rocks. You should look somewhere else. He could be anywhere.
BO: You've battled storms and chased sea monsters around the Cape of [Unclear], but Cap'n Gail, it's okay to be afraid of singing.
CAP’N GAIL: What?
BO: I said, "It's okay to be afraid of singing!"
CAP’N GAIL: W-What? Scared of singing? Ha, I don't know what you're on about.
BO: There never was any Nine Legged Bill, was there, Cap'n?
DESCRIPTION: Cap'n Gail stops in the town square.
[Tire squealing]
[Sighing]
CAP’N GAIL: No.
DESCRIPTION: Townspeople look out from bushes, trees, shops, and windows.
[Townspeople all gasping]
FABIO: Say what?
DESCRIPTION: Mojo and Bo land behind Cap'n Gail. Bo approaches Gail and puts a hand on her arm.
[Blades whirring]
BO: It's the sea shanties, isn't it? You're worried about singing in front of people.
CAP’N GAIL: I just don't think I can do it. What if I'm not any good? What if you all don't like me?
[All the townspeople begin to chatter encouragingly]
BO: I'll tell you what, Cap'n Gail. Why don't we do it together?
DESCRIPTION: Later in the day, Cap’n Gail stands in front of a microphone. The townspeople all crowd around the stage and smile at her.
CAP’N GAIL: Uh…
[Clearing throat]
[Laughing nervously]
[Mic squeaking]
[Clearing throat]
DESCRIPTION: Bo joins her with a guitar.
CAP’N GAIL: Uh…
[Bo tapping on the guitar]
CAP’N GAIL SINGS: Nine Legged Bill is a fearsome sight! With tentacles long in the dark of night! But don't be scared, he's a faithful friend! A playful pal to the very end! Nine Legged Bill, he swam so fine! With legs to spare, he danced in time! He wiggled and jiggled with gleeful grace! And brought a smile to the ocean's face!
[All cheering and applauding]
FABIO: Bellissimo! Encore!
[All cheering and applauding]
DESCRIPTION: Watching from the lake is a purple octopus with nine legs.
[Upbeat music]
