[Playful orchestral music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Upbeat music plays, Pip gasps, paper rustles]
DESCRIPTION: On the porch of the playing spot, Posy launches a paper airplane, and it lands in a yellow boot. Beside her, Pip holds his own paper airplane.
POSY: Wahoo!
PIP: Wow!
POSY: Nice landing, Posy Plane.
PIP: Pilot Pip ready for take-off!
[Paper rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip launches his paper airplane, then ducks as it flies past him.
PIP: Whoosh! Whoa! Uh, whoa.
[Posy giggles, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Pip loses his balance and teeters on the edge of the porch.
POSY: You look like a tightrope walker in the circus.
[Both laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts out his arms and walks towards Posy.
PIP: Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo. If I'm a tightrope walker, then what are you?
POSY: Hmm. Oh! The ringmaster, of course!
[Pip giggles, Posy gasps]
POSY: I know! Let's put on a circus show!
PIP: Yeah! Frankie! Zac!
[Merry-go-round squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: On the playground, Frankie and Zac stand on a metal spinner.
PIP: Want to join our circus?
FRANKIE: Oh! Okay!
DESCRIPTION: Frankie and Zac hop off the spinner and run to Pip and Posy.
ZAC: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
[Giggling, leaves rustle]
DESCRIPTION: In the garden, Jamila peers around an ivy-covered privacy fence.
JAMILA: A circus? Can I play, too!
PIP: Yeah!
[Posy giggles, watering can thunks]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila puts an orange watering can on the ground.
JAMILA: I'll be…
[Gasps, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila picks up a purple hula hoop.
JAMILA: A hula hoop acrobat!
[Posy giggles]
ZAC: Oh! Oh! Oh! And I can, uh, juggle!
[Taps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac takes a blue ball and a red ball out of a crate.
ZAC: With two balls!
[Everyone giggles]
PIP: What about you, Frankie?
FRANKIE: Oh. Don't know what circus act I'm good at.
POSY: That's okay. You can try everyone else's, then pick your favourite.
FRANKIE: Um, all right.
[Upbeat music plays]
POSY: Yay! Then first up is our tightrope walker. Daredevil Pip!
[Everyone giggles, Pip clears his throat dramatically]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie and Zac sit together on the grass, Jamila kneels in the hula hoop, and Posy stands beside her. On the porch, Pip puts out his arms and walks near the edge.
PIP: Whoa!
OTHERS: Oooh.
PIP: Wah! Ah.
[Pip sighs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip hops down on the grass in front of Zac and Frankie.
PIP: Hop! Ta-da!
[Everyone cheers, applause]
POSY: You have a go, Frankie!
[Pip giggles, Frankie sighs]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie walks to the porch and walks to the edge. She wobbles, wide-eyed.
FRANKIE: Oh. Whoa! Whoa! Ooh!
[Others giggle]
PIP: Put your arms out like an airplane.
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Zac hold out their arms.
ZAC: Yeah, like this.
[Zac imitates an airplane, everyone laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Zac runs in a circle.
FRANKIE: Okay.
DESCRIPTION: Frankie puts out her arms and walks on the side. She waves her arms and leans to one side.
FRANKIE: Oh. Whoa! Ah! Ah! Oh!
[Others giggle, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie falls forward and lands on her feet on the grass.
FRANKIE: Don't think I'm much of a tightrope walker. Can I try something else?
JAMILA: Oh! You could be a hula hoop acrobat like me!
FRANKIE: Mmm. I've never been very good at hula hooping.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila hula hoops.
JAMILA: It's easy. All you have to do is spin, then wiggle your bottom.
[Bee buzzes, Jamila gasps]
DESCRIPTION: A bee flies to Jamila, and she shuts her eyes and holds her arms out as she hula hoops.
JAMILA: Like a bee!
[Jamila buzzes]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila waves to the bee.
JAMILA: Hi, Benny!
[Jamila and bee buzz]
JAMILA: Wah!
DESCRIPTION: The hula hoop falls to the grass.
ALL: Yay!
JAMILA: Your turn, Frankie Doodle.
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila gives Frankie the hula hoop, and Pip and Zac sit on the grass and watch.
FRANKIE: Okay, I'll give it a go.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie steps into the hula hoop.
FRANKIE: Whoop.
[Upbeat music continues, hoop clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie hula hoops, and the hula hoop falls on the grass.
FRANKIE: Oh.
JAMILA: You forgot to buzz like Benny.
FRANKIE: Oh, yes.
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie picks up the hula hoop and hula hoops.
FRANKIE: Whoop.
[Frankie buzzes]
[Hoop clatters, Frankie buzzes, everyone giggles, Frankie gasps, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The hula hoop falls to the ground, and Frankie continues wiggling her hips. She opens her eyes and notices the hoop on the ground.
FRANKIE: Oh, I'm not a great hula hoop acrobat either.
PIP: Um, never mind. There's still one more act to try.
ZAC: Yeah, my turn! Look at me!
[Footsteps patter, Zac giggles, Zac hums, rustle, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Zac runs to the porch and juggles the two balls. Frankie clasps her hands and steps back away from where Pip and Jamila sit on the grass.
JAMILA AND PIP: Whoa!
[Balls gently thump, Zac hums]
DESCRIPTION: Zac throws each ball into the air with his right hand, then catches it with his left.
ZAC: Boom!
[Everyone cheers, applause]
ZAC: You’re go, Frankie!
FRANKIE: Um, I don't know.
DESCRIPTION: Zac gives Frankie the two balls and pushes her towards the porch.
ZAC: Come on! You can do it.
[Zac giggles, Frankie sighs]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie walks onto the porch and faces her friends.
FRANKIE: Okay.
[Frankie murmurs, Posy gasps, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie looks uncertainly at the balls. Posy imitates playing a drum.
POSY: Drumroll, please.
PIP: Da-da-da-da-da-da!
[Frankie blows out a breath]
FRANKIE: Here it goes.
[Balls gently thump]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie juggles the blue ball from her right hand to her left hand and smiles.
FRANKIE: Oh, wah.
ALL: Whoa!
[Balls gently thump]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie juggles the balls.
FRANKIE: Oh! Wah!
DESCRIPTION: Frankie moves around to catch the balls and throws both into the air at the same time.
FRANKIE: Uh! Oh!
[Balls thump, everyone laughs, Frankie sighs, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The balls bounce off Frankie’s head. On the grass, Pip watches Zac fall backwards, laughing. He gets up and walks to Frankie and Posy. He and Posy glance at each other and then look at Frankie.
FRANKIE: A big nope for juggling, too.
[Soft music plays]
PIP: That's okay. You can still be a, uh. Oh, I think that's everything.
FRANKIE: It's fine. I don't think I want to be in the circus anymore. I'm going inside for a read.
[Door squeaks, slams]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie enters the playing spot.
[The music stops]
ZAC: Aw! But I want Frankie to be in the circus!
[Jamila sighs]
JAMILA: Me too.
POSY: And me. But she wasn't very good at any of the acts.
DESCRIPTION: Zac picks up the red ball.
ZAC: She was funny though.
[Ball squeaks, thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac bounces the ball off his head.
ZAC: Clonk!
[Zac and Pip giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Zac balances the ball on his nose.
ZAC: Wah! Whoa!
[Pip gasps]
PIP: That's it!
ZAC: Huh?
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: The red ball falls on the grass, and Pip picks it up.
PIP: We forgot the most important act in the whole circus.
[Pip vocalizes, Posy gasps, upbeat music plays, door squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip holds the red ball in front of his nose. Later, the door to the playing spot swings open, and Frankie glances over, then returns to her book. Behind a bookcase, Pip, Posy, Zac, and Jamila each pop up as they speak.
PIP: Hi!
POSY: There!
ZAC: Frankie!
JAMILA: Doodle!
[Frankie giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie waves.
FRANKIE: Um, hi.
PIP: We've got the perfect circus act for you.
[Book thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie closes her book and puts it on the floor.
FRANKIE: Thanks, but I don't think the circus is for me. I was only good at making you laugh.
POSY: Exactly! That's why you should be the clown!
[Ball squeaks, Pip beeps, mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip holds the red ball in front of his nose and squeezes it.
PIP: Every circus needs one, and you'd be the best ever!
FRANKIE: Really?
[Ball thumps, lively music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip drops the ball and balances on one foot.
PIP: Yeah! You're so funny at whoa!
[Pip giggles]
JAMILA: And buzzy wiggles!
[Jamila buzzes]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila pretends to hula hoop.
ZAC: And the donking.
[Ball thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac throws the red ball up, and it bounces off his head.
ZAC: Doink!
[Ball boings, everyone giggles]
FRANKIE: That was pretty funny.
POSY: And that's why you go to the circus. To laugh until your tummy hurts.
[Posy and Frankie giggle]
FRANKIE: Okay!
[Ball squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip offers Frankie the red ball, and she takes it and squeezes it in front of her nose.
FRANKIE: Donk.
[Everyone giggles, swings squeak, footsteps patter, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Outside, Mo swings on the swing in the playground, and a fox strolls on the path, eating an ice cream cone. Posy wears a top hat and runs out of the playing spot, shouting through a megaphone.
POSY: Roll up! Roll up! The circus spectacular is about to begin!
[Mo laughs, footsteps rustle, thud, suspenseful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The fox and Mo sit on the grass by the deck, beside Piggy, Froggy, Dino, and a purple bucket.
POSY: Quick! Take your seats! Please welcome to the stage…Daredevil Pip!
[Mo giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip arrives, carrying a push broom. He waves to the audience.
PIP: Whoa!
[Audience gasps, laughs, cheerful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks along the edge of the deck, wobbling, as he holds the broom for balance.
POSY: Joining Pip in the Big Top, it's Juggling Zac and Whirlwind Jamila.
[Audience giggles, Jamila buzzes, giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila and Zac run out. Jamila picks up the hula hoop and spins it around her hips while Zac juggles.
FOX: Yay!
[Ice cream squelches, Mo applauds]
DESCRIPTION: Mo and the fox applaud, and the fox hits the palm of their hand against their ice cream.
MO: Wahoo! Yay!
DESCRIPTION: Frankie runs out of the playing spot wearing a bowler hat with a flower on one side, a polka dot bowtie, overalls, and red face paint on her nose.
FRANKIE: All that clapping must be for me! Frankie the Clown!
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie spreads her arms and hits Pip’s broom.
FRANKIE: Oops!
DESCRIPTION: Pip staggers and stumbles onto the grass, smiling.
PIP: Whoa! Whoa!
[Mo and the fox laugh]
FRANKIE: Oh, yummy! I love apples!
(Frankie imitates a crunch, cheerful music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie takes the red ball from Zac and pretends to bite it.
FRANKIE: Bleh!
[Everyone else laughs, thump, hula hoop clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sticks out her tongue and hops around. She bumps into Jamila, who drops the hula hoop.
FRANKIE: Whoa! Whoa!
[Frankie squeaks, Mo and the fox gasp, thunk]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie falls and bumps her head on the bucket. She stands with the bucket over her head.
[The music stops]
FRANKIE: Huh? Who turned out the lights?
[Everyone laughs, lively music plays, everyone cheers, applause]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie lifts the bucket, looks around, and smiles. She takes the bucket off her head and bows.

DESCRIPTION: Pip drops the ball and balances on one foot.
PIP: Yeah! You're so funny at whoa!
[Pip giggles]
JAMILA: And buzzy wiggles!
[Jamila buzzes]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila pretends to hula hoop.
ZAC: And the donking.
[Ball thumps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac throws the red ball up, and it bounces off his head.
ZAC: Doink!
[Ball boings, everyone giggles]
FRANKIE: That was pretty funny.
POSY: And that's why you go to the circus. To laugh until your tummy hurts.
[Posy and Frankie giggle]
FRANKIE: Okay!
[Ball squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip offers Frankie the red ball, and she takes it and squeezes it in front of her nose.
FRANKIE: Donk.
[Everyone giggles, swings squeak, footsteps patter, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Outside, Mo swings on the swing in the playground, and a fox strolls on the path, eating an ice cream cone. Posy wears a top hat and runs out of the playing spot, shouting through a megaphone.
POSY: Roll up! Roll up! The circus spectacular is about to begin!
[Mo laughs, footsteps rustle, thud, suspenseful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The fox and Mo sit on the grass by the deck, beside Piggy, Froggy, Dino, and a purple bucket.
POSY: Quick! Take your seats! Please welcome to the stage…Daredevil Pip!
[Mo giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip arrives, carrying a push broom. He waves to the audience.
PIP: Whoa!
[Audience gasps, laughs, cheerful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks along the edge of the deck, wobbling, as he holds the broom for balance.
POSY: Joining Pip in the Big Top, it's Juggling Zac and Whirlwind Jamila.
[Audience giggles, Jamila buzzes, giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Jamila and Zac run out. Jamila picks up the hula hoop and spins it around her hips while Zac juggles.
FOX: Yay!
[Ice cream squelches, Mo applauds]
DESCRIPTION: Mo and the fox applaud, and the fox hits the palm of their hand against their ice cream.
MO: Wahoo! Yay!
DESCRIPTION: Frankie runs out of the playing spot wearing a bowler hat with a flower on one side, a polka dot bowtie, overalls, and red face paint on her nose.
FRANKIE: All that clapping must be for me! Frankie the Clown!
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie spreads her arms and hits Pip’s broom.
FRANKIE: Oops!
DESCRIPTION: Pip staggers and stumbles onto the grass, smiling.
PIP: Whoa! Whoa!
[Mo and the fox laugh]
FRANKIE: Oh, yummy! I love apples!
(Frankie imitates a crunch, cheerful music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie takes the red ball from Zac and pretends to bite it.
FRANKIE: Bleh!
[Everyone else laughs, thump, hula hoop clatters]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie sticks out her tongue and hops around. She bumps into Jamila, who drops the hula hoop.
FRANKIE: Whoa! Whoa!
[Frankie squeaks, Mo and the fox gasp, thunk]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie falls and bumps her head on the bucket. She stands with the bucket over her head.
[The music stops]
FRANKIE: Huh? Who turned out the lights?
[Everyone laughs, lively music plays, everyone cheers, applause]
DESCRIPTION: Frankie lifts the bucket, looks around, and smiles. She takes the bucket off her head and bows.
[Playful orchestral music plays]
