DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Happy music plays, wings flap, pigeon coos, Pip and Posy giggle]
DESCRIPTION: In front of Posy’s house, a pigeon lands in the snowy yard and pecks at a rock. They pout, then fly up to a window and look inside, where Pip and Posy sit at a kitchen table. Pip holds a gingerbread man.
POSY: Wow, Pip! Yours looks great!
[Pip giggles, the music stops]
POSY: Hello, gingerbread man!
PIP: Goodbye, gingerbread man!
[Crunch, Posy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip eats the head of the gingerbread man.
POSY: "Goodbye, gingerbread man!" You're so funny!
[Posy laughs, Pip giggles, gentle taps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts two eyes on her gingerbread man.
POSY: Boop. Boop.
[Gingerbread man scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up her gingerbread man.
POSY: Ah. Meet Mrs. Crunchybum!
[Both giggle]
PIP: She looks amazing! But does she taste good, too?
[Munching, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip eats his gingerbread man. Posy lifts her gingerbread man, Mrs. Crunchybum, towards her mouth, then stops.
POSY: Aw, you're too cute.
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Please don't eat me, Posy! Let's be friends and play together."
POSY: Okay, Mrs. Crunchybum. Let's take your yummy toes on a tour of Posey-o's!
[Pip and Posy laugh, Posy gasps, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip picks up a toy snake.
PIP: Mmm. Yummy toes are my favourite!
[Posy shrieks]
POSY: A hungry snake!
[Both laugh, Pip hisses, Posy gasps, wings flap, Posy gasps, Mrs. Crunchybum thumps]
DESCRIPTION: In the living room, Pip holds the snake and chases Posy. In the window, the pigeon startles and flies away. Posy stops by the couch and drops Mrs. Crunchybum on a cushion.
[The music stops]
POSY: Oh...Careful, Pip! If Mrs. Crunchybum landed on the floor, she'd be in a million crumbly bits!
PIP: Oh.
POSY: Hmm. I think she'd prefer a nice, calm game instead.
PIP: Um, okay.
[Tap, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Posy leans Mrs. Crunchybum against a teacup on a saucer near a teapot. Posy and Pip kneel on a carpet, with Piggy and Froggy.
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Thanks for inviting me to your tea party, Posy! Normally, I'm on the menu."
[Pip and Posy giggle]
PIP: Tea, Mrs. Crunchybum?
POSY: Pip, how could you?! She can't have tea, it will make her go all soggy.
[Posy giggles]
PIP: Oh.
[Soft tap]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts the teapot on the carpet.
POSY: Now I don't believe I've introduced you. This is Piggy.
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Pleased to meet you!
[Posy giggles]
POSY: And this is Froggy.
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Well, hello!"
[Posy giggles, Pip gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Pip looks out through the window.
PIP: Why don't we go and play in the snow? At the park!
POSY: Oh, but— Hmm. All right, then.
[Posy giggles, door creaks, footsteps crunch, pigeon]
DESCRIPTION: Pip wears his winter jacket, mittens, and boots outside. Nearby, the pigeon watches from a tree.
PIP: Come on, Posy.
[Door creaks, wheels rattle, Posy hums, door slams, pigeon coos]
DESCRIPTION: Posy leaves the house wearing her winter clothes and pushes Mrs. Crunchybum in a stroller.
PIP: Uh, is Mrs. Crunchybum coming?
[Snow crunches, footsteps rustle, Posy hums]
DESCRIPTION: Posy pushes the stroller past Pip.
POSY: Yeah.
[Footsteps rustle, Posy hums]
PIP: Hmm.
[Light music plays, wings flap, pigeon coos]
DESCRIPTION: Pip follows Posy as she pushes the stroller across the snow. The pigeon soars over their heads to another tree.
PIP: Oh, let's play Snow Monsters!
[Posy exclaims, snow rustles, Pip roars, Posy giggles, wheels rattle, thump, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: At the playground by the playing spot, Pip jumps in the snow. Posy turns the stroller off the path and hits a small snowbank.
POSY: Oh. Mrs. Crunchybum is stuck.
PIP: Just leave it there.
[Snow crunches, thumps, upbeat music continues]
DESCRIPTION: Pip stomps and jumps in the snow.
POSY: Um, okay.
PIP: Stomp, stomp! Stomp! I'm the stompiest snow monster ever!
DESCRIPTION: Posy carries a container containing Mrs. Crunchybum.
PIP: Huh? What's she doing here?
POSY: We're going to stomp together! Hop!
[Rustle, Mrs. Crunchybum rattles, Posy gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy hops and Mrs. Crunchybum shakes in the container.
POSY: Oh, careful, Mrs. Crunchybum!
[The music stops, snow rustles]
POSY: That's better.
DESCRIPTION: Posy walks forward gently.
POSY: Oh! Stomp, stomp.
PIP: That's not stomping.
POSY: Little jumps are great big stomps for Mrs. Crunchybum.
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Because I'm so tiny!"
[Pip sighs, Posy giggles]
PIP: Why don't we, uh, play on the swings instead?
POSY: Sure.
[Posy giggles, upbeat music plays, pigeon coos]
DESCRIPTION: On a tree branch, the pigeon watches Pip and Posy run to the swing set.
PIP: Get ready for the fastest, swingiest swing ever!
[Swing squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pushes Posy on the swing. She sits with the container holding Mrs. Crunchybum on her lap.
POSY: Oh!
[Rattle, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Mrs. Crunchybum shakes inside the container.
POSY: Whoa! Not so high!
DESCRIPTION: Pip stops the swing.
PIP: Now what?
POSY: Mrs. Crunchybum doesn't like it.
[Pip groans]
PIP: But Posy!
POSY: She might break!
[Pip groans, footsteps crunch]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks away from the swing set.
POSY: We need to play much more carefully with Mrs. Crunchybum.
PIP: But I don't want to play with Mrs. Silly Crunchybum! I want to play with you.
[The music stops, snow crunches]
DESCRIPTION: Posy slides off the swing and walks to Pip, holding the container.
POSY: But... Pip, I thought you liked her.
PIP: I did, to start with. But it's Mrs. Crunchybum this, Mrs. Crunchybum that. And there's been no time for me and you.
[Soft music plays]
POSY: Oh.
PIP: She's only gingerbread.
[Light music plays]
POSY: I suppose I have been playing with Mrs. Crunchybum a lot. But I don't want her to stop me and you having fun.
DESCRIPTION: Posy gently touches Pip’s shoulder.
POSY: You've been very busy today, Mrs. Crunchybum. Why don't you rest your yummy toes in the buggy for awhile?
POSY, AS MRS. CRUNCHYBUM: "Yes, please, Posy!"
[Pip giggles]
PIP: Thanks, Posy.
POSY: Back in a mosy!
[Both giggle, pigeon coos, wings flap, Pip and Posy cheer, Zac whooshes]
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts Mrs. Crunchybum in the stroller and runs back to the swing. The pigeon flies to the stroller and lands on a park bench beside it. Zac slides across the snow and stops in front of the bench, scaring the pigeon away.
[The music stops]
ZAC: Whoa! Oh! Can I have a push too?
[Posy laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip pushes Posy on the swing.
PIP: Yeah, Zac! You can go next.
[Snow crunches]
DESCRIPTION: Zac walks to the stroller and looks at Mrs. Crunchybum.
ZAC: Whoa! Gingerbread! Can I have some?
PIP: Want to go higher?
POSY SINGS: Go for it!
ZAC: Thanks!
[Light music plays, Zac giggles, gingerbread snaps, Pip gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Zac picks up the gingerbread man and snaps off the head.
PIP SHOUTS: Zac, no!
[Munching, Pip whimpers]
DESCRIPTION: Zac eats the head. Pip stops pushing Posy on the swing and runs to Zac.
POSY: Huh?
PIP: Zac! What did you do?
ZAC: Uh, ate some gingerbread. Posy said, "Go for it."
POSY: Oh.
[Rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy takes Mrs. Crunchybum out of the container.
PIP: Oh, I'm so sorry, Posy! I made you leave Mrs. Crunchybum. Now look!
[Soft music plays]
POSY: That's okay, Pip. I liked Mrs. Crunchybum, but I was having more fun playing with you. After all, she's only gingerbread.
ZAC: Yeah! Really yummy gingerbread.
[Posy giggles, upbeat music plays]
POSY: Um, Mrs. Crunchybum, do you mind if I, um, nibbled your yummy toes?
ZAC: She can't hear you. I ate her ears.
[Everyone laughs, gingerbread snaps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy eats a gingerbread leg.
POSY: Wow! Mrs. Crunchybum tastes amazing!
PIP: Um, could I try a little bit of arm?
ZAC: I want a leg!
[Gingerbread snaps, munching]
DESCRIPTION: Posy gives Pip and Zac pieces of gingerbread, and crumbs fall on the snow.
POSY: Here.
EVERYONE: Mmm.
DESCRIPTION: Everyone pats their tummy.
POSY: Mrs. Crunchybum was a nice friend. But she's a way better biscuit!
[Everyone laughs, footsteps crunch, exclaiming, giggling]
