DESCRIPTION: In an animation, Posy, a brown-haired mouse, steps forward.
POSY: Pip!
DESCRIPTION: Pip, a grey-haired rabbit, steps forward.
PIP: Posy!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy grab each other’s hands and dance together. Pip wears a long-sleeved white-and-green striped shirt and jeans. Posy wears a blue-and-red T-shirt with a blue-and-white polka-dot skirt. Pip carries Posy on his back. Posy tosses her toy frog, Froggy, high in the air. She catches Froggy as Pip’s toy pig, Piggy, lands in Pip’s hand.
PIP: Oh!
[Both giggle]
POSY: Come on!
BOTH SAY: Let’s play!
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run together.
[Title] Pip and Posy.
[Upbeat music plays, door clicks]
DESCRIPTION: In his red brick two-storey house, Pip walks through a doorway to a blue bag on a table.
PIP: Ooh.
[Pip giggles, water bottle clunks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts his water bottle on the table and looks around the room.
PIP: Card. Card. Card. Uh... uh...
[Pip gasps, gentle thump]
DESCRIPTION: A card featuring a drawing of Pip, Posy, Froggy, and Piggy leans against the back of the couch next to Piggy.
PIP: Ooh, thanks, Piggy. Forgot you were looking after it. It's a "sorry you've been poorly" card for Posy. Ooh, I can't wait to give it to her.
[Pip laughs, card rustles, click, Pip slurps]
DESCRIPTION: Pip carries Piggy and the card to the table, slides the card into the bag, and drinks from his water bottle.
PIP: Ah. She's only had the sniffles for a couple of days, but it feels like I haven't seen her in ages.
[Pip hums, bag rustles, water splashes, snow crunches, the music stops, Pip sings, door squeaks]
DESCRIPTION: Pip closes his water bottle partway and puts it in the bag. Later, Pip skips, carrying Piggy towards Posy’s front door. As he reaches to knock, Posy flings the door open, and they bounce in circles together.
POSY: Pip!
PIP: Posy!
[Both laugh, water splashes, Posy squeals, shivers]
POSY: Quick! Out of the cold.
DESCRIPTION: Posy shoves Pip inside.
PIP: Whoa!
[Pip giggles, door slams, rustling, boots thump]
DESCRIPTION: Inside Posy places Piggy and Froggy on a table. Pip takes off his boots.
POSY: Aw, Piggy and Froggy have missed each other.
DESCRIPTION: Pip touches Posy’s nose.
PIP: Not as much as I've missed you.
[Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy holds out her arms.
POSY: Well, I've missed you this much!
[Thump]
DESCRIPTION: Pip holds out his arm and lifts his right leg, knocking over his bag.
PIP: Well, I've missed you this much! Oh, I made you something.
[Bag rustles, upbeat music plays, Posy exclaims]
DESCRIPTION: Pip takes the card out of his bag and shows it to Posy.
PIP: Ta-da!
POSY: Huh?
PIP: Do you like it?
POSY: Um, yeah.
[Posy chuckles]
POSY: What is it?
[Pip gasps, water sloshes]
DESCRIPTION: Pip looks at the soggy card and discovers the colours on his drawing have run. He kneels beside his bag and takes out the water bottle.
PIP: Oh, uh... Oh, no! My water leaked! Aw, your "sorry you've been poorly card" is ruined.
POSY: Well, I still really like it. I'll put it up right over here.
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts the card on a sideboard and turns to Pip.
POSY: Oh, it's so great we're together again. Come on, let's play.
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy kneel on opposite sides of the table, and Posy picks up a deck of cards.
POSY: What about Snap? I've been playing against myself all week. It wasn't much fun, but I always won.
[Pip giggles]
PIP: You might not win this time. Not now, Sir Snap is here.
[Posy giggles, light music plays]
POSY: I'll go first.
DESCRIPTION: Posy flips a strawberry card.
POSY: Your turn.
[Cards rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Pip flips an orange card, Posy flips a lemon, and Pip flips a watermelon. Posy picks up a card.
POSY: S...
[Pip chuckles]
PIP: Posy, you can't say snap until you've turned it over.
POSY: I wasn't! I was just being a snake.
[Both giggle, Posy hisses, card rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts a pear card on the discard pile.
PIP: Then I'm a snake, too.
[Both hiss, both giggle, Posy gasps, hand slaps]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts a pear card on the discard pile, and Posy puts her hand on it.
POSY: Snap! Yay! Sir Snap is beaten.
[Both laugh]
POSY: I love cards, don't you?
[Cards rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy picks up the playing cards, and Pip glances at the soggy card.
PIP: You'd have loved that card.
[Pip sighs, soft music plays]
PIP: Wish you could have seen it. It was really special.
DESCRIPTION: Posy glances at the clay models on a dining room table.
POSY: Oh, do you want to see the clay models I made?
[Posy giggles]
PIP: Oh, um, okay. Whoa! There are loads!
[Clay squelches]
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts green clay on the tip of her nose.
POSY: Hey, Pip.
[Posy growls, Pip giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts her hands on the sides of her head and wiggles her fingers.
PIP: Nice green nosy Posy. It's a good Froggy colour.
[Posy giggles, Pip gasps]
PIP: Let's make Piggy and Froggy.
[Posy gasps, upbeat music plays]
POSY: Yeah!
[Both giggle, clay squelches]
DESCRIPTION: Pip opens a jar of pink clay, and Posy shapes green clay. Pip pokes his fingers into a pink clay head on a yellow clay body, creating two small holes for eyes.
PIP: “I'm a tiny Piggy.”
[Both giggle]
DESCRIPTION: Posy works on her Froggy clay model.
POSY: Two teeny eyes. Done.
[Pip gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Posy holds up her green Froggy with black clay eyes.
PIP: Your Froggy looks amazing.
POSY: So does your Piggy.
PIP: Yeah, she's okay.
[Serious music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip glances at the ruined card.
PIP: But the painting of Piggy on your card was way better.
[Card rustles, Pip sighs]
DESCRIPTION: Pip walks to the sideboard and picks up the card. Posy carries her Froggy model and picks up her Froggy stuffy.
[The music stops]
POSY: But, um, the Froggy’s say, "Don't worry about the card, Pip."
[Posy giggles, Pip sighs]
PIP: My painting of Froggy was great, too. They were both dancing.
[Upbeat music plays, Posy gasps]
POSY: Dancing? Oh, I've got a dance to show you. I made up an "excited to see Pip" dance this morning.
[Click, lively music plays, Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy turns on a music player and dances. She twists and spins.
POSY SINGS: Wiggle-waggle-dip, I'm going to see Pip. Twisty-twisty-spin. So exciting.
[Both laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts down the card and runs to Posy.
PIP: Teach me!
DESCRIPTION: Posy puts her hands on her hips. She and Pip dance and twist. They both spin.
POSY SINGS: Wiggle-waggle-dip I'm going to see Pip. Twisty-twisty-spin. So exciting.
PIP: Aw, now I got it wrong.
[Posy chuckles, click, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Pip turns off the music.
POSY: Don't worry. We'll just go back and start again.
[Light music plays]
PIP: Start again.
[Pip gasps]
PIP: Great idea!
[Pip giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip picks up the card and walks to a bookcase. He picks up a piece of paper and a cup full of markers.
PIP: I'll make the card all over again. Then you'll see how it was supposed to look. No, it'll be even better this time.
POSY: But, Pip, our dance.
[Pip giggles, cup thunks, cards rustle, paper rustles]
DESCRIPTION: At the table in the living room, Pip pushes the cards towards Froggy and Piggy and puts down the markers.
PIP: Perfect. Colours for me, you, Piggy, and Froggy. Oh, this is going to be so good.
POSY: Pip. Stop going on about your card.
[Marker taps, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Pip puts a marker on the table and stands.
PIP: But I really want you to see it. It shows how much I was looking forward to seeing you.
POSY: But you are seeing me. I'm here right now.
POSY SINGS: Hello.
[Posy giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Posy waves at Pip.
POSY: Playing with you is better than any card. Better than any card in the whole wide world.
PIP: You're right. I've been wanting to play with you for days. So, let's just play.
POSY: Yes! Ah, but w-what? We could do anything.
[Pip gasps]
PIP: I know!
[Paper rustles, Pip hums]
DESCRIPTION: Pip folds the paper into a card.
POSY: Oh, Pip, not again.
[Upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Pip offers Posy the card.
PIP: For you.
POSY: Huh?
[Pip chuckles]
PIP: It's not a "sorry you've been poorly card." It's a "what should we play now you're better" card.
POSY: But it's blank.
PIP: Yup. We can draw all the things we want to do together.
[Posy gasps, squeals]
POSY: Me first!
[Posy giggles, markers rattle, scratch]
DESCRIPTION: Posy takes the card to the table and kneels. She picks up a pink marker and draws a picture of the two sledding.
POSY: Let's go sledging!
[Pip gasps, giggles, marker scratches]
DESCRIPTION: On the picture, Pip draws a pirate hat on Posy and an eyepatch on himself.
PIP: Sledging. Pirates.
[Posy giggles, marker scratches]
DESCRIPTION: Posy draws on the picture, then bends her arms and moves them up and down.
POSY: Then we can play robot football.
[Pip giggles, marker scratches]
DESCRIPTION: Pip draws on the picture.
PIP: And bake star cookies.
[Both laugh, caps click]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy put the caps on the markers.
PIP: So, what are we waiting for?
[Both laugh, door opens, sled rustles]
DESCRIPTION: Pip and Posy run outside, wearing their winter coats, mittens, and boots. Posy wears a hat, and Pip wears an eyepatch. He grabs a yellow sled.
POSY: Come on, landlubber. There be snow on them hills.
[Thump]
DESCRIPTION: Posy sits on the sled, and Pip pulls her.
PIP: Yarr!
[Both laugh, cheer]
