Jojo says, IT’S TIME TO LOOK FOR FROGS!
[Gentle, cheerful music plays]
On a sunny day, a butterfly flaps its orange and white.
Gran Gran narrates, OH, IT WAS A SPRING DAY!
THE BLOSSOM WAS ON THE TREES,
THE SUN WAS SHINING,
AND JOJO AND GRAN GRAN,
THAT'S ME,
WERE VISITING THE WETLANDS
CENTRE WITH THE NATURE CLUB!
At the Wetlands Centre, Jojo and Gran Gran kneel on a pond dock with Alfie. On another dock nearby, Cynthia kneels with Jaxon, Raya and Isaiah.
Cynthia says, WE HAVE SOMETHING
VERY EXCITING TO LOOK AT
IN THE BIG POND TODAY.
Alfie asks, IS IT A SHARK?
[Jojo giggling]
[Gran Gran chuckling]
Gran Gran says, OH, I HOPE NOT, ALFIE!
Cynthia says, IT'S A CREATURE YOU ALL KNOW,
BUT IT MIGHT LOOK A LITTLE BIT
DIFFERENT TODAY.
Everyone looks in the water.
Jojo says, LOOK.
She points to the water.
[Gasping]
Eggs float in the water.
One of the kids says, WOAH, LOOK AT THAT!
Another says, THERE'S SO MANY OF THEM!
Gran Gran says, REMEMBER, WE MUSTN'T TOUCH ANY
OF THE POND CREATURES.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE?
Jojo asks, IS IT ONE BIG WOBBLY JELLYFISH?
Cynthia says, OH, IT'S NOT ONE THING, JOJO.
IT'S HUNDREDS OF LITTLE THINGS,
ALL SQUISHED UP TOGETHER.
Jaxon asks, ARE THEY ALIENS?
[Giggling]
Cynthia says, NO.
THESE CREATURES DEFINITELY
BELONG ON PLANET EARTH.
Gran Gran says, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN GET A CLOSER LOOK.
Gran Gran and Cynthia carefully dip small fish nets into the pond.
Gran Gran says, GENTLY.
She scoops a small number of eggs into the net.
Gran Gran says, WE'LL NEED TO PUT THEM BACK LATER.
She takes the net out of the water and puts the eggs in a water container.
Gran Gran says, THIS IS FROG SPAWN.
Jojo says, OOH!
Gran Gran says, ONE DAY, THESE EGGS
WILL GROW INTO FROGS!
Jojo says, GRAN GRAN, THEY DON'T LOOK
LIKE FROGS.
FROGS HAVE BIG, BOINGY LEGS.
Gran Gran says, AH-HAH!
THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE
FROGS YET, JOJO.
BUT THEY WILL,
ONCE THEY'VE GROWN A BIT.
Jojo looks at Panda thoughtfully.
Jojo says, HMM.
[Cheerful music plays]
In live-action, in a playroom, a girl with long, brown hair wearing a yellow T-shirt sits beside a boy with short, black hair wearing a green and grey T-shirt.
The girl wearing a yellow T-shirt says, FROG SPAWNS ARE KIND OF LIQUID, LIKE A SEE-THROUGH EGG.
Outside, a boy with short, blond hair wearing a yellow zipper hoodie sits beside a boy with buzzed, black hair wearing a blue and white striped, long-sleeve shirt.
The boy wearing a striped shirt says, THEY HATCH INTO A TADPOLE,
THEN THE TADPOLE GROWS LEGS,
THEN IT… THEN IT'S CALLED
A FROGLET.
THEN IT LOSES ITS TAIL,
AND TURN BIG,
BIG AND GREEN,
AND IT TURNS INTO A FROG.
The blond-haired boy grins.
He says, I DID NOT KNOW THAT PART! I SAW A FROG ONCE.
In another playroom, a boy with short, brown hair wearing a grey zipper hoodie with dinosaurs on it sits beside a girl with bangs wearing her long, black hair in buns who wears a blue polka dot zipper hoodie over a yellow shirt.
The girl wearing a blue zipper hoodie says, FROGS STICK THEIR TONGUES OUT TO GET FLIES TO EAT. EWW.
The boy wearing a dinosaur zipper hoodie sticks his tongue out like a frog. Outside, a boy with short, black hair wearing a colourful sweater with houses, forests and rainbows sits beside a girl wearing her long, black hair in pigtails who wears a green and white striped T-shirt with flamingos.
The boy wearing a colourful shirt says, THEY SAY, LIKE, "RIBBIT! RIBBIT!
AND THEIR DADS SAY,
"RIBBIT, RIBBIT!"
AND THEIR MUMS SAY,
"RIBBIT, RIBBIT!
The girl wearing a yellow T-shirt and the boy wearing a green and grey T-shirt jump on the spot like frogs.

Jojo and Gran Gran join Alfie and Raya.
Gran Gran says, OH, THAT WAS VERY QUICK SPOTTING!
A caterpillar crawls up a leaf.
Alfie says, IT'S SO WIGGLY!
[Gran Gran chuckling]
The caterpillar munches on the leaf.
Gran Gran says, EVENTUALLY, THIS LITTLE
CATERPILLAR WILL CHANGE
INTO A BUTTERFLY WITH BEAUTIFUL
FLUTTERY WINGS.
A butterfly with orange and white wings lands on a branch in the bush.
Gran Gran says, BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK MUCH LIKE A
BUTTERFLY NOW, DOES IT?
On a picnic blanket, Cynthia says, OKAY, EVERYONE.
WHO WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT

The butterfly flies away.
Isaiah says, ME!
Jaxon says, OH, I WOULD!
Alfie says, ME!
Jojo says, ME! ME! ME!

Isaiah says, ME! ME!
[Cheerful music plays]
Inside the Wetlands Centre, Cynthia stands beside a large wall chart with pictures of a frog’s life cycle. Gran Gran stands facing Cynthia with Jojo, Jaxon, Alfie, Raya and Isaiah.
Cynthia says, THESE PICTURES SHOW HOW FROGS
CHANGE AS THEY GROW.
THEY START OFF
AS LITTLE WOBBLY EGGS,
LIKE THE ONES WE SAW
IN THE POND.
Jaxon says, FROG PRAWNS!
Alfie says, FROG SPAWN.
[Cynthia chuckling]
Cynthia says, WHEN THE WOBBLY EGGS HATCH,

[Gran Gran chuckling]
Gran Gran tickles Jojo.
Gran Gran says, WRIGGLE, WRIGGLE.
[Jojo and Gran Gran giggling]

Gran Gran says, OH, THEY WON'T BE FROGS YET,JOJO.
Cynthia says, OH, IT WILL TAKE A FEW MONTHS FOR THEM TO GROW INTO FROGS.
Raya whispers to Alfie, IS THAT A LONG TIME?

[Gran Gran chuckling]
Gran Gran says, HMM.
She looks toward a large whiteboard hanging on the wall beside Cynthia.
Gran Gran says, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A GRAN GRAN PLAN.
[Celebratory music plays]

Cynthia says, AND WE CAN TAKE IT IN TURNS TO COME TO THE WETLAND CENTRE EACH WEEK!
Gran Gran says, IT'S A BIG JOB,
TEAM NATURE CLUB.
DO YOU THINK WE CAN DO IT?
The kids all cheer, YES!
[Bright music plays]
Drawings of frog spawns as eggs appear on the whiteboard as the start of a frog life cycle wall chart. Outside on the pond, Jojo and Gran Gran watch Jaxon and Ezra kneel on a dock. Ezra carefully scoops a tadpole out of the water with a small fishing net and releases it into a water container. Gran Gran takes a picture of the tadpole with her tablet.
[Camera shutter clicking]
In the Wetlands Centre, Gran Gran adds a printout of the tadpole picture to the whiteboard. Jojo and Jaxon smile. At a table, Isaiah colours a drawing of a tadpole purple. He adds the drawing to the whiteboard beside Gran Gran’s picture. Isaiah’s dad, Anton, smiles.
[Bright music continues]
A note and another drawing of a tadpole appears on the whiteboard. Outside, baby frogs with two legs and long tails swim around the pond. Cynthia kneels on a dock with Alfie. Alfie shows Cynthia a drawing of a baby frog, and Cynthia smiles. Inside, Alfie hangs his drawing on the whiteboard. A picture of Cynthia, Gran Gran and the rest of the Nature Club appears in the centre of the wall chart on the whiteboard. Outside, Raya and her mom Nirada, look around the wetlands carrying small nets. Raya looks in one of the ponds.
[Raya gasping]
Raya says, MUM, LOOK! OVER HERE!
She points toward a frog with a long tail floating in the water. Nirada takes a picture of the frog with her smartphone.
[Camera shutter clicking]
At the park, Jojo climbs a curved ladder to the top of a slide with Panda. Gran Gran holds her hand over Jojo’s back until she reaches the top.
[Ringing]
Gran Gran checks her phone. She shows Jojo Nirada’s picture of the frog with the long tail. At the Wetlands Centre, Nirada adds a printout of the picture to the whiteboard wall chart, and Raya smiles.
[Birds chirping]
On the pond dock, Jojo and Cynthia kneel with the Nature Club kids and look at the water.
Alfie says, THE FROGS MUST BE HUGE NOW!
Cynthia says, OH, LET'S HAVE A LOOK.
She scans the water where lily pads float.
Jaxon says, I CAN'T SEE THEM.
I THINK THEY'VE GONE BACK
TO SPACE.
[Frog croaking]
A frog leaps onto a nearby rock in the water.
[Jojo gasping]
Jojo says, LOOK!

[Giggling]
A second frog leaps out from under the dock where Cynthia kneels and onto a lily pad.
[Frog croaking]
The second frog leaps into the water. Jaxon holds his hands in front of him like a camera and scans the water.
Jaxon says, OVER THERE!
He spots a frog on a lily pad.
[Frog croaking]
The frog jumps in the water. Later, on a path, a frog leaps out from behind a patch of tall grass ahead of Jojo and Raya.
[Jojo gasping]
Jojo and Raya run toward the frog.
Jojo says, WOW.
[Frog croaking]
Jojo and Raya jump down the path like frogs. Elsewhere in the Wetlands Centre, Alfie and Jaxon stand behind the posts of a large sign and watch a frog.
[Frog croaking]
The frog hops onto a path.
Alfie and Jaxon say, WHOA!
At the hand washing station, a frog sits on Panda.
[Frog croaking]
Jojo and Gran Gran watch the frog leap off Panda and onto the ground near Jojo.

Jojo asks, CAN WE TAKE A PHOTO, GRAN GRAN?
Gran Gran takes her tablet from her purse and takes a picture of the frog in the grass.
[Frog croaking]
[Camera shutter clicking]
In the Wetlands Centre, Gran Gran’s picture of the frog hangs on the whiteboard. Gran Gran, Cynthia and the rest of the Nature Club look at the complete life cycle of a frog on the board.
Cynthia says, GREAT WORK, TEAM NATURE CLUB!
THANKS, CYNTHIA!
Jojo and Raya say, THANK YOU.
Alfie says, THANK YOU, CYNTHIA!
Jaxon says, THAT WAS FUN.

[Frog croaking]
In live-action, in a backyard garden, a man wearing a blue, long-sleeved sweater crouches beside a small pond in a box. A short-haired man walks toward the pond with a brown-haired girl wearing a pink, long-sleeved shirt and a black-haired boy with glasses wearing an orange jacket over a yellow T-shirt.
A child narrates, MY DAD IS TEACHING US
TO LOOK FOR SOME FROGS.
OUR FRIEND NEIL
KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THEM.
The two kids approach the man in the blue sweater.
The kids say, HI, NEIL!
The man in the blue sweater, Neil, says, HI, DAN. HI, TILLIE. YOU EXCITED TO SEE SOME FROGS?
The kids, Dan and Tillie, say, YES.
Dan and Tilly look in the pond, holding small nets. The short-haired man stands nearby.
Neil asks, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
Tadpoles swim in the water.
Dan and Tillie say, TADPOLES!
Neil says, SO, WHAT I'M GOING TO DO IS,
I'M GOING TO LOOK FOR THE
TADPOLE THAT I'M GOING TO GET.
I'M GOING TO CUP MY HANDS.
Neil cups his hands under a tadpole in the water.
He says, LOOK.
Dan says, WOW!
Neil asks, ARE YOU GOING TO USE A NET?
Dan says, I'LL TRY TO USE MY NET.
Dan and Tillie dip their nets in the water. Tillie pulls her net out.
Dan asks, DID YOU GET ONE?
Tillie looks in her net.
Tillie says, GOT ONE.
Neil says, WELL DONE!
Tillie puts her net in a water container and the tadpole inside swims out.
Dan narrates, WE HAVE TO BE GENTLE SO WE DON'T HURT THE TADPOLES.
Other tadpoles swim around in the container.
Dan says, THEY HAVE BLACK BODIES. THEN A LONG TAIL ON THE BACK.
He and Tillie watch the tadpoles.
Dan says, ITS TAIL IS SEE-THROUGH. AND YOU CAN KIND OF SEE, LIKE, LITTLE EYES.
Neil asks, HOW MANY EYES HAVE THEY GOT?
Dan says, THEY HAVE TWO.
Tillie says, TWO.
Neil asks, AND DO THEY LOOK LIKE FROGS YET?
Dan and Tillie say, NO!
Tillie shakes her head. A cluster of tadpole eggs float in water.
Dan narrates, THEY START AS EGGS
CALLED FROG SPAWN.
THESE EGGS HATCH
AND BECOME TADPOLES.
A larger tadpole with tiny feet and a long tail swims in water.
Dan narrates, TADPOLES GROW LEGS.
A frog-like tadpole with arms, legs and a short tail stands on rocks at the bottom of a pond.
Dan narrates, THEIR LEGS GET LONGER AND THEIR TAILS BECOME SHORTER.
A frog sits in a pond.
Dan narrates UNTIL THEY CHANGE INTO FROGS!
Neil cups his hands.
Tillie says, OH, A FROG!
Neil carefully holds a frog in one hand.
Dan says, HI, LITTLE FELLOW!
He gently pets the frog with one finger.
Neil says, THEY COME IN LOTS OF
DIFFERENT COLOURS,
AND MOST OF THEM ARE A GREY-
GREENY COLOUR, OR A BROWN.
BUT SOMETIMES, YOU GET THEM
IN BRIGHT RED OR BRIGHT YELLOW.
Tillie puts her hands under the frog’s webbed feet.
Neil asks, WHAT DOES HE FEEL LIKE?
Tillie says, SOFT AND SLIMY.
Neil says, SOFT AND SLIMY.
Tillie says, YEAH.
Neil says, DO YOU KNOW, FROGS,
THEY BREATHE,
LIKE WE DO,
THROUGH THEIR MOUTHS,
BUT THEY CAN ALSO BREATH
THROUGH THEIR SKIN.
Tillie says, THEY LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE
WEBBED FEET.
Neil says, WEBBED FEET FOR SWIMMING.
AND FROGS CAN ALSO DRINK WATER
THROUGH THEIR SKIN,
FROM WHAT IS CALLED
A "DRINKING PATCH,"
WHICH IS LOCATED ON THEIR BELLY
OR THEIR THIGHS.
SO, SHALL WE PUT HIM AWAY
SAFELY?
Dan and Tillie say, YEAH!
Neil says, OKAY.
DO YOU WANT TO SAY
GOODBYE?
Dan and Tillie say, GOODBYE, FROGGY!
Dan narrates, WE LOVE LOOKING FOR FROGS.
[Cheerful music plays]
[Frog croaking]
In Jojo’s animated world, Jojo sits at Gran Gran’s kitchen table, colouring a drawing of a frog. Gran Gran watches her and smiles.
Jojo says, THE FROGS CHANGED A LOT, DIDN'T THEY, GRAN GRAN?
Gran Gran says, OH, THEY CERTAINLY DID! NO MORE WOBBLY EGGS OR WRIGGLY TAILS.
She tickles Jojo.
[Jojo giggling]
Jojo says, AND WE DIDN'T MISS ANY OF IT!
Gran Gran says, NO, THAT'S RIGHT!
AND I'M SURE TEAM NATURE CLUB
WILL BE NEEDED AGAIN VERY SOON.
[Jojo giggling]
Gran Gran picks up Jojo.
Jojo says, I LOVE YOU, GRAN GRAN.
Gran Gran says, OH, I LOVE YOU TOO, JOJO!
She hugs Jojo close.

[Frog croaking]
[Raya gasping ]
Raya says, IT'S A FROG!
[Gasping]
Jaxon says, OH, YAY!
Isaiah says, WOW!
[Frog croaking]
The frog leaps off the rock and dives into the water.
[Frog croaking]
Near a pond, Jojo, Gran Gran and Isaiah watch a frog standing in tall grass.
Jojo says, OH!
Isaiah says, THAT ONE IS MASSIVE.
Isaiah says, THAT WAS AMAZING!
[Gentle music plays]
