In the winter, a black-haired man with a neatly trimmed beard, Jarrod, makes a snowman. He waves as Jojo and Gran Gran walk by in their winter coats. In the Spring, Gran Gran’s grey-haired neighbour, Cynthia, waters the flowers in her front garden. Jojo and Gran Gran wave on their way to Gran Gran’s house.

Gran Gran says IT NEEDS TO BE BIG ENOUGH FOR US TO SLEEP IN.
Jojo says, GRAN PANDA, WE'RE GOING TO SLEEP OUTSIDE TONIGHT.

Lexi says, THERE YOU GO.
Lexi gives Jojo a tent pole. The pole breaks open and reveals rope inside.
[Creaking, dramatic music notes play]
Jojo says, OH, NO! DID I BREAK IT?
Lexi says, NO, JOJO. IT CLICKS BACK TOGETHER.
Jojo pushes the pieces of the pole back together.
[Rustling]
Uncle Tyrell says, RIGHT, LET'S GET THIS TENT UP.
They unroll the purple tent and slide the poles into four slots. The tent is set up with an awning over the entrance. Lexi puts tent pegs into the ground. Uncle Tyrell ties rope around the pegs and hammers them into the ground. Gran Gran hammers pegs into the ground on the other side of the tent.
[Upbeat music plays, tapping]
Uncle Tyrell says, JOJO, GRAN GRAN, YOU'VE PUT UP YOUR FIRST TENT.
Gran Gran and Jojo say, AHH... WOW!
Gran Gran says, I LOVE HOW PEACEFUL THE COUNTRYSIDE IS.
[Birds chirping]
Uncle Tyrell says, I LOVE SPOTTING WILDLIFE.
Lexi says, AND I LOVE PLAYING OUTSIDE ALL DAY.
[Gentle music notes play]
Jojo says, HMM... I'M NOT SURE WHAT I LOVE YET.
Gran Gran says, OH, THAT'S OKAY, JOJO. OUR CAMPING ADVENTURE HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN.
Lexi cheers, YEAH!
[Jojo giggling]
Later, Jojo picks up a lantern.
Jojo asks, WHAT'S THIS, LEXI?
[Birds chirping]
Lexi says, THAT'S MY SPECIAL LANTERN. DADDY GAVE IT TO ME FOR MY FIRST CAMPING TRIP. IT WAS REALLY, REALLY DARK. IT HELPED US TO SEE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Gran Gran says, THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS ON CAMPSITES, JOJO. SO, WE'LL JUST HAVE LEXI'S LANTERN AND THE STARS.
Jojo says, OOH!
Jojo, Lexi, and Gran Gran carry sleeping bags into the tent. Uncle Tyrell is setting up a table with plates, cups, and a canister.
Uncle Tyrell says, YOU CAN SET YOUR BEDS UP OVER THERE.
Jojo asks, CAN YOU HELP ME, LEXI?
[Gentle music plays]
Lexi says, YOUR CAMPING MAT GOES FIRST, THEN THE SLEEPING BAG, WHICH IS MY FAVOURITE. IT'S SO WARM! YOU FORGET YOU'RE SLEEPING IN A TENT OUTSIDE.
[Sleeping bag rustling]
Lexi and Jojo jump up and down.
[Lexi and Jojo giggling]
Uncle Tyrell looks out the tent window.
[Rain pitter-patters]
[Uncle Tyrell gasping]
Uncle Tyrell says, OH, IT'S RAINING! QUICK, HELP ME GET EVERYTHING INSIDE.
They carry a cooler, the lantern and other supplies into the tent.
[Upbeat music plays, rustling]
Jojo and Lexi run to the tent door and watch the rain.
[Both laughing, rain pitter-patters]
Gran Gran says, OH! THIS REMINDS ME OF SAINT LUCIA WHEN I WAS SMALL. I USED TO LISTEN TO THE RAIN TAP-TAP-TAPPING ON THE ROOFS.
Later, Lexi and Jojo jump into a large puddle. Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell watch, smiling.
Lexi says, WOW!
[Both laughing, splashing, birds chirping]
Jojo says, I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY MUDDY PUDDLES.
[Everyone laughing]
Lexi asks, DADDY, CAN WE SHOW JOJO AND GRAN GRAN THE FOREST?
Uncle Tyrell says, OF COURSE. IF WE'RE LUCKY, WE MIGHT EVEN
SPOT SOME WILDLIFE.
[Upbeat music plays]
In the forest, Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell walk behind Jojo and Lexi on a dirt path. Everyone stops and watches a grey squirrel on a tree branch.
Jojo exclaims, OH!
[Giggling]
Jojo and Lexi run forward on the path. Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell stop walking and look around. Jojo holds Panda out from her hiding spot behind a tree.
Jojo and Lexi shout, BOO!
Gran Gran says, OOH!
Uncle Tyrell says, WHOA! OH, YOU...!
[Jojo and Lexi laughing, upbeat music plays]
Jojo holds Panda over a hoof print in the dirt. She looks at Lexi, and Lexi shrugs. Uncle Tyrell points to a buck grazing in a clearing.
Jojo whispers, WOW!
Jojo says, HMM... PANDA'S HUNGRY, GRAN GRAN.
[Whooshing]
Jojo, Gran Gran, Lexi and Uncle Tyrell walk on the path. Beside the path, a man and a young girl kneel beside a tree and pick up fallen branches.
[Clattering]
Gran Gran says, HMM…JOJO... I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A GRAN GRAN PLAN.
[Triumphant music plays]
Gran Gran says, WE CAN COLLECT WOOD FALLEN FROM TREES AND LIGHT A FIRE TO MAKE SOME DINNER.
[Jojo squeals happily]
Back at the campsite, Gran Gran leans the sticks together in a ring of stones.
[Upbeat music plays, birds chirping]
Jojo asks, WHAT ARE THE STONES FOR, UNCLE TYRELL?
Uncle Tyrell says, IT'S A CAMPFIRE RING, AND IT STOPS OUR FIRE FROM SPREADING.
Gran Gran gestures at a tripod over the campfire ring.
Gran Gran says, I KNOW THIS PART. IT'S TO HANG OUR POT ON TO MAKE LOVELY SOUP.
Uncle Tyrell says, EXACTLY, GRAN GRAN. NOW... STEP BACK; IT'S TIME TO LIGHT OUR CAMPFIRE.
[Match snicks]
Uncle Tyrell starts the campfire.
[Flames crackle]
Jojo says, WHOA! IT'S VERY HOT!
Gran Gran says, NOW, IT'S TIME TO COOK.
Uncle Tyrell and Gran Gran add ingredients to the pot hanging off the tripod. Later, Gran Gran ladles soup into bowls and everyone sits down and eats. The campfire burns lower as night falls. Gran Gran slides a marshmallow onto a stick. She and Uncle Tyrell each roast two marshmallows and squish one between graham crackers.
[Upbeat music plays]
Jojo and Lexi say, MMM!
Lexi says, SO GOOD!
Jojo says, DELICIOUS!
Hot coals burn in the campfire ring.
[Lexi yawning]
Lexi says, I'M A BIT TIRED NOW.
Gran Gran says, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR BED, YOU TWO.
Jojo and Lexi grumble, AWW...
Uncle Tyrell says, SO, YOU HAVE ALL THE ENERGY FOR TOMORROW'S FUN ACTIVITIES.
Uncle Tyrell pours sand on the coals.
[Owl hooting, sand rustling]
Jojo says, IT'S SO DARK! LEXI, WE NEED YOUR LANTERN TO GET BACK TO THE TENT.
Lexi turns on her lantern.
[Clicking]

Lexi holds Jojo’s hand.

Everyone lies in their sleeping bags in front of the tent. They look up at the night sky.
Jojo and Lexi say, WOW!
Jojo says, I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY STARS.
Lexi says, THERE MUST BE MORE THAN A MILLION!
[Owl hooting]
Jojo says, AND IT'S SO QUIET.
Gran Gran whispers, THAT'S WHY I LOVE CAMPING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE. IT'S VERY PEACEFUL.
Uncle Tyrell says, JOJO, YOU NEVER TOLD US WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT CAMPING.

Back at the campsite, Uncle Tyrell waves at Gran Gran as he and Lexi walk away from the tent. Gran Gran sits on a chair and turns as Jojo walks out of the tent, smiling.
Lexi shouts, BYE!
Gran Gran says, MORNING, JOJO. HOW DID YOU SLEEP?
Jojo says, IT WAS THE BEST SLEEP EVER!
[Upbeat music plays]

[Birds chirping]
Uncle Tyrell says, I LOVE SPOTTING WILDLIFE.
Lexi says, AND I LOVE PLAYING OUTSIDE ALL DAY.
[Gentle music notes play]
Jojo says, HMM... I'M NOT SURE WHAT I LOVE YET.
Gran Gran says, OH, THAT'S OKAY, JOJO. OUR CAMPING ADVENTURE HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN.
Lexi cheers, YEAH!
[Jojo giggling]
Later, Jojo picks up a lantern.
Jojo asks, WHAT'S THIS, LEXI?
[Birds chirping]
Lexi says, THAT'S MY SPECIAL LANTERN. DADDY GAVE IT TO ME FOR MY FIRST CAMPING TRIP. IT WAS REALLY, REALLY DARK. IT HELPED US TO SEE.
[Upbeat music plays]
Gran Gran says, THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS ON CAMPSITES, JOJO. SO, WE'LL JUST HAVE LEXI'S LANTERN AND THE STARS.
Jojo says, OOH!
Jojo, Lexi, and Gran Gran carry sleeping bags into the tent. Uncle Tyrell is setting up a table with plates, cups, and a canister.
Uncle Tyrell says, YOU CAN SET YOUR BEDS UP OVER THERE.
Jojo asks, CAN YOU HELP ME, LEXI?
[Gentle music plays]
Lexi says, YOUR CAMPING MAT GOES FIRST, THEN THE SLEEPING BAG, WHICH IS MY FAVOURITE. IT'S SO WARM! YOU FORGET YOU'RE SLEEPING IN A TENT OUTSIDE.
[Sleeping bag rustling]
Lexi and Jojo jump up and down.
[Lexi and Jojo giggling]
Uncle Tyrell looks out the tent window.
[Rain pitter-patters]
[Uncle Tyrell gasping]
Uncle Tyrell says, OH, IT'S RAINING! QUICK, HELP ME GET EVERYTHING INSIDE.
They carry a cooler, the lantern and other supplies into the tent.
[Upbeat music plays, rustling]
Jojo and Lexi run to the tent door and watch the rain.
[Both laughing, rain pitter-patters]
Gran Gran says, OH! THIS REMINDS ME OF SAINT LUCIA WHEN I WAS SMALL. I USED TO LISTEN TO THE RAIN TAP-TAP-TAPPING ON THE ROOFS.
Later, Lexi and Jojo jump into a large puddle. Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell watch, smiling.
Lexi says, WOW!
[Both laughing, splashing, birds chirping]
Jojo says, I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY MUDDY PUDDLES.
[Everyone laughing]
Lexi asks, DADDY, CAN WE SHOW JOJO AND GRAN GRAN THE FOREST?
Uncle Tyrell says, OF COURSE. IF WE'RE LUCKY, WE MIGHT EVEN
SPOT SOME WILDLIFE.
[Upbeat music plays]
In the forest, Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell walk behind Jojo and Lexi on a dirt path. Everyone stops and watches a grey squirrel on a tree branch.
Jojo exclaims, OH!
[Giggling]
Jojo and Lexi run forward on the path. Gran Gran and Uncle Tyrell stop walking and look around. Jojo holds Panda out from her hiding spot behind a tree.
Jojo and Lexi shout, BOO!
Gran Gran says, OOH!
Uncle Tyrell says, WHOA! OH, YOU...!
[Jojo and Lexi laughing, upbeat music plays]
Jojo holds Panda over a hoof print in the dirt. She looks at Lexi, and Lexi shrugs. Uncle Tyrell points to a buck grazing in a clearing.
Jojo whispers, WOW!
Jojo says, HMM... PANDA'S HUNGRY, GRAN GRAN.
[Whooshing]
Jojo, Gran Gran, Lexi and Uncle Tyrell walk on the path. Beside the path, a man and a young girl kneel beside a tree and pick up fallen branches.
[Clattering]
Gran Gran says, HMM…JOJO... I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A GRAN GRAN PLAN.
[Triumphant music plays]
Gran Gran says, WE CAN COLLECT WOOD FALLEN FROM TREES AND LIGHT A FIRE TO MAKE SOME DINNER.
[Jojo squeals happily]
Back at the campsite, Gran Gran leans the sticks together in a ring of stones.
[Upbeat music plays, birds chirping]
Jojo asks, WHAT ARE THE STONES FOR, UNCLE TYRELL?
Uncle Tyrell says, IT'S A CAMPFIRE RING, AND IT STOPS OUR FIRE FROM SPREADING.
Gran Gran gestures at a tripod over the campfire ring.
Gran Gran says, I KNOW THIS PART. IT'S TO HANG OUR POT ON TO MAKE LOVELY SOUP.
Uncle Tyrell says, EXACTLY, GRAN GRAN. NOW... STEP BACK; IT'S TIME TO LIGHT OUR CAMPFIRE.
[Match snicks]
Uncle Tyrell starts the campfire.
[Flames crackle]
Jojo says, WHOA! IT'S VERY HOT!
Gran Gran says, NOW, IT'S TIME TO COOK.
Uncle Tyrell and Gran Gran add ingredients to the pot hanging off the tripod. Later, Gran Gran ladles soup into bowls and everyone sits down and eats. The campfire burns lower as night falls. Gran Gran slides a marshmallow onto a stick. She and Uncle Tyrell each roast two marshmallows and squish one between graham crackers.
[Upbeat music plays]
Jojo and Lexi say, MMM!
Lexi says, SO GOOD!
Jojo says, DELICIOUS!
Hot coals burn in the campfire ring.
[Lexi yawning]
Lexi says, I'M A BIT TIRED NOW.
Gran Gran says, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR BED, YOU TWO.
Jojo and Lexi grumble, AWW...
Uncle Tyrell says, SO, YOU HAVE ALL THE ENERGY FOR TOMORROW'S FUN ACTIVITIES.
Uncle Tyrell pours sand on the coals.
[Owl hooting, sand rustling]
Jojo says, IT'S SO DARK! LEXI, WE NEED YOUR LANTERN TO GET BACK TO THE TENT.
Lexi turns on her lantern.
[Clicking]
Jojo says, OOH!
Lexi holds Jojo’s hand.
Jojo says, AHH...
[Whooshing, owl hooting, upbeat music notes play]
Everyone lies in their sleeping bags in front of the tent. They look up at the night sky.
Jojo and Lexi say, WOW!
Jojo says, I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY STARS.
Lexi says, THERE MUST BE MORE THAN A MILLION!
[Owl hooting]
Jojo says, AND IT'S SO QUIET.
Gran Gran whispers, THAT'S WHY I LOVE CAMPING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE. IT'S VERY PEACEFUL.
Uncle Tyrell says, JOJO, YOU NEVER TOLD US WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT CAMPING.
[Upbeat music plays]
Gran Gran asks, JOJO? LEXI?
Jojo and Lexi sleep with their heads together.
Uncle Tyrell says, AH.
[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]
In live action, a boy carries a yellow soccer ball and a pair of racquets. He wears a blue puffy jacket and has short dark brown hair. A young girl walks behind him wearing a blue coat. A woman with long dark brown hair wears a black jacket, and a man with short black hair wears a black jacket with dark grey lining. Both adults carry sleeping bags and other gear. They walk between tents in a field.
The short-haired boy says, I'M CAMPING WITH MY FAMILY. THIS IS THE CAMPSITE.
The boy, his sister, and his dad open a red duffel bag.
[Zipper unzipping]
The short-haired boy says, TIME TO PUT UP THE TENT. I'M PUTTING THE POLES TOGETHER.
The boy’s dad says, THREAD IT THROUGH.
The short-haired boy says, IT'S GOING THROUGH, DADDY.
The boy’s dad says, WELL DONE, BRANDON. WE GOT IT.
They put the red tent on the ground, and Brandon’s dad positions a tent peg.
The short-haired boy, Brandon, narrates, DADDY'S LETTING ME BANG THE PEGS IN.
[Tapping]
Brandon says, OH, WELL, THAT WAS QUICK!
Brandon’s dad says, OKAY.
Brandon narrates, AND THESE ONES, TOO. WE DID IT!
Brandon’s dad unzips the tent, and Brandon and his sister lie inside.
[Tapping, unzipping]
Brandon says, OOH!
Brandon narrates, THIS IS WHERE WE'LL BE SLEEPING LATER. WE NEED ROLL MATS...
Brandon’s dad gives him a blue roll mat, and he unrolls it inside the tent..
[Sister exclaiming]
Brandon narrates, AND SLEEPING BAGS.
Brandon’s dad gives him a sleeping bag.
Brandon says, OH, WOW! THANK YOU.
Brandon narrates, THIS IS GOING TO BE SO COSY.
Outside, a picnic of grapes, cucumber slices, peppers, apples, bananas and bread is spread out on a table.
Brandon narrates, OUR PICNIC IS READY!
[Sister giggling]
Brandon narrates, WE'VE GOT CUCUMBER, GRAPES, APPLES...
[Sister giggling]
Brandon narrates, AND MUMMY'S MAKING US A MARSHMALLOW TREAT.
Brandon’s mom puts marshmallows on metal forks. She roasts the marshmallows over a fire in a barbecue.
Brandon narrates, WHILE THE MARSHMALLOWS ARE TOASTING...
Brandon says, OH!
Brandon and his dad use racquets and hit a ball attached to a pole.
Brandon narrates, ...I'M PLAYING A FUN GAME WITH DADDY.
Brandon narrates, THE MARSHMALLOWS ARE READY TO BE SQUASHED BETWEEN BISCUITS.
Brandon’s mom squishes the marshmallows between biscuits and puts them on plates.
Brandon’s mom says, IT'S READY! OH, COME ON, THEN. SIT ON DADDY.
Everyone eats their marshmallows and biscuits.
Brandon narrates, IT'S DELICIOUS.
Brandon’s mom says, MMM!
Brandon narrates, I LOVE CAMPING WITH MY FAMILY.
Back at the campsite, Uncle Tyrell waves at Gran Gran as he and Lexi walk away from the tent. Gran Gran sits on a chair and turns as Jojo walks out of the tent, smiling.
Lexi shouts, BYE!
Gran Gran says, MORNING, JOJO. HOW DID YOU SLEEP?
Jojo says, IT WAS THE BEST SLEEP EVER!
[Upbeat music plays]
Gran Gran asks, HAVE YOU DECIDED WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT CAMPING?
Jojo says, UM...OOH! SLEEPING OUTSIDE WITH THE STARS.
Gran Gran says, AWW!
Jojo climbs up onto Gran Gran’s lap and hugs her. They both smile.
Jojo says, I LOVE YOU, GRAN GRAN.
[Gran Gran laughing]
Gran Gran says, I LOVE YOU, TOO, JOJO!
[Gentle, uplifting music plays]
