RAYA: Hi-ya.
ALFIE: Hi-ya.
DESCRIPTION: Henry waves.
BONNIE: Have fun at your dance class, Henry.
DESCRIPTION: Bonnie kneels and hugs Henry.
HENRY: Bye, Mum!
DESCRIPTION: Henry, Jojo and Gran Gran wave. Bonnie waves and leaves.
JOJO: Guess who the teacher is, Henry.
HENRY: Um...
JOJO: It's my Auntie Dee!
DESCRIPTION: Henry and Gran Gran follow Jojo over to Auntie Dee.
JOJO: Hi, Auntie Dee!
AUNTIE DEE: Hey, JoJo. Welcome, Henry!
HENRY: Hello.
AUNTIE DEE: Hi, Gran Gran. Do you wanna stick around?
GRAN GRAN: I'd love to.
AUNTIE DEE: Are you ready, Henry?
HENRY: Yes!
JOJO: Let's dance!
AUNTIE DEE: Okay, let's start our warm-up, everyone.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee stands before the children, who stand side by side with Gran Gran.
AUNTIE DEE: Let's stretch up to reach something really high.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee, Gran Gran and the children stretch their arms up high.
[Children grunting and laughing]
AUNTIE DEE: Wow. Brilliant. Now, let's get our hearts pumping with some star jumps. Woo!
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee does jumping jacks. Gran Gran and the children do the same.
AUNTIE DEE: Great job! Keep going.
[Children panting]
AUNTIE DEE: Oh, what wonderful stars you are.
[Children breathing heavily]
JOJO: Whoop.
AUNTIE DEE: Now, we're nice and warm. Let's jump and criss-cross our feet. Criss and jump. Cross, jump.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee spreads her feet, then jumps and crosses her right foot over her left. She jumps and stands with her feet apart, then jumps and crosses her left foot over her right. Gran Gran and the children copy her moves.
[Children panting and laughing]
CHILD: I like it!
AUNTIE DEE: Let's add some music.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee presses a button on her speaker.
[Bright music plays]
[Children giggling]
AUNTIE DEE: That's it!
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran and the children continue their criss-cross jumps. Henry stumbles. Alfie grips his walker with one hand and raises the other as he slides his right foot in front of his left.
AUNTIE DEE: Looking good!
ISAIAH: Whee!
[Giggling]
ALFIE: Woo-hoo!
AUNTIE DEE: Oh, I like your moves.
DESCRIPTION: Henry frowns.
JOJO: Woo-hoo!
[Jojo giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Henry stumbles.
HENRY: Ooh!
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Henry stop jumping.
JOJO: What's wrong, Henry? Don't you like dancing?
HENRY: I love dancing, but I can't do it properly.
JOJO: Learning to dance takes practice. Just copy me.
HENRY: Okay.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo practices criss-cross jumps. Henry watches intently.
[Children laughing and cheering]
JOJO: Whee!
HENRY: Criss.
RAYA: Whoo-hoo!
HENRY: Cross.
DESCRIPTION: Henry practices criss-cross jumps and smiles.
AUNTIE DEE: That's it, Henry.
HENRY: Yay! I got it.
JOJO: Yay! You're doing it, Henry.
AUNTIE DEE: Side step, forward step, side step, back step.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie steps to the left. She steps forward, to the right, and then back, and repeats the steps.
AUNTIE DEE: Side step, forward step, side step, back step.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Henry follow Auntie Dee’s steps, then step into each other.
JOJO AND HENRY GRUNTING: Oof.
[Jojo and Henry giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee stands beside Gran Gran, then they both kneel.
AUNTIE DEE: Let's try this. Do the wave.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee lowers and then raises her arms. Gran Gran does the same, followed by Alfie, Isaiah, Raya, Henry and Jojo.
GRAN GRAN: Woo!
ALFIE: Woo-ho-ho!
ISAIAH: Yes.
RAYA: Yay!
HENRY: Yay!
JOJO: Yay!
DESCRIPTION: On the floor beside Jojo, Hugo tips over into Panda.
[Hugo squeaking]
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee stands facing the class.
AUNTIE DEE: Next up, gallop like ponies.
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee gallops like a pony on the spot. Raya, Alfie and Isaiah gallop across the room. Jojo frowns. She looks at Henry as Henry starts to gallop and bends her knees. Jojo gallops like a pony behind Henry with Panda in her arms.
JOJO: Neigh!
[Jojo giggling]
DESCRIPTION: Henry stops galloping. Jojo puts Panda on the floor and bumps into Henry.
JOJO AND HENRY GRUNTING: Oof!
[Jojo and Henry giggling]
AUNTIE DEE: Now, for a special spin!
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee spins on one foot. Gran Gran, Raya, Isaiah and Henry spin. Alfie turns around between the handles of his walker. Jojo frowns and picks up Panda.
CHILDREN: Woo!
JOJO WHISPERING: Panda, Henry's very good at dancing.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo spins on one foot and stumbles.
JOJO: Whoops!
[Jojo sighing]
DESCRIPTION: Jojo looks disappointed. Later, Jojo and her friends stand spread out across the studio.
AUNTIE DEE: Now, we're all going to try our own dance moves!
CHILDREN CHEERING: Yay!
AUNTIE DEE: In fact, we're all going to dance like any animal we like, and we'll see if we can guess the animal.
ISAIAH: Yay! Yay!
ALFIE: Oh, yes!
RAYA: Yay! Woo!
ALFIE: Let's dance!
JOJO: Hm.
HENRY: What's the matter, JoJo?
JOJO: This is your first class, Henry, and you're so good. I've been practising for ages, and I can't even get my special spin right.
HENRY: I'm only good at dancing because you've shown me the moves.
JOJO: Really?
HENRY: Uh-huh.
GRAN GRAN: Hm. JoJo, Henry. I think it's time for a Gran Gran plan.
[Celebratory music plays]
GRAN GRAN: Why don't you do your animal dance together?
HENRY: That sounds fun! JoJo?
JOJO: Yes! And I know what animal we can be.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo whispers into Henry’s ear.
JOJO WHISPERING: It's really big. It's got a long neck.
[Playful music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Later, Isaiah stands before the class and bounces with his arms bent.
[Children giggling]
HENRY: Boing, boing, boing, boing.
DESCRIPTION: The other children bounce like Isaiah.
JOJO: Rabbit!
DESCRIPTION: Alfie stands before the class. He raises his fist and kicks out his leg.
[Alfie roaring]
[Others roaring]
CHILDREN: A lion!
DESCRIPTION: Raya stands before the class. She puts her hands on her waist and flaps her arms like wings.
RAYA: Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck-cluck, cluck, cluck.
DESCRIPTION: The other children copy Raya.
[Children clucking]
[Jojo giggling]
AUNTIE DEE: Who hasn't done their animal dance yet?
HENRY: We still need to show you our animal. Ready, JoJo?
[Jojo giggling]
JOJO: Yes!
HENRY: Let's dance!
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Henry stand before the class. They hold up their fists and stomp their feet.
JOJO AND HENRY: Stomp, stomp, stomp. Rawr!
GRAN GRAN: I think you're being a pair of dinosaurs!
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran picks up Hugo and Panda.
[Hugo squeaking
GRAN GRAN: Isn't that right, Panda?
DESCRIPTION: Panda’s head rolls forward.
JOJO: Yes!
HENRY: We are!

AUNTIE DEE: Well done, everyone. And now that our dance class is almost finished, let's freestyle!
DESCRIPTION: Auntie Dee presses a button on the speaker.
[Funky music plays]
RAYA: Yay!
ISAIAH: Yes!
JOJO: Oh, I'm going to try to do my special spin.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo spins on one foot and stumbles.
JOJO: Whoop! Oh, I still can't do it.
HENRY: Why don't we try together, JoJo?
JOJO: Okay.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Henry put their palms together and push off each other. They spin and catch each other’s hands.
JOJO: We did it! You are the best dance partner, Henry.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo hugs Henry.
HENRY: So are you, JoJo.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Henry smile.

DESCRIPTION: In pairs, the class skips across the studio, facing their partners and holding their hands. The black-haired student skips with the blond-haired student.
AMY: And one, two, three, four.
BLACK-HAIRED STUDENT NARRATING: We're dancing in pairs.
AMY: One, two, three, four, clap hands, hold, and point.
DESCRIPTION: The partners clap their hands, and then their partners. They skip back across the studio.
AMY: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. And clap your hands. Clap your hands. Clap your hands. Hold hands and point.
DESCRIPTION: The partners practice clapping their hands. They hold hands and point their toes out.
BLACK-HAIRED STUDENT NARRATING: We're getting ready to skip across the room.

DESCRIPTION: The black-haired student skips across the studio with her hands on her hips.
BLACK-HAIRED STUDENT NARRATING: I love skipping.
DESCRIPTION: The other students skip across the room, one after another.
[Students giggling]
DESCRIPTION: The class stands spread out, facing the mirror.
BLACK-HAIRED STUDENT NARRATING: Now, it's time to dance together.

DESCRIPTION: Amy holds up the edges of her skirt. The girls do the same. The blond-haired student stands with his hands on his hips. The class follows Amy’s steps.
AMY: One, two, run first. Step first.
DESCRIPTION: The class runs across the room, then points their toes.
AMY: First, good.
DESCRIPTION: Amy and the class skip to the right.
AMY: First position for your claps.
DESCRIPTION: Amy and the class clap their hands.
[Clapping]
DESCRIPTION: The girls curtsy and the blond-haired student bows. The class skips back to their starting positions.
AMY: Five, six, seven, eight, run.
DESCRIPTION: Amy and the class run on their toes. They point their toes, then skip to the left and clap.
[Clapping]
DESCRIPTION: Amy and the class spin around and point their toes.
AMY: Well done.
STUDENT NARRATING: I love my dance class.
[Whooshing]
[Gentle music plays]
DESCRIPTION: At Gran Gran’s house, Jojo and Gran Gran rest on the sitting room couch with Panda and Hugo.
JOJO: Dancing was so much fun today, Gran Gran.
GRAN GRAN: You and Henry were brilliant at giving everything a go.
JOJO: Henry helped me do my special spin.
GRAN GRAN: And, you helped Henry learn to dance.
JOJO: I love you, Gran Gran.
DESCRIPTION: Jojo and Gran Gran wrap their arms around each other in a hug.
GRAN GRAN: Oh, I love you too, JoJo.
