GRAN GRAN NARRATES: It was a snowy winter day. The trees were bare, the air was frosty, and JoJo and Gran Gran, that's me, were baking in the kitchen.
JOJO: It looks cold outside, Gran Gran.
[Gran Gran chuckles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo and Gran Gran look out the window at the falling snow.
GRAN GRAN: It's not snowed like this for ages. I'm glad we're spending the day inside.
JOJO: Yes, just me, you, and Panda.
[The music stops]
GRAN GRAN: If we're making gingerbread biscuits, we'll need cutters. They're here somewhere.
[Tins rattle, light music plays, cutters rattle]

GRAN GRAN: Ah-ha! What shape shall we make them?

JOJO SINGS: Mix, mix, mix! Mix, mix, mix! Mix, mix, mix!
[Both laugh, doorbell rings, the music stops]
JOJO AND GRAN GRAN: Oh!
GRAN GRAN: I wonder who that can be.
[Monty barks, clink, JoJo giggles, Monty pants, barks, footsteps tap, door opens]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo stops stirring and follows Gran Gran to the front door. Gran Gran opens the door, and Ned stands on the front step holding Monty’s leash.
[Upbeat music plays]
JOJO: Ned and Monty!
NED: Hello, JoJo, Gran Gran.
[Monty barks, Gran Gran shivers, wind gusts]
GRAN GRAN: Come inside!
[Scraping]
DESCRIPTION: Ned and Monty wipe their shoes on a doormat.
NED: Aw. Thanks, Gran Gran. Yeah, it's pretty cold out there.
[Monty barks, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Later, in the kitchen, Gran Gran and Ned stand beside the table, and JoJo sits by the bowl.
JOJO: We're baking gingerbread pandas.
NED: I've never had gingerbread pandas before.
[Ned chuckles]
JOJO: Would you like to help?
NED: Well, I don't think we're going outside for a while, are we? So, yeah, what would you like me to do?
[Ingredients rustle]
JOJO: Can you help me mix? My arms are starting to get a little bit tired.
NED: Aw, of course, JoJo. Might even help me warm up, hey?
[Ned chuckles, rustling, footsteps tap]
DESCRIPTION: Ned walks to the sink.
NED: I'll wash my hands, and I'll help you mix it.
[Water runs, tap squeaks, upbeat music plays, rustle, tap, ingredients squelch, Ned grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Ned washes his hands, then walks back to the table. He picks up the bowl, holds it under his left arm, and stirs with his right hand. Beside him, Gran Gran reads her recipe book.
NED: There we go. Getting thicker, look at that.
[Ned laughs, bowl taps]
DESCRIPTION: Ned puts the bowl on the table in front of JoJo.
NED: There we are. How's that?
JOJO: It looks very nice. What's next, Gran Gran?
GRAN GRAN: Ah, let's see.
[Whooshing, Monty barks, upbeat music plays, JoJo sighs, everyone laughs, oven door opens, tray scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: A rolling pin floats past everyone. Later, Gran Gran sprinkles flour on the table and puts the cookie dough on it. She picks up a rolling pin, then she, Ned, and JoJo each use flour-covered rolling pins to flatten dough. JoJo wipes her brow and glances at Ned. He reaches over and uses his rolling pin on JoJo’s dough. On the table, Panda slumps forward with bits of cookie dough and flour on his legs and arms. JoJo presses the cookie cutter into the dough, making panda-shaped cookies, then puts them on a baking tray. Smiling, Gran Gran picks up the tray and slides it into the oven.
GRAN GRAN: Let's set the timer, JoJo, and wait for them to bake.
[Timer clicks]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo turns a chicken-shaped timer to 15 minutes.
JOJO: Yes!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays, Monty pants, barks, JoJo giggles, JoJo sniffs]
DESCRIPTION: An oven mitt floats past everyone. Later, in the living room, Ned and Gran Gran sit on the couch holding coffee cups. On the floor, Monty runs around JoJo.
[The music stops]
JOJO: Mm! The gingerbread pandas smell so good!
GRAN GRAN: Oh, they should be ready soon.
[Light music notes play]
JOJO: And then we can decorate them!
GRAN GRAN: Oh, yes.
[Light music plays, footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo runs to the living room window, and Ned and Gran Gran follow.
JOJO: Whoa! Gran Gran, the whole street's covered in snow.
NED: Aw, might be a while before we can head home, eh?
GRAN GRAN: Oh, don't worry, Ned. You can stay here as long as you like.
[Ned chuckles]
NED: Thank you.
[Wind blows, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Outside, Jared walks on the sidewalk across the street. He stops and waves, smiling.
JOJO: I can see somebody. They're waving.
[Door creaks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran opens the front door, and Jared arrives, holding his arms tightly across his chest.
JOJO: Jared!
JARED: Hey, JoJo. Gran Gran.
[Hands slap]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo and Jared do a special handshake that involves slapping their hands together, fist-bumping, and a high five.
[The music stops, wind gusts]
JOJO: Jared, your hands are cold.
GRAN GRAN: Quick, come inside and warm up.
[Jared blows out a breath]
JARED: Thank you, Gran Gran.
[Monty barks, Jared chuckles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Jared enters the foyer as Ned and Monty arrive. He kneels and pets Monty.
JARED: Hello, Monty.
[JoJo giggles, timer rings, JoJo gasps]
JOJO: They're ready!
JARED AND NED: Hm.
[Whooshing, tray clinks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A coffee mug floats past everyone as they walk down the hallway. In the kitchen, Gran Gran wears green oven mitts as she puts the tray on a cooling rack on the table.
JARED: Whoa!
JOJO: They're gingerbread pandas.
JARED: They look awesome.
[The music stops]
GRAN GRAN: We still need to decorate them once they've cooled down.
JOJO: Would you like to help, Jared?
JARED: Once I've washed my hands, can I do the blue icing?
[Light music plays]
JOJO: Hm, yes. Once we've all washed our hands.
[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The chicken-shaped timer floats past bowls of purple, white, and blue icing, and a bowl of chocolate chips. Gran Gran pours icing into piping bags. She uses purple icing; Ned uses white icing; Jared points at the blue icing, and JoJo picks up the chocolate chip bowl and takes two. She holds them in front of Panda’s eyes. Gran Gran floods a cookie with purple icing, Ned gives the cookie a white tummy and face, and Jared puts a blue dot on the tummy. JoJo adds chocolate chip eyes. They fill the baking tray with decorated gingerbread pandas.

DESCRIPTION: The piping bag filled with blue icing floats past and everyone looks at two trays of iced gingerbread panda cookies.
JOJO: They're finished.
JARED: These are the best gingerbread pandas I've ever seen.
JOJO: What do you think, Panda?

GRAN GRAN: Aw, it's been a lovely afternoon.
[Gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran looks out the kitchen window.
GRAN GRAN: Oh, and look, it stopped snowing.
[Everyone exclaims, Monty barks, JoJo giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Monty runs to the back door.
JOJO: I think Monty wants to go outside.
GRAN GRAN: Who'd like to eat gingerbread pandas in the garden with some warm cocoa tea?
JOJO: Yes, please!
JARED: Yummy.
NED: Oh, that'd be lovely.
[JoJo squees, Monty barks, whooshing, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: JoJo stops stirring and follows Gran Gran to the front door. Gran Gran opens the door, and Ned stands on the front step holding Monty’s leash.

JOJO: Ned and Monty!
NED: Hello, JoJo, Gran Gran.
[Monty barks, Gran Gran shivers, wind gusts]
GRAN GRAN: Come inside!
[Scraping]
DESCRIPTION: Ned and Monty wipe their shoes on a doormat.
NED: Aw. Thanks, Gran Gran. Yeah, it's pretty cold out there.
[Monty barks, light music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Later, in the kitchen, Gran Gran and Ned stand beside the table, and JoJo sits by the bowl.
JOJO: We're baking gingerbread pandas.
NED: I've never had gingerbread pandas before.
[Ned chuckles]
JOJO: Would you like to help?
NED: Well, I don't think we're going outside for a while, are we? So, yeah, what would you like me to do?
[Ingredients rustle]
JOJO: Can you help me mix? My arms are starting to get a little bit tired.
NED: Aw, of course, JoJo. Might even help me warm up, hey?
[Ned chuckles, rustling, footsteps tap]
DESCRIPTION: Ned walks to the sink.
NED: I'll wash my hands, and I'll help you mix it.
[Water runs, tap squeaks, upbeat music plays, rustle, tap, ingredients squelch, Ned grunts]
DESCRIPTION: Ned washes his hands, then walks back to the table. He picks up the bowl, holds it under his left arm, and stirs with his right hand. Beside him, Gran Gran reads her recipe book.
NED: There we go. Getting thicker, look at that.
[Ned laughs, bowl taps]
DESCRIPTION: Ned puts the bowl on the table in front of JoJo.
NED: There we are. How's that?
JOJO: It looks very nice. What's next, Gran Gran?
GRAN GRAN: Ah, let's see.
[Whooshing, Monty barks, upbeat music plays, JoJo sighs, everyone laughs, oven door opens, tray scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: A rolling pin floats past everyone. Later, Gran Gran sprinkles flour on the table and puts the cookie dough on it. She picks up a rolling pin, then she, Ned, and JoJo each use flour-covered rolling pins to flatten dough. JoJo wipes her brow and glances at Ned. He reaches over and uses his rolling pin on JoJo’s dough. On the table, Panda slumps forward with bits of cookie dough and flour on his legs and arms. JoJo presses the cookie cutter into the dough, making panda-shaped cookies, then puts them on a baking tray. Smiling, Gran Gran picks up the tray and slides it into the oven.
GRAN GRAN: Let's set the timer, JoJo, and wait for them to bake.
[Timer clicks]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo turns a chicken-shaped timer to 15 minutes.
JOJO: Yes!
[Whoosh, upbeat music plays, Monty pants, barks, JoJo giggles, JoJo sniffs]
DESCRIPTION: An oven mitt floats past everyone. Later, in the living room, Ned and Gran Gran sit on the couch holding coffee cups. On the floor, Monty runs around JoJo.
[The music stops]
JOJO: Mm! The gingerbread pandas smell so good!
GRAN GRAN: Oh, they should be ready soon.
[Light music notes play]
JOJO: And then we can decorate them!
GRAN GRAN: Oh, yes.
[Light music plays, footsteps patter]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo runs to the living room window, and Ned and Gran Gran follow.
JOJO: Whoa! Gran Gran, the whole street's covered in snow.
NED: Aw, might be a while before we can head home, eh?
GRAN GRAN: Oh, don't worry, Ned. You can stay here as long as you like.
[Ned chuckles]
NED: Thank you.
[Wind blows, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: Outside, Jared walks on the sidewalk across the street. He stops and waves, smiling.
JOJO: I can see somebody. They're waving.
[Door creaks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran opens the front door, and Jared arrives, holding his arms tightly across his chest.
JOJO: Jared!
JARED: Hey, JoJo. Gran Gran.
[Hands slap]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo and Jared do a special handshake that involves slapping their hands together, fist-bumping, and a high five.
[The music stops, wind gusts]
JOJO: Jared, your hands are cold.
GRAN GRAN: Quick, come inside and warm up.
[Jared blows out a breath]
JARED: Thank you, Gran Gran.
[Monty barks, Jared chuckles, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Jared enters the foyer as Ned and Monty arrive. He kneels and pets Monty.
JARED: Hello, Monty.
[JoJo giggles, timer rings, JoJo gasps]
JOJO: They're ready!
JARED AND NED: Hm.
[Whooshing, tray clinks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A coffee mug floats past everyone as they walk down the hallway. In the kitchen, Gran Gran wears green oven mitts as she puts the tray on a cooling rack on the table.
JARED: Whoa!
JOJO: They're gingerbread pandas.
JARED: They look awesome.
[The music stops]
GRAN GRAN: We still need to decorate them once they've cooled down.
JOJO: Would you like to help, Jared?
JARED: Once I've washed my hands, can I do the blue icing?
[Light music plays]
JOJO: Hm, yes. Once we've all washed our hands.
[Whooshing, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: The chicken-shaped timer floats past bowls of purple, white, and blue icing, and a bowl of chocolate chips. Gran Gran pours icing into piping bags. She uses purple icing; Ned uses white icing; Jared points at the blue icing, and JoJo picks up the chocolate chip bowl and takes two. She holds them in front of Panda’s eyes. Gran Gran floods a cookie with purple icing, Ned gives the cookie a white tummy and face, and Jared puts a blue dot on the tummy. JoJo adds chocolate chip eyes. They fill the baking tray with decorated gingerbread pandas.
[Whooshing, the music stops]
DESCRIPTION: The piping bag filled with blue icing floats past and everyone looks at two trays of iced gingerbread panda cookies.
JOJO: They're finished.
JARED: These are the best gingerbread pandas I've ever seen.
JOJO: What do you think, Panda?
[Light music notes play, everyone laughs]
DESCRIPTION: Panda slumps.
[Light music plays]
GRAN GRAN: Aw, it's been a lovely afternoon.
[Gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran looks out the kitchen window.
GRAN GRAN: Oh, and look, it stopped snowing.
[Everyone exclaims, Monty barks, JoJo giggles]
DESCRIPTION: Monty runs to the back door.
JOJO: I think Monty wants to go outside.
GRAN GRAN: Who'd like to eat gingerbread pandas in the garden with some warm cocoa tea?
JOJO: Yes, please!
JARED: Yummy.
NED: Oh, that'd be lovely.
[JoJo squees, Monty barks, whooshing, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: In live-action, in a kitchen, the brown-haired girl and the girl with the side ponytail sit at a table with a tray filled with sprinkles, candies, and chocolate. A woman with tightly braided black hair puts a tray of gingerbread cookies on the table and sits beside Alana, the girl with the ponytail on the side of her head.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Today, me and my friend Alana are decorating gingerbread biscuits. There's lots of different shapes.
DESCRIPTION: The tray holds cookies shaped like smiling panda faces, squares, flowers, circles, stars, and hearts.
BLACK-HAIRED WOMAN: Should we pick one to decorate?
[Noise of agreement]
DESCRIPTION: Alana nods.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Alana's mummy is helping us. We washed our hands, and we're choosing our biscuits.
DESCRIPTION: Alana chooses a panda face-shaped cookie, and the brown-haired girl chooses a flower shape.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: A flower for me, and Alana has chosen a Panda! We're starting with the icing.
DESCRIPTION: Both girls choose pink icing tubes. Alana spreads white icing on the panda with a spoon.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: These icing tubes are fun. The last bit of icing and it's time for...
NARRATOR AND ALANA: Sprinkles!
[Nonpareils rattle]
DESCRIPTION: The brown-haired girl grabs a handful of little purple, blue, and white nonpareils and spreads them on her flower cookie.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Little ones.
DESCRIPTION: Alana picks up candy-covered chocolates and puts them on her panda cookie. The brown-haired girl puts sprinkles on her cookie. The black-haired woman, Alana’s mummy, decorates a gingerbread cookie.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Big ones. What a special treat.
ALANA’S MUMMY: Let's decorate another one.
ALANA AND THE BROWN-HAIRED GIRL: Yeah!
[Upbeat music continues]
DESCRIPTION: The brown-haired girl takes a panda face cookie, and Alana takes a star. The brown-haired girl scoops white icing out of a bowl, and Alana spreads white icing on her star.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL: It's all drippy.
DESCRIPTION: Alana squeezes orange icing out of a tube and makes dots on her star.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL: I like your star, Alana.
[Cookie taps]
DESCRIPTION: The brown-haired girl puts candy-coated chocolate on her panda face cookie. Alana takes a square cookie and squeezes yellow icing out of a tube. The brown-haired girl puts her panda-face cookie on a yellow tray beside her decorated flower cookie.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Another one done.
DESCRIPTION: A girl drops candy-coated chocolate onto a round cookie with white icing.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Last few to do.
[Dinging]
DESCRIPTION: Cookies fill the yellow tray.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: We finished!
ALANA’S MUMMY: Should we try one?
ALANA AND THE BROWN-HAIRED GIRL: Yeah!
[Crunch]
DESCRIPTION: Both girls try a flower-shaped cookie.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: Mm, these are tasty and so colourful, too.
[Girls laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Everyone eats a gingerbread cookie.
BROWN-HAIRED GIRL NARRATES: We love decorating gingerbread biscuits.
EVERYONE: Mm! Mm-mm-mm!
[Whooshing, Monty barks, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: A gingerbread panda floats over the girls and Alana’s mummy. In Gran Gran’s snow-covered backyard, Gran Gran and JoJo stand together eating gingerbread pandas. Nearby, Ned and Jared stand with Monty.
EVERYONE: Mmm.
GRAN GRAN: It was a lovely surprise having our friends join us.
DESCRIPTION: JoJo nods.
JOJO: Mm-hm. They helped make our gingerbread pandas even more delicious.
[Crunch]
DESCRIPTION: JoJo eats the left arm of her gingerbread panda.
JOJO: Mm!
DESCRIPTION: JoJo hugs Gran Gran’s left leg.
JOJO: I love you, Gran Gran.
[Gran Gran chuckles, tap]
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran picks JoJo up.
GRAN GRAN: I love you, too, JoJo.
DESCRIPTION: Gran Gran holds JoJo close, and they both smile.
