Title: "Run the Marbles."
Children shout, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!
[Upbeat music plays]
In a studio, a girl with long, dark brown hair takes stars off a table and gives them to Koralee. The girl wears a yellow T-shirt and blue jeans. Koralee, an adult with tightly braided dark brown hair, wears a green T-shirt and blue jeans. She affixes the stars to a large yellow door taller than she is.
A narrator says, HI, KORALEE! HI, ANDEE!
Koralee and the brown-haired girl, Andee, say, HI.
The narrator says, YOU'RE DECORATING A DOOR WITH NO DOORKNOB.
[Slide whistle]
Andee gives Koralee a long piece of foam. Koralee shakes the foam.
The narrator says, THAT LAST DOOR DECORATION LOOKS A BIT DIFFERENT.
Koralee says, I KNOW, BUT IT GIVES ME AN IDEA.
Andee says, ME, TOO.
[Marble rattling]
Andee gives Koralee a marble. Koralee holds the foam against the door at an angle as a track piece and releases the marble, which rolls down the slope.
The narrator says, AH, YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE A MARBLE RUN OUT OF THAT DOOR.
Andee and Koralee say, YES.
[Slide whistle, energetic music plays, squeaking]
At the table, Andee picks up a foam track piece and puts putty on each side. Koralee attaches the second foam piece at a steeper angle beneath the first piece.
Andee says, GIVE IT A TRY, KORALEE.
[Rumbling, thumping, sad music plays]
Andee gives Koralee a marble. Koralee releases the marble at the top of the first track piece. It falls to the second and bounces off.
The narrator says, A MARBLE RUN ON A DOOR IS PRETTY STEEP. LOOKS LIKE YOU MIGHT NEED SOME BUMPERS!
[Slide whistles, energetic music plays, marble rumbling, whooshing]
Andee gives Koralee a small piece of foam with tape on one side. Koralee bends the top of the bumper piece and tapes it to the top edge of the second foam track piece. Koralee releases a marble. It bumps off the bumper and rolls to the lower end of the second track piece.
The narrator says, THIS LITTLE BUMPER AT THE END OF THE TRACK WILL STOP THE MARBLE FROM FALLING OFF. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Andee and Koralee say, WE'VE GOT THIS!
[Clattering]
Marbles roll across the screen.
[Upbeat music plays, slide whistles, creaking, scissors snipping, dinging]
In the studio, Koralee and Andee stand by the table. Koralee cuts foam shapes. Andee creates bumpers and attaches them to straight foam track pieces. She attaches putty to the tracks.
The narrator says, WOW. THOSE ARE A LOT OF TRACKS WITH BUMPER ENDS.
[Chiming]
Andee and Koralee attach glittering star stickers to wavy track pieces.
The narrator says, AND YOU MADE DIFFERENT SHAPED TRACKS WITH STARS! FUN!
Andee says, IT'S GOING TO BE SO COOL.
[Slide whistle, upbeat music plays]
Andee and Koralee attach the foam track to the door.
The narrator says, LET'S GIVE IT A GO!
[Marble rattling, whooshing, thumping]
A marble rolls from a sloped track to a sloped track. It rolls off the end of a steep track instead of onto the next track.
The narrator says, ROLLING. ROLLING. UH-OH, WHAT NOW?
[Sad music plays]
Koralee says, DON'T WORRY.
Andee says, WE KNOW WHAT TO DO.
[Squeaking, marble rumbling, chiming, whooshing]
Andee changes the angle of the slope. Koralee releases a marble at the top of the marble run, which rolls from track to track. A line shows the slope of the adjusted track piece.
The narrator says, AH, A MORE GENTLE SLOPE IS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED FOR THE MARBLE TO RUN SMOOTHLY BACK AND FORTH DOWN THE DOOR. READY TO GO?
Koralee says, LET'S KEEP BUILDING.
[Clattering]
Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen.
[Upbeat music plays, dinging]
In the studio, Andee and Koralee add more track pieces to the door. The last three track pieces on the right are curved with star stickers at the top.
Andee and Koralee say, IT'S READY.
[Marble rattling, thunking, chiming, upbeat music continues]
Koralee releases a marble at the top of the marble run, and she and Andee watch it move down the marble run.
Koralee says, A FUN RUN BACK AND FORTH UNDERNEATH THE STARS.
The narrator says, WHEN THE TRACK PIECES ARE PLACED AT JUST THE RIGHT ANGLE, MARBLES CAN RUN BACK AND FORTH RIGHT DOWN A DOOR.
Andee and Koralee say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES.
[Clattering]
Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen.
[Marbles clattering, energetic music plays, rattling, clinking, hands slapping]
Koralee grabs marbles from a container and releases the handful at the top of the marble run. A couple fall off the second track, and the rest roll down. Andee releases marbles at the top of the marble run. One marble gets stuck by a star sticker, and another bounces off it and continues down the track. Andee dances. Andee and Koralee high-five.
[Children cheering]
Children shout, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!
