[Energetic music plays, marble rumbling, whooshing, marbles clattering]

A marble rolls on a curving purple track and falls onto a marble run lift, which lowers, tips, and drops it. Dozens of marbles fall on the floor. T.V.O. Kids presents.

Title: "Run the Marbles."

Children shout, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!

[Upbeat music plays, clicking]

In a studio, Koralee holds an empty blue paper towel roll with one end pointed into a cup. Ebun, a girl with tightly braided dark brown hair, puts a marble into the raised end of the roll. Ebun wears a yellow T-shirt and blue pants. Koralee has tightly braided dark brown hair and wears a green T-shirt and blue jeans. Empty cardboard paper towel rolls are piled on a yellow table beside a small bowl of gold paper fasteners.

A narrator says, HI, KORALEE. HI, EBUN.

Koralee and Ebun say, HI.

The narrator says, INTERESTING. WHAT ARE YOU TWO UP TO?

Koralee says, ACTUALLY, WE'RE TESTING THIS PAPER TOWEL ROLL.

[Marble clattering]

Ebun points the blue cardboard roll at the cup and rolls a marble inside.

Ebun says, COOL.

The narrator says, GREAT CATCH. TELL US MORE.

Koralee says, WE'RE GOING TO USE CARDBOARD TUBES TO MAKE A MARBLE RUN.

Ebun raises her arms and says, A WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM.

Koralee smiles and nods.

The narrator says, SUPER!

[Clattering, paper rustling, scissors snipping]

Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen. Koralee and Ebun cut holes in the side of the cardboard tubes. Koralee rolls blue paper around a cardboard tube.

The narrator says, AH, CUTTING A HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE TUBE WILL LET US SEE THE MARBLES WHEN THEY ROLL THROUGH.

[Whirring]

Ebun waves two blue cardboard tubes and dances. Koralee carries a chest-high black cardboard.

The narrator says, LET'S GET BUILDING.

[Slide whistle, upbeat music continues, fasteners rattling, chiming, creaking]

Koralee holds a cardboard tube, opening side up, against the black cardboard and makes a line with a pencil. Ebun removes fasteners from the small bowl, and Koralee pushes one through the tube and the black cardboard. She spreads the end of the fastener on the other side of the black cardboard, holding the tube in place. Ebun watches Koralee push another paper fastener through the cardboard.

Koralee says, TIME TO TEST IT OUT.

Ebun and Koralee kneel beside the two tubes attached to the black cardboard.

Koralee and Ebun say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!

[Rustling]

The marble rolls out of the first tube, bounces off the edge of the second tube, and falls to the floor.

The narrator says, OOPS! WHAT DO YOU THINK WENT WRONG?

Koralee says, THE TUBES DON'T LINE UP.

[Thunking, marble rattling]

The marble bounces off the edge of the second tube.

The narrator says, OH, YES. THAT'S IT. THE TUBES NEED TO LINE UP SO THE MARBLES CAN ROLL FROM ONE TO THE OTHER ALL THE WAY DOWN THE RUN.

Ebun says, LET'S FIX IT.

[Whooshing]

They move the top tube around on the black cardboard. Ebun puts a cup on the floor beneath the end of the second tube.

The narrator says, A CUP TO CATCH THE MARBLES. GREAT IDEA.

[Rumbling, clattering]

Ebun releases a marble, and it drops from the top tube into the opening on top of the second tube. The marble rolls out and falls into the cup.

Koralee says, IT WORKED!

[Dinging]

Ebun pumps her fist.

Ebun cheers, YES!

Koralee says, NOW TO ADD MORE ROLLS.

Ebun says, AND USE LOTS OF MARBLES!

[Clattering, whooshing, pencil squeaking, slide whistle]

Marbles roll across the screen. Ebun and Koralee take cardboard tubes off the table. Koralee pokes a hole through the black cardboard using a pencil. Ebun gives her a paper fastener, and Koralee pushes it into the hole in a cardboard tube. Ebun kneels behind the black cardboard and looks at the paper fasteners. Blue, orange, and red cardboard tubes are tilted on the surface of the black cardboard.

The narrator says, THOSE PAPER TOWEL ROLLS ARE LINING UP NICELY.

Koralee says, I HAVE AN IDEA.

[Creaking, squeaking, clicking]

Ebun opens a toy chest and takes out two cardboard tubes joined at one end in a V-shape. She and Koralee position the V-shape upside down with the single opening beneath the last cardboard tube on the black cardboard. They place a blue cup beneath one tube and a red cup beneath the other.

The narrator says, LOOK WHAT YOU FOUND! ADDING THAT SPECIAL TUBE WILL BE FUN. NOW, WE WON'T KNOW WHICH CUP THE MARBLES WILL FALL INTO.

Ebun sings, BUT WE CAN GUESS!

[Whirring]

An arrow points to the red cup, and a second arrow points to the blue cup.

The narrator asks, THE RED ONE OR THE BLUE ONE? LET'S SEE WHICH CUP THE MARBLES LAND IN.

Koralee asks, ARE YOU READY?

Ebun says, READY.

Ebun and Koralee say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!

[Marbles clattering, upbeat music continues, thumping]

At the top of the marble run, Ebun and Koralee release their marbles into different tubes that both lead into the same blue tube below. A marble falls in each cup.

Ebun says, MINE LANDED IN THE RED CUP.

[Whirring]

An arrow points to the red cup.

Koralee says, MINE LANDED IN THE BLUE CUP.

[Whirring, clattering]

An arrow points to the blue cup. Marbles land in the two cups.

The narrator says, IT'S SO MUCH FUN GUESSING WHERE THEY LAND. WHICH CUP DO YOU THINK WILL CATCH THE MOST MARBLES?

Ebun says, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.

Koralee and Ebun say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!

[Clattering, clunking, children cheering, hands slapping]

Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen. Ebun and Koralee drop handfuls of marbles into the tubes. The marbles roll down the marble run and most land in the cups on the floor. Some marbles land between the cups and bounce away. As the cups fill, Ebun and Koralee high-five each other. The blue cup overflows.

Title: “Run the Marbles.”

[Marbles clattering]

Dozens of marbles fall on the floor.

Children shout, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!

[Energetic music plays, exploding]
