[Energetic music plays, marble rumbling, whooshing, marbles clattering]
A marble rolls on a curving purple track and falls onto a marble run lift, which lowers, tips, and drops it. Dozens of marbles fall on the floor. T.V.O. Kids presents.

Children shout, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!
[Upbeat music plays, marble scraping]
In a studio, Koralee and Andee hold a long metal track between them. Koralee lowers her end, and Andee rolls a marble down. Koralee, an adult with tightly braided dark brown hair, wears a green T-shirt and blue jeans. Andee has long, straight, dark brown hair and wears a yellow T-shirt and blue jeans.
A narrator says, HI, KORALEE. HI, ANDEE. WHAT DO YOU HAVE THERE?
Koralee says, WE FOUND THIS PIECE OF METAL TRACK.
[Marble scraping]
Koralee lifts the end of the track and releases a marble.
The narrator says, METAL TRACK.
Andee says, CHECK IT OUT.
[Marble scraping]
Andee rolls the marble to Koralee, who lifts her end and rolls it back.
The narrator says, OKAY. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO?
Andee says, I'VE GOT AN IDEA. LET'S MAKE A MARBLE RUN WITH THIS.
Koralee nods.
[Clattering, upbeat music continues, thumping]
Marbles roll across the screen. Koralee and Andee lean two long metal track pieces against blocks. Koralee puts two blocks beneath her track, and Andee puts one under hers.
The narrator says, OH, FUN! HMM. LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE SETTING UP FOR A RACE.
Koralee says, LET'S SEE WHICH MARBLE GETS TO THE BOTTOM FIRST. THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT FINISH LINE.
Koralee and Andee put a strip of blue tape on the floor by the end of the track.
The narrator says, GOOD IDEA.
Andee says, OKAY. READY? HERE WE GO.
Andee and Koralee say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!
[Marbles clanking, dinging]
Koralee and Andee release their marbles, and each time, Koralee’s marble wins the race.
Koralee says, THE HIGHER ONE WENT FASTER.
[Dinging]
Arrows point to Koralee’s steeper track.
The narrator says, THAT'S RIGHT. THE STEEPER THE SLOPE, THE FASTER IT GOES.
Andee asks, DOES IT ALWAYS GO FASTER? LET'S TRY AGAIN.
Koralee nods.
[Marbles scraping, zooming]
Koralee and Andee release their marbles, and each time, Koralee’s marble wins the race.
The narrator says, IT SURE DOES GO FASTER.
Andee says, COOL!
[Clattering]
Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen. Koralee and Andee position the tops of their tracks on the third step of a stepladder.
The narrator says, OKAY. NOW, THE TRACKS ARE AT THE SAME HEIGHT. LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
[Bell dinging]
Koralee holds a ruler.
The narrator asks, WHAT'S THE RULER FOR?
Koralee says, THE RULER IS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MARBLES START AT THE SAME TIME.
Koralee and Andee hold the ruler across the tracks and put their marbles at the top.
The narrator says, GREAT IDEA!
[Whooshing, marbles rattling]
Koralee lets go, and Andee lifts the ruler, releasing the marbles. They roll onto the floor simultaneously.
The narrator says, AT THE SAME HEIGHT, THE MARBLES MOVE AT THE SAME SPEED. WHAT'S NEXT?
Andee says, MORE TRACKS.
Koralee says, YES.
[Whirring, upbeat music continues]
Andee picks up more long metal track pieces.
The narrator says, WHOA. THAT IS A LOT MORE TRACKS, AND AT DIFFERENT HEIGHTS.
[Chiming]
Arrows point to four metal track pieces, each starting on a different step on the ladder. Andee and Koralee add a track to the bottom of each tilted track.
Andee says, OH, I HAVE THE PERFECT THING.
The narrator says, HMM. WHAT ARE YOU GETTING?
[Whooshing, chimes tinkling]
Andee opens a toy box and takes out a finish line bar with dangling black and white checkered strips of cloth. Koralee takes out a bar with dangling colourful chimes.
The narrator says, OH, SOME TINKLING CHIMES AND A FINISH LINE FOR THE MARBLE RUN. GREAT IDEA!
Koralee says, NOW, WE CAN RING IN THE WINNER.
Andee says, IT'S CHIME TIME.
[Clattering]
Marbles fall in a pile and cover the screen.
The narrator says, READY. SET.
Koralee and Andee say, LET'S RUN THE MARBLES!
The narrator says, GO!
[Marbles clattering, chimes tinkling]
Koralee releases a marble on the steepest track, and Andee releases her marble on the track below. Both marbles roll through the chimes, with Koralee’s marble slightly ahead.
Andee says, WHOA!
The narrator says, YOU'RE BOTH WINNERS.
[Marbles scraping, chimes tinkling, upbeat music continues]
Andee and Koralee release marbles on the four tracks. An arrow points down the slope of the steepest track.
The narrator says, WHAT AN AMAZING RACETRACK. REMEMBER, THE STEEPER THE SLOPE, THE FASTER IT GOES.
[Chimes tinkling, scraping, marbles rattling, Andee laughing, children cheering]
Marbles roll down the track. Andee jumps over the track on the floor and picks up marbles. She crouches beneath the ladder and looks at the track. Multiple marbles roll down the track, and Andee and Koralee release more. The marbles knock the chimes into the air as they pass beneath.
