Descriptive Transcript

[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, wings flap rapidly, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In a meadow, Ladybird and Bee fly close to the ground past wildflowers.

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wave.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Solemn music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on the ground by a pile of stones, leaves, and twigs.

BEE: Buzz?

NARRATOR: There are lots of things on the ground today.

BEE: Buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee nod.

NARRATOR: How are Ladybird and Bee going to get past the things?

[Ladybird gasps]

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz?

[Wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly to the top of the pile and land on it.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo, lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Ladybird and Bee can go over the things!

[Ladybird and Bee exclaim]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on the other side of the pile and jump excitedly.

[Worm gasps, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Worm arrives at the pile and stops. They scratch their chin with the tip of their tail.

NARRATOR: How will Worm go through?

[Dirt rustles, worm grunts]

DESCRIPTION: Worm tunnels beneath the pile.

BEE: Buzz?

[Ladybird and Bee gasp, dirt rustles]

DESCRIPTION: Worm surfaces in front of Ladybird and Bee, and shakes off the dirt.

NARRATOR: Worm went under it!

[Ladybird and Bee cheer, Worm laughs, Beetle grunts, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Beetle arrives on the other side of the pile.

NARRATOR: How will Beetle get past the things?

[Beetle grunts, leaves rustle, Ladybird and Bee gasp, Ladybird and Bee exclaim]

[Narrator gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Beetle pushes through the pile and smiles at Ladybird, Bee, and Worm.

NARRATOR: Beetle went through it!

DESCRIPTION: Beetle nods and dances.

BEETLE: Hee hee!

[Ladybird and Bee giggle]

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Soft music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ant arrives on the other side of the pile and stops.

ANT: Hmm...

NARRATOR: Will Ant go over, under, or through?


ANT: Ah!

[Ladybird, Bee, Worm, and Beetle gasp, all sigh dejectedly, Ladybird and Bee exclaim, ants grunt happily, cheerful music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The ant smiles and walks away. Ant returns with more ants, and they carry away a twig and leaves.

NARRATOR: The ants didn't go over, under, or through! The ants are tidying up.

[Ants grunt]

BEE: Buzz buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: More ants arrive and carry away leaves and twigs.

NARRATOR: Thank you, ants!

BEE: Buzz buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh]

BEE: Buzz buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Ladybird and Bee giggle, the music stops, birds chirp, buzzing, wings flap]
