[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Relaxing music continues, wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: In a meadow, Bee lands on a red flower with pollen scattered on the petals. Ladybird hovers in the air behind him.

BEE: Buzz, buzz, buzz.

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird. Hello, Bee.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wave.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Soft thump]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on a yellow flower.

NARRATOR: Bee is very busy today.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo. Loo?

[Bee gasps, chime, satchel rustles]

DESCRIPTION: Bee picks up a chunk of nectar and puts it in his satchel.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

NARRATOR: Are you excited, Bee?

DESCRIPTION: Bee nods.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilli—

BEE: Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Loo?

DESCRIPTION: Bee leaves the flower and hovers in the air over Ladybird.

BEE: Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz!

[The music stops, buzzing]

NARRATOR: There's something he wants us to see, Ladybird.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Bee leads Ladybird to the hive. They enter as other bees leave.

BEE: Buzz, buzz, buzz.

[Bees buzz, soft thumps, door creaks, Ladybird gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly past two long lines of bees dropping nectar into a flower. Bee slides doors open and reveals the Queen Bee on a throne with baby bees napping beside her in small nests.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Ooh.

[Bees buzz, Queen Bee chuckles, sniffs the flower

DESCRIPTION: Bees fly around the throne room. A bee brings the Queen Bee a small flower.

QUEEN BEE: Mmm, mm-mm-mm.

[Rustle, buzzing, wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Bee offers the nectar to the Queen Bee. She takes it and puts it on the arm of her throne.

BEE: Buzz.

QUEEN BEE: Aw! Buzz, buzz. Shh.

DESCRIPTION: Queen Bee points at the baby bees.

LADYBIRD: Loo?

[Ladybird gasps, soft music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly to the sleeping baby bees.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Baby bees!

[Babies snore]

BEE WHISPERS: Buzz.

LADYBIRD WHISPERS: Lilliloo.

DESCRIPTION: A bee brings Queen Bee honey with a small purple flower on top.

QUEEN BEE: Ooh.

[Buzzing]

NARRATOR: Bee, this is amazing! All the bees are looking after queen mama bee...

DESCRIPTION: Queen Bee picks up the nectar and eats it.

QUEEN BEE: Num, num, num, num, num!

NARRATOR:...Who's looking after her new baby bees.

[Baby bee babbles softly, Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land beside a baby bee, who opens their eyes and smiles.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird waves to the baby.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Baby bee yawns, Ladybird and Bee laugh, gentle music continues, birds chirp, buzzing, wings flap]

DESCRIPTION: The baby bee falls asleep.
