[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Relaxing music continues]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee perch on a tree branch, looking at a swaying apple hanging beneath them.

LADYBIRD: Loo?

BEE: Buzz?

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly up, and then land again.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Ooh, the apple looks like it's going to fall.

[Creak, wind gusts, snap, splash]

DESCRIPTION: The apple falls from the tree.

[Ladybird and Bee gasp]

Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

NARRATOR: The apple fell! Where did it go?

[Upbeat music plays, wings flap rapidly, birds sing, Ladybird and Bee laugh]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly down and find the apple in a stream.

NARRATOR: It's an apple float.

LADYBIRD: Loo.

BEE: Buzz.

[Rustle]

DESCRIPTION: Bee nudges Ladybird and flies to a nearby leaf on the ground.

LADYBIRD: Loo? Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee carry the leaf to the water.

BEE: Buzz, buzz.

[Leaf splashes]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee drop the leaf, and it floats on the water.

NARRATOR: It's a leaf float, too!

[Wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly in circles over the leaf.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo! Lilliloo?

[Ladybird pants, quiet splash, gentle music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird picks up a feather and drops it on the water.

NARRATOR: Feather float!

[Buzzing]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee hold hands and spin above the leaf.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Bee points.

BEE: Buzz, buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Ladybird and Bee grunt, splash]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee pick up a pebble and drop it into the water.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilli?

[Muffled thud, descending musical notes play]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee stick their faces under the water and watch the pebble sink to the bottom.

NARRATOR: Pebbles don't want to float.

[Rustle, cheerful music notes play]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee shake off the water.

BEE: Buzz, buzz.

[Wind gusts, Ladybird and Bee gasp, the music stops]

DESCRIPTION: The wind blows the apple, feather, and leaf into a row beside Ladybird and Bee.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Light music plays]

NARRATOR: Apple float. Leaf float. Feather float. It's a float race!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on a log over the water and watch the leaf, apple, and feather float towards them.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Which one is going to win?

BEE: Buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Lively music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee watch the apple, leaf, and feather approach.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo, lilliloo!

[Bee gasps]

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: The apple floats under the log first, followed by the leaf, then the feather.
