Descriptive Transcript

[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In the shade below wildflowers, Bee and Ladybird look at a slimy, glittering trail on the ground.

BEE: Buzz, buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo?

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird waves, and Bee hovers in the air.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Both exclaim]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee look at the slime trail.

BEE: Buzz.

NARRATOR: I wonder what that shiny glitter is.

BEE: Buzz?

DESCRIPTION: Bee points up, and Ladybird nods.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Both exclaim, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly over the flowers and look down at the long, winding trail.

LADYBIRD: Loo.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird lands beside the trail and pokes it with her leg.

LADYBIRD: Lilli?

[Ladybird gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird loses her balance and pulls back from the slime.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Slidey.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird nods.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo?

[Slime sloshes, Ladybird sighs]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird plays with the slime.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Ladybird laughs]

DESCRIPTION: Bee lands across from Ladybird, on the other side of the slime trail.

BEE: Buzz?

DESCRIPTION: Bee steps on the slime and slides.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Bee knocks Ladybird onto the slime trail, and she slides on her back in front of Bee.

LADYBIRD: Lillilooooo!

[Descending music notes play, Bee gasps]

BEE: Buzz?

[Bee gasps]

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Bee slides down the slime trail behind Ladybird.

NARRATOR: Wow, that's a shiny, slidey thing!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, Bee cheers]

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Bee cheers]

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Ladybird and Bee giggle, snail muches, Ladybird gasps, snail exclaims, snail hums, Ladybird and Bee giggle]

DESCRIPTION: At the end of the slime trail, a snail chews. Ladybird, then Bee, bounce off the snail’s back and land on a nearby leaf.

NARRATOR: Woohoo! That's so fun!

DESCRIPTION: Bee nods.

NARRATOR: The snail made the shiny, slimy trail.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird nods.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Bee nods.

BEE: Buzz, buzz.

[Snail hums, upbeat music plays]

NARRATOR: Again!

[Snail exclaims, Ladybird and Bee exclaim and laugh, snail munches, snail smacks their lips]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly away from the snail, back up the slime trail. The snail bites the leaf.

[Birds chirp, wings flap rapidly]
