Descriptive Transcript

[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Relaxing music continues]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee relax on a sunflower in a meadow.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Both sigh]

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird. Hello—

[Ladybird and Bee gasp, both exclaim, grasshopper whistles]

DESCRIPTION: A grasshopper jumps on the sunflower, knocks off the seeds, and then jumps away. Ladybird and Bee bounce.

NARRATOR: Bee?

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Loo?

NARRATOR: The grasshopper shook all the seeds off the flower.

[Wings flap]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee look over the edge of the sunflower.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Wings flap, seed exclaims]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly to a seed on the ground. The seed rolls across the dirt.

LADYBIRD: Lillilooo.

BEE: Buzz.

[Seed pants, dirt rustles, worm sighs, seed grunts]

DESCRIPTION: The seed pauses near a worm digging a hole in the dirt. The seed rolls up to the edge of the hole, and the worm waves its tail.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz.

[Seed sighs, grunts, rustle, sighs, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The worm dives into its hole, with three tunnels. At first, the seed wobbles at the edge of the hole, then falls backward onto the dirt. They try to roll over onto their side and fall down again.

NARRATOR: Do you want to go in the tunnels, little seed?

SEED: Uh huh.

DESCRIPTION: The seed nods.

NARRATOR: Maybe Ladybird and Bee can help.

[Ladybird and Bee gasp]

BEE: Buzz buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird pushes the seed, and Bee pushes Ladybird. The seed falls back on the ground.

BEE: Buzz buzz...

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Grunt]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee push the seed.

BEE: Buzz buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Ladybird and Bee gasp, seed cheers, grunts, light music plays, wings flap]

DESCRIPTION: The seed falls into the hole, and Ladybird and Bee look at each other. At the bottom of the hole, the seed lands on a pile of dirt. Bee and Ladybird fly into the hole.

BEE: Buzz buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Wings flap]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land beside the seed.

[Gentle music plays]

NARRATOR: Are you okay, little seed?

DESCRIPTION: The seed nods.

SEED: Mhm.

[Seed yawns]

NARRATOR: Little seed has found a cozy place.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

BEE: Buzz!

[Seed sighs]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird nods.

NARRATOR: Awh. She is cozy and she will grow here in the ground.

[Seed exclaims]

DESCRIPTION: A small green root grows out of the seed into the dirt.

NARRATOR: Little seed needs quiet time to grow.

[Seed sighs, murmurs, Ladybird and Bee yawn]

DESCRIPTION: The seed shuts its eyes.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Narrator, Ladybird, and Bee giggle]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee lie down on each side of the seed.

BEE: Buzz buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

NARRATOR: Maybe we all do.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee nod.

BEE: Buzz buzz

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Gentle music continues, birds sing, wings flap]
