[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Mud splashes, Ladybird and Bee laugh, playful music plays]

DESCRIPTION: In the meadow, Ladybird and Bee jump in mud.

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

BEE: Buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wave.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Mud splashes]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee jump in the mud.

NARRATOR: Are you playing in the mud, Ladybird and Bee?

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Mud splashes]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee jump in the mud, leaving tiny footprints behind them.

LADYBIRD: Loo, loo...

BEE: Buzz, buzz...

LADYBIRD:...Loo!

BEE:...Buzz!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, buzzing, wings flap rapidly, both gasp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly above the mud and look down.

NARRATOR: Oh, wow! Ladybird and Bee's feet have made footprints in the mud.

BEE: Buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Millipede chitters, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee watch Millipede skitter across the mud.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly closer to the mud and look at Millipede’s footprints.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: Millipede has lots of feet, so he has left lots of footprints.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Mud splashes, Ladybird gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Frog hops through the mud, leaving footprints beside Millipede’s tracks. Frog waves and hops away.

FROG: Ribbit. Ribbit, ribbit. Ribbit.

NARRATOR: Frog has left hoppy footprints in the mud.

BEE: Buzz, buzz.

[Slime squelches, Ladybird gasps, upbeat music continues]

DESCRIPTION: Snail slides through the mud.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: What footprints will Snail make?

BEE: Buzz, buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo?

NARRATOR: Snail has left a long footprint.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly closer to the mud and hover above the line left by Snail. They dance in the air over the mud.

NARRATOR: Ladybird and Bee left little footprints, Millipede left lots of little footprints, Frog left hoppy footprints, and Snail left one long footprint.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly in circles above the mud.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, mud splashes]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee jump in the mud, leaving more footprints.

NARRATOR: Making muddy footprints is muddy fun.
