[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Soothing music continues, they laugh]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly over the wildflowers growing in a meadow beneath the bright sun.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

BEE: Buzz-buzz. Buzz-buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo!

[Ladybird and Bee pant]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee hover in the air, sweating.

NARRATOR: Ladybird and Bee, hello!

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wave.

BEE: Buzz-buzz!

NARRATOR: The sun is very bright today.

[Ladybird and Bee sigh]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wipe sweat off their brows.

BEE: Buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

NARRATOR: Let's find a shady place.

[Ladybird and Bee sigh, buzzing, upbeat music plays, Ladybird and Bee pant, both sigh, bird chirps, Bee gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly down and land on a leaf close to the ground. A cool breeze blows, and Bee points behind Ladybird.

BEE: Buzz-buzz!

[Ladybird gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee look at the shadows on the ground.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo!

BEE: Buzz.

LADYBIRD: Loo.

[The music stops]

NARRATOR: Look at those big, dark shapes.

[Ladybird and Bee sigh happily, soft music notes play]

DESCRIPTION: A breeze blows, and Ladybird and Bee smile.

BEE: Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Loo!

[Narrator shrieks, tense music plays]

NARRATOR: Those big, dark shapes are... moving!

[Bee gasps]

BEE: Buzz.

LADYBIRD: Loo.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee peer over the edge of the leaf at the gently swaying shadows of the nearby grass.

NARRATOR: See?

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee nod.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

BEE: Buzz.

[Wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee take off from the leaf and cast shadows on the ground.

BEE: Buzz-buzz! Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

[Wings flap rapidly]

NARRATOR: Those dark shapes look a lot like your shapes, Ladybird and Bee.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Loo?

[Upbeat music plays, Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee move their arms and look down at their shadows.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

BEE: Buzz-buzz.

NARRATOR: They are your shapes, Ladybird and Bee! They are doing what you are doing.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee hold hands.

BEE: Buzz-buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo!

[Both laugh]

BEE: Buzz-buzz.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

[Breeze blows gently, grass rustles, Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: The grass and leaves sway in the breeze. Ladybird and Bee land on the leaf.

NARRATOR: The dark, spiky shapes are the leaf's shapes!

[Upbeat music plays]

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo!

BEE: Buzz!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee look up at the sun, then down at the shadows on the ground.

NARRATOR: The sun is making the shady shapes. Look! You try!

[Wings flap rapidly, Narrator giggles]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly and look down at their shadows.

NARRATOR: Shady shapes.

LADYBIRD: Lily-loo.

[Ladybird and Bee laugh, the music stops, birds chirp, buzzing, wings flap]
