[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Relaxing music continues]

DESCRIPTION: In the meadow, Bee and Ladybird stand on the ground. Ladybird scratches her head.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Loo?

[Upbeat music plays]

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee wave.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Distant sighs, birds chirp]

NARRATOR: What are those sighs?

[Sighs, Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: Three seed babies lie underground near Ladybird and Bee.

NARRATOR: It's the seed babies!

[Dirt rustles]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee dig down and look at the shivering seed babies.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[The music stops]

NARRATOR: The seed babies need some warm sun.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee nod.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Seed babies whimper]

NARRATOR: Where is the sun?

[Dirt rustles, light music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee pull their heads out of the hole and fly up to the shade beneath the leaves on the wildflowers.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Lilli?

[Wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly above the wildflowers and into the sunny sky above the meadow.

BEE: Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Wings flap rapidly]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on the ground above the seed babies.

NARRATOR: We know who can help the sun get through the leaves, don't we?

[Ladybird and Bee gasp]

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo-o-o-o!

[Snails speak gibberish, laugh]

DESCRIPTION: A snail arrives, carrying three baby snails on their shell. The baby snails slide down to the ground, and Ladybird points at the leaves. The snails slide away.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Snails munch, Ladybird and Bee gasp]

DESCRIPTION: A sunbeam shines on Bee’s face.

BEE: Buzz?

LADYBIRD: Loo?

[Munching, gentle music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The baby snails chew holes in the leaves.

NARRATOR: The sun is getting through the holes in the leaves!

BEE: Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Munching, raindrops splat]

DESCRIPTION: Sunlight shines on the baby seeds as raindrops fall.

NARRATOR: Look! They are much happier now.

[Creaking, raindrops splat]

DESCRIPTION: The baby seeds grow through the hole in the ground and smile.

BEE: Buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

NARRATOR: The seed babies can grow because they have sunshine and rain.

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

[Raindrops splat]

NARRATOR: Nice work, snail babies! Nice work, Ladybird and Bee.

[Ladybird and Bee exclaim, both giggle, the music stops, birds chirp, wings flap]
