Descriptive Transcript

[Gentle music plays, Ladybird and Bee giggle, Bee buzzes, birds chirp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird, a red and black ladybug, and Bee, a yellow and black bee, rest on a branch. The title, on a falling green leaf, reads, “Ladybird and Bee.”

NARRATOR: It's Ladybird and Bee.

[Upbeat music plays, Ladybird and Bee exclaim, both giggle]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly over wildflowers in a meadow.

NARRATOR: Hello, Ladybird and Bee.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly in circles and land on flowers.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz!

[Both exclaim, both laugh, both pant, crunching, upbeat music notes play]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee look around.
LADYBIRD: Lilli?

BEE: Buzz?

[Munching]

NARRATOR: Sounds like munching.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz!

NARRATOR: It's coming from the ground.

[Munching]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee fly to the ground, where three worms eat leaves.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo!

BEE: Buzz, buzz!

[Worms moan, Narrator gasps, serious music plays]

DESCRIPTION: The three worms lie on the leaves with downturned mouths.

NARRATOR: What's the matter, worms?

BEE: Buzz?

NARRATOR: I don't think the worms are feeling too good.

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee land on the ground.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

BEE: Buzz, buzz.

NARRATOR: I think they've eaten too much.

[Ladybird gasps]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird flies, and Bee follows her.

BEE: Buzz?

[Rustle, worms moan]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee each pick up a water drop.

LADYBIRD: Lilliloo.

[Slurp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird offers a worm the water drop, and they drink it and smile.

WORM: Ah.

BEE: Buzz.

[Slurp]

DESCRIPTION: Bee offers a second worm water, and they drink it and smile.

SECOND WORM: Ah.

LADYBIRD: Loo.

[Slurp]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird gives the third worm a water drop, and they drink it and smile.

WORM: Ah.

NARRATOR: Stretching is really good if you have a sore tummy. Come on, worms, let's do some stretches!

[Worms grunt, the three worms burp. Narrator giggles]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee stretch with the worms.

NARRATOR: And that really helps when you have a sore tummy, too.

[Worms burp, Ladybird and Bee laugh, worms sigh, Ladybird and Bee gasp, worms sigh, munching, upbeat music plays]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee glance at each other and stop stretching. The worms lie on the ground and close their eyes. A sunbeam shines on them, and they sit up. The worms eat the leaves.

NARRATOR: Worms do a great job of eating up all the leaves and things on the ground, but you have to mind your tummies, too, worms.

[Worms burp and hum, Ladybird and Bee laugh]

DESCRIPTION: Ladybird and Bee watch the worms.

[Ladybird and Bee giggle, the music stops, birds chirp, wings flap]
