In front of Grampy Hodie’s cabin, Donkey jumps onto a drum and bounces off. Grampy Hodie watches her bounce up in front of Duck Duck in the sky.

Duck Duck, a green duck, quacks, KEE-KEE! QUACK!

[Boinging]
In Bob Dog’s front yard, Donkey and Bob Dog, a brown dog, ride on top of bouncing balls.
The person sings, PLAYS WITH BOB DOG, THEY HAVE A BALL. IT'S FUN FOR THEM, IT'S FUN FOR ALL.
Donkey bounces off her ball and lands in front of Purple Panda’s spaceship.
[Boinging, slide whistle]

In outer space, Donkey and Purple Panda ride in the spaceship.

On a sunny day, Panda and Donkey sit beside a portable music player on a boardwalk. Their feet dangle over the sand below. Panda and Donkey both wear headbands and wristbands.
Donkey says, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR OUR SEASIDE WORKOUT, HUH, PANDA?
Panda says, YEAH, IT SURE IS, DONKEY.
[Both laughing]
Panda says, AS BEAUTIFUL AS THIS SONG.
Donkey says, HEE-HAW! IT'S ROCK STAR PENGUIN'S NEW SONG THE BIRDIE ROCK HOP.
Rock Star Penguin sings, SLIDE, SLIDE, WADDLE, WADDLE ♪
Panda says, HEY-O!
[Slide whistle, boinging]
Panda and Donkey jump onto the sand. Panda stretches.
Panda says, AH, OKAY, LET'S GET THIS SEASIDE WORKOUT STARTED.
Donkey says, YEAH! LET'S START WITH A HOP.
Panda says, OKAY.
[Laughing, boinging]
They hop in place.
Panda says, THIS IS FUN.

[Giggling, gull squawking]

They both peck the air in front of them.
Donkey says, PECK. PECK.

[Panda laughing]

On a stage, two birds sing, CHIRP, CHIRPY, CHIRPY, CHIRP. TWEET, TWEET, TWEETY-TWEETY-TWEET.
[Slide whistle]
On the beach, Rock Star Penguin says, I'LL BE PERFORMING MY NEW SONG, THE BIRDIE ROCK HOP.
[Donkey and Panda gasping]
Donkey and Panda say, WE LOVE THAT SONG.
Rock Star Penguin says, I KNOW. I SAW THOSE ROCKIN' DANCE MOVES YOU MADE UP.
Panda says, DANCE MOVES? BUT WE WERE JUST DOING OUR SEASIDE WORKOUT.
Donkey says, HM, I GUESS IT DID KINDA LOOK LIKE DANCE MOVES.
[Giggling]
Rock Star Penguin asks, HOW WOULD YOU TWO LIKE TO MAKE UP SOME MOVES FOR MY BACKGROUND DANCERS?
The backup dancer penguins say, SQUIBBIT, SQUIBBIT, SQUIBBIT.

Panda says, MM.
[Clicking, rock music plays, Panda giggling]
Panda pushes a button on the portable music player and walks to Donkey and the penguin dancers.
Donkey says, ALL RIGHT, DANCERS, HERE WE GO.
Panda says, OKAY, WATCH CLOSELY. MM.
[Inhaling deeply, wobbling]
Donkey flaps her arms, and Panda waddles.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP.
Panda says, WADDLE, WADDLE.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP.
Panda says, WADDLE, WADDLE.
The penguin dancers say, HUH?
Donkey and Panda ask, GOT IT?
[The penguin dancers chattering, boinging]
One penguin wobbles, one flaps, and the last tilts their head and stands still.
Panda says, UM.
Donkey says, HM. UM...
[Panda and Donkey laughing, gull squawking]
Donkey says, OKAY, TEACHING MOVES AT THE SAME TIME PROBABLY ISN'T THE BEST IDEA. LET'S TRY THIS. EVERY BIRDIE, FLAP. FLAP, FLAP.
[Upbeat music plays]
The penguin dancers flap their wings.
Donkey says, GREAT. NOW, EVERY BIRDIE RUFFLE THOSE FEATHERS AND SHAKE.
[Wobbling]
Donkey and the penguin dancers shake.
Panda says, OH, HEY, DONKEY. I JUST HAD AN IDEA FOR THE SECOND VERSE. WE CAN BOTH COME TOGE—
Donkey says, OH, YEAH, THE SECOND VERSE.
Panda continues, THER.
[Slide whistles]
Donkey slides left and right.
Donkey says, THAT'S WHEN WE SLIDE TO LEFT. SLIDE TO THE RIGHT.

Donkey and the penguin dancers slide left and right.
Donkey says, AND NOW, FOR THE GRAND FINALE!
Panda says, OH, DONKEY! YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THE GRAND FINALE? IF WE--
Donkey says, I SURE DO. EVERY BIRDIE, PECK.
[Boinging, upbeat music plays]
Donkey and the penguin dancers peck.

Panda says, THAT'S NOT WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY AT ALL.

[Panda sighing loudly, boinging]
Panda says, THIS IS FRUSTRATING! I'M GONNA GO AND PLAY SOMETHING ELSE FOR A WHILE.
Panda walks away, and Rock Star Penguin arrives.
Rock Star Penguin says, HEY! HOW'S THE DANCE COMING ALONG?
Donkey says, OH, GREAT. WE JUST FINISHED. HEAR THIS. A FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT.
[Upbeat music notes play, wobbling, slide whistles, boinging, light music plays]
The penguin dancers flap their wings, shake, slide to the side, and peck.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, SHAKE, SHAKE, SLIDE, SLIDE, PECK. SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Rock Star Penguin says, WELL, UH, THERE... THERE'S NICE MOVES.
[Gull squawking]
Donkey says, MM-HM.
Rock Star Penguin says, THERE'S JUST I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING'S MISSING.
Donkey says, UH...
[Rock Star Penguin gasping, wobbling, light music plays]
Rock Star Penguin says, HEY! WHAT ABOUT THAT WADDLE MOVE YOU DID EARLIER? OOH, NOW THAT WAS REALLY ROCKIN'!
Donkey says, WADDLE? OH! THAT WAS PANDA'S MOVE.
Rock Star Penguin says, AH!
Donkey says, RIGHT, PANDA? PANDA?
Rock Star Penguin asks, WHERE'S PURPLE PANDA?
[Gull squawking, upbeat music plays]
Donkey says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT I'LL FIND HIM. AND TOGETHER, WE'LL COME UP WITH A NEW DANCE FOR YOUR PERFORMANCE.
Rock Star Penguin says, ROCKIN'. YOU STILL HAVE SOME TIME.
[Slide whistle]
On the stage, Duck Duck says, HEY, HEY! THIS NEXT SONG GOES OUT TO MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BAND. QUACK JAM.
[Lively keyboard music plays]
Duck Duck plays her keyboard.
Duck Duck says, YEAH!
[Panda sighing, soft music plays]
Elsewhere on the beach, Panda makes a sand creature with seashell eyes.
Panda says, AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE, SAND SNURDLE? ROCK STAR PENGUIN ASKED BOTH DONKEY AND ME TO MAKE A DANCE FOR HER, BUT THEN DONKEY ENDED UP DOING IT ALL BY HERSELF.
[Sighing]
Panda says, SO FRUSTRATING.
[Footsteps rustling]
Donkey says, OH! THERE YOU ARE, PANDA. WHAT ARE YOU DOIN'?
[Sand rustling, gull squawking, sad music plays]
Panda pats the side of his sand creature, the sand snurdle.
Panda says, HEY, DONKEY. I'M JUST MAKING' A SAD SAND SNURDLE.
Donkey says, OH. WELL, WHY IS IT SAD?
Panda says, WELL, HE'S SAD BECAUSE I'M SAD.
[Breathing deeply]
Panda says, ALL OF THE MOVES WERE YOURS, DONKEY. I DIDN'T GET TO SHARE ANY OF MY IDEAS. AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE UP THAT DANCE TOGETHER.
[Sighing]
Panda says, IT MADE ME SO FRUSTRATED.
[Slide whistle, boinging]
In a flashback, Donkey remembers the penguin dancers sliding to the left. She imagines Panda teaching the penguin dancers the peck.
Donkey says, YOU'RE RIGHT. THEY WERE ALL MY MOVES. AND I KNOW I'D FEEL SAD AND FRUSTRATED IF WE ONLY USED YOUR IDEAS AND NOT MINE.
[Beeping, waves sloshing, gull squawking]
The daydream ends.
Donkey says, I'M SORRY, PANDA. THAT WASN'T FAIR. AND THE DANCE WASN'T THE SAME WITHOUT YOUR MOVES. DO YOU THINK WE COULD START OVER?
Panda says, WELL...
[Inhaling deeply]
Panda nods and says, YEAH, YEAH, DONKEY.
[Giggling]
Panda says, YOU KNOW, MAKING THIS SAND SNURDLE AND TELLING YOU HOW I'M FEELING ACTUALLY MAKES ME FEEL A LOT BETTER, DONKEY.
Donkey says, OH, I'M SO GLAD, PANDA, PAL. NOW, LET'S MAKE UP A NEW DANCE, AND THIS TIME WE'LL USE BOTH OUR IDEAS.
Donkey and Panda watch three yodel birds fly overhead.
The yodel birds sing, A LITTLE OLD LADY-HOO A LITTLE OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY-HOO.
An announcer says, AND NOW, LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE YODEL BIRDS.
[Audience cheering]
Donkey says, YODEL BIRDS?!
Panda says, OH, THAT MEANS THAT ROCK STAR PENGUIN IS UP NEXT, AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE A DANCE, DONKEY.
Donkey says, OH, WE CAN DO THIS, PANDA. THINK, DONKEY HODIE. THINK. WHAT'S A FAIR WAY TO INCLUDE BOTH OUR DANCE MOVES?
Panda says, WHAT ABOUT OUR SEASIDE WORKOUT?

On the stage, Rock Star Penguin holds an electric guitar. The penguin dancers stand in a row to her left. Panda and Donkey watch as the audience gathers in front of the stage.
Someone cheers, WOO-HOO!

They hop in place.
Panda says, THIS IS FUN.

They both peck the air in front of them.

On a stage, two birds sing, CHIRP, CHIRPY, CHIRPY, CHIRP. TWEET, TWEET, TWEETY-TWEETY-TWEET.
[Slide whistle]
On the beach, Rock Star Penguin says, I'LL BE PERFORMING MY NEW SONG, THE BIRDIE ROCK HOP.
[Donkey and Panda gasping]
Donkey and Panda say, WE LOVE THAT SONG.
Rock Star Penguin says, I KNOW. I SAW THOSE ROCKIN' DANCE MOVES YOU MADE UP.
Panda says, DANCE MOVES? BUT WE WERE JUST DOING OUR SEASIDE WORKOUT.
Donkey says, HM, I GUESS IT DID KINDA LOOK LIKE DANCE MOVES.
[Giggling]
Rock Star Penguin asks, HOW WOULD YOU TWO LIKE TO MAKE UP SOME MOVES FOR MY BACKGROUND DANCERS?
The backup dancer penguins say, SQUIBBIT, SQUIBBIT, SQUIBBIT.
Donkey and Panda say, WE'D LOVE TO.
Donkey says, I, DONKEY HODIE...
[Slide whistle]
Panda says, AND I, PURPLE PANDA...
[Slide whistle]

[Penguin dancers chattering]

[Gulls squawking]
Panda says, AFTER THE YODEL BIRDS. OKAY, GOT IT! BUT WHO'S ON STAGE NOW?
[Slide whistle, classic rock music plays, audience cheering, slide whistle]
On the stage, a three-bird band plays. One shakes a tambourine, one plays the drums, and the last bird plays a guitar.
Donkey says, IT'S NOT THE YODEL BIRDS. I THINK WE HAVE SOME TIME, BUT WE'D BETTER GET STARTED.
Panda says, MM.
[Clicking, rock music plays, Panda giggling]
Panda pushes a button on the portable music player and walks to Donkey and the penguin dancers.
Donkey says, ALL RIGHT, DANCERS, HERE WE GO.
Panda says, OKAY, WATCH CLOSELY. MM.
[Inhaling deeply, wobbling]
Donkey flaps her arms, and Panda waddles.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP.
Panda says, WADDLE, WADDLE.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP.
Panda says, WADDLE, WADDLE.
The penguin dancers say, HUH?
Donkey and Panda ask, GOT IT?
[The penguin dancers chattering, boinging]
One penguin wobbles, one flaps, and the last tilts their head and stands still.
Panda says, UM.
Donkey says, HM. UM...
[Panda and Donkey laughing, gull squawking]
Donkey says, OKAY, TEACHING MOVES AT THE SAME TIME PROBABLY ISN'T THE BEST IDEA. LET'S TRY THIS. EVERY BIRDIE, FLAP. FLAP, FLAP.
[Upbeat music plays]
The penguin dancers flap their wings.
Donkey says, GREAT. NOW, EVERY BIRDIE RUFFLE THOSE FEATHERS AND SHAKE.
[Wobbling]
Donkey and the penguin dancers shake.
Panda says, OH, HEY, DONKEY. I JUST HAD AN IDEA FOR THE SECOND VERSE. WE CAN BOTH COME TOGE—
Donkey says, OH, YEAH, THE SECOND VERSE.
Panda continues, THER.
[Slide whistles]
Donkey slides left and right.
Donkey says, THAT'S WHEN WE SLIDE TO LEFT. SLIDE TO THE RIGHT.
Panda says, HM. AH. OKAY.
[Slide whistles]
Donkey and the penguin dancers slide left and right.
Donkey says, AND NOW, FOR THE GRAND FINALE!
Panda says, OH, DONKEY! YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THE GRAND FINALE? IF WE--
Donkey says, I SURE DO. EVERY BIRDIE, PECK.
[Boinging, upbeat music plays]
Donkey and the penguin dancers peck.
Donkey says, PECK, PECK, PECK.
Panda says, THAT'S NOT WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY AT ALL.

[Panda sighing loudly, boinging]
Panda says, THIS IS FRUSTRATING! I'M GONNA GO AND PLAY SOMETHING ELSE FOR A WHILE.
Panda walks away, and Rock Star Penguin arrives.
Rock Star Penguin says, HEY! HOW'S THE DANCE COMING ALONG?
Donkey says, OH, GREAT. WE JUST FINISHED. HEAR THIS. A FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT.
[Upbeat music notes play, wobbling, slide whistles, boinging, light music plays]
The penguin dancers flap their wings, shake, slide to the side, and peck.
Donkey says, FLAP, FLAP, SHAKE, SHAKE, SLIDE, SLIDE, PECK. SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Rock Star Penguin says, WELL, UH, THERE... THERE'S NICE MOVES.
[Gull squawking]
Donkey says, MM-HM.
Rock Star Penguin says, THERE'S JUST I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING'S MISSING.
Donkey says, UH...
[Rock Star Penguin gasping, wobbling, light music plays]
Rock Star Penguin says, HEY! WHAT ABOUT THAT WADDLE MOVE YOU DID EARLIER? OOH, NOW THAT WAS REALLY ROCKIN'!
Donkey says, WADDLE? OH! THAT WAS PANDA'S MOVE.
Rock Star Penguin says, AH!
Donkey says, RIGHT, PANDA? PANDA?
Rock Star Penguin asks, WHERE'S PURPLE PANDA?
[Gull squawking, upbeat music plays]
Donkey says, I DON'T KNOW, BUT I'LL FIND HIM. AND TOGETHER, WE'LL COME UP WITH A NEW DANCE FOR YOUR PERFORMANCE.
Rock Star Penguin says, ROCKIN'. YOU STILL HAVE SOME TIME.
[Slide whistle]
On the stage, Duck Duck says, HEY, HEY! THIS NEXT SONG GOES OUT TO MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BAND. QUACK JAM.
[Lively keyboard music plays]
Duck Duck plays her keyboard.
Duck Duck says, YEAH!
[Panda sighing, soft music plays]
Elsewhere on the beach, Panda makes a sand creature with seashell eyes.
Panda says, AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE, SAND SNURDLE? ROCK STAR PENGUIN ASKED BOTH DONKEY AND ME TO MAKE A DANCE FOR HER, BUT THEN DONKEY ENDED UP DOING IT ALL BY HERSELF.
[Sighing]
Panda says, SO FRUSTRATING.
[Footsteps rustling]
Donkey says, OH! THERE YOU ARE, PANDA. WHAT ARE YOU DOIN'?
[Sand rustling, gull squawking, sad music plays]
Panda pats the side of his sand creature, the sand snurdle.
Panda says, HEY, DONKEY. I'M JUST MAKING' A SAD SAND SNURDLE.
Donkey says, OH. WELL, WHY IS IT SAD?
Panda says, WELL, HE'S SAD BECAUSE I'M SAD.
[Breathing deeply]
Panda says, ALL OF THE MOVES WERE YOURS, DONKEY. I DIDN'T GET TO SHARE ANY OF MY IDEAS. AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE UP THAT DANCE TOGETHER.
[Sighing]
Panda says, IT MADE ME SO FRUSTRATED.
[Slide whistle, boinging]
In a flashback, Donkey remembers the penguin dancers sliding to the left. She imagines Panda teaching the penguin dancers the peck.
Donkey says, YOU'RE RIGHT. THEY WERE ALL MY MOVES. AND I KNOW I'D FEEL SAD AND FRUSTRATED IF WE ONLY USED YOUR IDEAS AND NOT MINE.
[Beeping, waves sloshing, gull squawking]
The daydream ends.
Donkey says, I'M SORRY, PANDA. THAT WASN'T FAIR. AND THE DANCE WASN'T THE SAME WITHOUT YOUR MOVES. DO YOU THINK WE COULD START OVER?
Panda says, WELL...
[Inhaling deeply]
Panda nods and says, YEAH, YEAH, DONKEY.
[Giggling]
Panda says, YOU KNOW, MAKING THIS SAND SNURDLE AND TELLING YOU HOW I'M FEELING ACTUALLY MAKES ME FEEL A LOT BETTER, DONKEY.
Donkey says, OH, I'M SO GLAD, PANDA, PAL. NOW, LET'S MAKE UP A NEW DANCE, AND THIS TIME WE'LL USE BOTH OUR IDEAS.
Donkey and Panda watch three yodel birds fly overhead.
The yodel birds sing, A LITTLE OLD LADY-HOO A LITTLE OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY, OLD LADY-HOO.
An announcer says, AND NOW, LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE YODEL BIRDS.
[Audience cheering]
Donkey says, YODEL BIRDS?!
Panda says, OH, THAT MEANS THAT ROCK STAR PENGUIN IS UP NEXT, AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE A DANCE, DONKEY.
Donkey says, OH, WE CAN DO THIS, PANDA. THINK, DONKEY HODIE. THINK. WHAT'S A FAIR WAY TO INCLUDE BOTH OUR DANCE MOVES?
Panda says, WHAT ABOUT OUR SEASIDE WORKOUT?
Donkey says, HEY, YEAH! WE WENT BACK AND FORTH MAKING UP MOVES FROM THE SONG.
Panda says, TAKING TURNS SOUNDS FAIR TO ME.
[Panda laughing]
Donkey says, COME ON, PANDA. LET'S DO IT.
[Clicking, rock music plays]
Donkey pushes the button on the portable music player.
Donkey says, OKAY, PANDA. YOU GET THE FIRST MOVE.

Panda says, OKAY.
[Panda giggling, footsteps rustling]

[Penguin dancers chattering]

[Wobbling]
Panda waddles and wobbles.

The penguin dancers walk towards the stage.

Panda says, OH, OKAY.
On the stage, Rock Star Penguin holds an electric guitar. The penguin dancers stand in a row to her left. Panda and Donkey watch as the audience gathers in front of the stage.
Someone cheers, WOO-HOO!
Speaking into a microphone, Rock Star Penguin says, THANK YOU. THANK YOU. HERE'S MY NEW SONG, THE BIRDIE ROCK HOP. AND I WANNA THANK DONKEY HODIE AND PURPLE PANDA FOR MAKIN' UP THE ROCKIN' DANCE MOVES YOU'RE GONNA SEE. LET'S ROCK!
[Rock music plays, audience cheering]
Rock Star Penguin plays her guitar, and the penguin dancers and the audience dance.
