In front of Grampy Hodie’s cabin, Donkey jumps onto a drum and bounces off. Grampy Hodie watches her bounce up in front of Duck Duck in the sky.

Duck Duck, a green duck, quacks, KEE-KEE! QUACK!

[Boinging]
In Bob Dog’s front yard, Donkey and Bob Dog, a brown dog, ride on top of bouncing balls.

Donkey bounces off her ball and lands in front of Purple Panda’s spaceship.

[Duck Duck gasping, boinging]
Duck Duck jumps excitedly.
Duck Duck says, OOH! I WANNA HEAR A SONG TOO! YEAH!
[Donkey laughing]
Donkey says, I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY ONE!
[Groaning, birds chirping]
Donkey says, OH, BUT I NEED MY GUITAR FIRST.
[Groaning]

Duck Duck says, AH, NO CAN DO, DONKEY, I GOTTA GET THIS BOOK BACK TO THE POND. SORRY.

Donkey paces in her yard.

Donkey picks up a small stick with leaves on the end.

[Sad music plays]
Donkey paces.
Donkey sings, WAITING IS TOUGH... OH, YES, IT'S TRUE. SO WHAT DO I DO WHILE I WAIT FOR TURTLE LOU?
[Rustling]
Donkey says, OH.
[Rustling]
Donkey moves the leafy end of the stick on the ground.
Donkey sings, I CAN MAKE SWIFFY-WIFFY SOUNDS WITH A STICK ON THE GROUND.
[Rustling]
Donkey sings, BE BOP A LA-DI-DAH ROCK-A-LOCK A ROVER. WHEN, OH WHEN, WILL THIS WAITING BE OVER?
[Whistling, groaning, whistling, gasping]
Donkey says, TURTLE LOU?
[Rustling, upbeat music plays]
Donkey drops the stick and runs to her front pathway.
Donkey says, TURTLE LOU, IS THAT YOU?!

Donkey walks to Bob Dog.
Donkey says, OH! HIYA, BOB.
Bob Dog says, OH, HEY, DONKEY HODIE! WHATCHA UP TO?
Donkey says, OH, TURTLE LOU IS DELIVERING MY GUITAR TODAY. SO, I'M WAITING FOR HIM.
Bob Dog says, OH! UH, WAITING CAN BE HARD!
Donkey says, MM. SURE CAN. HEY, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT?
Bob Dog says, OH, WELL, I LIKE TO DO A LITTLE CLAPPING AND TAPPING.

Bob Dog claps his paws and taps his feet.

Donkey says, OKAY.

Bob Dog picks up a paint can full of paintbrushes.
Bob Dog says, I HAVE TO RETURN THESE PAINT BRUSHES TO HARRIET. BUT I'LL SEE YOU LATER! BYE, DONKEY!
[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dob leaves.
Donkey says, OKAY! BYE-BYE! MORE WAITING.
[Sighing, clapping, mellow music arrives]
Donkey claps her hands and paces.

Frannie arrives carrying a basket.
Frannie says, HI, DONKEY!

Frannie puts the basket on the ground.

Frannie waves her arms.

Frannie bounces away, carrying the basket.

[Duck Duck humming, Donkey sighing]
Duck Duck walks away.
Donkey says, MORE WAITING.
[Whooshing, squeaking, Donkey sighing]
Donkey waves her tail and looks at some flowers.
[Shutter creaking, banging]
Donkey opens and closes her shutter.
[Humming, crunching]
Donkey paces in her yard.
Donkey says, HM!
Donkey picks up a small stick with leaves on the end.
Donkey says, HM.
[Sad music plays]
Donkey paces.
Donkey sings, WAITING IS TOUGH... OH, YES, IT'S TRUE. SO WHAT DO I DO WHILE I WAIT FOR TURTLE LOU?
[Rustling]
Donkey says, OH.
[Rustling]
Donkey moves the leafy end of the stick on the ground.
Donkey sings, I CAN MAKE SWIFFY-WIFFY SOUNDS WITH A STICK ON THE GROUND.
[Rustling]
Donkey sings, BE BOP A LA-DI-DAH ROCK-A-LOCK A ROVER. WHEN, OH WHEN, WILL THIS WAITING BE OVER?
[Whistling, groaning, whistling, gasping]
Donkey says, TURTLE LOU?
[Rustling, upbeat music plays]
Donkey drops the stick and runs to her front pathway.
Donkey says, TURTLE LOU, IS THAT YOU?!
[Whistling]
Donkey walks to Bob Dog.
Donkey says, OH! HIYA, BOB.
Bob Dog says, OH, HEY, DONKEY HODIE! WHATCHA UP TO?
Donkey says, OH, TURTLE LOU IS DELIVERING MY GUITAR TODAY. SO, I'M WAITING FOR HIM.
Bob Dog says, OH! UH, WAITING CAN BE HARD!
Donkey says, MM. SURE CAN. HEY, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT?
Bob Dog says, OH, WELL, I LIKE TO DO A LITTLE CLAPPING AND TAPPING.
Donkey says, "CLAPPING AND TAPPING?!"
Bob Dog says, YEAH, YEAH! ALLOW ME TO DEMONSTRATE.
[Upbeat music plays, clapping, tapping]
Bob Dog claps his paws and taps his feet.
Bob Dog sings, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, TAP, TAP, TAP. CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, TAPPY, TAPPY, TAP.
[Humming, clapping, tapping]
Donkey says, OKAY.
[Upbeat music plays, clapping, tapping]
Donkey claps and taps.
Donkey sings, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, TAPPY, TAPPY, TAP. A-CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, A-TAPPY, TAPPY, TAP.
Donkey says, I GOT IT!
[Clapping, tapping]
They clap and tap together.

[Clapping, tapping, Donkey chuckling, Bob Dog humming, happy music plays]
They clap and tap together, ending with a high-five.
Donkey says, HA-HA! I LIKE THAT! HEY, YOU WANNA WAIT WITH ME UNTIL TURTLE LOU GETS HERE?
Bob Dog says, OH, UH, NO, I CAN'T RIGHT NOW.
[Birds singing, tapping]
Bob Dog picks up a paint can full of paintbrushes.
Bob Dog says, I HAVE TO RETURN THESE PAINT BRUSHES TO HARRIET. BUT I'LL SEE YOU LATER! BYE, DONKEY!
[Upbeat music plays]
Bob Dob leaves.
Donkey says, OKAY! BYE-BYE! MORE WAITING.
[Sighing, clapping, mellow music arrives]
Donkey claps her hands and paces.
Donkey sings, WAITING IS TOUGH, OH, YES, IT'S TRUE. SO, WHAT DO I DO WHILE I WAIT FOR TURTLE LOU? I CAN CLIPPITY-CLOPPITY-CLAP AND TIPPITY-TAPPITY TAP. AND PAT-A-PAT PAT, AND BING BANG BING. I CAN MAKE SOME SOUNDS ON ALMOST ANYTHING.
Donkey says, HM!
Frannie arrives carrying a basket.
Frannie says, HI, DONKEY!
Donkey says, HA! FRANNIE FOX!
Frannie says, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE HAVING FUN OVER HERE, DONKEY!
[Birds chirping, upbeat music notes play, rustling]
Frannie puts the basket on the ground.
Donkey says, OH, I WAS JUST LAUGHING AT A SILLY LITTLE SONG I WAS MAKING UP WHILE I WAIT FOR TURTLE LOU TO DELIVER MY GUITAR.
Frannie says, OOH! CAN I HEAR IT?
Donkey says, WELL-- UH, SURE!
[Donkey chuckling, clapping, tapping, upbeat music plays]
Donkey claps and taps while Frannie dances beside her.

Donkey picks up the stick and moves the end on the ground.
Donkey sings, I CAN MAKE SOME SOUNDS ON ALMOST ANYTHING. I CAN MAKE SWIFFY-WIFFY SOUNDS WITH A STICK ON THE GROUND. BE BOP A LA-DI-DA, BACKA-LACKA DO. FRANNIE HAS SOME AMAZING DANCE MOVES.
[Both laughing, the music stops]
Donkey says, OH, THOSE ARE SOME SWEET MOVES, FRANNIE! CAN YOU SHOW ME HOW TO DO 'EM?
Frannie says, AH, OF COURSE!
Frannie says, HM.
[Slide whistles]
Frannie waves her arms.
Frannie says, YOU JUST WAVE...
[Wobbling]
Frannie wiggles her bottom.
Frannie says, WIGGLE...
[Whooshing]
Frannie shakes her body and tail.
Frannie says, AND SHAKE...
Donkey says, OKAY, OKAY.
[Slide whistle, wobbling, whooshing]
Donkey waves her arms, wiggles her bottom, and shakes her body.
Donkey says, WAVE... AND WIGGLE...AND SHAKE...
[Donkey laughing]
[Slide whistle, wobbling, whooshing, upbeat music plays]
Donkey and Frannie wave their arms, wiggle their bottoms, and shake their bodies.
Frannie and Donkey say, WAVE.... WIGGLE...AND SHAKE... YIPEE!
Frannie looks at the ground.
Frannie says, OH, WAIT!
Donkey stops with her arms spread and a foot in the air.
Donkey asks, IS THIS PART OF THE DANCE?
Frannie picks up the basket and takes out a red buzzer button.
Frannie says, NO! I ALMOST FORGOT THAT I HAVE TO RETURN THIS GAME SHOW BUZZER TO GAME SHOW GATOR!
Donkey says, OH.
[Boinging, happy music plays]
Frannie bounces away, carrying the basket.
Frannie says, SEE YOU LATER, DONKEY!
Donkey says, OH, WELL, BYE, FRANNIE FOX!
[Donkey sighing]
Donkey says, HM-HM. MORE WAITING.
[Slide whistle, sighing, inhaling deeply, whooshing, gentle music plays]
Donkey falls backwards onto the grass and looks up at the clouds. Clyde floats above her.
Clyde asks, OH, WHAT'S WRONG, DONKEY HODIE?
[Sighing, birds singing]
Donkey says, I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER. IT'S TOO HARD...
Clyde says, REALLY?
Donkey says, YES, REALLY.
Clyde says, HUH. WELL, I'VE BEEN HEARING YOU SING AND MAKE MUSIC; I THINK I EVEN SPOTTED YOU DANCING!
[Slide whistle, gentle music plays]
Donkey stands.
Donkey says, WELL, YEAH...
Clyde says, WELL, MAYBE YOU COULD WAIT A LITTLE LONGER...
Donkey says, CAN I? THINK, DONKEY HODIE, THINK.
[Sighing]
Donkey says, IT'S HARD TO WAIT!
Clyde says, HM...
Donkey says, BUT I'VE BEEN MAKING IT FUN...
Clyde says, UH-HUH...
Donkey says, I EVEN MADE UP A SONG!

Donkey picks up the stick.

[Clyde chuckling]
Donkey dances.

[Cheering, applause]
Bob Dog, Duck Duck, and Frannie stand behind Donkey. She stops dancing and looks at them.
Frannie says, WOW, THAT'S AWESOME!
Bob Dog says, WAY TO GO, DONKEY HODIE!
Donkey says, WOW, YOU ALL CAME BACK! I WAS—
[Drum beat pattering]
Donkey says, HM?
[Drum beat pattering, upbeat music plays, zooming]
[Birds chirping]
Turtle Lou arrives with the guitar.
Turtle Lou says, SPEEDY DELIVERY!
Donkey says, TURTLE LOU!
Turtle Lou says, HERE'S YOUR GUITAR, DONKEY HODIE!
Duck Duck says, AW, I LOVE THAT!
Frannie says, HM-HM!
Donkey says, THANK YOU.
Turtle Lou says, YOU ARE SO VERY WELCOME! WELL, ALWAYS MORE SPEEDY DELIVERIES TO MAKE!
[Wobbling, upbeat music plays]
Turtle Lou lifts his arm.
Turtle Lou says, SEE YOU SOON, DONKEY HODIE!
[Donkey laughing]
Turtle Lou says, SPEEDY DELIVERY!
[Zooming]
Donkey says, BYE!

[Rustling]
Donkey reads a note.

[Donkey chuckling, birds chirping]
Clyde flies down from the sky.
Clyde asks, WELL, DONKEY HODIE... WILL YOU PLAY A SONG ON YOUR GUITAR FOR US?
[Upbeat music plays]
Donkey says, HE-HAW, I WILL! THE WAIT IS OVER!
Frannie says, YEAH!
Duck Duck says, ALRIGHT!
Bob Dog says, OH, YES!
