DESCRIPTION: In an animation, at Forest Camp for Young Birds, Odo, a brown and white owl, pops up as other campers scatter and hide behind bushes and trees.
ODO: Ha-ha, here I come.
DOODLE SINGS: Odo.
THREE CHICKENS SING: Odo.
BIRDS AND A PEACOCK SING: Odo.
THREE YELLOW CANARIES SING: Odo.
[Mud splashes]
DESCRIPTION: Odo jumps into a muddy puddle.
TOUCANS SING: Odo.
FLAMINGOS SING: Odo.

DESCRIPTION: In Odo’s house, his mum puts a cereal box on the kitchen table. Odo arrives and sits across from his dad.
ODO’S MUM: Odo, time for breakfast!
ODO: Breakfast! My favourite first meal of the day!
[Odo’s mum chuckles, cereal clatters, rumble, everyone gasps, tense music plays, bowl rattles]
DESCRIPTION: Odo pours the cereal into his bowl. The house shakes, and Odo’s bowl bounces across the table to the floor.
ODO’S MUM: Oh!
ODO: Oh!
[Everyone gasps, pans rattle, furniture scrapes]
DESCRIPTION: The pans hanging on the wall shake. The room tips, and Odo’s dad grabs a milk jug. Odo and his parents watch an armchair and floor lamp slide past them.
ODO: Aah! Um...
ODO’S DAD: Um...
ODO: What's going on?
ODO’S MUM: Oh, um, nothing to worry about.
[Odo’s dad chuckles]
ODO’S MUM: Just a little, uh... wobble.
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s dad nods.
ODO’S MUM: Uh, pass the acorn milk, please.
[Odo’s dad chuckles nervously, bowl scrapes, light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s dad gives Odo’s mum the milk, then grabs his bowl as it slides away. His mum pours milk into her cereal.
ODO: Oh. Um...
DOODLE, DISTANTLY: Odo!
ODO’S DAD: Oh, hey, it's Doodle! Why don't you run along and play?
[Odo’s mum chuckles, bowl scrapes]
ODO: Um...okay.
[Scraping]
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s dad grabs his bowl. Odo lets go of the table, and his stool slides across the room. He jumps through an open doorway and lands on the porch.
ODO: Whoa! Whoa! Oh!
[Sad music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo peers around the corner of the doorway at his parents.
ODO’S MUM: Oh, dear. Maybe this old tree has got too old. I think it's finally time to move.
[Odo gasps, pants]
DESCRIPTION: Odo runs and finds Doodle balancing on one leg on the grass.
ODO: Doodle!
DOODLE: Odo... your house looks funny.
[Mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: One side of Odo’s tipped house almost touches the ground.
ODO: I know, Doodle! And now Mum and Dad say we have to move! I don't want to move!
DOODLE: Maybe we can fix your tree.
[Tense music plays, both grunt, birds chirp]
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle try to lift the corner of the porch.
ODO: Oh, Doodle, what am I going to do?
[Mellow music plays]
DOODLE: Maybe you can find another home?
ODO: Yes! I can find a new home just like this one. I know I can!
[Whoosh, feathers whoosh, bird chirps, upbeat music plays, pencil scratches]
DESCRIPTION: Odo leaps into the air with his left wing raised high. Feathers wave. Odo stands on the grass in front of his house and holds up a pencil to measure it. He holds a sketchpad and squints his left eye. Odo draws a tree with three large hollows in the trunk, with stairs leading up to a porch. He and Doodle smile.
ODO: I'm gonna draw my tree so we can find one that looks just like it. Ah! Hmm. Now let's go find a tree that perfectly matches this drawing.
[Feathers whoosh, bird chirps, unhappy music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, Odo and Doodle stand beneath tall trees, and Odo consults his drawing. They look at a hollow log.
ODO: Nope. No. No!
[Odo gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Odo finds a tree with a hollow in the trunk.
ODO: The perfect tree!
[Descending music notes play]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle and Odo run up a hill to the tree and discover it is smaller than Odo.
ODO: Oh...
[Feathers whoosh, bird chirps, mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, Doodle and Odo sit on mossy rock, staring sadly down at the ground.
ODO: What if there isn't any other tree that's just like my old one?
[Both sigh, Odo gasps]
DESCRIPTION: Odo stands.
ODO: Wait! Maybe my new home doesn't have to be just like the old one! Maybe I could live somewhere different. Like... Like...
[Odo grunts, rustle]
DESCRIPTION: Odo jumps off the rock and gestures at it.
ODO: On a rock!
[Doodle grunts, leaves rustle]
DOODLE: Hup! Or in a bush?
DESCRIPTION: Doodle jumps onto a bush.
ODO: Or in the bog.
[Bog bubbles]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle covers her beak.
ODO: But it stinks!
DESCRIPTION: Doodle and Odo look into a hole.
DOODLE: Or... under the ground?
[Doodle gasps, soft thump, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle jumps back from the edge of the hole.
DOODLE: Odo, why don't you come live with me and my mum? In our home?
[Whoosh]
DESCRIPTION: Odo picks Doodle up and spins in a circle with her.
ODO: Doodle! That is a great idea! Do you think we can?
[Birds chirp]
DOODLE: I know you can! Our house is a home to anyone who needs it.
DESCRIPTION: Odo hugs Doodle.
ODO: Oh, Doodle! Let's go tell my mum and dad.
[Feathers whoosh, bird chirps]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Odo and Doodle arrive at Odo’s house.
ODO: Mum? Mum? Dad? That's weird. Never mind. Let's get all our stuff moved into your house, Doodle.
[Doodle and Odo pant]
DESCRIPTION: At the camp, the chickens watch the floor lamp and a potted plant pass by behind the bushes.
CHICKENS: Huh?
[Panting, Doodle’s mum hums, upbeat piano music, lamp clunks]
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle arrive at the burrow. Doodle jumps on a stool, still carrying the plant, and Odo holds the lamp. They put the objects on a table. On the other side of the room, Doodle’s mum plays the piano.
DOODLE: Mum!
DOODLE’S MUM: Oh!
[Tense music plays]
DOODLE: Odo's tree went bendy, so his Mum and Dad said they have to move, so can Odo's family come and live with us, please?
DOODLE’S MUM: What? Hey! Well, of course, they can live with us.
ODO AND DOODLE: Yay!
DESCRIPTION: Doodle and Odo hug Doodle’s mum, then jump back to the floor.
ODO: Thank you, thank you!
DOODLE: Thank you! We'll go get the rest of Odo's stuff.
[Footsteps patter, panting, Doodle’s mum pants, banging, chickens cluck, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: At camp, Shirley stands on Flo and Joe’s backs, pecking on a tree trunk. Odo and Doodle rush out of the forest, and Odo bumps into Joe, knocking the other chickens down.
ODO: Oh!
JOE: Hey!
[Flo groans]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers gently float down the ground as Shirley sits on Flo and Joe.
JOE: Where are you going in such a hurry?
DOODLE: Sorry. We're getting all of Odo's family's stuff and moving it into my home.
[Mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo nods.
SHIRLEY: Yeah? Well, we'll help. Won't we, girls?
CHICKENS: Sure! Oh, yes!
DESCRIPTION: In a clearing, Shirley stands on a stump, and the other campers gather in front of her.
SHIRLEY: Hey, everybody! We're helping Odo move house!
ANNA: Oh, really? What fun!
[Campers cheer, chatter, laugh, Feathers whoosh, bird chirps, campers pant, chickens cluck, feathers whoosh, bird chirps, upbeat music plays, campers gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, at Odo’s house, Rosie picks up a red kettle. Odo takes a partially mixed bowl of batter off the countertop, then Anna and Rudi push the counter towards the doorway. Leonardo carries the kitchen sink outside. The campers carry the furniture through the forest. Feathers wave. The campers gather at the entrance to Doodle’s burrow and look inside.
ANNA: Doodle, you live in a hole in the ground?
[Mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle nods.
DOODLE: Uh-huh.
ANNA: That is so cool!
DOODLE: Thanks.
[Campers chatter, laugh, chickens cluck, piano music plays, campers clamour, furniture scrapes, campers pant]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle leads the campers into the burrow. Shirley and Joe follow at the rear, carrying a table with a box of paper between them. Inside, Doodle’s mum plays the piano as furniture fills the room behind her.
[Light music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Campers poke their heads out from behind furniture as Doodle introduces them.
DOODLE: Mum, my friends from camp are here. This is Jo, Flo, Shirley, Zu, Bea, Doo, Rubi, Rosie, Anna, Rudy, Buzz, Zip, Leo, John John, Martin, Bud, Louie and Thelma.
CAMPERS: Hello, Doodle's mum!
[Hummingbird wings flutter quickly]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle’s mum waves.
DOODLE’S MUM: Hello, everyone! I'm afraid I can't see very well. Is there enough room for everything?
DOODLE: Oh, yes.
RUDI: Doodle, your mum is a badger? That is so cool!
DOODLE: Thanks! I know.
[Feathers whoosh, bird chirp, campers chatter]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, Odo and Doodle sit on a bench by the burrow exit and wave as the campers leave.
ODO: Thank you, everybody!
ALL: Bye, Odo. Bye, Doodle!
CAMPER: You're quite welcome.
[Odo and Doodle laugh, wings tap, upbeat music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle high-five.
ODO: We did it, Doodle!
[Odo’s parents pant]
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s parents arrive, running.
ODO’S MUM: Odo, there you are!
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s mum hugs him.
ODO’S MUM: Mmm!
[Odo’s dad sighs, soft music plays]
ODO’S MUM: I'm afraid we have some bad news.
ODO: We have to leave our home and move to a new one.
ODO’S MUM: No, I mean-- Well, yes. Uh, but that's not the bad news.
[Tense music plays]
ODO’S MUM: The bad news is... all of our things are gone.
[Odo and Doodle gasp]
DESCRIPTION: Odo and Doodle glance at each other.
ODO: Um, Doodle and I did that.
ODO’S MUM: Oh.
ODO’S DAD: Huh?
[Mellow music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo points at boxes stacked inside the burrow entrance.
ODO: We moved all our stuff into Doodle's house so we can live here.
[Odo’s parents laugh]
ODO’S DAD: You did?
ODO’S MUM: Oh!
ODO: Where were you?
ODO’S MUM: We went looking for a new home. And we found one!
DESCRIPTION: Odo’s mum gestures at a nearby tree with three large hollows in the trunk.
ODO: Wow!
[Paper rustles, Odo gasps, uplifting music plays]
DESCRIPTION: Odo holds up his drawing of the tree with stairs and a porch below three hollows in a tree. He and Doodle stare, wide-eyed, at the tree.
ODO: It's perfect!
[Odo’s mum chuckles, bird sings, upbeat music plays]
ODO’S DAD: And the good news is, you'll be living even closer to Doodle.
ODO: Yes!
DOODLE: Yay!
[Odo’s parents laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle’s mum arrives.
DOODLE’S MUM: Hello. It's getting late. Too late to move into your new tree today. Why don't you join us for a sleepover?
ODO’S DAD: That would be lovely.
[Feathers whoosh, bird sings, Odo’s dad chuckles]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, steam rises from Odo’s parents’ mugs as they lie in bed. Doodle’s mum tucks Doodle and Odo into drawers on top of the piano.
DOODLE’S MUM: Mwah! Good night.
[Odo’s dad chuckles, mellow piano tune plays]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle’s mum plays the piano.
DOODLE’S MUM SINGS: Home is where the love is. Under the ground or up in a tree. When the cold wind blows, and you know where to go. You've always got a home with Doodle and me. In a cozy burrow or in branches above, home is a place where there's always love.

DESCRIPTION: Odo holds up his drawing of the tree with stairs and a porch below three hollows in a tree. He and Doodle stare, wide-eyed, at the tree.
ODO: It's perfect!
[Odo’s mum chuckles, bird sings, upbeat music plays]
ODO’S DAD: And the good news is, you'll be living even closer to Doodle.
ODO: Yes!
DOODLE: Yay!
[Odo’s parents laugh]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle’s mum arrives.
DOODLE’S MUM: Hello. It's getting late. Too late to move into your new tree today. Why don't you join us for a sleepover?
ODO’S DAD: That would be lovely.
[Feathers whoosh, bird sings, Odo’s dad chuckles]
DESCRIPTION: Feathers wave. Later, steam rises from Odo’s parents’ mugs as they lie in bed. Doodle’s mum tucks Doodle and Odo into drawers on top of the piano.
DOODLE’S MUM: Mwah! Good night.
[Odo’s dad chuckles, mellow piano tune plays]
DESCRIPTION: Doodle’s mum plays the piano.
DOODLE’S MUM SINGS: Home is where the love is. Under the ground or up in a tree. When the cold wind blows, and you know where to go. You've always got a home with Doodle and me. In a cozy burrow or in branches above, home is a place where there's always love.
