Numberblocks
Descriptive Transcript
DESCRIPTION: Colourful Numberblocks run together over grassy hills. Each Numberblock is named by the total number of blocks it contains. 1 is a red square, 2 is orange, 3 is yellow, 4 is green, and 5 is blue. They all have smiling faces.
SINGERS: One, two, three, four, five Numberblocks
DESCRIPTION: Five more Numberblocks jump into the sky together. 6 is purple and polka dotted, 7 is rainbow, 8 is hot pink, 9 is grey, and 10 is grey and red.
SINGERS: Six, seven, eight, nine, ten Numberblocks
DESCRIPTION: Numberblocks combine to create larger Numberblocks.
SINGERS: One and another one is two and another one is
THREE: Me!
SINGERS: That's three!
DESCRIPTION: Numberblocks dance together in the sky and run through a grassy field.
SINGERS: Five, four, three, two, one! It's time for some number fun! You can count on us. We're the Numberblocks!
[Title] “Numberblocks”.
DESCRIPTION: In a massive stadium area, a large crowd watches Five speak on the stage.
[Cheering]
FIVE: I hope you're all enjoying a Family of Fives All-Star Line Up!
[Cheering]
FIVE: Let's have a big hand for all the acts you saw in the first half.
DESCRIPTION: On the screen behind Five, pictures of Numberblocks appear.
FIVE: Five, ten, 15, 20, 25.
[Cheering]
FIVE: Still to come in the second half, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50! See you after the break!
[Cheering]
DESCRIPTION: Five walks backstage where Ten, Fifteen, Twenty, and Twenty-Five are waiting. Backstage are ten doors, each labelled with a Family of Five number.
FIVE: Great show, everybody! Now, please tell me the other acts have arrived.
NUMBERBLOCKS: Uh.
[Phone ringing]
FIVE: Oh! Maybe that's them! Hello?
DESCRIPTION: On the side of a road, Fifty uses a phone booth to call Five.
FIFTY: Hi, Five. It's me, 50. The tour bus got a flat tire. We're trying to fix it, but it's taking ages. Sorry, but we'll be there as soon as we can.
FIVE: They're stuck. We'll have to start the second half without them.
TEN: But how? Everyone in the Family of Fives is meant to be on that stage.
TWENTY-FIVE: Hold on, though! Everyone in the Family of Fives is
DESCRIPTION: Twenty-five splits into five groups of five.
FIVES [singing]: Made of fives! Ooh!
FIVE: So, as long as we know how many fives we need, we can make them ourselves right here!
TWENTY: Okay, the next act after 25 is 30 and 30 is six lots of five.
TWENTY-FIVE: Well, I'm already–
DESCRIPTION: Twenty-five splits into five groups of five.
FIVES [singing]: Five fives, oh!
FIVE: And one more five makes–
DESCRIPTION: The six groups of Fives combine and create Thirty.
THIRTY: 30! It's showtime!
DESCRIPTION: On stage, Thirty juggles balls labelled ‘ten’ and ‘five’.
THIRTY: Roll up! Roll up! Roll up! For the three-ring circus!
[Crowd cheering]
THIRTY: Three tens plus six fives!
[Crowd cheering]
DESCRIPTION: Backstage, Twenty, Fifteen, and Ten all speak to each other.
TWENTY: If 30 is six lots of five, the next act must be seven lots of five. How many fives have we got?
DESCRIPTION: The other Numberblocks split apart.
FIVES: Two fives. Three fives. Four fives!
TEN: Well, three plus four is seven. So, three fives and four fives is--
FIVES: Seven fives!
THIRTY FIVE: 35!
DESCRIPTION: On stage, Thirty Five speaks into a microphone. Thirty-five is yellow and has rainbow flowers decorated on it.
THIRTY FIVE: Hey! I'm 35! And I'm the Rainbow Flower Sunshine Band!
[Crowd cheering]
DESCRIPTION: Thirty-five runs around the stage, and poorly plays different instruments.
[Piano playing]
[Drum playing]
[Guitar playing]
[Trumpet playing]
[Triangle chiming]
[Crickets chirping]
THIRTY FIVE: Only joking.
[Chuckling]
DESCRIPTION: Thirty-five is separated into seven groups of five.
ALL: We're the Rainbow Flower Sunshine Band!
[Crowd cheering]
DESCRIPTION: The Rainbow Flower Sunshine Band plays all their various instruments and sings.
FIVES: Rainbows, flowers Sunshine!
DESCRIPTION: Backstage, Thirty and Ten combine.
THIRTY FIVE: After 35 comes 40. I think between us, we can manage that.
DESCRIPTION: Forty separates into tens and fives.
TENS: Three tens.
TEN: And one more ten--
ALL: Is four tens. 40!
ALL: Four tens!
ALL: Eight fives!
FORTY: 40! Rectangular.
[Crowd cheering]
DESCRIPTION: In a gust of smoke, Forty appears on stage.
FORTY: And now it's time to liven things up.
[Crowd cheering]
FORTY: By showing you my 40 favourite rectangles!
[Crowd cheering]
FORTY: Let's see.
DESCRIPTION: Backstage, Thirty Five stands by himself.
THIRTY FIVE: 45. Nine lots of five. But I'm only seven lots of five and there's no one else here.
DESCRIPTION: Five Tens on rocket boots land backstage. The Tens combine to create Fifty.
FIFTY: Hi there, 35. I thought I'd race ahead. See if you needed any help.
THIRTY FIVE: Thanks, 50. What I need is 45.
FIFTY: Well hey! I'm five tens! So I can turn that around and make–
DESCRIPTION: Fifty is separated into ten groups of five.
ALL: Ten fives and nine fives are–
DESCRIPTION: One five runs off. The Nine fives come together and create Forty Five.
FORTY FIVE: 45!
DESCRIPTION: On stage, Forty Five plays the xylophone.
FORTY FIVE: It's chime time!
[Crowd cheering]
FORTY FIVE: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
[Chimes playing]
[Crowd cheering]
DESCRIPTION: Five runs on stage.
FIVE: Thank you, 45! Now it's time for the superstar with the gold guitar! Ten fives are–
DESCRIPTION: Five combines with Forty Five and creates Fifty.
CROWD: 50!
DESCRIPTION: Fifty plays a golden electric guitar.
[Crowd cheering]
[Horn honking]
DESCRIPTION: Suddenly, Thirty, Thirty Five, Twenty Five, and Forty Five walk into the arena.
THIRTY: Are we too late?
FIFTY: You're just in time! This number goes out to the Family of Fives! The All-Star Line Up!
ALL: Yeah!
DESCRIPTION: All of the Numberblocks come onstage and dance to Fifty’s music.
[Upbeat music]
